Feline claws sunk into the dirt and delivered powerful blows to the earth. Chunks of dirt flew left and right; then, when they were piled up too much, she shoved them out of the hole. It felt like it had taken seasons to finally finish it.
She worked with her heart in her mouth because of this, but she was glad that she had miraculously managed to complete the promised final product anyways. In hindsight, it was probably a good thing she'd taken so long. It had gotten her much better results that she was definitely a lot more proud of.
It wasn't exactly the most top-notch grave digging ever, yet it wasn't too shabby, either. Everything was so finely detailed, as if she'd had the idea in her head since a few moons ago. The inside was patted down, as to appear smooth and elegant; she let one pair of dual, paralleled lines run through the floor of the resting place; and around the pit, she had formed a solid stripe of thick, short, dirt walls that rimmed the outline of the aperture. Some things were a bit crooked or seemed out-of-place, but Victree thought it was a better design than just a regular hole with regular old dirt.
"This is ... good? Right?" The lion stood in front of the cleft, her head directed with the utmost of concern to the male. This was a very sacred and touchy occurrence, after all. Everyone's nerves were already rubbed raw from the sight of it all; indeed, the people at this scene couldn't possibly go unaffected by the situation.
