To tell the truth, Regina was shocked Midna actually answered her question. And the answer wasn't half bad, if not thought-provoking. She wasn't very familiar with Alurian history, much to her own disappointment, but to hear the snowferra talk about Aluria in such a way was nice. Sad, too. She hadn't been talking about metaphorically, but she smiled because her curiosity had been quelled. The big question had been, anyway. The other questions could be put to rest, because otherwise it wouldn't be too difficult to bombard Midna with a bunch of them and possibly overwhelm her. "You answered that perfectly." Pretty abstract was an excellent description of whatever lay in her past. One massive blur of meaningless, cold images that lacked any sort of clarity. "No. It gets darker, but brighter too. The lights are always so bright when it starts, and then it's dark, pitch black, against that white. It reminds me of a tundra at night."

Charries name and alliance: Regina, the Arcane
What do you want Broken to do to your Charrie? Technically capture (though she is still in the Exiles after being captured by another Exiler, so Broken would be recapturing her) and torture
any particular injuries? Basically anything except for limb loss (no maiming) and death
private or open thread? Open, though it honestly doesn't matter to me which
charries species: (just so I know what Broken is dealing with) Guinea nyari -

Regina didn't realize she was snarling until it happened. She glared at her leader, maybe her leader, she wasn't so sure anymore, and felt her fur bristling. "That wasn't a fair trail! I'm sorry, but that was no better than asking questions of them both. I daresay in this world, many things can be manipulated, including those keyblades. Determining which is real and which is not based on that is a bunch of nonsense." She didn't take her eyes off of Twilight, lashing her tail and barely preventing herself from blurting out every word that came to mind. She didn't know which one was real, but she firmly believed that this wasn't fair and that it proved nothing. "And what happens if you, not everyone else but you, since you ran that trail, are allowing Vanitas, not the real Venta, to stay? Or is that ok with you that you just might be letting a threat in to the Arcane openly?"

To nearly escape, only to be captured and kept here in the Exiles, was infuriating. Underneath that, terrifying. The burns still stung her and weakened her, having been inflicted in the last day or so, perhaps less. Regina bared her teeth, trying to summon enough energy to land a strike in at the Exiler. But after sucking in a deep breath, she lost her air, feeling a glaring ache go through her back. She ignored the tiny audience, ignored the pain as best she could while she could, and hissed. "Get off!"

I can't stop laughing now! XDTrack~

This wasn't like the burns. This was very different, yet just as painful. Regina scrabbled at the ground, writhing and trying to twist herself around to sink her teeth into the Exiler, anything would do. The next thing she knew though, her flank was being ripped open. Blood ran fast from the wound and she could feel the cold warmth of it dribbling through her fur. Her eyes watered at the edges, but she gritted her teeth and continued struggling to free herself. Screeching would hurt too much. Something, say something, ramble, there had to be something she could do.

*Pushes Regina forward*

The knife in the back did make her go limp, the agony firing through far worse than what she would've thought possible. And she screeched, digging her claws into the ground and shuddering. "G-got nothing better to d-do?" Her teeth wouldn't stop chittering, grinding together and holding back a groan. Her limbs twitched and ached to slash into the one attacking her, but it wasn't happening anymore. It was like she couldn't react properly anymore, too blinded by the blood and her own fear actually hitting her. "You Exilers n-never seem to h-have anything better to do."
-
A loud scream came out seconds after she processed what just happened. More agony drilled into her head, agony that wouldn't go away with any amount of willpower. Regina lost her breath, gasping and shaking violently from the shock. What did it look like? How much blood was coming from it? Her fur felt sticky and wet, and feeling her own blood pooling on the ground around her didn't do her mind much good either. Attempting to turn despite the pain, she aimed to claw at the Exiler's face or foreleg, maybe knock the knife away.
-
Regina shook her head, digging her claws in and curling them. She couldn't agree with Ash about the questions. Questions were no different than those keyblades in testing them out. Vanitas would have powers, just like many in this world, and those powers could be ill-willed easily. "Why are you so desperate to be proven right? You won't even accept that you just might be wrong in your judgement." She snapped, looking at Twilight and finding any trust she might've had for her leader melting by the second.

Regina hadn't seen lions before up close, but she didn't feel daunted by them yet. Her size, in her mind, would be useful. How this was supposed to go though, she didn't know for sure. What exactly was the plan here to help the Skaians? Were they all just going to outright fight these lions to get the territory back, or was there going to be more to it?
-
Being pinned to the ground, she had no way of dodging it or seeing it coming. Regina went still after the blow to her head, the last bit of retaliation leaving. Blackness overwhelmed her vision for a few seconds before she came to, but the desire to fight back had drained with the pain numbing everything. "I guess you assumed wrong."

Burning, so much burning. That was what the last Exiler had done, but not like this. This was all at once, and as excruciating as it was, and in the process feeling awful twisting sensations in her back, she dodged some of the boiling tar by twisting away from it. If she wasn't so small, no doubt the damage would've been even worse than it already was. Kicking out her hind legs and screeching, she flailed wildly at the flashing pain all over, the boiling tar burning and eating away at her fur and skin in various places.
-
No response from her, not like this. Regina had lost every thought while she sank deep into another place, begging something to take her out of this. Her shaking worsened and so did the agony as another knife went into her side. The fact that it was flaming didn't register because of the other fresh burns her mind couldn't wrap itself around. There was no more fighting back, she was too weak to try, and too dazed by what was being done to her.

A dim flicker of determination and desperation to escape got dashed the second she attempted to get up. Her legs gave out on her, and on top of that, she nearly lost consciousness. Then the Exiler mentioned her own group, the Arcane, and she snarled. As much as she willed herself to give the Exiler a good kick in the jaws and run, she couldn't as she was dragged off.
/ Do you want me to make a thread in the Arcane where Broken is bringing Regina back?
-
/ Alright, thanks~

Regina wheezed but didn't do much beyond shifting her mangled and burned forepaw. All of her paws were burned. No escape had occurred, she'd been dragged back about halfway and left there. Blood and tar stuck to her fur everywhere. The amount of burns and the degree of numb pain they brought was unreal to her now. A ring was burned all the way around her throat, and another burn was on her forehead. Her fur was either singed off in most places or covered in black tar that had burned away at her fur and flesh. The shivering and shaking from the shock wouldn't stop, either. The blood came from gashes and stab wounds. In her right flank there was a deep gash and a burned stab wound. Her back had been torn up cleanly down the center from a knife. Her head hurt from getting a couple of blows to it, but that didn't begin to surmount the agony of the burns and places where the knife had gone through. Some time during being dragged back here, she'd lost consciousness, and maybe it was adrenaline or desperation, but now she was pulling herself back into the Arcane. She didn't get very far, maybe a few more steps within the borders, before collapsing. One labored breath after another, then she tried to get back up. Just two half-steps forward, and she fell down again.

"That proved nothing to me. Evidence, items, minds, they all can be manipulated." Regina said, her voice turning hot and brittle. Just as questions or answers could be manipulated. Her tail lashed as she looked at both Venta and Vanitas, whichever was the right one, then back to Twilight. How could this be ok? Had they settled in such a manner between Twilight and Gannon with none sense questions and such too? She didn't even have it in her to apologize for showing such open disregard toward her leader and toward the decision made.
