    -Alrighty!
Ayame repeatedly read the note as she left the classroom. Now, not only did Takeshi run along her mind, but also Seiji. She sighed. What was stopping her from going to the party anyways? She looked up from the note and looked around to see if she could see her friend. Not seeing him, she noted to tell him later. Along the way, she ended up accidentally bumping into a girl. She dropped her notebook and the note, but ended up only grabbing her notebook and missing the note due to the busy hallway. She carried on along the stream of kids to her next class. Along the flood of kids, she swore something had caught her eye. Something that made her heart thump, like she was glad to see whatever it was. Not seeing anything, she tsked to herself for her own misleading thought.

Ayame moped the rest of the day until lunch hit. As the bell rang signaling lunch, she jumped out of her chair like all students had done, took her belongings and hurried.
It didn't take her long to reach the cafeteria, and when she did she was greeted by the whole gang. Approaching the table, Ayame saw that Seiji and Mizuki had sat on either end of the table away from each other. Due to being somewhat late even though she hurried, there was only one spot left at the table. That spot was between Alice and Seiji. Ayame bit her lower lip, seating herself. She smiled and greeted Alice before turning around and chatting with Seiji. Luckily, she didn't have to bring up the note first. "Well?" He asked expecting an answer. From the way he had positioned himself and gave her full attention told Ayame that he was only dying of anxiety to what she had to say. She smiled up at him.
"Sure, I'll go with you." She replied, glancing across the table to see Mizuki laughing at the top of her lungs at probably news. Her attention only went back to Seiji when he began to talk again.
"When do you want me to pick you up then?" He asked. Ayame's eyes widened. Even though she's done this and that, she felt new to this kind of stuff still. She hadn't expected he was picking her up. She bit her lip and shrugged.
"I guess around seven.." Ayame mumbled. Seiji nodded and rose up, supposedly getting his lunch. She would've followed him to get some lunch too, but she wanted to hear what the other end of the table was chatting about. Not only that, but she felt something stir in her stomach around Seiji, like an gut feeling was telling her that she doesn't want to be around him.

Ayame joined into the conversations just as Mizuki spat his name. Her eyes went wide as she looked to see who she addressed it to. She leaned over on the table to see Sota, Mizuki's boyfriend. Behind him was his loyal steeds who followed him around like a pack of dogs 24/7. His "golden boys" were Hiroto and Yuuto. Ayame clenched her teeth. What are they going to do with him?
She hated Sota, all because he goes around and beats people to pulps in this school. Sometimes he even follows Mizuki's orders and trashes people. Sota doesn't have a heart. Whether a girl or boy, he'll strangle you up and go in for the kill. He does it slowly, and lets the venom sink in. To Ayame, he's a pain in her a~~. She wasn't exactly worried about Sota, but she was worried about what Mizuki and him were discussing.
"Takeshi tried to violate me again, Sota! He didn't learn last time!" Mizuki cried. Just a minute before, she was crying from laughter. Now she was crying of lies. Ayame squeezed a fist. Sota's eyes widened in practical murder. This beat Ayame down.
"Yeah, yeah. He'll learn this time." Sota growled as he lifted himself from the seat and stalked out of the cafeteria with his golden dogs.

Ayame felt herself stiffen. Just as Seiji came back with his lunch, she excused herself and hurried off. She ran through the hallways. They keep hurting him, Ayame thought with frustration. She looked in classrooms here and there, searching for Takeshi. I never could get used to that!

Ayame could only feel panic surging through her. She stopped to think of a spot Takeshi would be at. She didn't see him in the cafeteria, she checked almost all the classrooms which were no help.. What she didn't check was the rooftop and bathrooms.. Rooftop it is! She darted through the hallways until she came flying down to the hall leading to the place she needed to go. She stopped to see Sota and his dogs stomping up the stairs. Ayame's eyes bulged. She bit her lip and scurried forward. She panted loudly as she reached the stairs. She purposely let herself be heard but also to actually catch her breath. Sota's friends were the first to notice her, and one of them poked his arm to grab his attention. He glared down at her. "What do you want, pest?" He growled. This tugged a nerve on Ayame. She clenched her jaw as she was bent over and catching her breath. Before Sota could start yelling at her, she looked up at him as if she just received news. "Someone," She shouted up at him, "is trying to pick your lock on your locker! They said they saw something in there and it was enough to get you expelled!" Ayame's eyes were filled of fake worry. Sota cursed about a million times before he shoved his friends down and followed them. He stopped to surprisingly grab Ayame's arm with brute force. She yelped in surprise and slight pain.
"Why didn't you f***ing stop them you dumb-"
"C'mon, man! Before you get expelled!" His friends cried, already turning the corner to the hallway. Sota tightened his grip on her making Ayame wince. He only glared down at her like he just watched her kill his mom and wanted revenge. After a silent moment of his threatening stare, he let her go and bolted.
Ayame sat on the stairs, taking her time to soothe her arm. She lifted her sleeve to see an already-forming bruise. She groaned and put her sleeve back down, hurrying up the stairs.

Ayame tripped on the last step, making a loud 'Oof' sound. She slowly got up and pushed open the door. "Takeshi?" She called the moment she took a step outside.

Ayame nibbled on her lower lip. Now hat she was up here, does she just be blunt about it? She inwardly face palmed herself. Not like there's anything else to tell him. She looked back at the staircase before walking somewhat forward, enough to the point the door would close. "Sota and his pals are looking for you.. to.." She let herself trail, feeling awkward at her position. She was also still trying to push away the distracting pain on her right arm. She went to rub the bruise, but the instant a tiny contact was made, she winced and drew away from it. "He was coming this way.." She mumbled, looking off to the side.

Ayame gaped at Takeshi. How could he get immune to this pain? She was still trying to bear with the stinging bruise left on her arm. She recalled back to all the times they addressed Takeshi's name for pitiful lies, but why had she just began to take things into her own hands? Was she sick of drawing out the joker card?
Ayame could only watch as Takeshi lit a cigarette. She felt her hand tighten into a fist. "Fine." She muttered, beginning for the rooftop door to take her leave. Fine to Ayame, though, only meant that she was going to do something. Her mind rolled with many questions. Such as why are these things happening today? Why is she doing this?

Ayame almost ignored the fact to stop. She listened, but was going to act on her own anyways. She stopped dead in her tracks at the mention of Seiji. The only part she found surprising was when he told her to be careful. Her eyes widened as she looked back at him. She wanted to ask him how he knew, but dropped it. "Shouldn't I be the one to tell you to be careful?" She asked, feeling herself smile. She grabbed a hold of the door and opened it, but clumsily hit her arm on it. "Shoot," She hissed, pushing away the door for a wider space before actually trailing inside and gripping right below the bruise, "I hope Sato rots for this." She grumbled out loud.

Ayame was still rubbing her arm by the time she reached the bottom of the staircase. Not only that, but she ran into Sato and his two friends. She felt herself gulp under the gaze of these guys. Sato deeply glared at her, even had stopped in his path to confront her. "Still here for more?" He whispered to her, making Ayame cringe. Before she noticed, Sato gripped her arm again in the same spot as earlier, making her gasp. His grip felt rougher than earlier, which almost made Ayame's knees buckle beneath her. She wanted to be let go so she could tend to the bruise. "Say," Sato muttered, leaning closer to stare at her like he had stared at Mizuki at lunch. The stare that could murder. "Did you see anyone up there?" He asked, eyes widening as if urging on his threatening gaze. Immediately, she shook her head. She couldn't say anything at that moment. All she could do was worry about struggling out of his grasp. He growled. "I don't think I can believe you," He spat, "after all.. there wasn't a single soul at my locker. Nothing was moved, nothing was taken.."
Ayame didn't think about anything at that moment but being hurt even worse. Then it caught her attention. How could Takeshi get immune to this?

Sato dragged Ayame along up the stairs. With each step, she tried to wriggle out of it. With each step, she would think about Takeshi. She wanted to scream for him to run, but that would only give him away. Plus where would he run to? Ayame was dodging questions that were aiming for her. "This is a pain in the a**, would you stop trying to run!" With that, Sato flew her over his shoulder. She didn't do anything then because she didn't know what she could do. Finally reaching the rooftop door, Sato kicked it open. Ayame felt her life drain. "Ta-"
"D*mn it! Where did he go? I saw him this morning!" Sato shouted. Ayame's eyes widened. Takeshi wasn't up here? Where did he..? Ayame's thoughts were hit by a train. Don't tell me.. She looked towards the railing. Did he..?!

"You can let me go now!" Ayame shouted. Sato threw her off and started for the door with his guys. Ayame growled once they left out of earshot. She lifted her sleeve again, this time seeing most upper arm beginning to bruise severely. Her attention was snapped out of her thoughts again as she stood up, leaving her arm exposed. She darted for the railing she had just seen Takeshi at.

    -It's fine. ^^
Ayame's attention shot down to see Takeshi safely on the ground. She paled. "How the.." She shook her head and put out a hand. "Wait there!" She shouted before hurrying off to get to him. On the way of running down the steps, she shook her sleeve back down. She got to the bottom of the steps and was thankful to not see Sato and his dogs. She hurried out a door to the school and sped along it. She was panting by the time she turned a corner and was able to catch up to him. She leaned over, hands on her knees as she caught her breath. When she finally did, she pointed up. "How..?" Was all she could ask. She shook her head. "So I see you listened." She smiled, recalling back to when she warned him. She didn't realize it yet, but it slipped her mind that she was acting like herself.

Ayame was a little taken aback when he told her she shouldn't worry. She felt her guilt rise even more than last time when he actually told her that her reputation would plummet. She bit her bottom lip. "Fine, but that doesn't mean I can't hang out with you out of school." She told him, beginning to walk away back into the school again. "Saturday!" She told him before running in, not giving him a chance to say anything else. She crossed her arms, satisfied with herself as she walked through the hallways. A minute or so doing it, the bell rang to dismiss lunch. Ayame felt her heart drop. She hurried to class before the apocalypse came out from the cafeteria.

The rest of the day went by slowly. She shared last class with Seiji, and surprisingly, when he talked to her it wasn't about the party like everyone else does. To some people, the party was the only thing they could talk about with her. Like anything else could offend her. She rolled her eyes at the thought.
"..And that's how I was almost pushed off a twelve story-high building." He finished. Ayame's eyes widened.
"Why in the world would you even agree to that dare?!" She blurted out in shock. Seiji shrugged.
"For my little sister, I guess." He told her. They had a good ten minutes of talking before the school day actually ended. "So," He began as he was packing up his things in the desk beside her, "Seven tomorrow night, right?" Ayame nodded and smiled at him. She was almost the last to leave the classroom, and Seiji had followed her out. They chatted until they got out through the main doors to the school. "I'll see you tomorrow, then." He told her. Ayame nodded as she clutched her bag at her side with her left arm. Seiji patted her right arm, to which she jumped up and winced, but she easily played it off. It wasn't long before she was alone to walk home herself as Seiji ran off to join his friends. She sighed as she began her journey home. Her arm still hurts from earlier, and maybe even worse now. She grumbled and tried her best to ignore it, keeping a hold of her warmth.

Ayame nodded, remembering what she had said earlier. She had forgotten all about it. She was about to ask something, but got distracted when Takeshi stood up. When he suddenly told her she shouldn't go out with Seiji, she felt herself stiffen. "What?" She laughed out, smiling, thinking it was some joke. It only took seconds for her to actually believe he was serious. "What do you mean you don't trust him?" She asked, wanting him to explain himself. She looked up at him, getting closer than she expected due to her stubbornness of immediately understanding.

Ayame could feel herself get slightly frustrated. "As if." She mumbled, crossing her arms and backing away to fill in the space she accidentally took up between them. She tried to think back, but could never remember anything she's seen Seiji do publicly to hit on girls. Either Takeshi was lying, or he wasn't. She puffed her cheeks in even more growing frustration. "Whatever, I can take care of myself." She grumbled. "I already accepted his request, and I'd look stupid to suddenly turn him down. She looked up at Takeshi again, putting her hand on his arm as if reassuring him. She was risking the past at this moment. Would he get mad at her? She didn't want that, so she looked to him with promising eyes. "I'll be fine. I can take care of myself."

    -XDDD
Ayame's eyes widened. She stomped her foot to express her anger. "Takeshi!" She grumbled. When he was far enough, she rolled her eyes and went home. Along the way, she gripped her bag and let the fall air collide with her long sigh. "Seiji wouldn't pull anything on me." She told herself, then stopped to think. "Would he?" She shook her head, telling herself he wouldn't. She turned onto another empty road. The silence she was given was killing her. He footsteps seemed to annoy her like she was trapped in a room with no doors, and a ticking clock which could never be found. She soon grumbled out loud.

Once she was home, she figured she might as well pick something out now then get frustrated and annoyed later. "No." She mumbled, going through her closet. "No."

Ayame soon gave in, having gone through most of her wardrobe. She backed up and fell back on her bed. She stared up at the ceiling, staring. It didn't take long until she went back through her encounters today. She ran into Takeshi a few times, hung out with Alice and Seiji, got beat from Sato from just a grip.. Seemed almost casual. She sighed, lifting up her sleeve to reveal the bruise she got. What was her mother going to think when she sees this? What if anyone saw this? D*mn Sato. She clicked her tongue as she sat up. She opened her door and strolled through her empty house. Her father was at work, and her mother left a note on the wall right inside where you come in saying that she left for the weekend to see her sister. Or rather, Auntie. She grumbled and made her way to the kitchen. She reached in the freezer, grabbed a bag of frozen peas, and gently lowered it on the bruise. Immediately, Ayame winced. "This freaking hurts!" She shouted. Right as she was in the middle of yelling a storm, her phone buzzed, issuing that she had a text. She stalked back to her room and grabbed her phone, reading the text. Cant wait 2 c u ; ) Ayame shuddered at the message from Seiji. "Whatever." She told herself, ignoring his text and returning back to taking care of her arm.

Ayame groaned when she found nothing to do. She picked out what to wear tomorrow, done her homework, read, and waited for her dad to come home. Which upon realizing that dinner passed, her Dad had called and told her he'd be home late. She sighed after the call and went to take a bath. After her bath, she ate dinner alone. After dinner, she brushed her teeth and went to bed. She was going to bed pretty early, but it beat doing nothing.

Ayame woke up to casual alarm and the "glorious" sun. She used her hand to block out the light as she sat up and turned off the beeping clock. She groaned as she realized it was just another boring day of school. She rubbed her eyes before sliding out of her bed. She headed for the wardrobe, picked out clothes to wear, got ready, went to the kitchen, made breakfast, played on her phone while passing the time, got her shoes, got a ride from her Dad, and was dropped off at school. Like always, she was early. She waited a while before stepping into the school to do her basic crap. Help around.

[fancypost bgcolor=transparent; bordercolor=black; borderwidth=0.1; overflow: auto; width: 230px; height: 400px;][color=lightblue][font=tahoma]Most of the day flew by. Ayame had chatted with Seiji any time that he began to talk to her. She didn't want to feel like she was ignoring him. Though, Ayame noticed he tried to swing into more of the uncomfortable jokes. Throughout the day, she avoided Sato. Not only that, but she didn't notice Takeshi at all. She had even checked his usual spots. Mizuki couldn't stop talking about her party that night.
    ***
Ayame sighed in exhaustion as she walked home. Her arm was cramping up and neck was killing her. She muttered a few things to herself upon arriving at the corner of the street she had a fit with Takeshi at. She nibbled on her lip. Did he not come to school because of her? She glanced down the street she took to walk home, but turned the other way. Before she knew it, she was scurrying down the streets of childhood.
She let out a long sigh as she stopped at a familiar house- just, it looked it's age from the time she'd been there. Sorta.
She hesitantly approached the door to the house, knocking with even more hesitation. She took a step back after knocking on Takeshi's door. She felt nervous being here, just like the very first time.

[fancypost bgcolor=transparent; bordercolor=black; borderwidth=0.1; overflow: auto; width: 230px; height: 400px;][color=lightblue][font=tahoma]Ayame's thoughts raced. The longer she stood there, the more she felt herself grow nervous. She had second thoughts of coming here, but before she could dart away, the door opened to reveal Takeshi. Somehow, with all the nervousness, she smiled. Though, she remembered the reason for coming over and frowned. "You didn't show up for school." She mumbled, searching him with just her gaze for a reason. During the moment, Ayame jumped at the sudden vibration of her phone. She looked up at Takeshi apologetically as she scanned the message. Since it was from Seiji, she immediately deleted the message without reading it. "Mom," She muttered, rolling her eyes to roll out the lie further, "telling me how things are with Auntie." Before he could question anything, she yanked his hand. "Don't tell me you stayed home because of me! Or are you sick?" Ayame leaned down more as if inspecting him curiously.

[fancypost bgcolor=transparent; bordercolor=black; borderwidth=0.1; overflow: auto; width: 230px; height: 400px;][color=lightblue][font=tahoma]Ayame sighed in relief and let him go. At the question of her mother, she smiled again. "She's fine, though she's been asking about you recently." She slightly chuckled. "Speaking of which, how's your Mom holding up?" She asked, lifting an eyebrow. She recalled seeing her often, though not much. It's been a while since she's seen Takeshi's family, and it almost burned a hole through her at the excitement of maybe getting to see them again. Little did she know that what she was longing to see again, she wouldn't be seeing at all.
