[fancypost borderwidth=0px;][justify][size=9pt]A bead of sweat lined the boy's baby face as he pushed a slate of disc shaped rocks, nudging them as a stack to a perfect distance. The height of the circle carved rocks overwhelmed his own tallness, but his red panda was quick to scale the objects he'd formed from his elemental powers. "Hey, you better look out!" Bolin teased the little critter, tilting his head and smiling a little. The red panda glanced down at him, before springing on to the lion's back. "So, I figured I'd give you a new name, just like me. How do you like Ursa? You're Ursa, the big bear!" Bolin glanced up at the pet, whom he'd reccently figured out was female. He thought the name was appropriate. Red pandas weren't technically panda bears, but Bo thought his sidekick was as fierce as one.
Ursa, proud of her name, chirped happily, bouncing off Bolin's shoulder to make way for him. The maneless lion typically did a rigorous work out every day he could, and when he didn't, he took jogs, little sprinting sessions. This time, along with his stack of rock tablets, was a decaying tree, having been split in two due to a storm one way or another. It was marked with red and white paint, a sloppy bull's eye. Bolin, grin still evident, slipped into a stable stance, balancing himself. Then, he began. Instead of staying rigid, he swayed along the earth, almost as if swiftly evading invisible attacks with ease. Then, declared as the perfect moment, he struck. With a jerk of a paw and a thrust of his head, two discs went flying toward the target. The rocks were lightweight because of their shape, and spun as they sped towards the tree. Upon impact, the discs crumbled, brittle as they were simply used for training.
But Bolin hasn't stopped with the two. With Ursa scampering about to get a good look, two more discs hit the tree at either of its sides. Continuing his fluid movements, Bolin would carry on with this exercise until he was left with one disc, which he kept levitating over a paw, regaining his breath and energy. Earthbending took a lot of strength, and it took a lot more than just rippling muscles and confidence to excell in it. Bolin knew there had to be a certain emotion, a tone of the moment, for him to be at his best.
