Being a prince was hard if you asked me. How I hated the way people looked up to me like I was some kind of god. The guards had gone out to capture some criminal again, leaving me with less company than usual. I stared out my window, a sigh leaving my lips as I thought about the wonders of the world. The guards had been gone for little over 5 hours and I expected they would be back in a little while.

My suspicions had been correct as the group came up the trail a little while later. 'Hm.. Seems they caught someone.' I got up on my feet and started walking towards the entrance gate. Only when I was a few yards away did I realize they had a girl, an unconscious one at that. I waited in my spot till they got to me. "Your Highness, why are you all the way out here?" Asked the leader. I wasn't looking at him, instead the girl sitting slumped on the horse behind him. "Is that who you were after?" I asked ignoring his question. He nodded, slightly confused at my curiousity.

I stared at my old house. "Mom, why are we leaving?" asked my little sister. I shook my head as
I tuned them out. 'No, no, no, no, no!' My head screamed, 'We can't leave! We grew up here!' I was lost in memory as I walked around to take pictures to remember it by, that I didn't realize my family had left already. By the time I had, I couldn't see the car at all. I sighed and searched my coat for my phone. I pulled it out and called my friend, "Hey, I need some shelter..." I said when they had answered.

I glared at the ground as they tried to convince me to go back to the castle, claiming "I might be strong, but people who wanted to kill me were even more so." My caretaker, a short, stubby man, came up running behind me. "Prince Alexander! Why are you out here? You are late for supper!" I sighed before looking up. "I just wanted to see the new convict, I didn't mean to be late." He nodded, accepting my answer, before leading me back to the castle dining room.

I was still kind of mad when I was given the full course meal. I knew, however little grasp it had in my head, why most criminals stole from us or others. But the fact the meals in the cells were worse, and less appealing, than what most commoners got put me on edge. I decided that, when the cost was clear, i would go and find where she was being kept. Mentally nodding at my plan, I went back to eating and discussing things with my parents.

I sighed in relief. "Thanks, Cinder! Don't know what I'd do without you." I said a quick good-bye and hung up. I thanked my lucky stars I had been carrying my stuff and refused to put most of it down. "Ok, Jade, let's go. Mom and Dad will know where I'd go, or they'd call me to find out." I started towards Cindy's house and hummed as I went.

Supper finished quickly, much to my surprise. I excused myself and quickly went up to my room. I sat at the foot of my bed. Grabbing an old cloak, I started planning exactly how I would get down to the cell, after I find it, of course.
An hour or so later, I was ready to go. I went to my door and peaked out of the crack made from opening it. I silently opened the door, before sneaking out of my room. I paused at the creaks and groans the floor was giving me from added pressure. I slowly but surely got down to the entrance of the dungeons. 'Time for part two...' I was ready for a struggle from the guards.

I jumped around the new house. My owners had just bought me, as I was old enough to leave, and had set up a nice, decorated area for me. My bowl already had food and water, and my bed was so fluffy! Wow, these guys are really kind! "Jay!" Called the woman. I looked up and bounded over to her. "Aw, that's my girl!" She cooed as I curled up in her lap.

I was slightly taken back by the presence of a new cat, but then decided to see if the newcomer was a friend. I got up, much to my owners disappointment, and went to the window. It seemed a bit too tall for a window to me and it had a small opening big enough for me to go through. I decided to slip outside and said, "Hi! I'm Jay, what's your name?"
