It was a warm, summer afternoon. Fall was approaching so it was not as scorching hot as it had been all summer long. Along with this wonderful weather, was a very exciting day. Not many leaders got excited to see an apprentice move onto being a warrior, but Viperpaw had worked hard and well for the clan. That and to see the clan growing was also such a wonderful thing to see.
A small, tortoiseshell figure walked out from her den underneath a large, towering oak tree. Light-green hues, like that of the spring grass, shone in the sun as it made it's slow pace across the sky. Then the small cat was joined by a lanky black and white tomcat, her translator one could say. Then the two jumped up into the Sky Tree. Though the smaller figure went higher, while the lanky tom stayed at one of the lower branches. Then the spotted leader let out a couple robin calls, her way of gathering her clan together.

Crouching down onto a branch underneath his cousin, the tom glared down at the others. Prickly and tempered, the medicine cat was not one to be friendly with his clan. Though he wished he was not the one who always had to translate for his cousin, but no other cat's had the patience to learn how to speak her weird series of screeches and cries. Guess his leader's underdeveloped cords were to be blamed, but he was going to be angry about it anyway. Tensing when Robinstar suddenly cawed out, and gave a low growl in annoyance. She always had to be so fucking loud!
"All cat's old enough to catch their own prey, join beneath the Sky Tree for a clan meeting," Taintedmelody called out after Robinstar finished her squeaking.

Having taken up a spot beside the hollow log that was the Warriors' den, pale blue eyes looked up at the call from the Sky Tree. Though didn't make a move to stand as she could watch the meeting from here. This was probably going to be a ceremony for an apprentice, which was very exciting. Hopefully this new warrior will be a good asset to the clan.

"i have gathered you all together today for a very exciting ceremony," Robinstar chirped, with Taintedmelody translating under her word for word. The small she-cat looked down into the crowd of cat's and smiled, "Skystream, do you believe your apprentice, Viperpaw, has worked hard enough to receive her warrior name?," Looking down into the crowd for the tabby and white warrior, while the medicine cat made their leader's chirps into words for them to understand.

Robinstar//3 years//Leader
Robinstar gave a happy chirp and went to hop down from her perch to approach Viperpaw, "Then I, Robinstar, leader of Hopeclan, call upon our warrior ancestors to look down on this apprentice. She has trained hard to understand the ways of your noble code, and I commend her to you as a warrior in her turn," she cooed, "Viperpaw, do you promise to uphold the warrior code and protect the clan even at the cost of your life?" Twitching her ear as Taintedmelody continued to translate.

Robinstar//3 years//Leader
The small leader gave a soft smile before continuing, "Then by the powers of StarClan, I give you your warrior name. Viperpaw, from this moment you will be known as Viperstrike. StarClan honors your independence and loyalty, and we welcome you as a full warrior of Hopeclan," Robinstar then went to touch her nose to the top of Viperstrike's head. Pulling away after a moment, and gave a purr-like noise. Happy that her clan was growing and bringing in strong cats. All that a leader could want. Behind the crowd Sweetdust started the chanting of a new warrior's name excitedly.

Robinstar//3 years//Leader
The leader gave a happy chirp, and dismissed the meeting by walking back towards her den. Past the newly made warrior, and she should have Greyheart make some patrols to send out. Though hopefully there would be more apprentice training since one just became a warrior. Would make sense, but she trusted her warriors.

With his translation job finished, the lanky tomcat jumped down and lashed his tail back and forth. Now to find Meadowpaw and go out to get some herbs. With fall approaching, he wanted to make sure they where stocked and ready for any sickness that came through his camp.

Robinstar//3 years//Leader
The small tortoiseshell gave a happy chirp in greeting to her deputy, and nodded in agreement. Though it would have to be one patrol since it was to be sunset. Better to check their borders than not at all. Gesturing to Frostpaw as he approached, indicating she'd like her deputy to take his apprentice with him.

The fluffy orange she-cat stood up from where she had laid, and stretched her back in an arch. Then the shy cat went to lick at her chest a bit. Now to get some food before maybe going for a walk or something on her own.

OOC: it was mid-day, a couple hours close to sunset. Since that is when a warrior ceremony usually took place. Would be sort of dickish to make Viperstrike sit there all day xD

The sleek shadow cat blinked her green-leaf grass hues in surprise. She didn't think he'd care much for her dead kits, and when he gave a grin and a wink she found herself smiling in return. Normally she'd snap at him or roll her eyes, but their conversation was very dear to her heart. Her little bundles of fur that never got to see the light of day. Finding gratitude that Emberflare didn't just write her off, or tease her about it. Guess he did have some care in his heart for the stranger he picked up.
Pineheart gave a light laugh, a soft, harmonic sound at his words about how cute they would've been. Oh how she wished to know if that was true or not, but they definitely would've been the sweetest kittens in the clan. "I'd like to think that they're up in Starclan sometimes," she admitted, "Watching me, and waiting for me to meet them for the first time," Swishing her black tail, before going up to Emberflare and touched her pink nose to his cheek softly, "Thank you though, for saying that. It was very sweet. I never knew Featherdusk or Shadowclaw, but I bet they had very cute kits. Maybe if the clans stayed together and mine lived, they would've been friends,"

Feeling comforted at his words, she smiled at him sweetly. Those narrow ears of hers went back slightly in embarrassment at him pointing out her gesture. Pineheart may not like the caddy tomcat that much, but they were having a heart to heart. Why would she react in a negative way? Watching him look up at the pale blue sky, and herself looked at where they were.
Seems they were no longer in clan territory, and now where on the other side of their scared place. Before then was rolling hills of farmland, scattered twoleg nests and beyond that mountains. They had a ways to go for their new home, but maybe now it wouldn't be so bad.
Bounding down the last couple feet of rock to the grass below, she lifted her nose. They should fill up on food before going much further. However, unknown to the raven cat, a twoleg home sat many tree lengths away. With what seemed to be a long haired dog, and it seemed to have caught her black coat. As it stood out against the green grass and grey rock. Too busy sniffing for food, she was turning back to speak to Emberflare. Just as the collie dog was making a stealthy, hunt-run right for the clan she-cat.

Those summer-grass hues widen at Emberflare's call, and nearly tripped over a pebble when she was nudged. Frozen for a moment as she watched the other streak across the grass for the dog. How could she not have noticed? This was such an apprentice mistake! Pineheart looked around her for a place to hide, and in the grey, rocky hill there was a small crack. Big enough for a cat to escape into, and they could probably hide there.
So, the black cat looked back to were the collie dog had it's attention on Emberflare. Thinking it was a game, and he was a toy. "Embeflare! This way!" she called, and then took off for the small crack in the rock wall. With no trees around, and just fields of corn and grass there wasn't much of a choice. She wasn't about to run into the corn and get lost, because the dog probably knew it better than any cat did.

Something in her made her look back to make absolute sure Emberflare was behind her. For some reason she was praying to Starclan that he didn't get seriously hurt. Giving herself an inward shake to clear her thoughts. They were clan cats! They were taught from a kit age to protect each other no matter who it was. That was all it was. There was no way she could care for Emberflare's life after hardly knowing him.
Finally the crack was close, and Pineheart made a dive for it. Completely ignoring the Tom's poorly timed joke. Squeezing her slender frame into the hole then as far back as possible. It was a very small tunnel that was about a couple inches wider than her shoulders. Giving enough room to turn around, but that was about it. It should be big enough to house Emberflare's wide shoulders.
Once as far back as the shadow warrior could get, she turned around with glowing green hues worried. Waiting for the other to make it down safely and soon.

Seeing the other squeeze into the hole, she felt herself relax and backed up as much as she could to give Emberflare as much room as possible. The black cat gave a small nod in agreement. Hearing the dog bark at the hole and scratch at it to try and dig it out. Though thankfully, a twoleg bark came from not far off and grabbed the dog by his collar. Whimpering and crying as he was being dragged.
Pineheart went to touch her nose to the other's back leg, just to let him know it was her, and said, "Good thing that dog had a twoleg, otherwise we would've been stuck here over night," Those green eyes glowed in the dark of the tunnel, while the rest of her blended into the grey stone.

OOC:

IC:
Unable to see past Emberflare, the shadow-pelted warrior had to just trust the other. Once the tomcat moved out of the hole she followed him, but got sort of stuck because her shoulder scraped against the edge of the entrance. Thankful for twolegs for once, she shook out her sleeker coat. Hard to tell if dirt clung to it or not with it being such a dark color.
Some dust did fly off with her shaking, and her spring-grass hues looked to were the dog and twoleg were going. Then she went to walk past the orange tomcat to look out at the fields. Her eyes then locked onto a twoleg place that was about a half a days travel away from them. Sitting on the otherside of a thunderpath, maybe that is were they could go.
As Pineheart stood there, thinking, she then voiced a question seemingly to both Emberflare and no one, "Are we still clan cats?" Her voice seemed off, and distant as she spoke. Now coming to terms with the fact she had no clan anymore. Then Pineheart turned to look at the other, and she seemed a little more lost. The run in with the dog made her realize how..vulnerable they were now. Just the two of them and no one else. No medicine cat to heal them, no back up to send for..nothing but just them. "Should we even have clan names anymore?"

OOC:

IC:
Those ears went back against her small, triangular head. Feeling as though her world was crumbling underneath her paws, and a void was just waiting to swallow her up. The clans were gone. Home was gone. That hurt so much to hear and to face. Everything she knew was gone, and there was nothing she could do to stop it.
Feeling the tomcat sit down beside her made those bright green hues drop to her paws. Pineheart did not want to look Emberflare in the face. The wind was a numb sensation, and she felt herself start to tremor. "The clans are not gone. As long as Starclan stands, the warrior code lives on," she stated with a very shaky voice, like she might cry. "They can't be gone...not after all we have been through and how long they have been around. The clans cannot just dissolve into thin air," She gave a sniffle, and continued, "As long as I live, I will not let the memory of the clans will not fade,"
