This is an archived version of FeralFront. While you can surf through all the content that was ever created on FeralFront, no new content can be created.
If you'd like some free FeralFront memorabilia to look back on fondly, see this thread from Dynamo (if this message is still here, we still have memorabilia): https://feralfront.com/thread/2669184-free-feralfront-memorabilia/.

Yo so this is mainly a plot for me and my real life cousin and my real life sister, since we may make an IC family. But feel free to post here if you are interested!

    Dittoing Sleenk, I love Stormclan!
They seem pretty friendly to me, and I think they are pretty slow, but they are on the frontboard so they are probably closer to medium-paced. They currently have a plot going on that is pretty much wrapping up soon: first, they got hit by a plague. Then, they got hit by a tornado. Now they are working on leaving and finding a new territory. I am not very active on this site though, so idk how things are going specifically there, but I have always found it to be a fun place to rp. :3

Recently, a lot of prices on things have been changed. I know the economy is getting revamped and stuff. If you have previously purchased a custom pelt, I'd imagine you could keep using it. Otherwise, I'd guess that it is no longer free. If staff changes their mind and makes it free again, or if the price change was a mistake, I'm sure they will refund you.

Well, just in case, I'm going to contact Dynamo, since there was never an announcement made canceling those things and the guide was not changed. I know everyone is working very hard to improve the economy system on feral front, but I payed $50 of my hard earned money and these things were promised to me, and now without warning they have been denied. I know this is not your fault and I shouldn't shoot the messenger, so I'm just going to talk to Dynamo to confirm this. Thank you!

    Question

    My Suggestion

Should humans be playable? No, I do not think humans should be playable in the main game, except as "NPCs" to further plots or for back stories. An example of this is a deer character who was shot in the leg by a hunter before the roleplay began. Basically, humans should only be able to be roleplayed in memories, as reincarnated characters (since many characters are reincarnations of humans) or in AUs.
Why don't humans currently exist in the world of FeralFront? Back during the living legends, the animals of Feralfront basically went to war with the humans. (after all, what human wouldn't be terrified if giant fire-breathing dragons started appearing by the thousands). The humans lost this war, and have retreated into underground bunkers and the like. The animals of this world don't wish to lose any more lives to the battle against humans, and as long as humans stay out of the animals' way, the animals will not typically search for and hunt down humans. I think it would be interesting if we allowed this "rule" to be broken, though. For example, I know the dominion was, at least at one point, famous for hunting down humans and being an anti-human clan. It would be interesting if clans like these were still allowed to go on "human hunts", while also keeping in mind my above suggestion for whether humans should be playable or not.
What should the world/land of FeralFront be called? The feral frontier, or feral front. I have to reasons for this. 1.) Everyone up until now has referred to the world as "feralfront" because that is the site's name, and it would be easier for newcomers if we continued this. 2.) The name itself fits. A frontier for feral animals.
What grants the creatures of FeralFront the ability to use powers / abilities / magic? This world exists on an alternate universe to our own. Although Feralfront is very similar to Earth, it is not the same. many of the landmarks still exist, since they are used by our characters. But since it isn't exactly earth, some things are different, including the presence of powers. Since characters can be reincarnated and possessed and the like, I think it would make sense that this world consists of a much stronger spiritual energy than our current real-life earth. The presence of this "spiritual energy", if strong enough, can create the phenomenon known as "powers".
Should they be called abilities, powers, or magic? I think this is mainly a question that should be answered ICly. Characters will have their own opinions of what these things are. They aren't fancy shmancey scientists (well, most of them aren't) and they aren't exposed to OOC information. OOCly, I think they should be referred to as powers, but calling it "magic" or something of the like shouldn't really be frowned upon. Like the politically correct term would be powers, but it would also be accepted for someone to call it magic, just as long as on official guides and stuff it is referred to as powers to prevent confusion.
If I were to change one other thing about the world of FeralFront, it'd be... I'd like to see a stronger connection between staff and members. Things have been certainly improving, but it is far from perfect. More things like these where members have the ability to offer more input is great. I think one of the main arguments against this is that it would take significantly longer to hear the views of feralfront's members. However, I don't think that is a bad thing. It wouldn't kill us to spend another week deciding something, especially if it is a major decision, as long as it isn't a coding emergency.

Thank you for the consideration, Dynamo and Staff!

That sounds good! So I'm guessing the circumstances that bring the characters together depends on the types of characters. I will probably play a male Pokemon breeder that likes to travel the world, but isn't a fan of Pokemon battles.

Disaster tends to bring people together. Perhaps team rocket, or another team, could temporarily steal their Pokemon. Then the characters would have to work together to save their Pokemon and would maybe become friends in the process.
Or perhaps they are all coincidentally traveling through the same cave, and the cave partially collapsed and they have to work together to escape.

offensive. Not just lowkey offensive but TRIGGER WARNING offensive. Not only that, but they choose to make racist/homophobic remarks (which is mostly because they think they're funny). It also has the I-don't-give-two-shxts attitude. However, despite their vulgar attitude, they're truly dying inside hurt by everything and have extreme depression, trust issues, etc,. Their coping mechanism is basically just making *ed up statements and jokes. I'm pretty sure this would be extremely risky to rp--especially because it lives off of stereotypes.

YES YES YES NUMBER ONE PLEASE
I love boondocks lol. I once made my character, Ratchetpaw, based somewhat off of a Pimp Named Slickback and Riley. Now she goes by Xenia. Anyways, definitely this. XD

I'm assuming you mean main game:
    Tasmanian devil
    Wolf
    Dragon - small (cat size)
Dragon - large (for battles when I played a character that was physically OP but emotionally and mentally a wreck lol; whale size)
    Demon
    Cat
    Ocelot
    Gargoyle
    Falcon
    Phoenix
    Dodo bird
    Amoeba
    Salmon
    Several types of lizards

    Outside the main game:
    Humans
    Pokemon

I think it would be nice if you did everything you said for the poll, but don't limit it to just one. If you work hard, why not let your character have more than one element?

My main problem, though, is that in our pm messages you made it seem that I would be safe spending my tokens on elemental powers. However, you are clearly planning on drastically changing elemental powers. I understand why you are changing the powers, but I feel a bit lied to.

I just had an idea to help offset the "over powered characters" issue that seems to be the reason for these questions.
How about each power and each body is worth a certain amount of points. And a character at any given time can only have 20 points. So a giant dragon with no powers might be almost at the 20 point limit, and an ant with elemental powers, telepathy, teleportation, and venomous fangs would also be close to the limit.
There are a lot of drawbacks with this though. It would be very confusing for newcomers. Also, shape shifting would be confusing. Like the ant character above might be 20 points, and then they shift into a giant dragon, making them 25 points or something. So now what? Do they disable a power, perhaps due to fatigue? Does this mean you can purchase all of the powers but only use up to 20 points per post?

Yeah, I totally understand. XD Even though it's in character, it can make people feel pretty uncomfortable.

wtf is boondocks please tell me

It's a TV series (comedy with some action) about a couple of black kids living with their grandfather in a primarily rich and white neighborhood. Throughout the series, the grandfather is trying to impress the stereotypical rich white folks. The kids spend their time with different things; one boy is the "stereotypical black kid from a bad neighborhood" and the other tries to sort of break the stereotypes I guess? it's hard to explain. It is pretty vulgar and if you think you may be offended by this stuff, you probably will be. But it's a great show and really makes you think about stereotypes and stuff.

I'm pretty sure it's on Adult Swim. And I'm positive it's on Netflix (that's where I watched it :3 )
It features a lot of cursing, drugs, alcohol, smoking, some prostitutes, racism, and anything similar.
