(This character's fine, and I'd say the feeling idea.)

    Amelia E. Roosevelt

Amelia is a family oriented person, constantly bugging her twin and older brother with silly questions and tales of heroes. She is quick to judge, rebellious, and pretty strong, but is shy around new people. She covers her shyness by being loud, which usually drives off possible friends, but she has a few close ones. A common misconception is that she is obsessed with looks, but she isn't. Really, it's all about personality. She comes from a rich family, but not very religious. Everyone knows she's biromantic, but few know she's asexual. The biggest secret - however - is that her older brother is the only parental figure in her life.

Jay watched the princess jump around, smirking lightly. Ah, innocence was a lovely thing to watch, in his opinion at least. He had lost his innocence way too young in life when... He'd rather not think about that. He shook his head before waking back to the owner with the box of tools.

He heard the talking going on as Jane - the owner - told him where to put the stuff. At 'soulmate' he glanced up with a mildly confused expression as he set the last thing down. His question was answered when another girl came out.

"Oh, that looks beautiful on you! I don't think I know anyone else who would look as good as you!" Jane complimented. Jay had to agree, but he was caught up looking at the girl. And he knew. He knew this was her - his soulmate.

Amelia was homeschooled, so she had finished the day's work during the weekend when she was bored. Now she had nothing to do, except follow her twin around the square. "Mattie, what do you think my soulmate will look like?" She asked, skipping along beside him.

"I don't know Al, but I'm sure they'll be perfect for you." He answered, shifting a bag so it would stay on his arm. She sighed in response before spotting a store, "Oh! Matt, let's go in there!" The boy in question looked towards where she was pointing, and had to admit it looked like an interesting store. "Alright. Then we're going home."

Jay winked at her when he realized that she had seen him. He figured this wouldn't end well - he was a criminal after all. When her sister started rambling, he was reminded of his own. But his wasn't into the fashion stuff most females liked.

Honestly, he wondered what had happened to her and his mom. But he hadn't been able to find them so he didn't have any clues. "Of course, dear." said Jane, making Jay loose his train of thought. Immediately, the owner went to work, occasionally asking him to pass her something or get some thread.

Jay was used to this, though not when his soulmate was the one getting the dress. He kind of wondered why before remembering all the gossip he had heard from around town about a ball for the youngest royal so she could find her soulmate.

Amelia was now back on the subject of her soulmate as the two slowly made their way to the shop. "Do you think they'll like heroes?" She asked, "Or comics?" Her twin looked at her before saying, "I'm sure the two of you will have similar interests."

She was about to reply, but she felt a sudden longing at her heart. This feeling made her speed up, causing Mathew to chase after her and apologize to the people she had bumped into. The store bell rang as she went inside. Amelia looked at all the supplies and customers, wondering where her soulmate was.

Jay watched the exchange, a part of him wishing he still had family - or friends - to do that with. It was too late for that, he couldn't change the past. He was pleased that his actions had an effect on the princess though. I wonder if she felt it too.

When he glanced back at Noami, he noted that she looked a bit more relaxed with her family gone. He was slightly curious about that, but didn't ask. "It's alright, dear," Jane replied, working as fast as she could without messing up, "many are like that in my store."

"So," Jay started, handing a thing of thread to Jane, "what's the occasion?" If she was his soulmate, they might as well converse, even if he couldn't tell her about his life.

"Matt! Matt!" Amelia basically yelled, "I knew I felt something, Matt! They're here, they really are!" She wasn't looking at him though, she knew that her soulmate was hiding. She felt something drawing her gaze to a rack while her twin was trying to get her to quiet down.

Following this draw, she walked towards the rack, the feeling getting more intense as she went. Amelia fiddled with her pride bracelet as she went so she didn't get overwhelmed. When she reached the girl, she smiled her 'hero smile' as her friends called it. "Hiya! I'm Amelia. What's your name?"

"It's nice to meet you, Hinara!" Amelia said, observing the girl. Mathew once again caught up to her, giving her a look of annoyance. Amelia ignored it, looking at what the girl was holding. Her eyes lit up as Mathew introduced himself.

"I'm sorry if my sister scared you. She doesn't have a lot of control." Amelia stuck her tongue out at him before saying, "You read comics?" It was a bit quieter than how she'd been talking, but many were still looking at them.

"You're welcome, dear." Jane answered, finishing the area and moving to the last. Jay hummed at the answer, barely catching the last bit. "What would happen," He asked, "if you met your soulmate before the ball?"

He didn't mention the last part, handing another spool of thread to Jane as she motioned for it. It would be hard - he thought - to discover whether she felt what he had. If they talked, she would discover his identity, which would most likely end in disaster. For him mostly.

He had always had to deal with trust issues, but his was more extreme. This is mainly why he didn't think she'd be able to keep his identity hidden for long. Honestly, he was lucky Jane hadn't given him away.

"She usually is." Mathew said, smiling slightly. "Sweet!" Amelia cut him off from saying anything else, "My favorite superhero's Captain America! What's yours?" She was bouncing on her feet, excited about finding her soulmate and that she liked action.

Maybe Amelia had been worrying too much - Oliver said she did that a lot. She knew her family would accept her soulmate, but now she was curious - and worried - about how Hinara's family would react.

Jay smiled, a very small one but a smile nonetheless. "Ah." He said when she asked his name, "Well, Noami, I'm-" He thought back to the many names he had, knowing not a lot called him by his real one but she could know "- Jay." He finished. Jane would call him by that anyway, so he shouldn't lie.

"Of course," the owner said, writing something down before setting the supplies to the side. "Alright, all done!" Jay had to admit he was a bit sad that she'd be leaving soon. But it would be safer for her if she wasn't involved with him.

A common misconception is that Jay doesn't care about others, but he actually tries to put others before him. Especially with safety, and now that his soulmate could be in danger it was put to a new extreme.

"Right back at you," He said, letting his lack of manners shine more. He hummed at her question, "Maybe." His mother had always told him off for his vague answers, but, well, she wasn't here to do that.

He looked at the queen as she spoke and stared after her as she left. That would give him more time with Noami at least. He didn't know if that was a good thing, but he guessed it probably was. Besides, life was too short to worry about the negatives in his opinions.

"Perhaps you can decide if I meant anything by it if you come exploring with me?" Jay suggested, glancing back at her. Jane gave him a curious look before coming to her own conclusion and putting things away.

Amelia nodded at her answer, "He's definitely cool!" Mathew watched the exchange quietly, his protective sibling side coming out slightly. Not to say he didn't trust Hinara, but he had a bit more experience with people than his sister. Amelia was too trusting of people and still somewhat innocent. Kind of.

"Amelia," He said quietly, "we should probably get home before Oliver gets worried." Amelia frowned before bouncing again. "Hey, do you have a phone?" She asked excitedly, "We need to keep in touch somehow!"

Jay grinned happily at her answer, his eyes showing childish joy. With practiced motions, he took of his work apron and set it on the counter. Then he motioned for Noami to follow him as he walked out the back door so he didn't have to risk being caught by the guards.

Vaguely, he heard Jane call "Be safe!" after him. She probably knew what he was doing was very dangerous. But Jay was nothing if not a risk-taker. Occasionally he glanced back to see if Noami was behind him as he worked his way through the twisty roads.

(It's fine, I have moments like that too)

"Great, I'll text you later, alright?" Amelia said, still bouncing but not as much as before. Her twin touched her shoulder as she said, "I guess this is goodbye for now!" She waved as Mathew basically dragged her along back home until the little shop was out of sight.

When the two got home, Oliver was by the door, looking worried. "Where were you? I though that would take you a lot less time." He said, mainly speaking to Mathew. "Well Al wanted to go-" "Ollie!" Amelia cut him off, "I found my soulmate, Ollie!"

"Really?" Oliver smiled, sharing Amelia's excitement. "What were they like?" She barely gave her elder brother time to finish his question, "She was really nice! Albeit quiet, though, and she likes heroes! 'Specially DC comics!" Once again - although Matt wasn't sure if she had ever stopped - Amelia was bouncing.

"She sounds wonderful, poppet," Oliver said, "You should invite her over one of these days." She nodded before hugging Oliver and skipping up to her room. Unknown to her, her two siblings spoke a little about her behavior before putting the objects that had been bought away.

Amelia pulled out her phone, and finished up Hinara's contact profile before texting her. Hey! This is Amelia btw! My older bro wanted to see if you'd come over this weekend?

Jay smiled at her statement. "I have that effect," He said, "but I'm curious about you as well." He slowed down as he reached the edge of the forest, glancing up to the top of the trees before nodding to himself. He had a small hideout in one of the trees that wasn't too far in. To him, it would be one of the safest places for them to talk without him being attacked.

That, and they could both see around the entire town from there so Noami could tell when her mother and sister were ready to get her. "Are you going to be able to climb in that thing?" He asked as he located his tree, referencing to her dress.

Amelia giggled happily at the reply before yelling, "Ollie, can she come over tomorrow?" After hearing a faint "That sounds wonderful!" in reply, she sent her answer. Works for us! I can pick you up, if you want?

While she waited for a response, she glanced at her laptop. "I shouldn't work on my schoolwork," She whispered to herself, "if I do, I won't stop. Then I'll have nothing to do while I wait."

Amelia had been slowly reaching for her laptop when her phone buzzed. She bounced lightly as she read the message before typing, Great! See ya tomorrow!

Seeing as she was probably going to give into her desire to work if she didn't do something, Amelia grabbed her radio and set it to play her CD. She turned the volume to a level so she could hear her phone and if someone called her from downstairs, but loud enough so she didn't have to stand right next to it. As the song came one, she stated dancing - copying what she had seen from music videos and the like.

"What can I say, I can be a surprising person." Jay said, a small reference to his reputation with most nobles. He hummed at her answer, before saying, "You should go up first. Just in case you fall."

He took a step away from the tree after pulling a rope that made the ladder fall down. "There. You ready?" He looked back at Noami, thinking about what would happen if she knew who he really was. Nothing good, that he knew, but whether she would accept it or not was something he was worried about.
