[fancypost bgcolor=; border: 0px solid #000000; width: 400px;][justify]Lucy didn't have the ability to talk, so telepathy and getting inside people's heads was the only form of communication possible. The cub looked at Inuyasha with wide, dull eyes and titled her head. He seemed a bit angry at the fact she communicated with him telepathically, and that worried Lucy. She hadn't really made anyone angry before, and the though made her shiver. 'I can not speak,' she said before pointing to the large gash on her throat where her vocal cords were taken out, 'so I speak like this.' Lucy felt a bit embarrassed at this fact, for she never met anyone else that can't speak. It wasn't rare that her telepathy spooked someone. Zedekiah was very scared whenever the cub greeted him telepathically. It confused Lucy because she didn't look at all threatening. She was skinny and borderline malnourished, she had dull claws and teeth, and she did not know how to fight. Lucy would have tried to fight back against the scientists if it were not for these facts. It was the scientists fault for these technicalities. Lucy couldn't predict if she would ever be able to fight due to her uncontrolled grasp on the sight. The only thing that the sight was good for it seemed was seeing ghosts, and that wasn't something that Lucy particularly enjoyed. 'I am sorry.' The cub directed her eyes towards the ground so her apology seemed more sincere. Lucy most certainly was sorry, it was not in her nature to ever lie about something after all. In fact, the clone had never lied about anything in her life. The concept of lying was sort of confusing and Lucy did not understand it. Then again, the cub did not understand a lot of things. Lucy kind of hoped Inuyasha wouldn't be like Eileen and try to force the cub to hunt. Every time Lucy managed to snag hold of a small animal, she would let it go because it would scream in pain. Why should she end a life to sustain her own? Lucy was more content with eating vegetables and fruits than eating meat. If it came down to it, Lucy always ate something small from the fresh kill pile. Eating meat didn't settle right with her. The clone didn't want to share her name right now in case Inuyasha dismissed her. She was trying her best to be normal, after all.

[fancypost bgcolor=; border: 0px solid #000000; width: 400px;][justify]Lucy kind of wished she could read sometimes. The shapes on flower seed packets were hard to understand. All the cub had to go by were the pictures, and she didn't even know what kind of flowers they were. All she knew was the colors and shapes. She figured it didn't matter as long as they grew and remotely looked like flowers. The cub carefully walked out of her cabin, watering pail seated comfortably in her jaws, and got to work on the flowers she had planted earlier this week. It was getting a little easier to get around with the brand on her stomach since it was healing, but that didn't mean it stopped hurting. The cub smiled softly as the water droplets slid down the bright petals of her flowers. They were so peaceful and beautiful. It made Lucy forget about the bad things in life. Simple things like this were everything to the cub. She had started out with nothing and now she had a home, friends, food, and shelter. Lucy felt safe. She put the pail back in her cabin and laid down in a sunspot, soaking up the warmth while she could. Being so skinny, it was hard to keep warm sometimes after all.

[fancypost bgcolor=; border: 0px solid #000000; width: 400px;][justify]Lucy nodded to his question and sported a thoughtful expression. Lucy had tried to do stuff, but it has come to her attention that speaking in her dreams was hard. The cub didn't know if it was because she has never heard her own voice or what, but she just couldn't speak in dreams, telepathically or verbally. 'I get through it. Dreams end.' That didn't mean that the dreams didn't bother her, though. Sometimes they were so extreme so woke up breathing heavily. She wouldn't bother Jeff with that information, though. She didn't like people feeling bad for her. 'Do you like flowers?' The cub mentally scolded herself. Of course he liked flowers, he was making flower crowns! 'I mean. Do you like planting flowers?' Lucy liked planting flowers and watching them grow to their full potential.

[fancypost bgcolor=; border: 0px solid #000000; width: 400px;][justify]Lucy was glad they had something in common. Flowers were part of Lucy's everyday schedule. She would wake up, eat a piece of fruit, water her plants, and go do something else. The cub did not know why she liked them so much, maybe it was because there was no color in the lab... and flowers were full of color. Lucy figured it didn't matter because the origin of her love for the plants would not alter anything now. 'They are pretty.' It was pretty much an echo of what Jeff had said, but Lucy wanted to reiterate that she thought they were pretty also. Kate liked flowers too, so maybe that's why Lucy liked Kate so much. Though, she didn't know if Jettison liked them or not. Lucy figured it did not matter, much like her origin of liking them. 'Do you like fruit? Do you like vegetables?' Perhaps Jeff would want a snack, Lucy had a few fruits and veggies back in her cabin.

[fancypost bgcolor=; border: 0px solid #000000; width: 400px;][justify]Pregnant? Lucy did not know what that meant, but chose not to inquire on it for it seemed Kate was panicked by the word. Why was she acting so sad and weird around Jettison? Perhaps his personality was a bit too overwhelming for Kate? Perhaps pregnant meant that Kate was sad or something. Lucy also did not understand what Blissfulchaos meant by 'you'll be a great momma', but chose not to inquire about that either. This whole conversation made the cubs head spin. 'Kate? Are you okay?' They both seemed a little on edge and Lucy wanted to know why, but didn't want to risk upsetting them even more by asking. Oh! Maybe pregnant meant that she was hungry? Lucy could give Kate some of her fruit that she found. Well, Kate had her own garden but it's the thought that counts, right?

Lucy did not know how to describe Windclan in simple terms. It was home and yet.. it wasn't home. Lucy did not know what a real home would be, though. 'Happy. People are happy. Sometimes.' Kate had been rather sad looking the last time Lucy had seen her, so everyone being happy was not the whole truth. Jettison was always happy it seemed, and so was Icedtea. Well, at least to Lucy they seemed happy. 'It makes me happy.' It made Lucy feel like she had an actual family when in all reality it would be impossible for the young cub to have one. Everyone treated her so nicely, and the thought of remaining in Scarclan forever was kind of scary. Perhaps Lithiumpaw would want to come to Windclan to visit? She didn't seem all that bad, aside from the capturing part.

[fancypost bgcolor=; border: 0px solid #000000; width: 400px;][justify]Lucy did not know why Inuyasha was being so... abrasive? with her. She did not know what word to use for his behavior, but it seemed he could barely tolerate her presence. Lucy was bad at telling emotions and stuff like that, but she felt bad for seemingly causing the canine some distress. Was it distress? The cub couldn't tell, like with most things. The way he said what he did put the cub on edge a little. Was he going to hurt her? Surely Praguepaw or someone would come to her rescue... right? Inuyasha didn't really want to hurt her... right? She was a bit too scared to say anything that made sense. If Lucy tried to communicate now, it would just come through in a bunch of jumbled words that made no sense whatsoever. Something about this Windclanner seemed a bit different from the rest. But Lucy chose not to dwell on it, like most things. Perhaps he was just anti-social. 'I do not know what else I could do. Besides speak. Like this.' Perhaps clarifying that the extent of her telepathic powers only reached telepathic communication would make him nicer. The extent of her sight abilities only went as far as ghosts... as far as she knew. The cub did see her past but she was mostly convinced that was just a dream. For the most part. Maybe he was just really nice but was acting like this because he was shy. Yeah, that's what Lucy decided was the problem. Maybe some gentle nudging would get him to open up. 'I am Lucy. Hey! What is up?' She hoped that would make her seem cool and friendly. Lucy had heard people say 'what's up' and decided to try it. But, she did not understand it. The sky was up, what else would be up? Maybe a tree or something. The cub sighed noiselessly and looked at Inuyasha. Perhaps begging would help too? But then would Inuyasha think her to be pathetic? Lucy was already pretty pathetic, but she didn't want to be pathetic and hurt. Personally she though he wouldn't risk his Windclan membership to beat up someone like her, but you never know. Just like how she though some humans wouldn't brand her in plain sight. 'I can not fight. Please do not hurt me. I am sorry.' Good, maybe that convinced him. Some gentle nudging, friendly introductions, and healthy begging. Perhaps she was safe now. Besides, Lucy would probably be bored in her cabin right now. Nightmares would be plaguing her, so why not walk around and get tired so she could force herself to sleep. Perhaps also telling him her nickname would help! Lucy just really did not want to get hurt again. 'You can call me Luce.' Man, her thoughts were all over the place and she couldn't keep one idea. Maybe after this she could go talk to Kate about honing her abilities. It would be nice to be able to block out ghosts every now and then. Nathan, the one that follows her, was really scary. He was a human so that made it worse. Ghosts were scary, but human ghosts were the absolute worst.

Lucy lifts her head up at Redkit's voice and smiled at his presence. She did not know why she wouldn't be okay. It's not like anything in the past can change, after all. Her bruises from Phil's attack were mostly healed, but the skin was still a little tender. Most of the time she could not even feel it. 'Hey.' A simple greeting, though it sounded more like a call to get someones attention rather than a greeting. She also did not know why his name was Redkit, he didn't seem red to her. Though, she supposed it was just a name. Maybe his favorite color was red? Did anyone even get to choose their own name? Lucy sort of chose her own name. But, she guessed that parents named their children. That's how it worked, right? 'Yes. I am alright. I guess.' Other than the brand, she was basically fine. And Lucy wasn't about to let some weird brand hold her back from doing stuff. Maybe she looked a little rough? Lucy didn't know what else could be wrong after all. Maybe he was just trying to make conversation? She still did not understand the reasons for any of these things. 'Are you okay?' Maybe he was hungry. She had food to spare, after all. It would go bad before she got a chance to eat it seeing as she only eats a little bit at a time. Maybe he was still sad over Vic? It had been a little while since the funeral. Either way, she would try her best to help if something was indeed the matter with Redkit.

Lucy was concerned this time, not confused, and looked at Kate with wide eyes. There was a different ghost than the one she usually saw and the cub froze in fear. It was a human ghost. Human ghosts were the worst, and it seemed this one was proving her point. Lucy saw Sunscar and hoped he would be able to save Kate. She wouldn't be able to do anything really because Lucy was very weak and terrible at climbing sadly. Why were ghosts always hanging around Kate? Did she know them some how? This one seemed to be kind of mean if he wanted Kate to jump off the roof. Lucy, though, did not know that if one fell off a roof they would most likely die. Lucy did not realize just how much danger Kate was really in during all of this. 'Kate?' She question softly. She looked rather scared, and Lucy hoped the rabbit would be alright. If anything happened to Kate, Lucy did not know what she would do. Maybe the ghost was just making a joke. She didn't understand the joke if it was one, and Kate seemed to not understand the joke either. Lucy doubted this was a joke anymore. Her friend was dangling from a building and there was a human in the area. Humans were truly awful beings. 'Get away from her.' Lucy calmly stated to the human. Maybe the ghost was some sort of illusion that was playing tricks on the cub. After all, she was sleep deprived. Did Sunscar not see the human? Lucy always thought that everyone could see ghosts. This was a ghost, right? Maybe if Kate fell, she could land on Lucy. The cub doubted it would hurt, anyway.

[fancypost bgcolor=; border: 0px solid #000000; width: 400px;][justify]//she is indeed a v. smol child
The last time Lucy had felt fear for her own safety, it was with Phil. And even then, despite her friends efforts, she managed to get attacked and electrocuted by his dragon form. The cub wouldn't admit this to Phil, but the whole scenario still scared her, often inducing nightmares. While usually her nightmares were about ghosts and her past, the ones about Phil were extra scary. Being attacked by a dragon isn't all fun and games, after all. But, Lucy doubted Inuyasha would turn into a dragon and attack her. But still, the memories were all so scarring. She chose not to let them bother her though, because she didn't want others to worry about her. Come to think of it, she kept most of her painful memories hidden. Well, part of that was due to not being able to explain them. Most Windclanners didn't know what clones, labs, and scientists were. Well, it seemed Jeff knew, but that was one out of like fifty. Maybe Inuyasha knew what clones were, he had this sort of enigma surrounding him. His speech seemed different than her other friends, and she was confused by that. Why did he speak differently? It seemed most Windclanners had the same dialect, so this made Lucy wonder where Inuyasha was from. Maybe he just used this speech, like an accessory. Lucy did not know how alter her mental voice like that. Well, she didn't even know what to compare her mental voice to. It was soothing in a way. Lucy had never heard her own voice, so she didn't know where she got this one from. His name though. It was unlike anything Lucy had ever heard. She wondered, did he name himself? Not many had the privilege, or curse, of that. Technically Lucy didn't name herself, the scientists just called her Lucy. Her name was basically the only word she knew when joining Windclan. She remembers her joining quite vividly. Lucy had not known any words, and could only communicate via charades. It was a tough first few days, but she managed to develop telepathy from some great stroke of luck. She did not know why Inuyasha was so apprehensive about it, though. Perhaps he didn't like telepathy for some weird reason. Lucy had tried to learn how to defend herself, but it was rather hard due to her dull claws and teeth. She guessed the humans didn't want her to be hostile and dangerous, so they made her appendages dull. Her life was doomed to being looked at and desired. Fat humans wanted her; whenever they would visit the lab, they would reach out and try to pick her up. Their grubby, sweaty hands grappling to grasp at her limbs. It wasn't a fun time whenever they visited. Lucy visibly shuttered at the terrifying memories and peered up at Inuyasha. He was far from a fat human, so she felt safe around him. To an extent, of course. 'I am alone. Outside of territory I do not get hurt.' Though, Savagepanda had said that some 'Exilers' would want to eat her. She was confused at that, for her flesh was not authentic. She felt it was synthetic sometimes. But Lucy, herself, felt normal. Like she was born to an actual cheetah and not some surrogate mother who died shortly after her birth. Lucy was not aware of the fact that telepathy could be used for fighting, but if she did, she was sure that it would not be used that way. After such a hard first few months of life, Lucy considered herself a peaceful cub, not one that desires to go off and fight. His next sentence confused her. Lucy did not have a good sense of smell and relied of memory of voices rather than scent to remember people. She did't really know how scent memorization worked, anyway. 'Scent? I can not smell. Not very good.' Lucy often wondered what she smelled like to other people, but chose to not think about it. She had a sense of smell to an extent, but she had to be very close to the object to smell it. Fruit had a distinct smell, but Windclanners all smelled the same kind of. They all smelled like... the territory? Lucy figured they all sort of smelled the same since they were always together. Lucy preferred to remember voices and names, so whenever she heard his weird dialect, she would know it was Inuyasha. Simple enough, and his name was unique so it was easier to remember. One thing Lucy was blessed with was a good memory, so she was very good at remembering useful stuff and painful stuff. 'I like your name. I will remember it.' It was true, but she would remember it anyway. There weren't many things Lucy didn't like. She mostly disliked ghosts, humans, and eating meat. That was a bout it. Meat was part of the reason Lucy was so malnourished looking because she barely ate meat. It made her feel bad that a life had ended just for her survival. So, she stuck to veggies and fruit.

She wasn't exactly the most physically fit cheetah out there. Lucy also doubted she would like it here in Scarclan, but it was not her place to refuse such a generous offer like a walk. 'Yes. I will not run. I am slow. At running.' She might as well get the whole truth out there so Lithiumpaw trusted her at least. Lucy tried not to think about Windclan, for she didn't want Lithiumpaw to possibly worry about her. Well, maybe Scarclan wouldn't be that bad? Lithiumpaw seemed nice, so maybe the other members were nice as well. The name sounded kind of scary, though. She noticed Lithiumpaw was kind of big like Kate was. Maybe they ate too much? Lucy had heard Kate freak out about pregnancy, but she still did not know what the whole thing was. Maybe it meant you were hungry. If that was the case, Lucy was kind of pregnant too.

[fancypost bgcolor=; border: 0px solid #000000; width: 400px;][justify]Lucy was quite tired. She was having so much trouble sleeping lately, and the lack of rest was taking its toll on the young cub. After all, growing bodies needed sleep in order to function correctly. Lucy was doing her daily routine of watering flowers and other things that deal with gardening. The cub did not know why she liked it so much, perhaps it was the calming feel of nurturing something to life and its full potential. Yeah, that was probably it. Lucy smiled with satisfaction as the tiny plants were watered. They were once dormant seeds, and now they were sprouting out of the ground. Maybe Lucy liked them so much because they brought color into her life, whereas a few months ago, the only color in her life was white. The walls of the lab were white, the floor was white, the humans had white coats on; it was all so... dull. But now these flowers just made everything more interesting. Lucy put the watering pail back in her cabin and walked out, looking at her surroundings. It was a nice day out, but it was a little too cold for Lucy. Then again, she was always cold but it's not like she could do anything about it. The cub realized that her brand was not hurting anymore, and that made her smile softly. So her friends were right, it would get better. Perhaps she was just a little too pessimistic at that time. Lucy looked in front of her and spotted a small mouse. It looked a little skittish, and Lucy could relate to that honestly. The cub approached the rodent and bent down to its level. She could hear its stomach rumbling, so the cub went into her cabin real quick and grabbed a piece of fruit before laying it in front of the mouse. Small paws grabbed at the produce and took a bite out of it. Lucy smiled, happy she helped someone out.

The cub looked at Kate, her kids, and then to Victorypaw with wide, confused eyes. 'I am confused. What is happening?' Lucy jumped back a little when the 'beans' started meowing. Were they some cat bean thing? Lucy had no idea what to think. She had never been exposed to birth, the birds and the bees talk, and reproduction in general so she had no idea what the heck was going on. Why were people fawning over meowing beans? It was awfully confusing. Was birth some type of word to describe pain? 'Kate. Are you okay?' Were these little things hurting her in some way? It was all expected that Lucy didn't know what was going on, she was still very young after all and naive to how the world works, for good and for bad.

[fancypost bgcolor=; border: 0px solid #000000; width: 400px;][justify]Lucy lifted her eyes from the peaceful sight of a mouse eating to look at Hospitalkit with dull, green eyes. Was she confused on what a piece of fruit was? Or was she confused on the mouse? Maybe Hospitalkit was pointing to something else entirely, Lucy couldn't really tell. The fellow childs pelt reminded Lucy of Jettison's pelt, making her smile for a second. 'A mouse. And fruit.' She figured to mention both of them in case Hospitalkit was talking about the fruit and not the mouse. Better to explain everything than to explain nothing, after all. 'What is your name?' Lucy decided to try out a new greeting if that's what you can even call a greeting. Lucy did not know if she had ever seen this kitten around, but decided that she couldn't be dangerous due to her small size. Someone like Inuyasha could be considered dangerous since he brandishes a katana... or whatever his weapon is. Lucy didn't really find people intimidating though, she didn't like to feel afraid or feel like she was in any type of danger. Windclan was meant to be her home right? A safe place where she wouldn't get hurt... hopefully. So far Lucy has never been afraid except for whenever Phil attacked and when Inuyasha sort of threatened her, but that was in the past, so why worry about it now? Hopefully this kitten wasn't afraid of Lucy, they didn't really have an age gap and Lucy wasn't at all dangerous. Well, Inuyasha said that she could use her telepathy in other ways to hurt him but the cub didn't know what he was talking about. She had seen a similar way of speech conveyed when someone was afraid, so she hoped that she didn't scare Hospitalkit. It was hard to convey fear, or any kind of emotion, when speaking telepathically. The concept of making you speech like that confused Lucy, as did many other things. Was it some form of defense mechanism? Perhaps Lucy should ask later, whenever they were well enough acquainted.

[fancypost bgcolor=; border: 0px solid #000000; width: 400px;][justify]Lucy did not know what a pet was, but she guessed it meant something along the lines of 'food'. She would never think of eating such a defenseless rodent such as the one she gave food to out of empathy. She knew what it was like to be hungry, so why not help out? The cub looked at Praguespring and shook her head. 'No. Not a pet.' Perhaps she should ask what a pet was later, whatever a pet even was. Lucy looked over at Hospitalkit and widened her eyes. When did Kate get children? She still did not understand anything about birthing and the gift of life, so she decided to keep quiet about it. Though, she managed to understand the young kids question. 'I guess. It could if it wanted to.' Lucy hoped it wasn't in danger from the gathering crowd of Windclanners. She did not see why it would not have a right to live here, because other rodents lived here as well. 'My name is Lucy. Nice to meet you. Hospitalkit.' Lucy figured if her mother was Kate, then she wasn't bad at all. The cub turned to Cosmicknight and tilted her head. Why shouldn't she feed the mouse? Lucy had a small stock of fruit in her cabin that she found from wandering around the territory, so why not share it? 'I felt bad. It was hungry.' She felt bad a lot of things, actually. That was a big reason on why she did not like to hunt. Lucy felt bad whenever the animals would cry out in pain when she snagged a wing. Her claws were too dull to hunt, anyway. All things had a right to live, and Lucy would feel absolutely terrible if she just looked the other way when a living, breathing being was left to fend for itself and starve. The cub looked back down at the mouse and then to her three clanmates in front of her.

roses are blue, my beret is red, fine by me, my wife is deadahh i love booneLucy was curious about the growing crowd so she padded over and stood next to Wraithstatic. There were a lot of new joiners, but they all seemed to be unique. Lucy scrutinized Boone with dull, green eyes and offered a small smile. She didn't know if it would be right to introduce herself when the stranger hadn't said anything yet, so Lucy was deciding what to do. Saying her name wouldn't be bad, right? 'Hello. My name is Lucy.' The cub stayed still as she telepathically spoke, hoping it actually reached everyone in the area. It made her feel secretive if the communication was to only one person.

[fancypost bgcolor=; border: 0px solid #000000; width: 400px;][justify]Lucy wandered over curiously and looked at Neptuneblue with curious, green optics. She wasn't sure what a demon was to be honest. It sounded kind of ominous. The only supernatural things she knew where ghosts, and that was about it. Ghosts were scary enough. The cub stood next to Praguespring and let out a silent huff before deciding to communicate. 'Hello. I am Lucy. Welcome.' Though, she figured the joiner had heard enough greetings for now. It was too late to take it back, though. Perhaps Lucy should ask Inuyasha what a demon was later. Hopefully it wasn't anything bad. Perhaps it was some sort of compliment that only a select few, like Inuyasha and Neptuneblue, would understand? Oh well, Lucy figured it would be useless to rack her brain with questions at this moment in time. Thinking about something that was confusing would only confuse the cub further because there was nothing she understood about the matter at hand. No one else seemed to have a problem with him really, so Lucy decided to just stow the questions away for later.
