The bandana-covered guinea nyari checked the borders more often than not, perhaps out of a building paranoia than anything else. The stranger on the border today immediately caught her attention, and put her guard up, but she took a friendly approach like she usually did and waved her tail in greeting. "Hi there!" Halting a few paces away, she got a much better look at the stranger and their colorful appearance. "What brings you to the Arcane? My name's Regina, by the way."

Regina didn't have dreams to speak of besides her rather repetitive, vivid memories that felt like nightmares in the middle of the night. Seldom did she dwell on them though, and surprisingly, she hadn't had anymore dreams for a couple moons at least. Even the confrontation in the plaza began to dissolve into a past paranoia. Coming into camp after participating in a border patrol, she found herself pausing after overhearing a couple of npcs said something about Cyrus' absence on a morning patrol. Concern beginning to flare up, she headed straight for Cyrus' den to see if he was there. Naturally, her mind went to some of the darker scenarios should he not be in his den. "Cyrus? You in there?" She didn't want to just barge in, but a small part of her kind of wanted to in case something was up. Was he ok? Peering into the den but not setting paw inside, she thought she could see him amongst his blankets.

Cyrus didn't look like himself whatsoever. It looked like it was a struggle for him just trying to sit up. Him not feeling too well felt like somewhat of an understatement. "I can go get Ama..Or bring herbs to you, whichever you prefer." She didn't like seeing him like this, but she was no Crow. The herbs she did know were few and far in between. Sniffing the air, she wrinkled her nose, expecting to smell sickness tainting the air. He was in his den and not out in the territory pushing himself, or running into trouble, but he certainly didn't look ok. "I can get you a few more blankets if you want, or water..?"

Nodding to Cyrus before starting, Regina carefully shifted her forepaws back and forth whilst keeping her eyes on Memorypaw. Flicking an ear, she motioned for her apprentice to start the spar. How he chose to make the first move, and if he would be successful, would certainly be taken into account for their future training sessions. The more practice Memorypaw could get in, the better. Personally, she was excited about it. "Begin when you're ready, Memorypaw."

Having just woken up, Regina could smell nothing for a moment besides a sharp, clean scent that forced her skin to crawl. But within a few seconds it faded, as did the hazy memory that she'd seen too many times over before waking up in her home. Scrambling to her paws, she nudged her blankets this way and that on her way out of the den. Her ears angled forward and her tail tip twitched the same time a young fireferra raced by with an obnoxiously loud purr and look of mock terror in his eyes. Blinking, she hauled herself the rest of the way out of her den and spotted Cyrus, who looked a bit lost amidst the game the younger Arcanists were playing. Hopefully he wasn't pushing himself considering the cold he had.

Regina wasn't out hunting or doing a border patrol. If anybody asked her what she was doing, she wouldn't have an answer. She felt aimless today, lost in thought and failing to convince herself that the incident in the plaza wouldn't be a problem later. It bothered her and scared her. She didn't understand it, yet her heart plummeted every time she thought about it. Walking along the coast with her ears swiveling this way and that, she caught sight of the strange basket and tilted her head. Then she saw Memorypaw approaching the odd basket and her claws unsheathed. Who had left the basket? The tasty smell didn't begin to outweigh her growing paranoia. "Memorypaw, did you see anybody drop off that basket?" She asked, padding over to him and twitching her nose. She didn't want him to get too close to the basket, especially since it didn't have any particular scent from another group or a note saying what its purpose was.

Regina really did like having Memorypaw as an apprentice, and she was glad to be getting back into the gist of training him. "It's a pleasure to be able to teach him." She said. Her ears angled sideways at hearing about Toxicpaw since she hadn't seen him for a long while herself. "I never had an apprentice either before I got Memorypaw, and I didn't actually start to be a mentor until recently. Toxicpaw may show up again at some point, and when he does, you could set up a training session with him then." With that said, an idea came to mind. "Maybe you and Toxicpaw could do a training session with Memorypaw and I if the chance presents itself."

"We can go..." She paused, shuffling her forepaws and looking at their surroundings. "We can start just outside of camp. First, we can get a couple of mini snow dens made up, then we can see who gets the most hits in." It was good to get training in, but she felt that having some fun every now and again was even better to keep them in happy spirits. Waving her tail to Memorypaw, she then started heading out through the camp entrance and waited for him to follow.

Regina couldn't help herself as she stifled a purr. She backed off to allow Memorypaw to get back up before formulating what she needed to instruct him on. "Not a bad first try. Remember to consider when I might end up changing the direction of my attack. Leap back of you have to in order to avoid my attack if you aren't sure what I'll do next. And if I pin you, or any opponent for that matter, try kicking at the underbelly or going limp for a few seconds if you can. Either one of those things has a chance of letting you escape a situation where you're pinned to the ground."

Shifting her body forward, Regina glanced at Cyrus' paw. "Sure!" She said, reaching out her forepaw to tap his and officially make herself it in this game of tag. Besides that, Cyrus needed to rest to get the sickness out of his system, not run around with cubs and kits that had seemingly endless energy when it came to games. "You can watch me chase them in circles for a few hours until I tire one of them out enough to tag them."

Glancing once more at the basket, she angled one ear forward, then the other. It was just a basket from the looks of it, but the fact remained that they didn't know where it came from or what was inside. If she had to guess, Memorypaw probablywanted to try whatever goods might be inside instead of inspecting the basket first. "Well, come on then. Let's see what's in the basket." And maybe find out who brought it. She took small steps over to the basket and pawed at the ribbon in particular a few times over.

"Of course! It can be a free-for-all, there can be teams, whatever works out best. Either way, snow will be flying." Regina sprang forward once they were out of camp, her mind thinking up a rather basic snowy hiding place rather than a massive fort or a bunch of walls. A few holes in the snow or in mounds of snow would do. "Prepare your defenses, Memorypaw!" She said, leaving his side and scuttling over to a nearby tree with a pale purple glow to it. The first thing she started doing was making a couple of initials holes in the deeper areas of snow.

"Going limp might convince your opponent that that they've won and you've given up the fight. If they think they have you, then they'll likely loosen their grip or else relax to the point where you can seize the opportunity to get them off of you or wriggle out from under them." Regina knew that the tactic didn't always work, but it was something that could be worth a shot if nothing else helped in the given circumstance. Standing a few paces away from him, she shook snow from her paws and reluctantly took off her seaglass necklace and bandana that she wore around her neck. The burn that encircled her neck wasn't more than scarring now. "Another thing that I want to point out is things like what I wear all the time. Any accessories, anything that someone is wearing around their neck, legs, paws, or on their heads, can be used against them in a fight. All you would have to do is grab that accessory and give it a good tug or swing. You could trip them up, or in the case of a hat or something on the head, bring it down over their eyes so they can't see for a few seconds." Bringing up the idea of using necklaces and the like to choke someone wasn't something she wanted to encourage unless absolutely necessary.

Regina shoved snow into an untidy mound that wasn't all that high in comparison to her own height. The holes she made in the back and the front were small and threatened to collapse the whole snow mound when she did a run through it the first time. Then again, she could just use it for snowball storage and emergency runs should it come to that. Taking a glance at Memorypaw, she then burrowed into the snow around the tree. She still hadn't made a single snowball, and her makeshift tunnels and holes were hardly reliable.

Regina didn't ever want to see Memorypaw in such a potentially dangerous situation, especially considering he was her apprentice, but she knew there would come a time when defending himself would be necessary. And sometimes, his clanmates wouldn't be there to help. Yikes. She was letting one too many dark possibilities get to her head. As willing as she was to take off the bandana around her neck, she wasn't keen to take off the rest of her bandanas. "This time, when I come at you, and whether you're successful or not in avoiding me, I want you to try using my bandanas to trip me up, or even just cause me to stumble."

The first few snowballs she created were really just solid little chunks of wet snow. She didn't take the time to smooth them out until she got done with a fourth snowball. If she ever created another fireball, she could likely get her aim right. But she also didn't have to exactly throw a ball of fire. A snowball however, required precision and accuracy to an extent, both of which she safely assumed she lacked. She didn't know how good Memorypaw was at this, but that would be found out soon enough. In the meantime, she rolled one of her snowballs down into a makeshift tunnel and prepared to launch the first attack.

Directly to the right of the main glowing tree at the camp's center was a dark blue and purple blanket partially soaked by snow underneath it. Regina had some empty gift baskets set up on the blanket as well various trinkets, decorations, and treats that Arcanists could add to the basket should they choose to. "If anybody wants to put together and take a gift basket to an ally, come on and over!" She had a list by her side, a list of their current allies that she'd written up in the journal Harley had given her. She quite liked it despite this being her first time using it. She would take care of the gift basket to ThunderClan, and any other allies that didn't end up getting taken.
