Whoops, he was late, again. Not that this feeling was terribly new to the canine, but for some reason he felt a little guilty today. Perhaps it was because he was finally shaping up to be relatively good person. Nah, he just felt like he should be here to listen to the announcements and suggestions that everyone had to put forward. With a flick of his tail, Wastedtime trotted over to join the group and stood beside Kaori, nodding in agreement with her suggestions. Perhaps it wasn't the best idea to stand beside her during this meeting because, as cheesy as it sounded, all he could think about was her. Meanwhile, he was expected to be contributing to the meeting, so he shook his head and took a deep breath. Focus.
Mock raids sounded like a good idea, but of course, no raids all together would be a better ideal, now matter hoe far-fetched it sounded. It was a little ironic, was it not, that one of the most war-opposed people in the clan was on the riverguard team? Well, he was still a trainee, but the point still stood. It was no little known fact that Time was quite against the idea of violence to sort of disputes, but if that was what Twistedstar ordered, than that was jolly well the method they would use to attempt to keep the peace. He just thought that wars were unnecessary violence and only lead to pointless casualties on both sides. Why fight when, at the very least try, to settle things with more peaceful methods? Why did everyone feel the need to resort to violence to get their points across? Was it because they didn't want to be seen as weak? Although fighting was a primitive instinct developed from the fight or flight reaction, it was essentially mutually assured destruction, for if nobody felt the need to appear stronger by fighting to protect themselves, then nobody would have to fight, therefore nobody would have to be injured. That was just his opinion, though, and he didn't really expect anyone else to share it.
"I agree with the idea of training sessions and mock raids," he replied after a rather long pause. He had been too concerned with his own thoughts to actually formulate a good answer, so instead he just blurted out the first things that came to mind. "It's a bit hard to be dropped straight into the deep end, so I think the riverguard team will be better and more coordinated as a whole once we learn how to operate with each other."
