[fancypost bgcolor=transparent; borderwidth=0px; bordercolor=transparent; width: 325px;]Marius approached quietly, yawning. He plopped down next to his mentor, a frown pulling at his lips. He doubted this would have anything to do with him, so maybe he would just sleep.

[fancypost bgcolor=transparent; borderwidth=0px; bordercolor=transparent; width: 325px;]"This is probably mandatory for me, isn't it?" Marius grumbled, ears pinned back against his skull as he sauntered over. He hadn't seen either of his mentors around much, to be honest, but Allyson seemed to be the more active one. And though his training had yet to officially start, he'd already begun to look into more herbs himself, surprisingly enough. He was determined to show that he could be one hell of a medic - and a great fighter, too.

[fancypost bgcolor=transparent; borderwidth=0px; bordercolor=transparent; width: 325px;]"Jesus, stop shouting already. It's annoying," Marius hissed, flattening his ears against his skull. "And you talk so much. You're like.. a rambling old man." That was rich, coming from the runt - after all, he was probably the king of annoyed rambling. Still, the scrawny child would approached with a bored expression, half-lidded red gaze offered up to Romano. He yawned, whiskers twitching. "Name's Marius." And that was all he would say, because he didn't care if this guy felt welcome or not. Bleh. He wanted to sleep.

[fancypost bgcolor=transparent; borderwidth=0px; bordercolor=transparent; width: 325px;]The runt would wander over, looking even less invested in his current situation than usual, if that was even possible. He'd managed to catch snippets of the ongoing conversation, including what Barron had said; immediately, he wrinkled up his nose. Something about this guy made his demon soul spike up - the whispers in his head grew louder, harder to ignore than usual. His skin prickled. And Barron's voice... it was sickly sweet. The boy had never been good at reading people - unless they were shining douchebags. Great minds think alike, eh?

"What's your problem?" Marius questioned with a huff, not really addressing the specific problem but instead allowing it to be vague. He meant, of course, the fake persona that Barron seems to be putting on. Unless he was completely off, for whatever reason.

[fancypost bgcolor=transparent; borderwidth=0px; bordercolor=transparent; width: 325px;]Ooh - so it seemed that Marius had met his match. Or rather, someone with an equal amount of rage and spite and insults. He wrinkled up his nose in pure distaste the moment Romano turned to address him, and a snarl pulled at his lips. "Maybe you aren't yelling, but your stupid voice is grating at my ears either way," he spat back, face growing warm when the other called him sarcasm.

He scoffed and turned back towards camp as Romano was still talking, tired of this situation already - but it seemed the newcomer was headed in that same direction. Great. The short-statured young boy groaned. "Age doesn't mean anything, asshat. And shut up already! i don't wanna hear your stupid.. s-spanish or... whatever it is."

[fancypost bgcolor=transparent; borderwidth=0px; bordercolor=transparent; width: 325px;]Marius' face twisted up, lips drawn back in a snarl as soon as the words addressed to him left Barron's mouth. He felt his face grow hot in both embarrassment and raw anger. He shoved his face as close to Barron's as he could, red eyes glinting dangerously. "It's not because of your stupid scar," he growled, "It's-" How the hell was he supposed to explain it? It's instinct? The whispers in my head told me so? All of that was dumb. Instead, he simply moved past it. "And I'm not a runt! Shut your face before I do it for you," he practically yelled.

[fancypost bgcolor=transparent; borderwidth=0px; bordercolor=transparent; width: 325px;]"Scary." Marius wasn't one to talk, as he was actually quite intimidated by the Exilers, after what they didn't to Aishima. But that fear didn't show on his face - he glared up at Sparrow with half-lidded Crimson eyes and a bored frown. The kitten-sized medic apprentice would flick his tail and sit down, giving a yawn. His demon half was stirring as his adrenaline pumped, causing his skin to prickle( he wanted to stick his teeth into something. Anything.

[fancypost bgcolor=transparent; borderwidth=0px; bordercolor=transparent; width: 325px;]"I'd like to see you try," Marius spat in Sparrow's direction, his pelt bristling at the words 'little boy.' He nearly lunged, but unfortunately Felix got in his way, and instead he rocked back on his heels. He scoffed. "Oi, that was my opponent!" the runt growled.

[fancypost bgcolor=transparent; borderwidth=0px; bordercolor=transparent; width: 325px;]One advantage of being tiny was the fact that he was closer to the ground. Marius felt the vibrations of Aries' footsteps as he approached, and at the last moment he whirled sround on his paws, narrowly avoiding being yanked by his tail. The boy glared up at Aries - hey, this was the he'd watched Feliks torture!

Marius flexed his paw, conjuring up a knife. Grasping it tightly, he lunged forward, attempting to use his speed and slice at ARIES' side.

[fancypost bgcolor=transparent; borderwidth=0px; bordercolor=transparent; width: 325px;][ yep ! haven't gotten the little jerk captured yet so this should be fun lmao ]

Marius followed Aries with his eyes as the larger creature moved to the left - he acted then, hopping on light paws to the right. Of course, that was the opposite of what he should've done. Aries faked, and before he could scramble out of the way, the canine's fist made connection with his jaw. White light flashed before his eyes, and he was thrown back a good couple of feet, landing hard on his side. Blackish blood dropped from his nose. The small boy gave a gasp and struggled to sit up, determined not to be beaten that easily. But it was no use - he crumpled to the ground, uconscious.

And just when he thought he'd been doing well.

[fancypost bgcolor=transparent; borderwidth=0px; bordercolor=transparent; width: 325px;]Marius awoke as soon as he hit the ground, his piercing crimson glare focused up at Aries. Everything hurt; his head was throbbing, there was blackish blood smeared over his face from his nose, and his jaw felt as if it'd been dislocated. He made a choked noise as a paw was pressed to his throat, and yet he struggled into a sitting position when told.

But Marius wasn't about to be a good little prisoner. He spat at Aries' face, lips drawn back into a snarl. "* off, you stupid Exiler bastard!" You're-" He whirled around to look at Russo. "You. I'm gonna make you apologize for what you did to Aishi!" With that he launched forward, aiming to bite at RUSSO's throat. The runt had allowed his demon half to take over completely at this point.

[fancypost bgcolor=transparent; borderwidth=0px; bordercolor=transparent; width: 325px;]"Whatee you babbling on about now?" Marius growled as he sat up from where he'd been napping in the shade of a nearby tree. Bleary-eyed, he yawned and rubbed at his face with his forepaws. Once he felt awake enough, he glared at Romano with an irritated pout.

[fancypost bgcolor=transparent; borderwidth=0px; bordercolor=transparent; width: 325px;]Marius often went to the cafe after school, simply because it was close by and an easier place for his mom to pick him up than in front of the school. Sometimes, he would snag a few bucks from one of his multitude of older siblings when they weren't looking and get something to snack on when he went. The thirteen-year-old pushed open the glass doors and stepped inside the cozy little cafe without an inkling of hesitance, jumping in line.

Marius certainly wasn't much to look at. Barely four feet tall at the age thirteen, with a wild mop of reddish brown hair and strangely crimson eyes. He wore a baggy t-shirt, baggy jeans and a pair of converse. He was a bag of skin and bones.

The boy crossed his arms with an angry huff, glaring at Romano's back. "Hey grandpa, hurry it up!" he grumbled, clutching his handful of wrinkled dollar bills tighter.

[fancypost bgcolor=transparent; borderwidth=0px; bordercolor=transparent; width: 325px;]Marius scowled at Roma's words, nearly offering him some more scathing words in response, but the man was gone before he got the chance. Instead, Marius gave a pout and stood on his tip-toes in order to place his four dollars on the glass counter. "I'll have a scone," he muttered, glancing to the side only to notice Aishima. Huh.

[fancypost bgcolor=transparent; borderwidth=0px; bordercolor=transparent; width: 325px;]"W-" Marius began to question - but he didn't even have time to get the words out, considering that in the next second there was tomato juice raining down upon him. He hated tomatoes! He snarled, hopping indignantly to his paws. "Who do you think you- mph!" Roma's next tomato didn't exactly land where expected - instead, it ended up nailing Marius in the face, leaving the scrawny child to stumble back. He was now coated in tomato slime and seeds, and stunk of the fruit. Spitting out a wad of tomato, he growled. "W-What the hell was that?! I'm coated!" he whined

[fancypost bgcolor=transparent; borderwidth=0px; bordercolor=transparent; width: 325px;]Marius might've offered some snappy response - if his neck wasn't in Aries' mouth. Instead, he gave a pathetic little squeaking sound and tried to wriggle his way out of the Exiler's grasp. But it was no use. And then suddenly there was searing not pain ripping through his spine, and he felt like he was burning alive, from the inside out. And yet he found himself unable to move, or even scream in pain. His crimson eyes clouded over.

[fancypost bgcolor=transparent; borderwidth=0px; bordercolor=transparent; width: 325px;]Marius was forced to simply watch as he was dragged over to the wall and tethered there, eyes glazed over. As soon as he was left alone, his ears twitched, and he began to re-gain some movement. By the time Aries had begun to talk, the child had managed to struggle up into a half-sitting half-laying position, his forelegs shaking from the effort. A dull pain from the shock reverberated throughout his entire body, and he grit his teeth, glaring at Aries with nothing short of raw hatred and absolute spite.

"Don't talk to me like that..." Marius growled, voice low, head down. Aries' words reminded him of his kithood. Reminded him of his mother, of what she used to say to him. "You're nothing but a useless runt. You'll never amount to anything. Weak. Pathetic." The insults droned on and on in his head. He'd been having a fairly good life in BoneClan; his confidence had increased more than he could've hope, what with his promotion and his progression in training. It was funny how Aries' minute-long hate speech could tear down months of progress just like that. "Don't... TALK TO ME LIKE THAT!" the boy snarled, flinging himself at Aries. The collar yanked him back and tore into his skin, spilling his dark blood all over the floor beneath his paws, but the scrawny young tom didn't care. "You aren't touching anyone else, you fucking BASTARD! You hear me?! I'll RIP YOU TO SHREDS!"

[fancypost bgcolor=transparent; borderwidth=0px; bordercolor=transparent; width: 325px;]"Jesus C- alright, Feliks, keep your pants on, damn it. I'm here," Marius would call, wrinkling up his nose. His youthful voice was muffled by the collection of herbs in his mouth. He'd seen the larger tom enter camp minutes earlier and had raided the herb storage for stuff he'd need. He hadn't been taught very much, but luckily for everyone else he'd been reading up on treatments in his spare time.

Marius circled Feliks once, inspecting the wounds. He would sign and sit down just left of his flank, dropping the herbs. "Alright, stay still and quit whining. One of you gawkers go get him something to eat, something big." Leaving those instructions to the wind, the child would crack open an aloe vera leaf, allowing the clear substance to leak over his paws. He would attempt to rub the aloe vera over Feliks' burn wounds, on both sides. If applied, it would ease the pain of the burns and reduce them over the course of a few days.

The medic assistant would then chew up a poultice of marigold and yarrow, as disgusting as that tasted, and apply it to Feliks' gashes - including the branding. He gave a disgusted grumble, attempting to wrap the burns and cuts both in bandages once everything was applied. Finally, Marius placed a few poppy seeds in front of Feliks. "Take these and go to the medicine den to sleep after you shove some food down your throat. Find me tomorrow morning to redress your wounds - but if you'd rather get an infection and die, be my guest."

[fancypost bgcolor=transparent; borderwidth=0px; bordercolor=transparent; width: 325px;]"I don't care. I'll-" Marius' words bubbled into a cry of pain as a knife dug into his left shoulder, throwing him back. At this point he was coated in his own black blood, the tabby markings on his left side unnoticeable beneath the vital substance. He was growing a bit light-headed from the blood loss, but adrenaline kept him awake. Just as he'd ripped the blade from his shoulder, teeth gritted against the searing pain, another one drove itself into his right paw. He screamed and writhed for a moment before collecting himself and ripping out that knife, too.

The boy was breathing heavily. He looked up, then, and flung both of the knives back at Aries with surprising force. He fell forward, the spikes digging into his neck, but at this point he was so far in shock that it barely felt like a prickle. "Shut up," he snarled, "You've got nothing over me. I'll rip your lungs out of your throat. I don't care!" His demon half crowded his brain, whispering to him, fueling his words.

[fancypost bgcolor=transparent; borderwidth=0px; bordercolor=transparent; width: 325px;]Marius muttered under his breath as he approached, frowning up at Maccready. He was supposed to be there, right? He was a semi-high position after all.
