[align=center][fancypost borderwidth=0px; width: 510px; text-align: justify; font-family: verdana; font-size: 10px; line-height: 9.5px;]Drip. Drip. Drip.
A ruffled black shape lay with its paws in the air, methodically blinking each time a water droplet landed on its nose from the tall tree above. The winding tail swished slowly back and forth.
Drip.
Codeinekiss would be his official name in a couple months. His name references a particularly popular (though clearly he isn't aware of this at the moment) human medicinal substance similar to morphine and heroin, often used to get high. The kiss part pertains to the kiss of death, due to his curiosity about life which of course, includes death. But for now, he was Codeinekit, a melanistic savannah, though he scoffs at the kit part. He decided a while ago that he would introduce himself as Cody to make things simpler, though the sweet nickname didn't quite suit his personality. Ever since he could walk and talk, Cody was figuratively stepping on toes with his filterless mouth and causing trouble, well, in the more physical sense. And one could presume it would only get worse.
Now, that isn't to say he's a bad seed. Despite being alone now, he yearns for comfort and love just as much as anyone else. His personality is rooted in the fact that he was born with a feeling of dread. That something was to happen and since he can't stop it, since everything is to pass away no matter how strongly one feels about it, what's the point of being fake-nice? What's the point of saying things you don't mean, or holding yourself back? He wasn't sure yet how to put his thoughts into words, all the child had were his feelings and thoughts on days like this, where he would spend hours at a time lounging and succumbing himself to the world inside his head.
He lay quietly, a faint smile on his normally brooding face as he dozed.

[align=center][fancypost borderwidth=0px; width: 510px; text-align: justify; font-family: verdana; font-size: 10px; line-height: 9.5px;] aka the new little brat in town. ~
He's a moody melanistic savannah with some attitude problems and the attention span of a walnut. He's usually in his own little world, daydreaming and whatnot. My plans for him in the future involve some crime / drugs / general naughtiness and trouble so lemme know if you want to be part of that. He's 4 months old, and I'll be aging him 1 month every week, maybe week and a half.
Anyway, he's open to friends & relationships etc etc, plots are always great too
aka pls plot with me. Or we can just have a thread together, "no strings attached."So yeah, that's it, pretty simple. :)

[align=center][fancypost borderwidth=0px; width: 510px; text-align: justify; font-family: verdana; font-size: 10px; line-height: 9.5px;]The coal colored savannah popped one eye open, taking in the sight of Lacelock. Just as he had slowly begun to turn his head, his (adoptive) mother appeared as well. Cody rolled over onto his stomach and shook out the debris from his coat, his whiskers twitching. He felt almost embarrassed he was caught lounging in such a way, at least, that's how he assumed he was supposed to feel. He flattened his ears at being referred to as 'little guy.'
"Yep... I'm fine," Cody responded to Lacelock as he casually wrapped around his mum in greeting, choking back the rising purr in his throat. No purring, they called him little. He was eyeing the thing on Lacelock's back, which looked like an animal. He motioned to it with his tail. "Who is that?"
Cody was sitting beside Artemis, again casually bumping his head against her. He looked up, a mischevious gleam in his eyes. "Will you play with me later?" Being a typical child (in some ways), the kid loved to play and explore, when he was brooding or sulking around being a general nuisance to everyone with his sour attitude.

[align=center][fancypost borderwidth=0px; width: 510px; text-align: justify; font-family: verdana; font-size: 10px; line-height: 9.5px;]A black savannah had been watching the male hunt, his tail swishing back and forth. At four months old, he was about as big as an average cat yet still clumsy with his body. All he could hunt were mice, birds, and perhaps the occasional rabbit. He eyed the thing Takumi used in his paws to kill the animal, copper eyes narrowed. Once he had made his kill, Cody slunk his way over to him, his expression unreadable.
"What the hell is that?" The young male flicked his tail at the bow. "...It looks cool."

[align=center][fancypost borderwidth=0px; width: 510px; text-align: justify; font-family: verdana; font-size: 10px; line-height: 9.5px;]Sounds great! Haha he hates being treated like a kid, so that'll be interesting. I'm planning on developing him + making him a bit more known while he's still a kit then when he grows up a little bit is when the fun and drama etc starts. Who makes the thread? <3

[align=center][fancypost borderwidth=0px; width: 510px; text-align: justify; font-family: verdana; font-size: 10px; line-height: 9.5px;]A young savannah had noticed an odd scent, which he assumed to be a different species of animal. His interest slightly piqued (plus nothing better to do, he sighed), Cody made his way over to the source, nonchalantly, as if he had no care in the world. His bored copper gaze settled upon what he assumed to be a little bear, a panda along with a fellow clanmate. Saying nothing yet, he unabashedly went right up to the creature, taking in his scent. He had never actually seen one before, being quite young himself. The panda was probably looking to join, in which case baby Cody had no business being there, however he decided to stay either way.
"Yeah, who are you?" Cody asked, his head cocked to the side whilst moving to stand near Neue and Lacelock.

[align=center][fancypost borderwidth=0px; width: 510px; text-align: justify; font-family: verdana; font-size: 10px; line-height: 9.5px;]Cody's head now turned to the lady that approached, slightly surprised that there were actually people who wanted to socialize with someone like him. Of course, he was also unaware of who this cat was. He internally rolled his eyes - he wished he just automatically knew everyone so we wouldn't have to keep memorizing all these scents and names.
"Hi," the kid replied in a typical monotone voice whilst eyeing her coat. "You're pretty. And my name is Cody." He didn't bother with his full name.

[align=center][fancypost borderwidth=0px; width: 510px; text-align: justify; font-family: verdana; font-size: 10px; line-height: 9.5px;]Cody looked over at his mum then the others in the group, thoroughly confused. Okay, apparently such objects, weapons, were a thing. It looked cool for all of two seconds, until it clicked in his brain. His expression changed to one of apathy as he looked upon the bow and then back at the hunter. It was indeed a good kill, he thought to himself. But would it not be more impressive if he had caught it with his bare paws and teeth? The child didn't care enough to speak up this time, and simply stood up and left without a word, only brushing his tail across Arty's back as he stalked off. He needed a nap before his attitude skyrocketed.

[align=center][fancypost borderwidth=0px; width: 510px; text-align: justify; font-family: verdana; font-size: 10px; line-height: 9.5px;]Cody showed no emotion at Lacelock's response besides a mere blink as he glanced at her back. Her daughter?
"Oh. What's wrong with her?" The savannah would reply as he slunk closer and stuck his face to peer at the bundle of fur. He nearly stuck his paw out to poke her, halting only because Arty spoke. He lost interest immediately and moved back next to her, or rather, nearly on top of her. He bumped her with his head again, his copper eyes gleaming at the thought of cookies.
"Hmm, chocolate chip," the child sighed after some intense thought. "You should spoil me more often." His only trait might as well be apathetic brat, but damn who doesn't love cookies and a great mum.

[align=center][fancypost borderwidth=0px; width: 510px; text-align: justify; font-family: verdana; font-size: 10px; line-height: 9.5px;]The form of an ebony savannah stood out against the stark gray and white boulders. Behind the boulders was the fast paced trickling of a mini waterfall, its water nearly crystal clear and showed the pale sand below. The sun from above struck down on the tiny shapes flitting beneath the pool, causing their scales to sparkle and gleam for a mere moment before they disappeared again. There was a small cave behind the waterfall, just big enough for three domestic cats to fit. The savannah mentally took note of this place, for perhaps it could be used in the future.
Codeinekit, also known as Cody, was perched upon one of the rocks that leaned in more than the others so it was over the water. The young male was simply laying on his stomach, tail slowly swishing back and forth. Though he was only four months old, he was the size of an adult domestic cat. He appeared more like a serval than anything, with bat-like ears and long legs attached to a lean figure. His tail was longer than a serval's, however, and proportionate to his body. His copper eyes lazily stared at the water below, watching the gleaming shapes flitter back and forth. He was mesmerized by the shimmering movement of the light as it danced on top of the water. He had a few bits of catnip at his paws, something he had discovered only recently. It was relatively harmless since quite nearly everyone used it, however the feeling it gave him was something the child knew he would grow to crave.
ooc / this is a thread for cody & atsushi, also open for anyone to jump in and chill (bc not a fan of private threads).

[align=center][fancypost borderwidth=0px; width: 510px; text-align: justify; font-family: verdana; font-size: 10px; line-height: 9.5px;]A dark shape was weaving through the territory, bored out of his young mind. He had caught the scent of a mouse about a minute or so ago, and had his head lowered to the ground in an attempt to figure out where the little rascal was located. Just as he noticed a little shape scurry out of the corner of his eye, a new smell hit him. The ebony savannah paused and breathed in the air, forgetting about the rodent. He changed his direction and slunk his way past a few trees and bushes and whatnot, copper glare focusing in on the child which lay beneath one of the trees.
"Hm," the perpetually bored Cody murmured, settling himself nearby. "You look horrible. Are you alright?"

[align=center][fancypost borderwidth=0px; width: 510px; text-align: justify; font-family: verdana; font-size: 10px; line-height: 9.5px;]Cody had been casually gnawing on a bird by himself, in his own little world as usual. The ebony savannah child's mind was always off somewhere far away, and facing reality was a reluctant daily battle. His attention focused on the cub only a few feet in front of him. Someone had ran into her, knocking her crown off. The kit paused and sighed, wondering if it was really necessary to get up and say something. Eh, what the hell.
"You good?" Cody asked, reluctantly picking up her crown.

[align=center][fancypost borderwidth=0px; width: 510px; text-align: justify; font-family: verdana; font-size: 10px; line-height: 9.5px;]"That looked like it hurt," the child muttered, wondering how she just brushed it off. "Nah, we haven't met. I'm Cody." His copper gaze boredly flicked back to his chewed up bird.
-
[align=center][fancypost borderwidth=0px; width: 510px; text-align: justify; font-family: verdana; font-size: 10px; line-height: 9.5px;]"Hi," the ebony child would mutter as he sulked on over to them, copper gaze never really focusing on someone for too long. Of course, he was young and he had no idea these strangers were important or even who they were. "Um, I'm Cody." Even his tone reflected his total apathy for everything, though it was the perpetually bored look in his eyes that really sold it.

[align=center][fancypost borderwidth=0px; width: 510px; text-align: justify; font-family: verdana; font-size: 10px; line-height: 9.5px;]The ebony savannah had been off on an "adventure." Well, sort of. It involved him finding the most secluded spot in the entire territory and napping. However, it was still an adventure and quite a feat as well, considering his clanmates were everywhere. While that wasn't a bad thing in general, it certainly was for Cody, who even at this age preferred solitude over pretty much anything else. He loved living here, but he just didn't feel like he fit in, like everyone was so nice and kind to each other and then there was him, the angsty little brat. The more he grew up, the more he stopped caring and would do his own thing. But for now, he allowed the tiny little stabs of self-consciousness to pierce him. So, as any young child would do, Cody went to see his mother.
He didn't even pause as he entered the debuty's room, his copper gaze immediately scanning the space and then finally settling on Arty. Cody was at least her size, probably bigger, yet he still hopped up beside the white she-cat and nuzzled her, ignoring the fact that she was clearly working.
"Hi mum," the young male would meow in a rather glum tone of voice as he gently lay on his tummy with his head placed on his paws. It was not the best day. Then again, he'd never really had a good day to compare.
