[align=center]Carter looked down as Wendy added a design around the already dried arrow. His eyes lit up even more, his heart feeling like it would explode from the happiness he felt. He was very excited, for now it looked even cooler. He grinned wide at Wendy, letting her know he loved it, absolutely loved it. But as soon as he felt Wendy's fingertips graze over his scars, he got a shameful look and quickly yanked down his sleeve. He glanced away, hugging himself as to keep his arms near him.

Dean eyed Carter before glancing at Natasha "Not bad.." He commented on her suggestion "That is if he can do it.." He muttered afterwards, making sure everyone knew that he wasn't all happy for this group, in fact, he was still slightly wishing a horde of zombies would kill them off at any second. Dean crossed his arms and huffed "Well..? Are we going to keep talking about this store or are we going to start walking?"

    .:Kumi:.
Kumi was a princess, yes, that was usually a conversation starter, that is if she was ever allowed beyond the castle walls. She was rarely allowed amongst the commoners, though being the rebellious person she was, she often snuck out under cover of night to interact with the common folk. She enjoyed seeing all kinds of cultures, practices, anything than that giant, boring, confining castle. As of now, she was stuck there, once again trapped by those walls. Night was approaching, just a few more hours and dark will have fallen across the desolate land. Kumi paced the courtyard, her shoes echoing across the stones and bouncing off the walls, returning to her own ears, proving just how alone she really was.

But- Wait, what was that noise she thought she heard? Small footsteps? Surely not, nobody but the guards and her father were allowed past the castle walls. But if that was the case..then who was making that soft noise? Kumi, being the curious, adventurous girl she was, she advanced towards the noise, peering around the bushes that lined the walls. Her eyes landed upon the being before her, her eyes getting wider the longer she looked. Wow, it was rare something like this got inside the walls "Why hello..." She said softly, tilting her head. It seemed she didn't understand at first. Her voice came soft, flowing like silk. Her clothing Ruffles in the wind, her hair following the current of it.

    (Sorry it's so short!)

[align=center]Carter hung behind with Wendy, even though he knew he would fall far behind anyways, his slow limping would result in it taking days to reach the store. It was sad, but true, and he hated that he delayed everyone with everything he did. It was obvious he was ashamed, but he didn't want to speak up, maybe he couldn't, that was still undetermined.

Dean groaned "Finally! Let's get going!" He said as he starts walking, automatically taking the lead before he realized one small detail...he had no idea where he was going.

[align=center]It was rare that something so magnificent and beatuiful as a fox found its way inside these castle walls, in fact, it was quite shocking to Kumi, who was still gazing in awe at the creature. She looked around quickly, making sure no guards were around. It this animal were to bite her, they would shoot it, if they saw, thus why she made sure she was alone. The last thing she wanted was this animal being killed for simply being an...animal. She bent down, holding out her hand as it seemed to sniff at her curiously. She smiled faintly, her eyes glittering as she did so. "You're a sly creature..the lure is true.." She mused, giggling softly, a sound so dainty that it seemed such a sound should belong to a flower, or a fawn.

"How did you get past the guards..? Huh? There must be a hole back there.." She mused, glancing behind the fox before she dared to reach out and touch its head. Yes, it was a rather dumb thing to do considering it was supposedly a wild animal, but being as Kumi was a brave soul, and she found the animal before her very fascinating, she never thought about the danger that it might bring her if she was to touch such a wild animal. But to her, it seemed it wasn't so wild, considering it came out and willingly neared her, and sniffed her scent. Kumi gently petted th fox as their eyes seemed to meet.

[align=center]It was almost magical, this moment was. Not many people could say they petted a wild fox, let alone the princess herself. She was sure that if she wanted it bad enough and begged hard enough, somebody somewhere would bring her her very own fox, but it wouldn't be wild, and it wouldn't be special like this moment was. Kumi knew all this, yet she wasn't one to be spoiled. In fact, she dispised the snotty noses royals that always complained and whined about trivial things like riches and jewelry. Kumi herself wasn't big in flashy things, the dress she was in now was smothering her, and she couldn't wait until night fell when she could slip into the towns square in the clothes she liked to wear.

Just when the moment was reaching its peek, just when the fox seemed to be enjoying her petting instead of being shocked by it, a loud blast was heard. Such the blast it was, it echoed through the regions, warning those anywhere nearby that something horrible was happening. A bomb? A nuclear blast? What had happened? Kumi flinched at the noise, her eyes wide as she gazed towards the castle doors. Just when she was about to stand and hurry away to talk to one of the guards, she heard something. A voice..? No, it couldn't be, there was nobody nearby except her and- The fox..The fox had spoken. Kumi's mouth dropped open and she staggered back, only to fall onto her backside, dirtying her dress. Her brown eyes widened, her mouth hung open just barely "Wh-Wh...." She stammered, unable to speak.

    Killian Jones||Twenty-Five

[i][color=white]Killian was a wild child, always had been. As a boy he would steal trinkets from the market place near his hut of a home where he and his family lived. They never had much, resulting in Killian stealing most of their needed items, such as blankets, food, and clothing. All that stealing eventually led up to his arrest when he was thirteen years old. After a few months of staying locked up, he finally made a bold escape. This was something new for him, now he was a wanted boy.

Since Killian couldn't return home, as that would mean putting his family in danger, he fled. Eventually he made his way to the port where a large ship was docked. Aboard that ship happened to be pirates docking for supplies. He snuck aboard, desperate to be taken away from his home land. He didn't want to be caught again. It worked, and the shop eventually set sail. It wasn't long before Killian was discovered. By that time he was half starved, his limbs nothing more than sticks. Impressed by his loyalty to staying hidden, the captain made him cabin boy.

Eventually Killian made his way up the ranks, going from cabin boy, to second in command. Life was going good on the seas, and Killian was proving to be quite the little pirate. By the time Killian was eighteen, a enemy ship attacked the ship he had been staying on for all those years. It was a horrible day, resulting in every single one of the crew members dying, including the captain. The only one that survived was Killian, only because he cowarded and hid, saving himself below decks.

Killian was found days later amongst the reckage by a market merchant. There, he was nursed back to health. The second he was able to be on his feet, Killian ran, fleeing from the merchant and his kind home in the middle of the night. That day he discovered that he wasn't cut out for normal living, he was meant to be on the seas, a pirate. Eventually Killian found his own ship, and recruited his own crew. It wasn't long before he was known as Captain Jones.

The name spread as his fame grew, along with the fearsome title he carried. Fear spread amongst those who heard the name. Towns, villages, ports, everyone knew of Captain Killian Jones. He was a horrifying man that took mercy on nobody. And that's where he got to where he was now, docking at a port so that he could get more supplies before he was off again. Killian Jones walked off the ship and onto the dock, his blue eyes scanning the town ahead as he walked.

"Let's go boys! I heard there is a mighty good bar here.." Killian claimed as he walked along, his boots thudding against the boards below him. Bellows from the men were heard in the ship as they climbed down after their captain, excited to get more rum, a famous drink known amongst pirates. What Killian didn't know was that a certain girl would be meeting him at the bar later that night.

Night struck, and Killian and his crew were all gathered around the bar, drinking and laughing, toasting to their safe travels out of the port later that night, considering they had gathered everything they needed during that same day. That's when he heard it. Killian heard a girl's voice, seemingly directed towards him. "And who's asking..?" He said in a slightly sassy tone, the men around him snickering at their captains response to the girl that stood beside the table, seeming to want to gain answers.

    OOC: Hope this is okay..!

[align=center]The princess had so many questions running through her mind at the current moment in time. What had she drank that made her able to hear the fox speak? Was she poisoned? No, maybe it wasn't any of the things she digested earlier that day, maybe she was just going completely insane. Her mouth stayed hung open slightly, her eyes focused on the fox before her, eyes still huge. "Y-You...Y-You can talk?!" She stammered out, obviously wanting to learn more from the fox before her. Yet another crash, followed by more screams. Her eyes left the fox and focused towards the pillar of smoke that was rising from the decaying town. Her home was being destroyed. "W-What's going on..?! Do YOU have anything to do with this..?" Questions started flying out of her mouth before she was even conscious of it.

Then it happened. The fox before her was no longer a fox, but quite the handsome young man. He was not normal by no means, and not just because she had seen him turn from an ordinary fox to a man. No, he had ears and a tail poking out from his body, causing her to be even more shocked. So the rumors were true, all the myths she had heard, stories she had read. These creatures actually existed. "Y-You're a.." Before the words could leave Kumi's mouth, her arm was grabbed, she was pulled to her feet, and suddenly she was against this strangers chest, being held tightly. "H-Hey...! Wh-What are you doing..?!" She let out a small squeak as they seemingly flew over the castle wall "Where are you taking me...?!"

[align=center]Dean simply huffed and looked away, crossing his arms, continuing his tough act "I..know where I'm going..! It's.." He glanced towards the direction Winter was headed and nodded that way "Thata way.." He said indignantly, lifting his head up a little higher. He sheepishly glanced at Natasha before huffing slightly "And don't call me that.." He shifted slightly, seeming to really not like being called that, whether it be for trying to keep his tough act and leadership stance high, or other reasons.

Even with Wendy's broken leg, she still moved faster than Carter did. He struggled along, sometimes not even stepping with his bad leg and simply hopping a few steps before stumbling back into his slow pace. He was always in the back, always behind everyone. He wasn't fast enough to keep up. It shamed him to have slowed them down so much, in fact, he was just glad Wendy and Ivy were alive. He would have never forgiven himself if they had died simply because he was too slow to make it there. Carter stumbled and limped along to the best of his ability. His eyes darted to Wendy as he felt her hand squeeze his, before she let go, he returned the squeeze. She was smiling..oh what he would do to read that pretty mind of hers.

[align=center]Somewhere safe...? Those words were all that were spoken to Kumi, but she wasn't stupid. Somewhere safe meant that where she was now was unsafe, meaning everyone and everything was in danger of being destroyed next. "M-My father.." She uttered before she quickly tried to struggle away from the strange mans grip "L-Let me go! Wait...!! My father is back there..!" She began to beat at Michi's chest when she realized he wasn't going to stop. "Let me go NOW..! We can't leave him..!" She wailed as she furiously tried to get free, but it was no use.

Eventually Kumi stopped beating on the man's chest and finally just went limp in his grip, silent sobs shaking her shoulders. She knew her father was dead, along with every guard, every maid, every towns folk she often enjoyed meeting after the sun had set. Everything she' had ever know, just gone within an instant. Her whole world was crushed, her heart taken with it. Though she wasn't one to cry in front of others, resulting in her biting her lip hard enough to cause it to bleed. She clenched her fists, and when the man finally set her down, she stood there, fists clenched, lip bleeding, eyes watering.

The look on Kumi's face could make a man wet himself. She bore not a look of sorrow, but of anger. Though the tears in her eyes hinted at sadness, her features refused to betray that. She stared Michi down with a burning passion before she turned towards the ruins of the town before her. A single tear escaped her eyes before she quickly wiped it away. She had no words to offer, no, if she tried to speak her voice would betray her emotions.

[align=center]Kumi couldn't even think straight. The only thought running through the girls head was the fact that her father, along with her entire village, was dead. Her tongue gently licked her bottom lip, clearing the blood from it as she stood there, watching the fire blaze and the screams carry on. She refused to let another tear slip, in fact, she turned away from the man that took her so she wouldn't be at risk of him seeing her tears. Though none fell, it was always better safe than sorry. Why? Kumi had so many whys running through her head, it wasn't funny. The princess kept her fists clenched, her dress blowing in the breeze as she stood there watching the fires lick at the sky above. Why did the man before her save her? Out of everyone there, why save the princess? Did he want money? Fame? She didn't know, all she knew was that she felt utterly alone.

Move..? Was that all he had to say for taking her away from her home, the only thing she's ever known. "I will-! H-Hey..!" She exclaimed again as suddenly he was holding her close again, moving her aside as if something was about to come and squash her. But, something almost did, something dangerous. A small gasp escaped her soft, yet firmly set lips. Yet another one of these creatures, these living myths. But something was different about this one, this one was bloody and held a large sword over his shoulder. Her eyes widened as she heard this man speak of how there were supposed to be no survivors. Michi.. So that's the man's name, the man that apparently saved her life.

Kumi blinked, mouth opening slightly as the man threatened her "N-Now wait a minute...I-I'm the princess you can't.." She stopped, relaxing that her father was the king, but that obviously didn't save his life from this murderer. Her eyes locked on the sword that was pointer at her, causing her to stiffen, and suddenly she didn't mind behind so close to Michi. She desperately moved back, inching closer to him like a child would her mother, even trying to get behind him. She didn't want to die, at least not now. She had a lot of life to live, she had so much more to see, to do. Then again, her world as she knew it had been changed forever..maybe it wouldn't be so bad to go ahead and die, but here she was, trying to hide against Michi.

[align=center]What unfolded next was something Kumi was not expected. The stranger, that she had literally just met, yet had no idea that this man had been watching her before hand and was almost familiar with her, was protecting her from the crazy man in front of them. This man, he wanted to kill her, that was sure, and given the chance, he would. For a split second, she was afraid that Michi would move, that he would simply step aside, seeing her as something not worth getting into a fight with somebody who seeemd to be an old friend. No, in Kumi's mind she wasn't somebody worth fighting over, yet here Michi stood, obviously not willing to budge an inch. He stayed like a strong shield in front of her, guarding her like she was some precious jewel. But why? This was beyond Kumi's imagination, thus she didn't want to think too hard on it, as of now, the demon with the sword was just inches away, and seemed set on killing her. She wondered if they were all like that man..but that couldn't be true, considering there was Michi.

Kumi moved back slightly as Osao neared even closer, causing a tiny whimper to escape her. Yes, Kumi was a strong, brave, tough young woman who didn't like anybody seeing her scared or weak, but in this point in time, with a man inches away wanting more than anything to stab her through, she couldn't help but give off a few signs that she was scared, terrified even. Yet still, the kitsune did not leave her, he stayed planted in front of her, willing to guard her with his life it seemed. Yes, his life, now the man in front of them was threatening Michi, threatening to...kill him. Kumi didn't want that, not only would that mean her own death, but he would have died protecting her, which was something she wasn't sure why he would do, yet here he was, that fate a very real possibility.

Wife....? Mate..?! Michi's words struck her much like Osao's sword would. It even felt similar. She got a sick feeling in her gut, and her heart began to race, skip a few beats even. With butterflies in her stomach and her heart beating out of her chest, the princess stared at the man she had personally just met and who happened to be a mythical creature in her eyes. Michi...claimed that she was his wife, his mate. She wanted to cry out, wanted to say "Now wait a minute..!" But by the look on Osao's face, this statement had stopped him from advancing, had made his sword waver, his gaze turn from pure fury to pure shock. So..with Kumi wearing the title of this man's wife..his..mate, it meant she was protected from the others that may want to kill her as well.

Kumi had to bite her tongue as she stared at Michi with wide eyes, that was until she couldn't make eye contact anymore. Suddenly, she was being held against his chest again, hugged quite tightly and quite close to him. Her cheeks turned red and her eyes got wider. She swallowed hard, forcing herself to wait until Osao had left. She even wrapped her arms around Michi in return to make it even more beileveable that she was his...mate. When the angry demon did leave, Kumi quickly pushed Michi away, stumbling back "Wife..?! Mate..?! No..No No No No!" She pointed an accusing finger at Michi "You're a...I DONT REALLY KNOW..BUT..I'm a princess! And I don't..I can't..!" She started going off on some ramble about how all this was wrong and how she wished she could return home and..well it was all one big ramble that ended up with her stomping her foot and clenching her fists like an angry child, all while she made quite the cute facial expressions..even though she attempted to be angry.

[align=center]Kumi was only further angered as she saw how cool and collected he was. Though it was strange how he always seemed to be calm...too calm at that. She didn't know how he remained nonchalant while he was being threatened, she also didn't know why he saved her. In fact, she didn't know a lot of things about the man that technically saved her life, other than the fact that his name was Michi. Kumi crossed her arms over her dirtied dress that was still being ruffled by the wind. She was pouting slightly as she watched the ground, still in a fitful manner. She had to bit her lip again when she heard the fox speak about the things he put up with. Oh..she would show him what he put up with alright..

Though she had a fiery spirit, Kumi didn't ignite all of it, at least not yet. It was obvious this girl was going to be stubborn with a lot of things, rude even, but there seeemd to be more about the princess then what she dare show. Kumi lifted her head as Michi neared, her eyes narrowing slightly as she locked eyes with him to price that she was no minor, even though now she was completely out of her comfort zone, out of the only world she knew. Her eyes burned with determination, but it faultered at his words. "I-I know that..!" She snapped lightly, her eyes darting away for a moment "But my father never would have given me away to a...a.." It seemed she didn't know what to call him, so, she crossed her arms, puffed out her cheeks slightly, something she didn't realize she did when she was angry, and said with a sharp tone "An animal..that's what you are.."

Though Kumi's words were harsh, her eyes showed that she wasn't sure how Michi would react to such an insult, and though half of it was true, at least in Kumi's eyes, she knew that the man was more than likely to simply shrug it off..then again, maybe he would get protective of himself, just like she had witnessed him be protective over herself. Kumi watched the ground as he told her she was free to do as she wanted. That she knew she would take him up on the offer for, yet..where would she go? She had no personal belongings, let alone clothes and food, she didn't even have a roof over her head. She inhaled deeply and narrowed her eyes at Michi. She exhaled before frowning "Fine..but ONLY because I have no other choice.." She decided the best thing would be to stick with the man that showed he could protect her..and possibly care for her. Kumi didn't show it, but she was grateful for him.

[align=center]Kumi could see that Michi wanted to test her, and she was glad that he didn't. She was close to slapping him anyways. He had such a smart air about him, it made her want to hit him sometimes, but seeing as he would probably just dump her right then and there, leaving her to ultimately end up dying, the princess decided it was best if she kept the peace so to speak. She glanced up at him, considering that he was a couple inches taller, if not a foot. She was rather short, and this man seemed rather tall, at least compared to her. She stood up a little straighter so she wouldn't be so tiny that he could joke about it.

Kumi moved forward one step, then tilted her head. Was he..going to laugh? Surely not, he wouldn't dare. She bit her lip and clenched her fists, once again. She was not a very happy person to say the least, in fact, after what had happened and the events of the day, she had a right to be upset, sobbing been, but she wasn't. Even with all the weight of today's events on her shoulders, she continued on with a stern look, refusing to be upset. If she must, she would cry alone to herself..if she ever did get alone. This man seemed..distant yet at the same time protective and clingy. It was odd.

The princess continued on, starting after the fox. Her eyes watched him, not wanting to lose him. After all, their kind was known for their agility. She trekked along behind him, her beatuiful dress now dirty and dragging the ground. She didn't even bother picking it up. She looked miserable, and she must feel miserable. She had just witnessed her people be murdered, and she still didn't know why this man saved her. She paused, breaking the silence finally "Why..why did you rescue me..? I mean of everyone there..why me?"

[align=center]Kumi realized very quickly that Michi wasn't going to hold back from her, at least not with this small bit of information. In fact, he was very blunt with it. She frowned slightly, glancing down. Ah, so she wasn't special, she just happened to be in the right place at the right was the story of her life. She wasn't born a princess, she was simply adopted into the family, once again, the right place at the right time. This was also the reason She was so fascinated with peasant life, considering she used to be one. Though she never confessed this to anyone, she always felt like she never quite mattered.

She took a deep breath and simply walked on, trailing after Michi. "I see.." She said silently. Her eyes stayed focused on the fox before her. Kumi watched his tail move, watched his ears. It was odd, but she seemed to be getting used to it. She kept her eyes closed for a moment before she opened them and gave one last look back at her ruined city, her dead friends, family. She sighed, shaking her head and forcing her eyes to focus ahead dispite what was running through her head.

Kumi's eyes widened as Michi suddenly stopped and moved towards her. She stopped and started to move back, as if she was afraid she had said something wrong, had made him angry. She stopped, pausing when suddenly she was swept off the ground. "Wh-Wh.." She started, eyes widening slightly. What was he doing..? The look in his eyes right before he picked her up..was that pity? Kumi was stunned, as suddenly she was being held bridal style in his arms, which was slightly ironic. Michi was holding her, causing Kumi's white dress to gracefully fall over his arms and hang lightly above the ground.

[align=center]Kumi once again found her cheeks heated up. She couldn't help it, she was so close to him, and this was the second time today they had gotten this close, probably three times. In fact, she had lost track of how many times he had held her close, and she had just met him. Bold. That was one word Kumi could use to describe Michi, her new found...well, husband. It was odd saying in it her head, something she definitely would not repeat out loud. She hoped maybe she would be saved from this somehow, but then again, Michi was only doing to to save her, to keep her from somebody who would be all too happy to kill her. If she gave any hint that Michi had lied and that she really wasn't his bride...it could mean certain death for her..and for Michi. She frowned, glancing down, but her attention was turned back to the fox when he uttered three words. She didn't question him this time, she simply shut her mouth and wrapped her arms around his neck, holding on as he suddenly picked up the pace, going faster than any human possibly could.

It wasn't long before a temple came into view, something Kumi wasn't used to seeing in her own city. This temple was beautiful. At least in her eyes. Of course she wouldn't voice that opinion out loud, just in case Michi thought she was going soft. Yet, her eyes betrayed her feelings as she was put down, her hand taken in Michi's own hand. She decided that jerking away in front of everybody wouldn't be smart, thus she simply gripped his hand and hurried behind him, practically being dragged considering her legs were short than his long ones, plus he was simply more speedy than the princess. She wanted nothing more but to get out of her dress, maybe even go bare foot. Her shoes were killing her.

"Thanks..." This was all Kumi said in reply to his words, and though she didn't say anything, she was slightly worried about the fox that had saved her life. He wasn't looking so good, maybe all the events of the day had worn him out, it sure had worn her out, that much she did know, so she knew Michi must be exhausted, his energy drained. Kumi took one look around the room and knew she would have to spice it up some if she was going to be staying with this man. The walls were very bare, and nothing really caught her eye. Dull, that was a word she could use to describe it all. She looked towards the mat, then back at where Michi had gone.

OOC: Yes yes he is...Shhhh...he is amazing ;)

[size=8]Killian had a rum bottle in one hand, the other hand resting on the table, showing off some rather dazzling rings. They were quite impressive, yet screamed that they had been taken, that part was obvious. Anything on these pirates was probably stolen at some point. Killian wasn't sure why the girl came to his table, and why she spoke as if she wanted something, in fact, he knew she did, why else would she be here? Unless she was attracted by his good looks, which happened often. Many girls wanted a piece of the action and adventure he had to offer, but he was always the active one, seeking girls out for himself, never waiting for them to come to him. He was charming like that, yet bold and rash.

Everything fell silent, in fact, the entire bar turned its attention to the corner booth where Killian and his crew were. All eyes were on them, and the girl that stood at the end of their table, calling the most feared captain of all an idiot. Killian's own eyes turned to the girl that dare have the audacity to call him such a thing, though it didn't hurt him one bit, it took him by surprise. He slowly stood up, settling his rum bottle aside on the table "Listen here.." He said softly, his eyes gazing at the girl "Last time I checked..my ship wasn't a cruise for anyone to board at their own free will.." His words came out cool and collected, though their impact was rough.

Killian's crew simply chuckled at this, some even banging lightly on the table as if agreeing with the captain. Killian simply grinned, spurred on by his crew. "There is nothing you could give me to allow me to let you board my ship..a pirates life isn't for petty royals.." He moved closer to her own face as he said this, his eyes seeming to pierce into her very soul. One of the crew members, an older gentleman, well, far from one, piped up "A royal..? Doesn't royals have..." He paused, and another member spoke "Money..? Riches..?" Killian tensed and glared back at them, his eyes narrowing slightly. "Can't you see she's a runaway..?! She's got nothing to offer.." He spat, his eyes locking on Cyra again. What he spoke he believed was truth, but a small part of him hoped she did have money to offer, or something of that sort. After all, it wouldn't take much to sway him into letting a beautiful woman to travel on his ship with him.

[align=center]Carter had his head hung as he walked, no, what he was doing could not be classified as walking, he was barely getting along. He watched the stones pass by on the path they were taking, or the roots that stood in his way, causing him to slow even more to get over them. When he heard Wendy speak up, he realized she was purposely going slow, just for him. He gazed at her, blinking slightly as she spoke, saying just how good he was. Carter simply smiled faintly, giving a slight nod, showing that he agreed that Dean wasn't so bad, even if he did do horrible things. Carter blushed as she promised not to leave him behind, waving his hand sourly at her as if to assure her that wasn't needed, yet his hand went out to hold hers.

Dean was still pretending like he knew where he was going, but really he was watching Winter. It was obvious he liked to pretend he had everything under control, yet in reality, he was just as lost as a child would be in a situation like this, but he was prepared to fight. He had his sword ready in his hand, his eyes darting from side to side. That's when he caught Natasha's look. "Alright...who did you lose..?" He asked her, flat out addressing her issue as if he had read her mind. "I know that look you've got in your eye..."
