[fancypost bgcolor=transparent; bordercolor=transparent;][font=times new roman]She would have been a rather unexpected creature to be crouched on the pale beach, her head lowered close to the ground and long antennae twitching at everything that stirred within her hearing range. The insect was about the size of a wolf for now, almost tortoiseshell-colored. "Hello?" The arthropod called out, mandibles clicking together softly and voice sounding oddly fluent despite the lack of cheeks.

Bulletwound's wings shifted slightly against her back, her chocolate eyes searching for someone to speak to. She understood how the process worked thanks to living on said island for a few years, though she never cared to speak with any of the other inhabitants unless they were bullet ants as well. That is, until she found that she could live longer than most of her other kind. The very fact that she was already four years old was astounding, and yet she was still quite young. Her joints didn't yet ache every time she moved, and her energy far excelled past any normal queen ant. Perhaps this was due to some rare genetic trait, but it was hard to imagine that these little bugs have been around for millions of years and yet such a case hasn't shown up until now.

[fancypost bgcolor=transparent; bordercolor=transparent;][font=times new roman]"Oh, thank you." The female replied, releasing a soft laugh to show she wasn't in a particularly foul mood, as one couldn't see any sort of smile she would attempt to make. "Oh, right. My name's Bulletwound, and I've lived here as a smaller specimen for many years," She began, antennae straightening and sort of angling themselves toward the two before her. "I've grown curious of this place, and I was wondering if I could possibly join? Even if my role is to be the pack mule, I would very much appreciate being able to live amongst all of you to see how things operate in a clan, opposed to a troop of my fellow people."

[fancypost bgcolor=transparent; bordercolor=transparent;][font=times new roman]"I'm afraid I have no clue how to answer that myself." Bullet replied with an apologetic click of the large incisors, standing up a bit more so she didn't appear to be laying down to anyone. Hopefully they didn't think she was sizing them up, since she just really didn't enjoy crouching all day. "One morning I was helping my sister in the core of our hill, and the next morning I was able to clear a few trees with my bite. I've learned how to control my growth, however, so there's no need to fret."

Her voice came out as a gentle hum, and if it weren't for her practically terrifying appearance, one would probably think she had a melodic tune. "Thank you all though for inviting me kindly. I get tired of acting as a queen among the troops, so I am greatly looking forward to working under others for a change." Her chocolate optics brightened with what could be assumed joy, and her sensors lowered a bit in a stance that would normally be seen in submissive worker ants.

[fancypost bgcolor=transparent; bordercolor=transparent;][font=times new roman]Next would come the horrendous ant. Although her appearance often caught creatures... offguard, she was actually rather neat and orderly when it came to morning routines. First she would scrub her mandibles free of any leftovers from previous meals, working inside her mouth at the same time. After, she carefully would maneuver around her antennae, soon working down the rest of her form.

Bulletwound made her way over in a slow fashion as to not frighten the other creatures present, though irritated at her pace and soon sitting down to the best of her ability, sensors twitching in Pollux's direction as she listened for what he had to say. Maybe she would learn a thing or two about these normally larger animals that often didn't care for her kind (unless her species bit them, then they would very much care and possibly experience a moment of pure white, excruciating agony that could even incacipate a human at her normal size).

[fancypost bgcolor=transparent; bordercolor=transparent;][font=times new roman]Her mandibles clicked lightly as a sort of smile as she looked to Kahlen, even flagging one of her antennae like a waving hand. "Thank you Kahlen, it's a pleasure to meet you as well." Her legs shifted, trying to get a better grope against the sand under them, the visible hairs brushing over the grains in an oddly gentle sort of way despite their quick movements.

[fancypost bgcolor=transparent; bordercolor=transparent;][font=times new roman]As one would probably know very well, ants could pick up smells very easily. By the time she had made her way over to the scene, her antennae are twitching frantically over the items and a soft hiss slipped past her mouth. "Hey guys, I think something terrible has happened." The ant's voice rang out, a bit concerned despite the fact she didn't know a whole lot of people as of yet.

[fancypost bgcolor=transparent; bordercolor=transparent;][font=times new roman]"If it will make you unafraid, then I will tell you I am a vegetarian." Bulletwound answered, though she couldn't quite reassure him any further. She rather did enjoy meat as much as any other scavenger/omnivore did, so she didn't know how else to answer. "I do like berries though and many leftovers, so please do not be alarmed."

[fancypost bgcolor=transparent; bordercolor=transparent;][font=times new roman]"I would like to participate in the rescue." She answered, sensors still twitching frequently. "If I am not allowed to fight, perhaps I could follow the scent trail instead and be a sort of guide? I would very much appreciate being able to do this."

[fancypost bgcolor=transparent; bordercolor=transparent;][font=times new roman]Bulletwound was there as well, though mainly out of curiosity about how these clan meetings ran. Usually her kind just whispered along the rows of each other news and gossip, but it appeared these creatures acted differently. Interesting, to say the least.

[fancypost bgcolor=transparent; bordercolor=transparent;][font=times new roman]"Would... Would you rather I fight instead?" She inquired confusedly, mandibles twitching in what could be assumed as a frown. "I could, but I wouldn't want to frighten any of my troop- I mean, clan- members."

[fancypost bgcolor=transparent; bordercolor=transparent;][font=times new roman]"Oh, hello. Is this where the "meat and greet" is?" The giant ant inquired casually, her sensors twitching to take in all the strange scents that surrounded the area, soon slowing to a stop before those gathered, though somewhat focusing on the one who had called it up in the first place. "My name is Bulletwound to those who do not yet know me. It's truly a pleasure to be here."

[fancypost bgcolor=transparent; bordercolor=transparent;][font=times new roman]The bullet ant's automatic response to this was to spread her mandibles- and as lovely as that sounds to someone who doesn't know what the word meant, it was even less suggestive when one would notice that these were, in fact, blade-like teeth attacked to her right upfront of her mouth.

She relaxed after the first few words, however, her antennae twitching in discomfort at how the earth seemed to tremble even as the large dragon shrieked. "I will keep mys ensues out for any such behavior." Bulletwound stated simply, though mostly to herself as a note.

[fancypost bgcolor=transparent; bordercolor=transparent;][font=times new roman]The wolf-sized creature didn't want to interrupt, but at the same time she didn't want to seem rude and stare at them whilst they conversed. "I am Bulletwound, it's a pleasure to meet you. I apologize for cutting in." Her head bowed a bit at this last sentence, apologetically glancing to Fauna as she felt she had just interrupted them.

[fancypost bgcolor=transparent; bordercolor=transparent;][font=times new roman]"Glad to know I didn't get lost." She stated jokingly toward Diamond, her wings shifting slightly against her back before she turned her head to look at Span, her chocolate eyes bright in joy as she replied warmly, "Thank you, and it's nice to meet you as well."

[fancypost bgcolor=transparent; bordercolor=transparent;][font=times new roman]Who could say no to such an adorable child? Heck, Bullet could hardly say no to anyone who wanted to get on. "Climb aboard." She laughed softly, crouching down carefully as to not pinch the feline's legs between the one it currently held and her body.

[fancypost bgcolor=transparent; bordercolor=transparent;][font=times new roman]Personally she was four years and still quite young, though that was something to be explained for some other time. For now, though, the creature slowly raised, six legs moving in a seemingly unorganized fashion as she began to walk, aiming to circle around the others at her casual pace (which was perhaps a bit quick compared to how mammals walked).

[fancypost bgcolor=transparent; bordercolor=transparent;][font=times new roman]It took her a moment to realize she was being spoken to, her hues widening slightly at the comment before she let off a soft laugh that signalled a smile she couldn't form. "Hello Talia, my name's Bulletwound, it's a pleasure to meet you." The female stated first, bowing her head a little in appreciation and a sort of flattered gesture as she soon added, "Oh- thank you! You have very pretty fur." She hoped she wouldn't offend her by commenting about it; ants usually said something about how alert they looked to each other that acted as sort-of compliments, but not quite.

[fancypost bgcolor=transparent; bordercolor=transparent;][font=times new roman]Bullet's antennae were twitching rather frequently at this, watching the scene unfold while she walked a bit closer to Diamond, though mostly to get a better angle of the situation. She could smell it too, through her sensors, and the fear was something she didn't even think was possible for such usually-large animals.
