"Where am I?"

His memories started and ended here, in this strange land. The small kitten, barely old enough to be moving around, let out a hacking cough. All of these strange forest scents were threatening to overwhelm him, and yet there was a feeling of familiarity. "Have I always been here? Is there anyone else around?" His tiny paw's churned and hazel eyes opened and quickly closed with a disgruntled groan.

It was here that hopefully, someone would find the poor nameless kit.

The nameless one's head jolted up at the sound. Who was that? Was it his mother, coming back for him. "I knew you didn't disappear mama!" He cried in his head as he tried to scoot himself blindly towards the scent. "Mama?" He squeaked out, trying to open his eyes to see the kind creature's face.

The nameless kit flattened his ears at the question, and he shrunk back down to the ground. "Daddy said I couldn't have a name until I e...e..earned it." He answered, tripping up on a few of the words as he curled his tail over himself. "Have you seen daddy, mama? Daddy told me to stay here like a g..game!"

OOC: No way, that's a perfect name!

IC: His father's opinion wasn't what? The kitten flattened her ears at the harsh word. "Is daddy not going to be around anymore, mama?" He asked. His voice sounded so full of hope. His birth father wasn't the kindest of cats, and he always liked being near his mother anyway. The dark tabby purred and let himself be pulled by the much larger paw.

"You really mean it?" He sounded like he would have exploded with joy. He had a name, an identity! Now he could tackle the world and make his place within it. As soon as he got a hold of saying his name. "Is..Isamu?"

It had been a week or so since he had been taken in by his 'mother'. In that week, Isamu had grown up enough to survive his own in a camp setting. His eyes were now open to reveal heavenly hazel eyes, and his legs weren't wobbly pieces of noodle now. "I hope ShadowClan likes me." The tabby thought nervously. He barely ventured out of the nest while he rested from his adventure. The only things he knew of ShadowClan were the things his mother had taught him.

But he knew in his bones he was ready. He was ShadowClan.

Placing one dark paw in front of the other, he was blinded for a moment by the harsh rays of the sun. "Ahh! I'm blind!" He squeaked in terror as his legs buckled underneath him. "Ouch." He blinked a few times, looking at his large paws as he sheepishly looked back up. "O-Or I'm not blind." He got back onto his paws and steadily stalked his way farther from the Nursery. "H-Hello? Is anyone there?"

Isamu turned to face the strange ShadowClanner, flattening his ears when he noticed just how big everything was in comparison to him. "H-Hello." The dark tabby stuttered out. He could feel his heart sinking a little. "Maybe I wasn't ready for this." He thought to himself. "I should have let mother show me around. She knows this place better than I do." Where was Kagura, anyway?

"W-Who..Who are you?" He asked shyly to Chemical. "I-I mean, if you w-want to tell me, t-that is. I haven't been o-out of the Nursery s-since m-mama t-took me back h-here." His hazel gaze went straight towards his paws, and he could feel his fur bristling in every which direction. He wanted to run back to the Nursery at this point. He prepared to lift one of his paws to exit when a toy caught his attention instead. It looked like one of the mice from the fresh-kill pile. Spooked by it's sudden appearance, he crouched down to the ground. "Why isn't it moving?"

Isamu was too young to know about the birds, the bees, and how or why someone wassupposed to have kits. But he knew about pain and that was what attracted the one moon old kit towards the strangers. Well, not strangers, they were his Clanmates, but he didn't know any of them at all. "W-What's going on? I-Is someone hurt?" He squeaked, some worry in his tone as he crouched to the ground.

Isamu wasn't supposed to be outside of camp, but that didn't stop the little tabby. He had wanted to try and find his father. Kagura may have told him that his father wasn't to be around anymore, but he couldn't stop thinking he may be out there. So when he hid in the bushes, looking around for a sign of danger, he didn't expect to find a lot of ShadowClanners and a very strange cat. The kitten gave a squeak and popped out of the bush, looking at the experiment with a measure of fear and curiosity.

    "..W-What are you doing?"

The small squeak came from the exploring kitten, Isamu. Whatever scent the stranger bore, it didn't seem very friendly. The kit's fur bristled as he stepped from the shadows he was beginning to call home, and he watched Jyoti, hoping that someone else would come along and take care of the WindClanner. "Y-You smell funny. I don't t-think you're supposed to be here."

Lord of the what? This attracted the small kitten over more so than the strange scent. Isamu had heard the stories of kings, queens, dragons, dwarves, strange magic and princesses. Was this 'lord' one of those tales? Was he a king too? "H-Hello." The brown tabby said as he stopped next to Setekh, his hazel eyes almost glued to the stranger. "W-Welcome. I-I'm Isamu." That last word came out as a sort of chirp as he tried to keep his anxiety inside. "I-If you don't mind me asking, how do you s-say your name? I h-heard it but I don't un-understand it."

Isamu looked up at Baterkit, shrinking back down to the floor just as quickly. He felt like a knot of nerves, wriggling and wanting to escape from the situation by almost any means necessary. Yet, if he left, he'd never start being brave. Why would he be named after bravery if he couldn't live up to it? "H-Hi." The kitten said softly as he got himself off of the ground. "I-I'm Isamu. And whats a cookie?" He asked, wrinkling his nose at the sweet smell for a moment.

Isamu never knew what it was like to have siblings, or really anyone around his age group. The tabby was only a moon old and already lonliness was settling into his bones. But when he caught the scent of milk and investigated, his hazel eyes caught alight with a fiery emotion. What it was, he didn't know, but a burning curiosity was in his blood now. "Pups! Are they gonna be new Sh-ShadowClanners?" The tabby tom asked as he steadily stepped in. Thatt's when he noticed the scent of death. "What...What's wrong? Why..Why aren't come of them moving?"

Isamu had never tried any food that wasn't the milk that gave him strength and helped him grow. So when he found plates, platters, and bowls of food, he couldn't help but shake a little. The tiny kit sat down at the nearest place, sniffing at the multicoloured food curiously. "They look really good!" He grinned, and he began to take his first bite of the rainbow coloured ice cream he found.

    "I-I..I'm here!"

Isamu was near the border, his bright hazel eyes looking at the stranger. He tried to swallow his fear to not much success. "N-Na..Name and business? I-I think thats what you're supposed to say, r-r-right?"
