[fancypost borderwidth=0px;]The three-year and some-month-old feline slowly but surely allowed himself to move towards the growing group. He did not see much of a point in making baskets - he knew certain people who were able to conjure items at will; why couldn't they just make them appear? Nonetheless, Steadfast was intrigued by the way these guys were making them. He sat himself some ways away with a grunt and allowed his golden eyes to wander.

[fancypost borderwidth=0px;]Steadfast had heard of some herbs in his lifetime, but he had never really taken an interest in them. Nonetheless, he thought it wouldn't be a horrible idea to sit in and at least listen. 'The more you learn,' he said to himself, 'the better.'
He took silent notice of all the interested felines. It sort of bothered him how many wanted to be in the medicine field; after all, to him, it was a privilege to serve Riverclan as a warrior. His golden eyes scanned over the crowd forming around Minnowscales.
'I'm observing.' He said, his voice rough and deep.

[fancypost borderwidth=0px;]The male heard shrieks of help, and his instant reaction was to do just that. He had not planned on doing this today by any means (then again, who would have?) but it was always in his best interest to help.
The larger-sized feline leapt from the ground, his claws extended outwards towards the nearest avian he could find. The bird had been taking off but he had the weight advantage. As soon as its feet hit the ground, Steadfast sunk his teeth into its skull. He spat the foul taste from his mouth and fought his way over to Tequilapup.
'Are you alright?' He asked the young pup, trying to shield her under himself.

[fancypost borderwidth=0px; width:500px]The cream-and-white colored male solemnly spoke with others, but he had been absent in Riverclan for such a long time he no longer knew anybody's name. Besides - he figured one of these couldn't do any harm. It'd be a great way to meet others.
'I'm Steadfast. Nice to meet you all.' The warrior said politely, a hint of a smile teasing his mouth.

[fancypost borderwidth=0px; width:500px]'I could be of help. Not sure how great I'd be at it, but I could give mentoring a shot.' Steadfast had been observing for a couple of minutes now. He'd never had an apprentice before (which was somewhat concerning to the older male, seeing as he was three years old already). 'Just tell me who to grab and I'll shape 'em up in no time.'

Steadfast - RiverClan
Gender: Cisgender male
Sexuality: Heterosexual/heteroromantic
Age: 41 moons (3 years 5 months)
Rank: Riverguard
Appearance
Almost immediately, it is easy to be able to distinguish Steadfast from the rest of his clanmates. To begin, he is one of the few with a tabbied pelt. His, specifically, makes him a mackerel tabby. Secondly, Steadfast's fur color mirrors next to nobody within RiverClan. He is cream-and-white, though often appears to be orange. The white covers bits of his maw and flows down to his stomach. He also has a bit of white here-and-there around his paws, all of which hold their own unique markings. Finally, his stature is unlike anybody else's.
Personality
Loyal | As a warrior, Steadfast has no other job but to serve his clan. He is fully committed to his job and chooses to at least try and do a good job. Furthermore, he does what he believes is best for Riverclan at any time. He will fight until his last breath for his clan.
Intelligent |
Emotionless | Steadfast is often referred to as a 'stoney-faced' guy, and there's a good reason for it too: he does not have emotions. He is not completely emotionless, but when he does start to feel anything, he buries it completely, save for when he is with somebody whom he trusts.
Stubborn |
Distrustful |

[fancypost borderwidth=0px; width:500px]Joyfulness. It was an alien feeling for the warrior to have. He was always at least somewhat proud and grateful, but anything relating to joy had been cast away from him a long time ago. He loved the feeling. He forgot what it was like to have real emotions.
He lounged against the side of a tree. He wanted this to be a lazy day. Steadfast nibbled slowly on a mouse he killed earlier. He was... peaceful.
-
[fancypost borderwidth=0px; width:500px]Two pairs of alabaster-colored paws moved in a direction just left of the group. Steadfast knew none of these felines, and he was definitely not going to immerse himself into them. However, the warrior didn't have any obligations to simply observing, so he sat himself down near the edge of everybody else and listened.
It took zero seconds before he heard Warblerwing being called 'Warbee'. He did not know the feline, but Steadfast knew he would never want to be called 'Steady' or anything along those lines. The cream-and-white tom felt that it was in his duty to stand up for her. After all, he was a serious little prick.
'If I may... I do believe it's rather rude to call others name that they wish to not be called.' He growled quietly, his eyes turning into slits. 'I'm Steadfast.'
-
[fancypost borderwidth=0px; width:500px;]Golden eyes lurked behind a couple of branches. He readied himself to pounce on his prey. He unsheathed his recently-sharpened claws; he didn't dare take his eyes off his target. At the best moment he could grab, the male leapt forward, paws extending outwards to grab his prey; of course, being the ever-serious tom as he was, his prey was a leaf.
Steadfast couldn't be any happier than he was at the moment.
He had so many things for which to be grateful. He was lucky enough to have come back from what seemed like the dead. He was in Riverclan, for Christ's sake, right at the point in which summer was starting to push spring away! Not to mention he was starting to integrate himself back into the clan and learn who everybody was.
The cream-and-white feline gave a hearty chuckle and splashed into the water of a nearby stream. 'What an amazing day to be alive,' he thought to himself, a smile teasing his mouth.
-
[fancypost borderwidth=0px; width:500px;]A sudden change of heart had overtaken the tom. He would usually not try and immerse himself in these activities, but Steadfast couldn't help himself in this moment. He was happy for once in his life and he would not let anything stop him from doing what he wanted. Of course, however, he would still attempt to hide his emotions. He couldn't let anyone know.
'I can mentor any group,' the three-year-old said with a grunt as he padded over, his usual rough and low voice overtaking any feeling of happiness that was to shine through.
-
[fancypost borderwidth=0px; width:500px;]Steadfast was happy. He wasn't immune.
Immune, that is, to the sun's ultraviolet rays that beat down upon the earth and warmed everything in sight. The tom had made the grave mistake of going to tan earlier. Unbeknownst to him, he would later fall asleep in the sun and roast like a pig over an open fire. It was so hot. At first, Steadfast was able to heave himself off the ground, but less than a half a mile later he was struggling to keep moving. He had one intention in his head - the river after which his clan was named.
Lucky for the cream-and-white feline, it was not much further until he reached it. Once in sight Steadfast used all of his energy and bounded towards it. He let out a loud moan as he entered the water and could not help but down about a pint of it. The water was literal Heaven on Earth.
-
[fancypost borderwidth=0px; width:500px;]Steadfast let a grin sneak past his jaw to the female who had approached him. It was unusual for him to be interacting with anybody in a one-on-one. It was even more unusual for him to smile.
His teeth was still clamped down upon the leaf. It tasted horrible, but the tom was enjoying himself. 'Ah, yea, I remember you,' the cream-and-white colored feline said, his voice coming out in a lisp (he had still not taken the leaf out of mouth). 'Sorry if I, er... acted harsh towards you at all. I don't really tolerate impoliteness though. Treat others how you would want to be treated, y'know? It's my philosophy.' By this time, he had taken the leaf out of his mouth. He didn't want this conversation to go down a serious road, but he felt as if it was heading that way.
'Anyways, it's a pleasure.'
-
[fancypost borderwidth=0px; width:500px;]Steadfast had not remembered how much fun he had doing whatever he wanted (mind you, the last thing he did whatever he wanted was when he was a kit - nearly three years ago). He'd always been jealous of others possessing a power of some kind, as it was his only wish to be able to fly or go fast to cool off on a day like today.
However, as he was able to do neither of these, he settled on going for a swim. Steadfast fancied the idea for no more than a second before taking off toward the river. He'd forgotten how amazing it felt to splash around in the water and cool off. He assumed it'd be taking up most of his summer activities.

[fancypost borderwidth=0px; width:500px;]The male was albeit somewhat scared to teach others how to swim. He wasn't concerned about them drowning or anything, but this meant he was actually starting to teach others. However, he figured this wouldn't be a bad step towards getting an apprentice.
'Alright. I'm new to this teaching thing, so don't yell at me if I screw up.' Steadfast went over his past sentence and a queasy look crossed over his face. 'Er, scratch that. Let's just start off with introductions. My name is Steadfast - nice to meet you three.' His eyes scanned over the young Riverclanners and his heart swelled with pride. It was nice to see small members of his home clan getting out and about.
-
[fancypost borderwidth=0px; width:500px;]Steadfast gave a quick glance at his group - all of them were younger than six moons. 'Perfect,' he thought to himself, giving them all a quick smile before his face returned to its usual state of stone cold.

[fancypost borderwidth=0px; width:500px;]Seeing as the stranger had already been addressed, Steadfast walked over and sat down, not daring to say a word. However, he made sure to pay close attention to the canine; he had a foreign scent on him that the warrior would not trust. Just because the animal was cold and sopping wet didn't mean Steadfast shouldn't be cautious. He unsheathed his claws and narrowed his eyes. 'Just in case.'
(um wow I love the title ft. Brendon Urie)
-
[fancypost borderwidth=0px; width:500px;]The tom shook himself off as he exited the river and water dispersed everywhere. He felt slightly uncomfortable with water still being trapped in his fur, but Steadfast was not the kind of guy to purposefully get dirty - besides, he figured the feeling would leave him soon enough.
'I'm glad you feel the same way about it,' he said, giving her a small smile. He felt now that his fun was generally over for the day. He always attempted to conceal his emotions from his clanmates, no matter who they were. 'Uh, I like to help Riverclan. I don't really have any hopes or dreams or any of that - that's not the kind of guy I am.' His scratchy voice conveyed hints of annoyance with the other feline but he would not push her away. He needed to re-learn Riverclan.
'Well... I want an apprentice soon. I think you know that already though, eh? How about you?'
