  • my dog is displaying some really abnormal behaviour?

    heya! i've got a small list of questions for i ramble off and such oop. my first question is what dog food are you feeding her? in addition how much how many times a day? also how much does she weigh overall roughly do you think right now? has she noticeably lost weight since her miscarriage / false pregnancy (minus the 'puppy' weight of course, moreso around her ribs, spine, and hips)? has she been spayed since the incident?

    the immediate provide without those answers consist of a few small notes. she'll definitely need to see a vet, budgeting or time constraint or not that's most definitely vet worthy and a check up overall would be good for her. this isn't super time sensitive but eventually it'd be a good a move. additionally if an animal absolutely does not want to enter a space i would always refrain from forcing it, that could very easily drive her to bite someone or cause trauma to the animal. i can't for sure vouch why she doesn't want to enter the space (it could be any massive number of reasons, strange and unexplained included in which i could provide separate advice for i just wanted to touch up on medical first oop, if you think an entity / something unwelcome is present please feel free to pm me and i'll provide what help i can. i know not everyone believes in that sort of thing after all <3) but trying to capitlize on her food inhibition and see if that corrects the problem is definitely a good idea. green beans, boiled unsalted chicken, zucchini, sweet potato, raw egg (no shell), apple slices, jerky treats, etc. are really good tempters for dogs that respond well to food!

    a change of diet for sure, i'd suggest fromm (what i'm currently feeding, a step up from taste of the wild while still remaining affordable), taste of the wild (100% recommend this, my dogs love it and the protein balance is ideal for any age dog), merrick, or nature's variety for a good middleground high quality dog food. as for the best i'd say that easily goes to acana (top quality, one of the best i've seen, high protein so not for dogs under 6 months or over 6 years) or orijen (the singular most impressive food i've seen so far, cost $$$ but pays out in the long run, very very high in protein so do not give to puppies or seniors as it can tax their kidneys). it's all about how money is doing of course but any of those would be looking at more than a 50% in nutrition and diet improvement alone! 99% of dog foods will have you feed according to wait and this is the preferable route unless you have a very active or sporting dog otherwise feeding to weight is the way to go! i hope any of that can be of help to you and your sweet girl! ♥

    oh yes and spaying would be a good route if you're not planning to breed her, alongside prolonging her life span it comes with several benefits! more often that not you can go to spay clinics and have a spay done for no more than $60-$80 which is much better than the full surgery price!

    alright so for my girl i'm torn between two looks, a tortie with tuxedo white or a dark brown tabby with low white (chin, chest, underbelly). the tortie would be medium furred and slim likely and the tabby long furred with thick prominent muscles. ♥

    silvering is an entirely separate gene from dilute, etc. and can be classified alongside smoke (they're 100% the same thing) in regards that it's a modifier (like a sable german shepherd versus and a black and tan german shepherd)! although tbh i'd just say for those genetics dilute is referring to red not the silver. so a silver dilute torbie would be a silver / cream torbie and so on and so forth versus talking about that weird shading stuff

    both skyclan and thunderclan are lit af, thunderclan is more active if that's what you're looking for but both have amazing communities and characters ! as for names maybe snowyeyes, palegaze, whiteeyes, etc. i rlly dig cloudgaze for sure as it works for a white cat and a blind cat so it's like a double whammy !
