They liked it! They liked it! Conekit beamed with pride. His little tail poofing up. A broad grin stretched his face and he laughed with them. He had plenty of jokes to come.
"Sure do! What did the cyprus say to the willow? Quiet! Leaf me alone! You're always weeping!" Conekit giggled. This one wasn't as good bit hey! He had to start somewhere.
"I have a better one! Why did the turtle fall down the mountain? Well it was the quickest way to the bottom!" Conekit snorked, was that a word? It was kinda like a snort and giggle. A sniggle? Oh well, whatever it was it was loud and only made the kitten laugh harder.

Gone. Mama and Sister. Gone. Conekit was so young that death was a stranger. His little body tottled towards camp's edge. He found two pretty flowers. His mother had been neglectful and didn't love him. But that was okay. His sister was cruel and selfish. But that was okay. Everyone made mistakes right? He was smiling again, bouncing like nothing happened. He found his memory spot and lay the flowers down. He smiled at the bark. His mama Jewelpelt and his sister Timberkit. They would always be remembered right? The little kit startled to tremble. Right? He'd be okay right? Or would he see them soon? His head bowed. Was it too late already?

Conekit heard someone talking. Pennyroyalkit! Ah, he remembered her. His siblings had been scatteted. It felt like most of them were gone. He never saw his dad either. Conekit cracked a smiled onto his muzzle. The red tabby could only smile best he could with mist forming in his eyes. "B-Bluebell and Daffodil. I love how they smell. Do you like them? I could get you some too. We could p-pick...yeah...pick a few. Maybe a warrior could come with us a-and..."
Conekit felt warmth spread over him. Now he couldn't stop the tears. His muzzle trembled, byt the smile stayed on. His chest fell in a shaky fashion. He felt so alone. But he always had Stone and Bark. "H-Hey sis. Wanna come too? We can....we can pick flowers together right? Maybe put them in each others fur. I heard an elder say they found a huge patch of holly once."
He sounded like he was gripping onto the side of a cliff. One wrong word and he'd tumble into the darkness. He faked being normal. It made his siblings laugh. Laughter made it okay. Laughter could hide pain. It worked well enough for Conekit.

"Waterin' where the watet comes from? Heard it comes from the sky! Like when it rains. Don't wanna delta a bad paw but the older warriors are probably right. Streaming about it won't be much use- okay okay I'm done with the puns-" Conekit giggled a plopped down beside the two sisters. He liked she-kits more. They talked about cool stuff. Tom-kits usually pushed him into the dirt.
"Wanna see something cool?" Conekit asked. Before he could get an answer he stuck his paw deep into the water and spiked up the fur on his neck and head. He looked silly! Hopefully enough to make the other two giggle.

Conekit didn't feel like sunshine and pebble glimmers today. The little tom moved out of the nursery anyway to look at the sky. The sky was pink right now and, he could clearly spot some blue poking out. A feather from Lavenderkit's meal rolled out onto the ground. He batted it, until it landed squarely on his forehead. He chuckled and blew it off again. Sparrow! At least he knew that bird well enough!

"I've always been small! But I will!" Conekit promised and wriggled his fur back into place. His tail puffed up like a flower behind him. He was born sick and feeble. He never got the choice, but he heard an old tom say it was because the litter size had been so big. But now...only three kits remained. He pricked his ears gently, rubbing them between his forepaws.
"When I grow up, do you think I'll be pretty? Like a sunrise!" Conekit asked the group with wide expecting eyes.

"Just two bites!" Conekit declared and stepped towards Lavenderkit. His cheek fluff brushed her as he take his two medium bites and then moved so Pennyroyalkit could take his spot if he wanted. He had a bad habit of eating little, but too much made his belly hurt. He looked up at the queen and grinned. She smelled like a real mom. A real queen.
"Can we play after she's done, Miss Shyblossom?" Conekit asked politely, wiggling in kittish delight.

Conekit let his ears fall. His mother was going to be replaced. He tried to be happy for whoever the new deputy would be, but it stung like fire. He followed Pennyroyalkit's familiar face and sat beside her. She was the only face he knew besides his family.

Conekit blinked slowly. Driftingheart. That...That was a good choice! Conekit swallowed up negative emotions before heading back the nursery, tears twinkling in his eyes. He dipped his fuzzy head and wished Driftingheart the best of luck. Darkclan fell into his paws.

Conekit looked like he caught thd biggest hawk in the world. His little kitten claws picked up scraps of moss from the nursery beds. His fuzz was fluffed happily as he turned to the other two kits.
"Thank you! What do you two want to play?" Conekit asked with stampy excited paws. His triangle ears perked right up to listen.

Conekit brushed against the kit hero's pelt comfortingly. His smile expressed a soft sympathy for the biting remark. "He just talks different. But everyone is different. Briarkit I'm older than you and I haven't seen much. When your an apprentice you can see it for the first time! Who wouldn't want that?"
The tom kit flopped in front of her, fur radiating warmth. He haf to admit he was curious too, but what would Pitchstar say?

Conekit poked Eveningshade's back leg shly leaning is red head over her massive belly. "Me too?"
The kitten may be too young, but at least she could tell him to go talk to an elder or something!

"Do you want some?" Came a youthful, but pleasant voice.
Conekit stood in front of the molly with rounded morning eyes. He had a wren in his little jaws, partically eaten. He set it down in front of the molly. If she was looking at the fresh kill pile, then maybe she was hungry? A big warrior dropped it off at the nursery, but nobody except Conekit wanted it. He couldn't finish it alone! Hus youth numbed his eyes. He didn't notice the issue the molly had with her paws. His smile never broke. Conekit was a parentless and utterly alone kit for the most part.
"I'm Conekit. Who are you?" He politely asked. His eyes looking instead to the molly's pretty curled ears.
