The small skunk kit narrowed her beady eyes towards the scene in front of her, lurking in the shadows of the forest. A newcomer, perhaps? Being so young, Pastelkit did not really know of the alliances the clan had or the high positions of any other clan, and so this situation was rather new to her. Unsure of what to say, the youngling silently prowled over to the group of creatures and stood next to one of her clanmates, giving an unsettling look to the traveller as she did so. "Who's that?" she asked, her open-ended question carrying off a little in the breeze.

Head held high with assertive confidence, the young skunk kit strolled over to the group. A meet and greet, it seemed? At the mere age of three moons Pastelkit hadn't managed to catch many names either, so this would certainly be a useful opportunity. "My name is Pastelkit." she called proudly, fluffing up her bushy tail ever-so-slightly. "Pastel is fine, too, so long as I don't hate you." she finished, flashing a peculiar smile. At this current moment she didn't at all dislike anybody here, but she had to make clear that she was nit to be messed with - despite her tiny size compared to most of the creature out these days.

Grooming her thick coat of fur before padding over to the jaguar, Pastelkit sat down amongst the others who were collecting near Hollowpaw. Her coat made her look at least twice her actual size (not that she was particularly big to start with); a trick which she hoped would make her look at least a little less harmless. "Me, please." she stated confidently, trying to act less like a kit and more like an adult. The skunk child may be only just old enough to have started getting out and socialising, but she wanted to prove that she was just as valuable as any other member of the clan.

Surprised slightly at the kind nature of the kit, Pastelkit stood and blinked her small, black eyes. "Oh, thanks." she replied warily, suspicious of the compliment she'd been given. The skunk guessed that maybe she should be thankful for the niceties, but instead it had made her more wary. I like your name, too." she continued, recognising that this was the common thing to do. Pastelkit had just been on her way back from watering her plants, when she had noticed the food and decorations set out. A party? Now this was right up the young skunk's ally. She hadn't really been to a party before, but she knew all about them from various tales she'd heard, and they sounded like excellent fun. Pastelkit was bored. The young skunk had managed to wander off and find a secluded place in camp, where she stretched out and sighed heavily. What was there to do? Brushing her fluffy tail against the base of a tree, Pastel suddenly had an idea: why not practise her special skunk talent? Besides, nobody would be there to smell it, or at least so she hoped. Smiling and nodding to herself confidently, the youngster shuffled her feet and sprayed - oh. Maybe the scent was stronger than she thought.
Panicking slightly, Pastelkit backed away from the tree in disgust. "Ew, god!" she exclaimed, the pungent scent particles flying up her sensitive nostrils like a hoard of stinging bees. Strawberries and sweetness, she thought to herself, attempting to imagine the repulsive scent away. It was a stupid thought, she knew, but... ah. Her wish... it had actually worked!

Breathing a small sigh of relief, Pastelkit blushed and swished her tail as if to disperse the scent. Scanning the area with curiosity, Pastelkit walked over to the slowly assembling group with sure-footed confidence. Was this another one of those party thing? She was busy rushing around checking the soil of each and every shrub, taking care to spritz each and every one that was looking a little dry. Once she was done she slumped her petite little body against the wall of her cell - at least, against the only patch that wasn't occupied with vegetation and flowers. "What to do nowww?" she whined openly, patience wearing thin. Why was she so bored? There must be something to do.

At the sudden sound of Xeryus' voice, Pastel's head snapped up with hope. "Xeryus!" she grinned, delighted to have company on such a lonely occasion. When the ghost had voiced his first question, the youth had panicked slightly: what was she really doing? Would she have to make something up, keep up her impression of being interesting? The next question make her relax again. "Honestly... nah, not really." she replied with a sheepish smile, wondering what she could do to make things more fun. "I was just watering my little garden, but I'm pretty much finished now. Would you like to, yknow, maybe go do something?" she asked excitedly, wondering what the two could go get up to.

Taken aback a little with the news, Pastelkit's eyes widened with thought for a but. That was her brother? He didn't seem particularly friendly, if this was indeed him being his usual self.
