Well, it's defaintely... Different.
It scared me when I clicked onto the site and then suddenly a whole lot of blue in my face, I thought there was something wrong with the site! Then I remembered you talking about the new skin to come, :3
In my opinion, I think it gives the place a kinda hippy feel, specially the font it uses for the site title. Though on a side note: I think it makes the site look more new and amaturish, if you know what I mean. Thats the kinda downside for me, I think it may warn people off alot, I know I certainly don't like joining new sites.
It's still to grow on me, but for now I will keep it like this, and will decide if I should change or not later C:

"You all better now? You had enough sleep?" Crimsonkit asked, snuggling into her mother. She yawned, as a young kit, she had alot of energy one minute, but the next she was slumped on her side snoring. Her eyes flickered slowly, but still she forced herself to remain awake.

That reminds me, I must ask momma about Shadowclan, maybe I could do it at the Glowing Hollow! She thought. "Are we going now?" She asked, eager to leave as soon as possible.

Crimsonkit let out a squeak as she was pulled to the ground without time to answer her adoptive mothers question. She giggled, and began squirming her way out of Mintkit's grip. "Roar! I'm a big- Uh..." The chocolate tabby stopped mid-sentence, she didn't know of any predators or menacing and scary creatures. She looked up at Moonlightring, hoping for some inspiration.

Some of them you have to pay an amount of your Freshkill for, but most are free, and they will say if they are or aren't, :3

Do you mean, like how do you give someone a code so that they can put, say a picture you did, in their siggie?
If so, then here is an example:
Lets say I made this picture for someone, {I didn't actually make this graphic}
To give someone the code to put in their siggie, I would give them:
[code*][img*]IMG URL HERE[*/url][*/code]
You remove the *'s, and it would show up like this:
The person I was giving the graphic to would select and copy and paste the above.
