Her petite ears flickered in the direction of Tux. Who was this Sonicpaw? How silly, everyone here was named wrong! Someone had to teach Speckles that names had nothing to do with appearance. After casting a concerned look to to Redkit (his name was kind of right: he must of never learned colors!) she buried her gaze into Tux. Speckles tilted her head, appearing slightly defiant. It really was as if she were reflecting moods of others.
Speckles did that a lot, really. She hardly understood the concept of emotion, it was easy to just act how others did. Happiness was always her default, and she was never, never sad. Why be sad when you can smile? Why be sad when there are so many good things in the world, so much to explore? Speckles had never been sad in her short life - perhaps a product of naivety - just because there was no reason. Any other feeling she would reflect in a subconscious movement to learn the things she hadn't been taught by a parent. "Who that? No no, you Tux!" Speckles stated defiantly, lifting her scarcely bleeding paw and pointing it at his chest and markings. A short, exasperated sigh escaped her lips. "See? Me Speckles. You Tux. She... Snowball." Speckles quivered her paw in the direction of the fluffy white rabbit that bounded over.
The next statement made her tail swish (albiet with some effort; that thing was heavy!) and annoyed expression falter. Join Windclan? That was this place, right? When she was to Sunclan they just kind of... Took her. They didn't really ask if she wanted anything. The pitiful looks were kind of annoying, she had just wanted to look around. It had been minutes after she opened her eyes, after all. As he leans down, Speckles does the same, pushing her butt into the air and swishing it as if she were going to pounce. Her tail dragged on the earth. A small giggle came from her lips as she carefully pressed her nose against his.
"Boop."
Speckles drew away immediately, giggling. What did he ask again? She forgot. Hey, the cheetah! She has to talk to her too! Speckles leap to her paws, wincing as the little scratch at her paw ached. Almost as if she had to regard for the name, she perked up and jumped in her place slightly. Speckles moved a little closer to Redkit, as if comforting and teaching him how to be happy. She continued to converse, her actions saying look at me! Be happy like this! It's easy to smile!
Her grin widened and a small gasp escaped her as she looked at the dots on the cheetah - Lucy's - back. "You have Speckles same me!" She squeaked in her strange dialect, obviously way too excited about how many people had 'speckles' here. Granted, they were much larger, like dots, rather than the little pinpricks that littered her spine. "I call you... Dotty?" Speckles' expression became askew, as if trying to figure out a nickname for her.
'Snowball' caught her attention once more. "Hi, Snowball! Uh, Speckles, uh... Don't think so? Speckles like ad-adventure." She stuttered, voice squeaky and varying in tone like a child. Speaking was so difficult sometimes, but she loved to talk to people and make friends. Perhaps she has some sort of phobia of being disliked, which was why she made her presence so known and friendly. Speckledkit gave a small shrug of her shoulders, as if it was no big deal.
Her gaze swiveled to Redkit once more, openly expressing her perturb. People who... Loved her? Speckles didn't know if anyone loved her. She didn't even know what that word meant. "What love? What dad? What mum? Bro-her?" She asks all sorts of questions, involuntarily leaning forward and pitching her head. What were all of these new terms? She never heard them before. Clans? Oh, she knew that word! Did that make Sunclan her family? Was everyone there her brothers and sisters? Curiosity etched into the crevices of her countenance. She watched him carefully, analyzing his expression, looking down at the white flower before casting her gaze back up.
Oh, golly, his eyes were watering! Speckles begins to panic at the sight. No tears, no tears! About just as quickly as her breathing labors with sudden anxiety, he speaks. "I'm happy, see?" She struggled to relax, though coming more naturally when a smile was placed on his maw. Speckles slowed down the contractions of her lungs, giving the same grin that was slightly more relaxed than before. Now she just seemed... Tired. Very tired. The universal sign of glee falters when Redkit's does.
Now it was time for her to be confused. Speckles glances down at her paw and shrugs her petite shoulders. "It fine. You hurt too, see?" Speckles points at his leg carefully, eyes trailing to his sash. Speck met his gaze once more with a certain type of understanding. There was a quiet whisper in his monochrome optics that spoke words of "If you get help, I will too!" Yet, there really was no cure for his sprained leg. "How you get boo-boo?"
