[justify]★ [i'm bored and have loads of muse for midori so
this shouldn't be as long as the tree accident tho but no guarentees
also this isn't a gloomy one it gets happier :3]
"Spare me your judgments and spare me your dreams
'Cause recently mine have been tearing my seams
I sit alone in this winter clarity which clouds my mind
Alone in the wind and the rain you left me
It's getting dark darling, too dark to see
And I'm on my knees, and your faith in shreds, it seems."
Soft, unrhythmic pawsteps hit the forest floor, along with the pitter-patter of rain. A high-pitched, quiet voice sung into the air as the weak cat kept attempting to run. Midori would wince every so often because of her aching side and leg. The cool rain didn't help the aches, either. The ginger tabby would ignore the pain as best as she could, however.
"Corrupted by the simple sniff of riches blown
I know you have felt much more love than you've shown
And I'm on my knees and the water creeps to my chest."
Midori slowed to a stop as she came across a small river. The splashing of the rain into the once till waters almost annoyed Midori. Her head turned upwards, ears flattening as the rain was now hitting against her face. "This is stupid.." Midori didn't even know what she was doing, but whatever it was, she would decide right there that it was stupid. Turning her head back down, she went along the river bank, looking for stones or a fallen tree to help her cross. Finally finding something, Midori went across, continuing her journey.
"But plant your hope with good seeds
Don't cover yourself with thistle and weeds
Rain down, rain down on me
Look over your hills and be still
The sky above us shoots to kill
Rain down, rain down on me."
Some of the nicer memories were returning to Midori. She had a headache now, because of them, but they weren't as bad as some. She didn't mind these memories, either.
'WAIT! I know, Mid, let's get Batgirl and Robin onesies!'
You chuckled at the tall male standing in front of you. 'Yeah, let's do that, Cicero.' The blue-haired male then grabbed your hand before running off suddenly. You squeaked, trying to will your tiny legs to run as fast as they could to keep up with Cicero, who was 6'3.
'Cicero, hold up! I can't run as fast as you!' Instead of slowing down, the young man simply just grabbed you and carried you the rest of the way to the store.
She remembered that. That was the night..the night before the big school dance. Midori had a small grin on her face as nostalgia hit her. Sometimes, she really did miss being Midori Rinel, huntress in training. She contiuned on, before having to stop again. Her necklace felt like it was burning again. Midori rubbed her chest uncomfortably, grumbling about the heated metal on the necklace. She wondered what was even causing it. After a moment, Midori got up and continued on.
"But I will hold on
I will hold on hope
I begged you to hear me, there's more than flesh and bones
Let the dead bury the dead, they will come out in droves
But take the spade from my hands and fill in the holes you've made
But plant your hope with good seeds
Don't cover yourself with thistle and weeds
Rain down, rain do-"
"H-Hola, mi amor." a sudden voice spoke.
Midori spun her head around, eyes widening. "Wha-"
"T-Tu corazón es mío." A semi-transparent tom sat there, a grin on his face. His fur was a greyish blue color. A huge somberero too big for him sat on his head, and a fake moustache was on the end of his nose. As soon as Midori looked at him, the spirit wiggled his eyebrows.
Midori burst out laughing.
The spirit bounded over to Midori, smiling a bit as he tried to nudge her. Sadly, his nose just kind of..passed through her. Midori took a few steps away from him, staring at the spirit with a funny look. "Weirdo."
"Shut up, you know you love me."
If anyone came across the two, they would see Midori talking to a strange, floating, and semi-transparent spirit cat.
[kudos to whoever can guess who the spirit is
also kudos to my friend who even gave me the idea because he sent me this
