"I'm down for that!" Tammie clapped her hands excitedly, clearly not thinking this situation through. But if magical girls were really as resistant as they say, then she shouldn't have anything to worry about, right? Pain was only temporary; a couple of broken bones could be fixed up in an instant. "Yeah, you gotta have fun sometimes, Tomo," she said, winking at the other girl. "Besides, who cares about normal people? We see them everyday!"

Tammie stepped forward, grinning madly. "I'll go first. Just to give you guys an example on how to really have fun." She clicked the button on her ring, posing as her dress flowed around her. "And I'll do it in style too~." That wasn't the real reason she transformed though. She wanted to be able to catch herself in case she fell to her death or something. Not that that would happen since they were on the first floor, but still.

here comes a thot. and an app that totally didnt need to be this long

    Name: Makinto Mujaki

    Gender: Female

    Age: 16

    Sexuality: Pansexual

    Nickname: Maki

    Appearance:

    Appearance when transformed:

Personality: What do you get when you combine shyness with asocial tendencies? A total loser social recluse! Makinto isn’t the gal to go to during storytime. In fact, she’s already turned the other way, looking for a trash can to hide in. This kid is ridiculously shy, barely managing to utter more than a few words to a stranger, and blushing everytime anyone so much as looks at her. This behavior is caused mainly by her past; Makinto never learned how to interact with others and the embarrassment from messing up all the time caused her to dread social situations. Now anytime someone talks to her, her eyes immediately start darting around to find an escape. She also clings like a puppy to anyone she’s already familiar with and hesitates like hell when trying out new things. It’s a wonder how this girl dreams of getting any friends.

With enough scavenging though, one will find an optimistic girl underneath all that stuttering. Almost too optimistic. Naive, even. Makinto’s view of the world is heavily derived from fictional media she consumed as a kid, mainly shoujo manga and JRPGs. She believes there is a clear cut bad guy and good guy in every situation and gets really confused when there’s a grey area. Even when she does spot ‘the bad’, she’s hesitant to do anything about it, as she believes in letting people redeem themselves even when there’s absolutely no chance of them turning back. This blind optimism also gives her an odd sense of justice. Acting completely on impulse, Makinto will sometimes jump into situations she doesn’t belong in, more often than not finding herself stuck when that burst of courage wears off.She can also be surprisingly fiesty for such a timid person, but it's not like it ever gets her anywhere since she backs down a moment later. Her entire personality is like a light switch.

Speaking of switches, when Makinto transforms into a magical girl, it’s showtime! She becomes a completely different person in this form; she’s suddenly outgoing, charming, and confident, able to captivate people with just her words alone. It’s only to be expected from a magician, whose key to success is keeping the crowd’s loyalty. Everything she says rolls off the tongue like honey, and she handles crowds with ease. It’s almost like there was never an anxious girl in there in the first place. But along with the gain in charisma comes the complete erasure of her ability to judge. Makinto herself doesn't know how or why this occurs, but while in her magical girl form, Makinto has no sense of dignity; she will do and say anything she pleases no matter how reckless or offensive it is. Of course, for better or for worse, this persona fades away completely when Makinto transforms back to normal, but that brief period where she has no care in the world can be either enjoyable or dangerous.

ALSO, SHE’S ACTUALLY A SALT MINE IN DISGUISE??! watch out everyone, makinto brand salt. goes great with french fries.

Backstory: Makinto was raised in a household with a single father, her mother having passed away when she was two years old. Although her father was affectionate and attentive, he was also perfectly fine with letting his quiet child stay home and play video games instead of encouraging her to go outside and meet other people. As a result, Makinto grew up with very little social interaction and even less friends. Finding herself unable to get past the acquaintance stage with her peers due to her lack of social experience, she sank further into loneliness, her only company being the fantasy worlds she’s known since childhood.

Then, one day, something magical happened-- literally. Makinto got her very own ring from Ayami. The moment was so mystical, so much like the manga she read as a child that she felt like she could die of happiness right there. And just like that, Makinto enrolled herself in Ayami’s school as fast as she could, filled with hope for the future. It was finally time for her to be a hero, for her story to start. Along with her fellow magical girls, she would save the world and protect it from harm....

Family: she has a dad and only a dad. dad master race

    Strengths:
    huh

✿ good at talking people into things and distracting them while she’s transformed

✿ actually pretty observant when she wants to be

    ✿ she’s...makinto? and that’s what matters~

    Weaknesses:

✿ very submissive outside of her magical girl form + can't defend herself for shit

✿ not streetsmart at all whoops

✿ seriously she is a super bad judge of character rip this child

✿ her powers are luck-based and boy is that bad sometimes

    Side: Ayami

Reasoning for that side?: “S-She gave me my ring!...Plus, that’s the good side, right?”

    Powers:

    • Makinto’s a magician with a whole slew of magic tricks up her sleeve! She can teleport, make stuff appear and disappear, hypnotize people, slice things, make stuff levitate, read fortunes, and more! The thing about these powers is: their success rate is random, and the more tired Makinto is, the higher the chance of them failing or producing an unintended effect. She could aim to teleport on top of a roof and end up burying herself in the ground instead. Her powers also aren’t very attack oriented, leaving her defenseless when she’s by herself.
    • Makinto’s favorite thing to do in this form is summon...bunnies? Yes, Makinto can conjure bunnies--and birds too-- either one at a time or in hordes. Provided she is focused enough, she can also turn small objects into bunnies. Makinto can order these animals to attack her opponent savagely...with kisses?! Okay, maybe it feels more like getting stabbed with a toothpick in the case of birds, but there is literally nothing to fear when these smol dudes appear (minus getting glomped). They’re illusions and they burst into gas if they’re harmed in any way.
    • If Makinto tries to levitate a person, they must be completely willing to allow her to do so. Mental or physical resistance of any sort will break the connection. She unfortunately can’t fling people into oblivion...without their permission.

Give us a quote from your character!: “I wonder what it feels like...to have everyone’s undivided attention.”

Other: mebbe she accidentally summons bunnies when she's startled. also in the list of top 10 characters most likely to die

'Oh geez. Oh no.' A girl in a pink sweater pulled her hair, tugged on the strands of her backpack, and clawed her skirt, doing everything that was expected of a nervous person as she paced around outside the school. Cupping her hands over her mouth, she let out a muffled, frustrated scream and rubbed her cheeks. She didn't mean to miss the first day of school, she really didn't. It was just, there was a problem with moving her luggage into the dorms and then she was having second thoughts about attending and, oh it was just a mess. And now she was late on top of all that-- what a good way to start the year. Staring timidly at the huge building that loomed above her, her mind went back to why she applied to this school in the first place. She wanted to know what it felt like to be a hero, didn't she? Not only that, but a hero surrounded by other kindhearted people with similar goals. That's right. There wasn't any point in lingering around to torture herself anymore; she was here to get her life started! Slapping her cheeks, Makinto looked at the entrance, determination burning in her eyes. "Okay...Let's do this!"

    ...

The moment she stepped into the school, Makinto's face dropped. She couldn't even be lucky enough to get here when the hallways were empty, could she. Quickly shoving her face into her schedule as a crowd passed by, she inched back to the nearest wall and just...stayed there. The next thing she needed to do was find out where class is located, but there was no way she was gonna weave through that stampede of people! And asking someone for directions..? Makinto felt like she might faint, but she held herself together, knees trembling and all.

((tHIS GIRL IS LIKE A MUSE GENERATOR, WOW. and rose, i have no idea how to take care of cats, but what does that cat look like? :o))

As she was propelled to the next class, Tammie was fully expecting to slam into a wall. But to her surprise, she and Hisae landed without a hitch. She stretched like she totally wasn't screaming for her life a few seconds ago and looked out the window. "HEY MAYU AND TOMO! We're alive!!" she screehed. Did they hear her? Of course they did, who wouldn't hear her yelling? She turned to yell at Hisae too (happily, of course), but found the girl on the floor instead. Not wasting another second, Tammie dropped to her knees and pat Hisae on the back. "Oi mate, you okay there?" she asked, concerned.

Hearing someone yell in her direction, Makinto peeked over her schedule, only to cringe immediately when she saw that same person walking towards her. On the bright side, yay someone was there to help her! But Makinto's mind was screaming 'No no! Don't come over here! There is nothing over here!' She looked around wildly, hoping that the other girl was actually talking to someone else, but she was the only person standing by the wall. Who else would she be talking to? Unless...On the off chance that this other girl was actually crazy and was talking to the wall, Makinto put the schedule back in her face and froze in place. Apparently she was pretending to be a decoration. Or a lamp.

Hearing nothing going on for a few seconds, Makinto relaxed a little. Maybe the stranger finally went away..? Well then, that was easy. But a sudden tap on her hand snapped her out of her lull of comfort and she emitted a primal roar (it sounded like a squirrel) as she slammed back against the wall, dropping her paper in the process. She stared fearfully at the other girl like she was some kind of bloodthirsty predator. Then, as if it wasn't completely obvious, she asked, "Wh- I, huh? A-A-Are you t-talking to me?!" Her face turned red at the realization that she'd been found. Guess she wasn't very good at camouflaging.

Makinto continued to stare, completely awe-struck, until the other girl metioned asking if she was lost. "Um, yes!" she blurted out. Yes? Yes what? She should probably finish her sentences if she wanted anyone to understand her. "Uh, t-that is..." Her eyes locked onto the outstretched arm like it was a snake coming to attack her, before gingerly taking the schedule. As soon as the paper was in her hands, Makinto was back to staring down at it again, if only to avoid meeting this stranger's eyes. She supposed now would be a good time to ask for directions before she embarrased herself even further. She took a deep breath to steady herself, but it only seemed to make things worse, as she ended up shouting "D-Do you know where the next class is?!" Makinto buried her face into the paper, causing it to crumple up. She didn't even know if this person had the same class as her, what was she thinking?

Makinto moved the paper away from her face slightly, though part of it still covered her mouth. "Oh, y-yeah, that's the one," she said, nodding sheepishly. She flinched and blushed when Yukina grabbed her arm, but didn't think much else of it. A small smile made its way onto her face. She was lucky the first person she met was so friendly, even if she was a little more energetic than what she was used to. "...W-What's your name?"

"Oh, i-it's Maki–" Makinto's terrible balance made itself known, the girl almost falling over upon being pulled. She flailed her free arm around briefly, catching herself at the last second. Whew, boots were hard to balance in. She looked up at Yukina with a flustered smile before finishing. "...M-Makinto Mujaki. I'm, uh, a..." She paused, scrambling to think of a cool title for herself. "A magician girl!" She grinned brightly before her expression faded into a blank one. 'That sounded really dumb...'

Tammie frowned and looked over Hisae, mostly unconvinced, but she decided not to fuss more than she needed to. Not that she was good at doing that sort of thing anyway. "Ah, you wouldn't mind skipping, huh? Someone call the police, we've got a slacker~." She winked playfully. "I'm sure with your powers, agility training will be a...breeze." She chuckled at her own pun. Ha. Get it? Breeze? That wasn't funny. "...That is, if you don't collapse everytime you use it. But let's get going." She stood up, offering a hand to Hisae.

"Ah, t-thank--" Makinto was cut off yet again as Yukina continued to drag her, though this time she was able to keep herself upright...mostly. She glared half-heartedly at the other girl, wishing she would be just a bit more gentle. "Y-Yeah! In my, um magical girl f-form, I become a magician! A-And I can...do t-tricks and stuff." She smiled softly, seeming happy to talk about her transformation. As she noticed they were approaching someone else, however, Makinto panicked and tried to pull away from Yukina, attempting to back up in the other direction. She was already talking to one person-- no way was she gonna interact with two! And if this other girl was as pushy as the redhead beside her...

Tammie grinned, making a peace sign. "With pleasure, hun. Leading is my number one skill!" No, it really wasn't. In fact, leading and navigation were the things she was least skilled at. Luckily, Agility Training was only a few doors down from where they stood, so there was no way she could get lost. But knowing her, she'd find a way... Tammie skipped down to their destination and opened the door surprisingly normally, though she ended up slamming it into the wall anyway when she spotted Tomoko and Mayu. "What?!" she barked. "How are you guys already here? We left before you!" Tugging Hisae closer to her, she gestured at the two girls in front of her, sneering playfully. "Look at this business here, Hisae. You're talking about cheating, but I'm sure these fine specimens have a good explanation for how they broke the timeline!!"

Makinto puffed out her cheeks and looked Yukina right in the eye, seemingly wanting to tell her off, but all that came out was a weird angry squeal. 'That doesn't mean I want to talk to her!' Taking her to socialize without her permission (not that she'd give it anyway)? How dare Yukina! Makinto almost wanted to suplex her and run away, but they were already too close to this other girl. 'Next time.' Makinto looked down at her feet as Ahi spoke, and played with the loose strings on her sweater. Even with that gentle tone, her anxiety wouldn't calm down one bit. "Um. I-I'm...Makinto...Mujaki?" Why'd it come out like a question? She knew what her own name was!

((heya rose, welcome back! i'd definitely have my characters interact with yours, but they're both already talking to 2+ people tho i don't mind adding more >:3 im not sure if anyone else has characters that are free? :o))

Tammie hummed skeptically at Mayu as if she were lying somehow. "Oh yeah, ice skating, hm? That;s what they all say." The 'all' in that sentence being time travelers, of course. She scoffed. Did Mayu really have ice powers? That was kinda cool (get it, cool), but she couldn't let her interest be known! "Unfortunately, I have no reason to bet on cheaters like you two. Instead, I'm putting all of my money on Hisae!" She looked at the girl beside her with an enthusiastic grin before pointing tauntingly at Mayu and Tomoko. "I bet she'll be better than both of you at agility training! Won't cha, Hisae~?"

Makinto's eyes shifted back and forth between Yukina and Ahi as they exchanged looks. What were they doing? Planning something? Nope, both of them seemed confused in their own way. Makinto twiddled her thumbs awkwardly, already feeling the heat rising to her face. Confusion parties were never fun in her experience. At least Ahi seemed a lot calmer than Yukina, so she wouldn't have to worry about getting dragged around. "Oh, um...Y'know....stuff," she answered vaguely. 'No, no one knows, idiot. Why do you think she asked?' Figuring she could provide a more helpful answer, she tried again. "Uh...Stuff l-like playing video games? And...watching...wrestling? M-M-Maybe! I-I don't know."

Tammie huffed and put a hand on her hip as she looked at Hisae. She sure did get discouraged easily, huh? Well, there'd be no more of that around her! Tammie didn't like dealing with sad people. "We need to get ya into some endurance training, girl." Flicking Hisae's forehead, she put on the biggest smile she could muster. "C'mon, perk up! No one's disappointed here. That just means you're better at doing somethin' else."

At Tomoko's comment, Tammie looked around the room. It was pretty empty, but..."If nobody comes, then wouldn't that mean we'll have the classroom to ourselves? Or even better, class will be cancelled and we'll have free time!" She chuckled to herself as she thought of this possibility. Tammie really just wanted to run around the school and start causing trouble, but she was no skipper! At least, not an intentional one.

"Oh, t-that's c-cool..." Makinto replied with a small smile. She was glad to meet someone with similar interests. As Yukina snapped her fingers, she jumped slightly. "Y-Yeah, we might be l-l-late f-for class if we keep standing here..." While Makinto was mildly concerned with getting to class on time so she wouldn't get yelled at, she was more focused on getting out of this awkward conversation. Not that it was bad, it just wasn't her thing. She glanced at the floor quietly, waiting for the other two girls to do something.

"Ah, 'm sure she's fine," Tammie said, waving her hand dismissively. She couldn't really get a good look at the girl, seeing as she was zipping through the course faster than her eyes could follow, but...Wasn't that the same girl from earlier? The same one that almost attacked Mayu and Tomoko? 'Didn't expect her to be the scream-y type.' Seeing the girl getting chased around brought some kind of cold smile to her face. It was almost like karmic payback in her eyes. Diverting her attention for a bit, Tammie spotted a familiar twin-tailed girl walking in. "Hey, is that Choko?" she said, waving to her.

Makinto's legs gave way as she was let go, sending her tumbling to the floor. She stared lifelessly at the ceiling, her skin pale as if her soul had left her body. And it pretty much did, at the speed Yukina was going. "Never again..." she managed to breathe out before falling silent. She could barely register Ahi looking at her, and now some other stranger was talking to talking to them? Where was she even? Not that it mattered much, she was just fine getting acquainted with the floor. Such a nice floor...

Tammie listened to Choko's rambling with a clueless look on her face. What was with the metaphors all of a sudden? And the introspective attitude? Tammie wasn't expecting that spiel from the cheery girl, but she guessed it was partly because of personality stereotypes. She shook her head dismissively and snorted softly. "What are you yappin' on about, lady? You sayin' you ditched us to get with some other person, but the whole thing ended up blowing up in your face?" She lifted her arms in a shrug, blinking questioningly at the other girl, a lazy smile on her face. "How does that happen? I can't imagine anyone rejecting you, Choko. Am I right, ladies?"

Makinto couldn't say she was surprised when Yukina yanked her up, though she still wobbled as she tried to snap out of her daze. Not even bothering to put up a fight, she lowered her head and scampered behind Ahi, figuring she'd be able to hide from both Yukina and the stranger. 'Nice person, nice person, please protect me.' she chanted in her head.

"Lemon, huh? You sure have a nickname for every--" Tammie stopped talking as Choko wandered off, and made an offended grunt. She stomped after the other girl, glancing at her questioningly, until her eyes landed on the person in front of them. Her eyes lit up with realization. "Oh! Isn't that one of the teachers we had yesterday?" she said, looking over their drowsy appearance. "Rest must not be a common thing for 'em."

Makinto jumped up as Ahi turned around, but she quickly regained her composure and waved her hands rapidly. "What? Oh n-n-no, no i-it's okay. I'm f-fine." She blushed and scratched her head awkwardly. 'Why is she apologizing? She didn't do anything wrong...' Makinto dipped her head and flashed a shy smile of her own. "T-Thank you though. Honestly, I-I'm like this a-all the time, so you shouldn't worry about me..." she mumbled, twirling a lock of her hair.

"Yeah, mister guy!" Tammie said enthusiastically. "Please teach us how to jump out of windows so I can skip classes!" This clearly wasn't the thing you'd want to say to a teacher, but then again, this person didn't seem to be the most professional anyway. "...Or if not, then maybe this isn't agility training after all. Y'know, I don't mind having a free period."

Makinto continued to wave her hands, this time faster. "N-no, no no no! I-It wasn't like that at all, it w-w-was fine, really!!" she sputtered, clearly panicked. What Ahi said wasn't a lie, but Makinto was intent on denying all of it. She could never bring herself to confront the negative side of things, no matter how obvious it was. Besides, it wasn't like she got hurt or anything... "L-Let's just g-get to class, alright?" she said, already inching backwards into the room. "Right!"

Tammie grinned as she scanned the obstacle courses that appeared around the room. "Aw yeah! Now that's what I'm talkin' about! Which one should we do first?" she asked to no one in particular. As she framed a rope dangling over a platform with her hands, she tossed Tomoko a side glance. "I mean, he'll probably be too busy tryin' ta keep his eyes open to care, but who the hell would wanna miss this?" Not her. This whole place was like a giant playground to her. You'd have to be pretty lame to skip it.

Which, by the way, was the perfect word to describe Makinto! After recovering from the mini freak-out she had about objects spontaneously appearing, she gazed at the obstacle courses around her with a completely baffled expression, looking like a kid that got lost in a grocery store. 'Can I go home now?' While it was nice that she got to class on time, she immediately felt like backing out the door and disappearing in the janitor's closet or something. She had no idea how she was gonna get through this course. How could she? Makinto was a gamer from birth-- she was probably the least athletic person in the room. Digging her nails into her cheeks with a sigh, she looked over to Ahi. "H-Hey, Ahi...D-Do you know how to do any of this?" She smiled softly, hoping that she wasn't the only clueless person here.

((hope things get better for you, rose!))

Tammie grinned approvingly at Mayu as she looked at the course she chose. "Ah, see? This girl knows what she's doin'," she said, jabbing her thumb towards the mint-haired girl. "We only go big here, Tomo!" She winked one last time before dashing off and climbing up her own course. This one started with a rope swing across a body of water. It seemed pretty normal, except falling meant a 30ft drop into the water. Tammie hardly seemed to care though, as she threw herself at the rope in the middle and ended up slipping down until her fingers just barely scraped the bottom of it. Literally, hanging on by a thread, she dangled there for a few seconds before shouting a "Woohoo!", though it was hard to tell if it was one of joy or terror. Going big was certainly fun...

Makinto let a light smile play on her face as she nodded at Ahi. "Oh s-sure, please go ahead. Just um...be c-careful." She folded her arms nervously, her smile shifting into a frown as she examined several of the obstacle courses around her. Some of them didn't look that safe...What if Ahi got hurt while trying one of them? Then it would be her fault for asking! And then she would have to explain what happened to her family! And then...This spiral of thoughts would've continued if Makinto didn't hear a familiar loud voice from across the room. She snapped her attention to the redhead, glaring just a tiny bit. "W-We are n-n-not chicken!" she said, her voice wobbling completely unconvincingly. "We're just being cautious!" Come to think of it, how did Yukina get up there so fast? That was like, impossible! "...I...I d-don't think you d-did that right anyway!" She pointed accusingly at the other girl.
