Lykos is the Greek name for 'wolf'. Lykos is a gray wolf, who named himself after a bit of time of hatred for his past name, but his birth name was Daniel. He felt it never matched his personality, and he wanted to differentiate himself from his parents as much as possible. It's not that he hated his parents, it was just the pair of them died after he was well grown up middle-aged, and he had been longing to use his name ever since he was a little pup. He was upset at their death, yes, but only did that, praying every day for a year they would not be angered by his boldness.

Lykos is a bit of a historic nerd, as will be mentioned in his personality description ( just think of this as foreshadowing! ). His name also related to that of Lycaon, a character from Greek mythology, who gave Zeus the roasted flesh of Zeus' own son to see if he was truly omniscient. In return, Zeus turned him and all of his offspring into wolves. All of his sons were seen as reckless and carefree.

Although, Lykos won't be serving the leader their own children anytime soon.

He is pretty old for a wolf, and soon it will be time for him to join the elders. He still has a few years ahead of him before he does retire, though. He is basically a senior warrior, like Whitestorm was in the Warrior Cats Books. His exact time is about 15 years, and he will retire at 18, and live until 20. That is the goal I have for him.

His birthday is August 24th, around midnight, born into a litter of 3, the other pups still alive, but departed a long while ago on their own journeys through life, at about 1 year of life.

I will age him as in real life. He will be 16 this August 24th. 17 the next, etc.

Lykos is a Canis lupus arctos, more commonly known as "the arctic wolf". He has adapted out of his love for the cold, and can easily adapt anywhere else. The Arctic Wolf can be classed with the Gray Wolf, and is a subspecies to the "Canis lupus" as well.

Lykos has eyes the color of amber, the left eye being slightly darker. Lykos has a white pelt just like the rest of the arctic wolves, nothing to describe here. However, several battle scars line his back and shoulders. His paws are scabbed and a scar on right eye uglies it all. He also has gray hairs beginning to sprout.

Lykos is unambitious as it goes. He doesn't desire power, he just desires to set good examples and hopefully be remembered by at least one individual as a great wolf. If he was promoted, he would not expect it whatsoever. He is calm and modest, humble. He always thinks before he reacts, and plans everything well. He is basically a wise old man. The problem with him is he overthinks everything, sometimes leading him to get stressed out too easily. He is unwilling to learn, as an old dog won't change his bark. However, it is possible.
