life's a dance you learn as you go"Earlier, she looked a little bit... disoriented and maybe tired. I just thought she had a headache or something," Çelina explained quickly, her eyes remaining focused on Vang. Thank goodness Lottie was here. Surely, she would know what was wrong and could fix it. "But now..." she trailed off. Should she have let someone know? The femme had just assumed it was something small.

life's a dance you learn as you go"Just be careful. You'll know when you're overexerting yourself." It was true that it was almost impossible to rest for long in BlizzardClan. It seemed as if something was always going on. And, with that, Çelina offered her a small wave of farewell, hoping they'd have the chance to talk again soon. "See you around! And, I wish you luck trying to find friends. Consider me one."

life's a dance you learn as you goÇelina made her way into the water, a little less gracefully than the husky. But, she didn't care. This lake was one of the few places she felt she could be herself and free of responsibility, even if just for a few hours. And, it helped that the cold water cooled her long fur. Surely, Scout being here would only make things better. "I agree. We should just relax," she said, already growing fatigued as she tread water.

life's a dance you learn as you goÇelina, sensing her sadness, decided to move on. There was no point being upset about the past, especially if it was impossible to recover anything about who the lioness was previous to her coming across BlizzardClan. "That's great news! This is a friendly place, but if you ever need someone to talk to, you know who to find," she said, glancing at Scout. "So, where to first?"

life's a dance you learn as you goÇelina narrowed her eyes as Scout went under. Sounds good, hmm? Watching for his form under the water, the femme quickly lost track of the husky. What was he up to? It couldn't be anything good, she thought with a smile. Next thing she knew, something - she didn't have to wonder what - had grappled her leg. With a yelp, the wild dog was also under the water, meeting the smiling face of none other than Scout. Pushing him gently with her paws, she swam back up to the surface of the lake. When she finally broke the surface and took a few deep breaths, she laughed. "I didn't know there was a shark in this water!"

life's a dance you learn as you goÇelina, of course, was aware of the pup's presence on the medic den. Lottie seemed to take such good care of her, and so, the femme had left that to the white panther. But, watching, as the border collie stumbled around on newfound paws, she couldn't help the smile that crept onto her maw. She was absolutely adorable. It was quite upsetting what had happened to her, but at least she had Lottie. "Now that she can get around, you'll have to keep an extra eye on her!" she joked, looking on as the pup attacked the mossball Bo had brought her.

life's a dance you learn as you goNatural? Çelina wasn't so sure as she approached, her gray eyes scanning the newcomer in concern. Maybe... maybe he was just really clumsy? But, the femme wouldn't judge. Instead, she offered him a friendly smile. "It's nice to meet you, Grotesque! I'm Çelina and, like Eggpaw said, feel free to stop by the medic den if you need anything." Including more bandages. The wild dog also had a roll with her, but figured what Eggpaw had provided to be enough.

life's a dance you learn as you goÇelina couldn't keep her eyes open much longer. Putting away the herbs she'd been sorting, the wild dog exited the medic hut with a tired yawn, dreading the long walk to her own den. Perhaps a friend could lend her an extra room for the night. If not, she'd probably end up falling asleep in the forest between her home and camp, which didn't sound too bad.
The femme was able to smell the smoke before she eventually saw dark wisps of it trailing through the air. Her first thought was that someone - or a few someones - had gotten up for a late-night smoke. But, cigarette smoke wasn't this thick, nor was there this much of it. Hoping with every fiber of her being that it was something contained, like a bonfire, Çelina walked quickly toward the source of the smoke, her drowsiness forgotten.
As she neared the area, it became clear that this had been a hut that had caught ablaze. She quickened her pace, telling herself that her clanmates must've contained it by now. After all, she would be far from the first to arrive on scene. She could already hear voices, coughing, and, most unsettling, yelling. Then, Çelina was there, gently nudging her way through the crowd, wishing for everyone to have come out okay. Of course, this wasn't the case as she laid her eyes on the burned form of Jacob, unable to keep herself from gasping at the poor pup. What could possibly have happened? Would he be alright? For a moment, the canine was frozen in shock. Until she heard her name.
Looking up at her mentor, Çelina nodded. "Here," she said, simply, her voice calm and the opposite of how she felt inside. But, was there really a point to her being here? She didn't have a clue how to help. Identifying marigold as one of the herbs Lottie was using, the femme reached into her own bag to remove a pouch of the yellow herb, she placed it beside the white panther. "Is there anything else you need?" Çelina didn't have a lot. Maybe more bandages? Those she had. Much of anything else, and she would have to make a run back to the medic den. - sometimes you lead, sometimes you follow

life's a dance you learn as you goIt would be an understatement to say Çelina was stessed. She didn't very much show it, but it was there. The femme had went from relatively easygoing days of doing nothing in particular to always having some sort of task to perform. Whether that be studying, sorting, or actually putting into practice all that Lottie had taught her. Sometimes, she thought it to be entirely too much, but it was what she wanted and where she felt she'd be the most use to her Clan. Still, the sight of a smiling Pierce along with a platter of cookies he'd apparently frosted was an excellent pick-me-up. "Yes, these are beautiful!" she barked, eyes scanning the messages upon each cookie. She shouldn't be surprised. Decorating cookies was almost like painting, and Pierce was a fantastic artist. "Thank you," she said, taking one that read 'you're doing a great job!'. Even though it wasn't personally directed at her, it lifted the canine's spirits, even more so after she had taken a bite of the delicious dessert.

life's a dance you learn as you go//Well, I'm at 1000 and need to do something special, but I'm too L A Z Y rip... congrats, though! It's so fun to roleplay with you!
"Oh, is that so?" she said, gently shoving him in return. After squinting her eyes for a few moments, she laughed again. "You know, I think I see it now! There might as well be a dorsal fin on your back, you swim as well." Even Çelina avoided going under the water most of the time, as she always grew nervous of whether she'd be able to hold her breath, but Scout swam like it was his job. Another thing she hadn't known about him. The subject of half-marine animals reminded her of... Coralpaw, had it been? She had been some sort of aquatic feline. These thoughts led her to her next question. "What would the pups of a half-shark half-husky look like?" she mused aloud. The femme imagined miniature Scouts with gills and shark tails and couldn't help but laugh once again. She had always admired hybrids. There was something special about her clanmates like Mack. She felt very plain compared to her friend's beautiful feathers. - sometimes you lead, sometimes you follow

Sometimes, you find yourself in the middle of nowhere, and sometimes, in the middle of nowhere, you find yourself.
She couldn't remember ever being this cold before. Well, she couldn't remember much. Other than the fact that the warm bodies surrounding her in this cramped space somehow were important to her, however annoying. They wouldn't stop squirming, and, as a tail made its way into her field of view, she reached out to bite it, hoping to teach its owner a lesson. But, really, those around her were all she'd ever known. Them, and some presence she couldn't recall in detail. She just remembered warmth, a soft voice, and milk. Thinking this, her stomach growled. Great. Now, she was hungry, irritated, and freezing. This was all about to change, though, in a matter of minutes.
The arctic wolf pup began to shiver. The thick fur that would soon grow to protect her from such temperatures hadn't yet. She howled, a high pitched noise that hurt even her own ears. The young femme howled on until she felt a pelt brush her own. Thinking this was one of her brothers shoving her in an attempt to get her to shut up - she probably would have done the same if it was one of them - she pushed him away. Just as quickly as she had, he was back, snuggling against her and sharing what little body heat they had between them. The canine gave up, thinking that, if this was what he wanted, then so be it. Little did she know that this sibling would become her best friend.
The newfound warmness of her brother made her drowsy and, just as her eyelids started to close, she heard it. The voice she would never forget, singing the song she would always remember. And, as a shadow passed over the basket the pups were squished into, all of the uncomfortable feelings vanished, replaced by an overwhelming sense of calm.
Çelina hummed to herself as she pressed on through the snow, biting her tongue in an unsuccessful attempt to keep her teeth from chattering. So, maybe this body wasn't perfect, but she didn't have time to change back and forth every time she wanted to venture into BlizzardClan's old territory. This would be quick, though. The wild dog had only wanted some time to relax, then she'd be back to the warmth of the medic den. Problem was, she was starting to lose track of which way she had come. She looked back, only to see the steady snowflakes that rained down cover any tracks she had made. The femme was well and truly lost.
The chill pierced her to the bone, but she couldn't stop. She had to keep going. The tree trunk before her, fresh with claw marks, was her target. Tear marks, also fresh, darkened her cheeks and only made the cold that touched her face worse. She had to learn to fight. For not only herself, but Storm. Now that Moongleam was gone, that's all she could do.
But why? Her brother was already moons ahead of her when it came to training. Surely he could protect himself. But, she couldn't stand around, being totally useless either. Luckily, even though it was on such short notice, Çelina had found herself a mentor. Padmé had shown her a few things before leaving the arctic wolf to practice. It was more difficult than it looked, especially without a real opponent.
With a growl, the femme lashed out once more, scoring the bark with her aching claws. But she didn't care. This was what she needed. To toughen up, stop chasing butterflies, drawing in the dirt, picking flowers, stop thinking everything was happy thoughts and rainbows when it wasn't. Her mother was dead, taken from her just like that. And, even though her clanmates apologized and offered her other kind words, really, the rest of the world hadn't batted an eye. It was a cruel place, she was learning. She had to grow and become even harsher than that if she were to survive along with her brother.
With one final swipe, Çelina realized she needed to stop. The claws on her right paw had been so strained that they were now bleeding, dripping red into the white snow. The canine's gray eyes scanned the torn tree bark and she found herself wondering how she'd ever manage to the same to another living creature. But, she had to. She'd grow up eventually, and learn to provide for her Clan. Hopefully, before Storm was next to die. With a sigh, she turned from her target, in the direction of the stairs and her home. But, as she put pressure on her bad paw, she found the pain too great and, next thing she knew, her leg had given out under her and she was face first in the snow. The femme didn't bother getting up. She only laid there, licking the blood from her between her claws and crying softly.
Çelina obviously hadn't seen the fallen tree branch hidden beneath the snow, which is why she had tripped, letting out a surprised bark, and now felt the cold snow on her face. It took her a moment to rise to her paws, shaking off what she could while looking around. It appeared she'd made her way into a forest of leafless trees, of which she couldn't remember passing on her way out here. That meant she was even more lost than before. Gazing even further into the distance, she couldn't even see the floating islands anymore. "Well, then," she said to herself, a frown making its way into her maw. She'd just have to keep wandering. Eventually, she'd find someone or something she recognized. Reaching down to pick up the blue and white-spotted bag she had lost during her fall, she slung it back over her shoulder.
"Oh, Scout, it's beautiful!" she exclaimed, lifting the bag from the table in order to get a better look at it. It was much prettier than her plain khaki one. Opening it to find a pair of pink sunglasses and a sketch of herself, she gasped, further surprised. Didn't her gift of a simple drawing of him seem small now? "This is great. Thank you so much!" Çelina said, looking up at her date. So far, this prom had been an amazing experience, although she couldn't help but think of Frightfur. They'd had a good time at BlizzardClan's masquerade ball, but she was sure that it didn't top this. Looking up at the husky that sat across from her, she knew that this was different. Somehow, more special. Still, she couldn't put her paw on it.
Then, when she realized she'd been staring, the wolf's eyes moved to the cake in between them. "But, you made my gift look bad!" Pushing her present toward him, she heard yells from behind. But, it wasn't until he had thanked her that she turned to see her clanmates fighting. Apparently, she wasn't meant to have a good time.
Çelina jumped as she heard movement from the brambles behind her. Probably just a hare or some other prey animal. Surely, a clanmate wouldn't be sneaking around down here. But, the femme couldn't help but grow more nervous as she walked between the trees, occasionally glancing up for any sign of the floating islands. Maybe eventually, she'd wander into one of the surrounding Clan's territory and be able to ask for directions back. That, or she'd run into a kind loner. But, raising her snout to sniff the air for about the thousandth time, she could smell nothing but the moisture of the snow around her.
As unfamiliar scents flooded her nostrils, Çelina felt her stomach tighten. She'd finally found her way to the ColouredClan border, but she was seriously considering turning back. But, this was all forgotten at the sight of him. His presence was calming, despite his cold appearance. The serval's mechanical legs were almost funny paired with the lollipop that always seemed to hang from his jaws. And, oftentimes, when she found herself unable to sleep, she thought of his southern drawl and found comfort. Was that too much? Probably, so she said nothing of it. They talked about her body change, how each of their Clan's were doing, and other things that friends talk about.
Before she said goodbye, the canine remembered something she'd been meaning to ask him. "I wanted to know - and don't feel pressured to say yes just because I asked, because I can go with Storm or someone else..." she trailed off, realizing she was rambling. "Uh, Fright, BlizzardClan is having this masquerade ball where we can take dates - or friends! And I was wondering maybe, if you weren't busy or anything, you'd come with me?" As she waited for his answer, she felt the butterflies in her stomach return.
As time stretched on, Çelina began to feel queasy. Surely, she wasn't lost for good? Eventually she'd have to run into someone and hope they didn't kill her. Oh, this had been a terrible idea. "Hello!?" she called. "Is anyone out there? I'm lost and could use some help!"
"I don't need your help!" she screamed, nose to nose with the large feline before her that was apparently her brother. "You act as if I set out to make everyone's lives miserable! Maybe I'm the type who needs a little bit of space now and again!" This was not the welcome she'd expected after taking a break from the Clan for a few weeks. "You, most of all, should understand that! I don't need you watching me at every moment of my life! I can make my own decisions. I can take care of myself!" Every word that left her mouth was false, but she couldn't hold back any longer. She'd learned of Frightfur's death, and, even though that was far from Storm's fault, she felt angry, upset, and helpless. This was too much to deal with right now. After a moment of silence, Çelina felt the tears finally begin to flow. "But, you know I love you, too," she finally managed to say, her voice having softened. Unfortunately, by then, her sibling was gone, she couldn't take it back, and their relationship would never go back to being the same as it was before.
Even as tears ran down Çelina's cheeks, she didn't know why she was crying. Yes, she was mixed up now, but she'd find her way back. And, if she didn't, her clanmates would realize she was missing and come and find her. Taking another sniff of her surroundings, she finally picked up a scent she recognized. Trotting in the direction of its source, she eventually located the green of a thyme plant growing between two stones at the base of a tree. It's leaves looked even more delicate than usually and she wondered how it had managed to survive in such harsh conditions. But, even so, the herb wouldn't do her any good right now and there was plenty growing in the greenhouse back home. Still, its tangy scent comforted her.
A branch of Stinging Nettle at her paws, the wild dog did her best to keep her eyes open and she repeated what she struggled to remember out loud. Luckily, it was late enough that Lottie and Eggpaw weren't around, so it wasn't as if she was bothering anyone. "Seeds are eaten to induce vomiting," she said, rolling one of the green seeds under her paw. "The stems are also eaten and fight infection. The leaves heal broken bones when mixed in a poultice with..." she trailed off, wracking her brain in an attempt recall the herb that was slipping her mind. "With..." Growing a bit frustrated, she rested her head on the table along with the herbs, her eyes drooping even further. After a few moments, she perked up, eyes opening wide. "Comfrey! It's comfy!" Then, not even bothering to put the different parts of stinging nettle away, she laid her head down once more, eventually falling asleep.
She needed to rest, to get her bearings. Sitting beside the thyme plant, she took a deep breath, contemplating whether she should give up. It felt as if she'd been wandering for hours and she was tired. But, she knew she couldn't just sit here and wait for someone to happen upon her. The canine would keep going, even if she'd manage to get even more lost in the process.
Çelina didn't know how much longer it was before she eventually saw the familiar shape of the floating islands on the horizon. Just the sight gave her a new energy and she put on a burst of speed in the direction of the stairs. Of course she was back home. Why had she been so worried in the first place? It probably turned out she had been wandering in circles, unaware she was this close to her destination. The femme knew that it was a silly thing to think, but, in the back of her mind, she had feared never seeing her clanmates again. Jersey, Aleksei, Mie, Pierce, Nathan, Peri, Harrison, Jacob, Eggpaw, Lottie, Witchpaw, Molly, Mar, Fadingmoon, Vang, Scout, and, of course, Sweet. Those and much more. Some of them she knew nothing about, but the thought of losing any of them scared her. But, she didn't have to worry much longer, maybe she didn't have to worry at all. She'd just do her best to look after them and to take care of them. And, with that, she decided to head straight for the medic den when she got up to the islands, hoping to squeeze in a bit more studying.
