[fancypost bgcolor=; border:0px; width: 423px; font-size: 8pt;text-align:justify; line-height: 100%] Hearing Caffeine talk so casually about Red's denial of caring feelings it was almost painful, to hear the other male tell Kurloz that Red was being difficult. Because Red was being difficult, and didn't like to admit that. The Scarclanner could continue to run his mouth and spit out seething words that portrayed hatred, trying to convince himself rather than anybody else that he didn't care for Caffeine; Red didn't care for anybody. Because Red was an angsty teenager really. Didn't want to admit that he had feelings for anybody, hadn't publicly told anybody that he held feelings for anybody. Showing emotions through actions it was enough for Red to not completely shut down everybody, but never speaking said feelings out loud the male had found himself time and time again wanting to apologise for his brash behaviour. Red never acted on those impulses. His actions painting a picture of frustration now; claws instinctively curling into the ground underneath him, going unnoticed to the feline attached to them. Even the laughter erupting from Caffeine only served to heighten frustration as the other male apparently found it hilarious that Red would ever show how he was upset at Caffeine and his harmful antics. Was this a joke to him? Red could only fix Caffeine a dull glare as his red eyes narrowed at the tabby while he continued to list off the number of things that would have to happen, for the two to have a caring and uncomplicated relationship. Red at this point was ready to paint the snow green himself.

That glare was then directed back to Kurloz. Puns causing at least a subconscious part of Red laugh, he wanted to reply with own quip and forget how angry he felt. But refraining from these actions Red continued to keep a mildly flat expression. It was only ever broken through by frustrated anger. * just, ' shut up', 'leave me alone', The claws digging into the earth continued to gain pressure as Red found himself releasing tension that way instead out verbalising it towards Kurloz and Caffeine. (and Faus Red would later muse idly.) * stop it. Red finished with clear release of tension, relief that he hadn't lashed out again. Red didn't want to feel guilty everytime he saw Kurloz over some stupid and silly situation. Not over Caffeine, not over Calli.

Would it be better if Caffeine had been tipsy within the camp? The thought taking its sweet-ass time to process as Red turned back to focus on Caffeine, pondering as he listened to the tabby's spiel. Half out of the sorts it was difficult to not just lash out again. * j-just don't say anything like that to anybody r-right? Stumbling and stuttering Red was getting progressively more flustered, embarrassed that he had been wrong and the comment was truly harmless. It was just that did appear that way on the surface. Red's lack of social expertise mixed with the fact that Red really didn't understand how flirting worked just served to worsen the situation. Sighing and refusing to meet the other feline's gaze for a few moments Red finally turned back as he heard the next portion of words to reach his ears. * that's sweet caf, but you're still an idiot. besides there's always more productive ways to pass time. Drawing out the word; 'sweet' in a sarcastic drawl it was obvious how Red thought about the statement. But was quickly overshadowed by the rather hypocritical advice that came next. Red clearly not taking advice from his own book. * and yes; it'd be better if you 'relocated' to camp. Relocating anywhere Red could keep a watchful eye on the tabby was really what the black feline had meant. But refraining from uttering the almost protective remark Red continued to pace and shuffle awkwardly, halfway between wanting to shake Caffeine and tell him again how much of an idiot he was and hugging the guy as he broke down. It was rather public for something like that now Red reminded himself. * i-i- y-you're gonna' get yourself killed one day you know that? just don't make that day today. It was getting progressively harder to restrain Red's urge to reach out to the other feline, evident in his eyes finally softening from dull anger, albeit only slightly. Red optics resting on the area Red believed Caffeine to hit on a rock.

Then Faustus came, telling Red to stop shouting it was almost enough for Red to lash out again and tell the other Paradigm that Caffeine deserved this. Red knew that those silly and selfish thoughts weren't true however. Instead the black feline kept his gaze down as he tried to process what was being asked of him, and how to respond. Well it at least got the male to stop his angry yelling. But didn't quell any unresolved frustrations. * he doesn't need it, nobody needs it. Beginning off softly Red didn't bring his eyes to anybody, leaving the remark open for anybody to take to heart. Wolfsong, Kurloz, Faustus, Caffeine, it was so vague it didn't matter to the black feline. * he wants it. he wants to be ignorant instead of dealin' with problems. Which just so happened to become one of Red's very finest of hypocritical statements ever made by the feline in the history of ever. There was truly nothing to compare to the remark spoken by the guy who in that exact moment as he spoke was shouting angry remarks rather than having a meaningful conversation about why Caffeine felt the need to become numb. A masterpiece if the feline did say so himself.

(i think i need more than a caffeinerush at this point lmao. cx
im so tired i need to take a nap.)

[fancypost bgcolor=; border:0px; width: 423px; font-size: 8pt;text-align:justify; line-height: 100%] Looking over to the young Kitsune, Red found himself a litte confused and bewildered. Parents? Did this scrap have any? Well actually the 'scrap' didn't appear to be too far off Red's own age which did concern the male as he still thought of this Kitsune as a younger one. That was irrelevant however and Red only came up beside Trip and Cotton in silence as they awaited Spectral to respond.

    (track/so so tired)

[fancypost bgcolor=; border:0px; width: 423px; font-size: 8pt;text-align:justify; line-height: 100%] Apparently for former Rift members, Scarclan was the place to be. Former leaders taking their place here along with their deputies, it was just like everybody was handed the Scarclan brochure after they led the group. But really, it did amuse Red as he thought on it.

But thinking less of it the feline made his way over to Toast as their gaze dragged across the other male on the border. The dull and boring question finally being let out. * uh, name and business yeah. It was a boring question that Red had been hoping to stay a boring question, but Valo apparently had other ideas. A price to enter Scarclan? Red tried to ignore that creeping feeling in favour for shifting his weight onto his right leg as he kept an emotional flat expression.

[fancypost bgcolor=; border:0px; width: 423px; font-size: 8pt;text-align:justify; line-height: 100%] Red held a rather conflicting and confusing relationship with The Exiles. Hatred was a powerful emotion, but it seemed to fit the bill so well as Red thought back on the group and what they had done to those around him. Practically all of his friends being captured by one of their members it was onto a matter of time till Red received the same treatment, and he did. Red just liked to keep that information to himself. To say that he felt emasculated was a rather large understatement.

Looking over to Valo, Red had to admit the body was an overpowering sight. Scent, feeling, Red was just trying to say here that he never truly liked the vacant expression on the dead bodies. Gore aside it was that haunting fact that these bodies no longer held life and were uninhabited that petrified Red. He tried to keep cool however. Coming up to ask Valo a question Red had the wits about him to stay a little back from the situation, not willing to come any closer to the dead body. * a-are you just gonna'- gonna' just play with that thing? Stuttering, Red found it easier to keep his eyes trained on Valo rather than the body. Much easier. * not ve-very sanitary.

    (tired sorry)

[fancypost bgcolor=; border:0px; width: 423px; font-size: 8pt;text-align:justify; line-height: 100%] Riley Harbringer, the name didn't ring any bells for the feline as he came over. Red's gaze dragging across the unknown before deciding to fully approach the event, taking part as such. Social situation and how they confused the male aside Red tried to give a small polite dip of their head to Riley as at least some form of respect and acknowledgement that they had heard their name before speaking. * don't think i've seen you before, riley. nice to meet you. name's red by the way, just in case. Offering his name Red made himself comfortable as he assessed the scene with a curious gaze.

[fancypost bgcolor=; border:0px; width: 423px; font-size: 8pt;text-align:justify; line-height: 100%] (ah, i havent responded on the raid so umm,, dont worry about the time it took, i have much much worse. uwu also sorry for my lateness schools starting again. also queen is amazing amirite??)

Regaining consciousness felt worse than being put out of it. At least the male couldn't feel the throbbing pain in his head when it was being pummelled into, losing his battle rather quickly it was only a matter of time till the male had found himself in the compromising situation at least once. Maybe it was fate's sick way of punishing him. Red craved that. Guilt was too much to bear for the feline, and oddly enough the relief that followed was in a horrid way welcomed. Suddenly becoming squimish at their own thoughts Red found himself exiting the pitch black of his strained eyes, continuing to regain bits and pieces of the world around him. Shapes being clearest it was only a matter of time till the full situation dawned on him.

This wasn't Scarclan, that wasn't one of his bumbling clanmates singing the odd tune. Fuck. Red didn't have the actual energy yet to thrash about, but tried to anyways. Their form only letting out small whimpers and twitches it was far from anything productive. Never gathering the strength to move anything than a leaf. * wh.. who? Red drifted off, his tone still small as the panic within him couldn't be brought to light in his words quite yet. The feline was still finding it hard to even keep his eyes open at this point, and then the constantly moving surroundings stopped. The blur of trees and other tall objects just halted. Looking around to the best of his abilities of right now Red couldn't tell where he was but knew he had to get out of here, get out quickly if the other male in the area was any indicator of how deep Red was in shit. Very deep the feline decided on. * f.. f-fuck you. Still scrabbling for anything intelligent for the feline to say Red only let out the angsty teenager remark as he struggled to get to his feet again. The limbs feeling just like jelly and his head too heavy for his body Red found it fruitless to even try, but continued anyways. If Red was going to be captured then the least he could do was face his fate with his head held high. Or how about keeping it low and wallowing in self-pity and fear? That sounded realistic for Red.

    sorry)

It seemed like it took forever for Calliope to return to Scarclan, the time of absence unbearable and the return very much welcomed. Red just didn't know how to feel as he watched the familiar female greet her friends and newer clanmates as he let the facts sink in that Calliope was back again. Had she gone to Riverclan? Shadowclan? Windclan? Seeing Boyoaw would be unfortunately one of the first things Red would expect from Calliope, but still held on to his selfish wishes; that he could try and stop the two from meeting. His own vendetta against the enemy clan the only reason that came to be. But the two were on okay terms now, mostly. Red still felt guilt whenever he was reminded of those circumstances, but knew that his relationship with Calliope was much more than Boypaw's capture. Time spent talking together, watching fireworks at night and debatably spending time at the spa. Red tried to see the bigger picture here and appreciate the fact that Calliope was back again. That fact alone bringing a warm smile to his face.

    * calli! With a higher tone than usual Red would exclaim the nickname with recognition and excitement. His eyes softening to almost a pinkish hue Red came up closer to the gathering and the returned clanmate with a sense of urgency, like if Red wasn't quick enough then Calliope would be gone again. * couldn't keep away for long eh? With a teasing tone the feline would settle himself by the female, glancing over to Caffeine and Faustus just to measure their reactions to Calliope's return. Their own emotions and trying to find anything for Red to sense. Happiness? Anger appeared to be radiating off Faustus, but Red knew that frustration could make you feel the oddest of things in moments like these. Calli's leaving having immediate and impactful reprocussions. * welcome back calli. i.. i missed you too. With all that immediate joy at the return Red supposed he would burn out and fade into the weird sensation of wanting to cry at happy moments, something Red didn't understand, words coming out slowed and soft. It was rather hard to say the sappy words in the first place. Not because Red didn't meant it, because he did, but as the feline never acknowledged feelings like these often it wasn't within his comfort zone. To hell with comfort zones.

What wasn't in Red's comfort zone however was the fact that as the male wanted to get closer to Calli and give his own form of hug (or whatever the angsty teenager's equivalent was) Jemma was also there. The beef between the two Red found hard to let go but tried to not let the slight annoyance get to his facial expression as he felt the slightest twinges of jealously prick at him. The act not sitting right with him.

[fancypost bgcolor=; border:0px; width: 423px; font-size: 8pt;text-align:justify; line-height: 100%] Red didn't mind Studentloans (but with a name like 'red' anything even remotely original was way above his own name) yet could respect Dalton's wishes to change their name. It was Dal's choice really and Red would just have to make sure not to call the male by his former title anymore. So Red was here, to make sure he didn't do just that, make sure the new name stuck and etched its way into his mind to relay with the face Red had grown to know as another. * alright, gotcha uh.. dalton. Giving a small hesitant nod to Dalton it was rather embarrassing to admit that Red had almost already mucked it up, but knew that hopefully that would be the first and last time he had a close call. Besides Dalton was a pretty hard name to forget right? Not like anything the feline and heard before.

    [fancypost bgcolor=; border:0px; width: 423px; font-size: 8pt;text-align:justify; line-height: 100%] ;a;

Coming across the dead body Red couldn't tell whether it was better or worse that there was no blood, no guts. It made the mess a little more bearable, but didn't help the feline's fear of a unoccupied form, a lifeless body waiting for a host. This body hopefully wouldn't be subjected to that fate. But Red supposed he didn't really know Alex all that well either, and now he couldn't. Unless one day he would finally join her. That thought was at least a little sobering, it distracted the feline away from the overcoming pressure of a dead body in front of him. But hopefully that day wasn't soon; Red had people to live for still.

Trying to keep his eyes away from Alex's body, Red glanced over a few times as he noticed the note also by the female's body. Huh. Break's death still resounded in the clan, and Grandpaw's own. That caused a pang of sadness in Red as he remembered that yes, Break wasn't coming back anymore. Red supposed the same was true for Grandpaw, and now Alex. Christ, that was some pretty nerve-wracking thoughts there, Red's memory failing him he couldn't recall a death of a loved one until he made it to Scarclan. This was foreign territory, and Red already hated it. * d-don't worry k.. kid. Swallowing thick saliva Red kept his eyes firmly on the ground and the surrounding area of Alex as he answered Kineticpup's question the only way Red thought possible. The feline not being some teacher, or a trusted adult he always tried to look for the easy way out. * we-we'll bury 'er r-right? i-i-i mean f-for her sake, um- i- yes? Anything to not look at the dead and lifeless body again.

    (ninja'd so badly i cant)

[fancypost bgcolor=; border:0px; width: 423px; font-size: 8pt;text-align:justify; line-height: 100%] Exile scent, Red hated the familiar smell as he could feel his nose instinctively scrunch up as it hit his senses. Ugh. What could only make this situation worse was the fact that the Exiler had the nerve to cross into the territory like he was welcomed, but this was The Exiles Red reminded himself, and just plop the dead bodies like they didn't even care for what they had just done. Actually Red didn't doubt for a second that the Exiler didn't care for the former life within the pets. * i'd say 'make yourself at home' but you're already doing such a good job at that. Snarling at the intruder Red kept his eyes on Leonidas as he made the idle comments. Because well if the other Exilers who left some rather unpleasant gifts had been cowards and legged it, at least they knew what was good for them. * because i mean wow, idiots show up here all the time but you sir, you are makin' the fuckin' cake and takin' it too. Continuing Red didn't really know what else to do, make more idle comments or attack. The guy was smack bam in camp and Red didn't want to humiliate himself. The feline settled for circling Leonidas as he awaited a larger clanmate to help out.

[fancypost bgcolor=; border:0px; width: 423px; font-size: 8pt;text-align:justify; line-height: 100%] Macarona? Hearing the familiar name Red was half expecting the canine's name to be just misheard by the feline, or perhaps it was something spoken in passing. But arriving by the already gathered Scarclanners it was evident that this was no passing comment. Macarona had come back to Scarclan, to visit? Had Macarona come back to join again as well? Red couldn't imagine that being the case as it had been with Calliope. * mac, um- welcome back to scarclan. are you.. are you alright? did something happen on the way here? Flinching inwardly at the repeated words in his head that it was obvious that Macarona wasn't 'okay' Red shook off the memory as he tried to get a good look at the frightened canine. Perhaps Macarona had run into a gang of not so nice people on the way to Scarclan? When had been the last time Red had seen the girl? Not since, well not since the demons. Shuddering at that memory also, Red frowned slightly as he gave a concerned look to Macarona. Awaiting a response.

[fancypost bgcolor=; border:0px; width: 423px; font-size: 8pt;text-align:justify; line-height: 100%] Gardening wasn't really Red's thing, the whole peaceful atmosphere was great and all but it took so damn long to prepare and for the plants to actually grow. Kinda boring. The male preferred it when medicine could be made with chemicals that took less time to prepare, especially in a packet. (not that red could remember taking anything like that, especially as a cat) Yet the male was here and looking over the wolf as he set up the gardening equipment.

    * so you're a green thumb eh? Making the idle remark, Red looked over the situation with a confused and conflicted gaze. Whether to offer assistance or not the feline just did not know at this point.

    [hr]

[fancypost bgcolor=; border:0px; width: 423px; font-size: 8pt;text-align:justify; line-height: 100%] So Lithiumpaw's child had also gone missing, Exiles suspected of causing said disappearance. It wasn't a far fetched idea really, The Exiles becoming more and more of a nuisance with each passing day it was just more and more captures and more and more senseless killings left on the clan's doorstep. Even some of the brutes and waltzed right into the camp while others left killings strung up. Ugh, they were all the same to Red. * the exiles need to be put into their place period, but are we going to sent a rescues patrol? Starting off with talking to Hidden Red then turned the question to Dodger, seeking the leader's approval or opinion on the matter. Because politics were finicky.

    that idiot.

Red didn't know how he could even hear the familiar voice anymore, a loud throbbing within his ears was the usual presence now, he attributed it to how Red seemed to pinpoint the tone nowadays. Even in his injured state Red couldn't fight the feeling to come and check on Caffeine, even in enemy territory where Red had been captured, even if it was going to kill Red. The pull to fuss over the other Scarclanner one that tugged hard despite the harsh words that always seemed to overflow when trying to express that thought. Anger-filled and spiteful, Red didn't even know how could say the things he did until he did. It wasn't what he was thinking.

he's going to get himself killed!

This wasn't how Red's stay at The Exiles was supposed to go, no Scarclan patrol coming to save him like there had been before, no mourning or pity, and certainly no white knights. Heh. The thought should have amused Red, how the term had been directed at Caffeine more than once, but it didn't. It was a reminder of how fate dug in its heels; Red was being beaten like he had with Boypaw. But Red didn't want Caffeine to try and step in this time, it was different, The Exiles were different and Red was a fully grown-ass adult. The sight of the tabby male only served to cause a pang of guilt in his stomach. Caf was going off the rails again and letting himself be captured for the sake of Red's silly mistakes. Fuck that.

    you're an idiot!

Again Red had found himself wanting to shout the phrase at Caffeine, like it meant anything anymore. Like if Red repeated the words enough then something would change, it hasn't before and the situation always escalated.

Grunting in pain at the effort of using bruising muscles again Red would narrow his eyes at the tabby, both anger and confusion displayed within them as he tried to make sense of everything going on. Observing who else had come to confront the male Red felt the urge to fight back and defend his clanmate, he didn't. Instead Red settled for glaring as it was the only thing the black feline was capable of. The gaze lingered on Reiki for a moment longer than the rest, being taken aback at the appearance of the former Scarclanner. So this was where the guy had ended up then? Red couldn't say that he wasn't surprised, because he was at least a little; it just wasn't pleasant. The two didn't have a great relationship. Red could still feel small bouts of anger that didn't fade when he noticed the other male, even if the only reason for this anger was a petty comment on his height, Red held grudges for a very long time. Apparently this extended to months on end as Red hadn't seen Reiki in some time, the Scarclanner doubting the other even knew of Scarclan's state and Breakdance's death. The anger had to be shaken off however, for the sake of Red's pride and what was left of it.

    * get off him!

Rick's orders however were not sitting well in the Scarclanner, causing blind panic to set in and Red's stomach sink as he heard of the leader's intentions. He wasn't going to really kill him right? No that was just empty threats, all so empty, they we're all so empty. Christ. The Exiles were so much different to what Red had been used to in his home and it was starting to show. Breath quickening it felt as if Red was to pass out, Red felt like he was going to die! He wasn't of course, unless he had a heart attack, but it felt that way. It was getting too hard to even think straight at this point, and Red didn't know what to do to stop it. * st-stay away from him or i-i'll- i'll.. i'll kill you! Another sudden outburst and it was Red's turn to make empty threats. * kill you, k-kill you, kill you! i'll- i'll! Red felt his energy pick up with the help of adrenaline and sheer anger, using that newfound energy to lunge forward at Rick. Aiming to use whatever strength the feline had left he would try to lash out at Rick, opening jaws with sharp feline teeth that didn't seem so threatening in the presence of the larger tiger. Aiming to sink those teeth into the shoulder of the leader and try to create an electric shock running through his fangs into the tiger. Red didn't really care where he hit, he just wanted to get Rick away from Caf. Red wanted Caffeinerush to be spared. * kill you!

    [hr]

[fancypost bgcolor=; border:0px; width: 423px; font-size: 8pt;text-align:justify; line-height: 100%] Ah, well Red's worries had been verified. Didn't mean it didn't hurt to hear. But it wasn't a full demotion like the male had been expecting, because taking multiple full days absence was really cause for concern and Red had been expecting much worse. Oh well, Red supposed he should be glad that it wasn't a loss of position and just a warning. The male made notice to boost his presence in the clan.

Glancing over to Jack the Scarclanner gave a somber smile, also wincing slightly at Caffeine's mention. But the feline tried to focus back on more important issues; the Libra Alliance. Red could actually remember this discussion, could remember hearing the Shadowclan leader's proposal and the reasoning behind the scenes. It had actually passed the feline by and he had forgotten all about it. Having it brought up again Red thought it was still an okay idea. With the Toxic alliance gone there wasn't much save for the scrapped empire which had been in the works at the time of the discussion. There would have to be at least something done about the threats plaguing Shadowclan, concerns for his friend there prevailing in that thought. Maybe it was time to pay the clan a visit again.
