[fancypost borderwidth=0px; width:500px;][justify][size=9pt]Steadfast hadn't known Aspenpaw at all when the tom was captured by Shadowclan. Therefore, he would be no help to the apprentice. He still decided that it was worth his time to come over and perhaps offer some support to the boy. If that ever happened to Steadfast - he'd be an amnesiac and had forgotten how he received his injuries - he'd want to know how that had happened.
"I'm not sure," he said, settling on the ground near the apprentice. "I did not know you when you received those injuries."

[fancypost borderwidth=0px; width:500px;][justify][size=9pt]Another day of relaxing by the river once again turned into something hectic for the young man.
It did not take him long to notice an unfamiliar figure in the water. They looked frantic. It was in Steadfast's nature to instantly stand up and trot over to the water cautiously. It was always in the male's best interest to do what was best for Riverclan. Although he had not seen this kit around before, he would not let her simply drown. When he saw Bronze's tiny form, he jumped into the water, grabbed the kit by the scruff, and dragged her out of the water.
"Child? Are you okay?" He would question softly before curling around the kit, trying to keep her warm to the best of his ability. However, Steadfast had never had that fatherly touch; he was unsure what to do. How could he help her?

[fancypost borderwidth=0px; width:500px;][justify][size=9pt]"We are forced to allow you to join. Riverclan has an auto-acceptance policy. Whether we like it or not, you are part of Riverclan." Steadfast said to himself as he padded over. There seemed to be so many joiners nowadays. The male was obviously fine with it - that meant a bigger task force for Riverclan. However, he'd rather not waste his time at joinings or dual-alliances or whatever.

[fancypost borderwidth=0px; width:500px;][justify][size=9pt]Steadfast had actually been doing something for Riverclan. It was about time he did, as well; a solo patrol had lead the male to Caffeinerush. Alien smells always seemed to be looming about in the air nowadays. Loners, along with cats who fled other clans, were attracted to the fish-eaters a lot recently. Steadfast often found himself wondering why. He settled himself away from Chett; surprisingly, he was closer to the joiner this time. His claws were unsheathed: it was in his nature now to be ready. Just in case.
"I am Steadfast." He introduced himself silently, awaiting for Caffeinerush to give a response to Chett's question.

[fancypost borderwidth=0px; width:500px;][justify][size=9pt]A thud could be heard from inside the room. Steadfast had been drifting off to sleep on the edge of his bed. When Skippingstones knocked on the door, it startled to male and he fell to the ground. The initial contact hurt: he was sure he'd have a bruise somewhere the next day. However, it was quite easy to walk off. He went over to the door and opened it slowly; he possessed a minor fear of hitting his friend in the face. Steadfast didn't want to do anything to irritate her, especially now that she was pregnant.
"Skippy!" He said joyfully when he saw the girl's stunning blue eyes. Steadfast also realized that it was the first time in which he addressed her by her nickname and not her full name. He walked up to her instantly and wrapped a paw around her neck. "I feel like I haven't seen you in ages." He withdrew and stepped back before siting down. Feeling self-conscious about the fall he had minutes ago, the cream-and-white tabby began grooming himself. "Yeah, I'd love to go! Lead the way."

[fancypost borderwidth=0px; width:500px;][justify][size=9pt]In Steadfast's opinion, any animal that was large enough to take down a deer was considered 'dangerous'. Although Tadashi was loyal to his clan, it did not mean that the cream-and-white tabby would trust him. Sure, lions and tigers and bears alike could be extremely useful in battle... but that was the only thing Steadfast thought they were useful for.
Nonetheless, he would walk up besides Athena and give his leader a quick nod. "Yes, nice... catch." He said towards the tiger. He would not offer to help carry it back to camp as Athena had done; he was only a domestic, and therefore he could only carry about five pounds (although even that was a struggle for him). His eyes would continue to follow Tadashi, though.

[fancypost borderwidth=0px; width:500px;][justify][size=9pt]Steadfast would appear besides Jager, his eyes knotting together when they landed on Layla's form. He didn't know what in the hell that thing was, but surprisingly, he was not scared off by it. He had been rather used to seeing odd creatures about lately. He would classify her under that category. In the meantime, he would take a seat next to the riverguard, waiting to see what he would say towards Layla.
-
[fancypost borderwidth=0px; width:500px;][justify][size=9pt]Hm. Interesting.
Tigerstripes was a familiar-sounding name, but Steadfast could not put his tongue on where he had heard the name. However, he was not one to mull over anything, so he would come and stand next to Athena. His fur slightly bristled at the smell of of loner. He did not want to do anything rash, so he sunk his paws into the ground, trying to hide his angst.

[fancypost borderwidth=0px; width:500px;][justify][size=9pt]"I don't mind just fishing. I could sharpen my skills, anyways." Steadfast said to his friend, giving her a large smile as he followed her outside. Although he would not admit it, he was starting to grow feelings for the girl; however, just as her, he did not want to risk anything and damage their friendship. The male pushed these thoughts out of his mind as the pair neared the river.
"Mm. I hope nobody comes and bothers us." He said softly before flopping onto the ground. Steadfast had smelled something... interesting a ways back, but it was not worth investigating in his eyes. He was supposed to be spending time with his friend, after all.
(i'm really sorry for the late reply!)

[fancypost borderwidth=0px; width:500px;][justify][size=9pt]Steadfast would walk up next to Tadashi and look down at the young feline. He would not offer his name to the young girl, but already he could tell that she was promising enough. He sat down and continued to watch the kit. The riverguard trainee decided to speak up a bit when Ivylee voiced her question.
"Children are not supposed to leave the camp. It's very dangerous in the territory." Steadfast said quietly. "I suppose that it would be better than you trying to go around and get lost, though. I will take you around the territory if need be. Afterwards, I can show you the steam boat as well." He normally would not offer to do anything along these lines, but Skippingstones' kits were arriving soon. He wanted to be prepared to deal with them.
-
[fancypost borderwidth=0px; width:500px;][justify][size=9pt]Steadfast didn't know who Spacepup was before their name change, so he would only know them as their new name. He looked somewhat skeptical as he walked over, though; he could not understand why so many changed their names. Perhaps to get away from bad memories? He would not question the pup about why they changed it, though. After all, wasn't that a rude thing to do? To prod into somebody's past like that?
He lay down near Ivylee, a small frown on his jaw. He assumed that this would turn into a miniature meet-and-greet. "I'm Steadfast." He said to the duo. He would not offer a 'nice to meet you' or a 'it's a pleasure' to either of them. It was simply that male's way of going about.
-
[fancypost borderwidth=0px; width:500px;][justify][size=9pt]"You are in Riverclan territory."
He took large strides up until about ten meters from Alfie. Steadfast had been working on making himself more relaxed with loners at the border. He knew most - if not all - came to join Riverclan. Sure, sometimes they made him feel extremely uneasy, but he knew most of them had a good heart. He hoped this guy was not a trespasser; if he was, that would make Steadfast loose all hope whatsoever in learning to work with joiners.
"My name is Steadfast. What can I do for you?" He said in the politest tone possible.
(tAKE IT SLOW
WAIT FOR THEM TO ASK YOU WHO YOU KNOW)
-
[fancypost borderwidth=0px; width:500px;][justify][size=9pt]"Well, you know how I am. I don't get along with others easily. Besides, having another classmate join us... it would take away attention from each other." Steadfast replied before letting out a massive yawn. He was growing very drowsy all of a sudden. He believed it to be because Skippingstones had woken him up; whenever he did wake up, he often felt drowsy for a while after, at least. He looked over to his friend and gave her a smile, trying to push the tired feeling away.
(how are you mobile?! i refuse to believe it)
-
[fancypost borderwidth=0px; width:500px;][justify][size=9pt]"Oh, shit," he whispered, moving closer to Skippingstones. "Skippy?! Are you alright?" He asked, trying to nudge her, but falling over. His eyelids were beginning to droop shut. Steadfast tried his best to keep them open. However, he quickly fell into a deep sleep right after his friend.
-
[fancypost borderwidth=0px; width:500px;][justify][size=9pt]Steadfast had a small smile on his face as he walked over. He sat down next to Skippingstones, giving his best friend a nudge before focusing his attention back on Tadashi and Radiumveins. Oddly enough, the pair reminded him of his parents. He wondered how they had met, how they had pronounced their love for one another. It was always a mystery to the riverguard trainee as to why certain people met others... and how they fell in love. He looked over to Skippingstones once more before putting his paw on top of hers.
-
[fancypost borderwidth=0px; width:500px;][justify][size=9pt]Although he was not 'technically' a high position - riverguard trainees were considered semi-high positions - Steadfast would still pad over. He took a seat next to Haise, his full attention already on Radiumveins. The cream-and-white tabby wondered what the Riverclan warrior had to say to Athena. He was not present at her last suggestion; he was completely in the dark with the topic. He was sure that it would benefit the clan in one way or another, though.
-
[fancypost borderwidth=0px; width:500px;][justify][size=9pt]Steadfast felt weary around animals larger than him. Nonetheless, he would pad over and stop a few meters from the joiner. He said his name was Enzo, huh? He had to admit that he did like the name. He'd never heard it before. The cream-and-white tom stored it in his head for a possible later time. He now knew that he would never forget this guy's name.
"Welcome to Riverclan, then," he meowed, looking slightly disinterested. "My name is Steadfast." He would not say anything further, hoping that the fox wouldn't question him about anything Riverclan-related whatsoever. Although Steadfast was good at hunting fish, he would rather not teach anybody about it.
-
[fancypost borderwidth=0px; width:500px;][justify][size=9pt]Steadfast couldn't believe it. These were Skippingstones' children.
They were so much... different than he expected them to be. He had never been inclined to be around children, so the cream-and-white tom had never really found out how kids acted and the likes. A curious expression skimmed across his face for a moment as he slowly walked over, eyes never betraying the small figures of Meltedkit and Summerkit.
"I'm..." he breathed, faltering somewhat. "Steadfast. I know your Mom. She's my best friend." A sudden realization went through his mind that this could be him in a few months. He could have a family. And shit... he could have kids. Steadfast hoped that these children would be easy to help raise.
-
[fancypost borderwidth=0px; width:500px;][justify][size=9pt]A sudden burst of energy had come from nowhere within Steadfast's depths. As soon as the tom had awakened, the most disgusting scent flooded into his nostrils. He knew the smell from anywhere. The man's heart sunk to the bottom of his chest almost immediately. There was no way in hell that this didn't mean he was captured. All he'd been wanting to do was spend a nice, relaxing day with Skippingstones, and...
Oh, fuck. Skippingstones.
He wasn't sure how in the world he'd forgotten about the girl. His eyes slid open slowly. Almost immediately, his eyes flew to the mottled riverguard. His breath hitched when he saw her seemingly lifeless form. She was carrying kits for crying out loud. Swallowing hard, Steadfast's eyes opened the rest of the way and he pushed off of the ground. Paying no attention to the Shadowclanners, he walked over to Skippingstones and nudged her with his nose.
