[fancypost bgcolor= transparent; border: 700px]The alabaster femme sat in camp, boredom clawing at her. Her stupid leg had been acting up all day, paining her to even think about. She needed a distraction, something to occupy her war-torn thoughts. She needed some fun. And, if none came to her, she would find it on her own.

She decided to go exploring. The young girl made her way down the large stairs, slowly. Her face was contorted in pain and determination. Half way down, she realized it was probably a stupid idea. When one of her paws slipped on melted snow, almost causing a nasty fall, she knew it was stupid. Suiteheart flatted her newly pierced ears in anger. She'd be damned if she pulled a Retrograde without him around.

Finally, she'd reached the bottom. She sat down with a huff. She was somewhat proud of herself for making it but exasperated at the thought of climbing back up. If ever she needed a good distraction, it was now.

[fancypost bgcolor= transparent; border: 700px]The recent family joining had her head sort of spinning. It wasn't for bad reasons - only because of so many new faces. She was used to one or two animals joining a day, but an entire family? That was crazy. She supposed it was nice for them though. They could at least stay together. They seemed to be all each other had. Understanding then washed over her.

It was unwise for a young mother to be all alone with her children. It was unsafe to be alone. There was safety in numbers, safety in good creatures, safety in those who would treat you like family even if you had no relations. She supposed that was the reason for her own joining. She'd been on her own for so long before then.

Suiteheart shivered, drawing herself away from her thoughts. Trouble thoughts seemed to follow her step for step. And, unfortunately, these thoughts had almost caused her to run someone over. "Oh, shit!" the girl exclaimed, sheepish expression enveloping her face. [b]"Got lost in thought. My bad... Hey, you're Littlepaw, right?"

[fancypost bgcolor= transparent; border: 700px]She let out a small laugh at his profanity choice. It was amusing, not that he was cursing, but that they'd picked the same word. Her spectacular entrance had caused this, and she supposed their matching words was a pretty good icebreaker. After all, how many creatures spoke in the same thing in unison?

"That would be me, Suiteheart, in all her glory," the femme jested, amusement alight in her tone. She would settle down in front of him, movements slightly awkward thanks to her still injured leg. [b]"Not really all that glorified. Anyway, how're you liking it here?"

[fancypost bgcolor= transparent; border: 700px]Suiteheart winked a quick hello to Muffet, happy to see a familiar face. While she knew Mettaton and Judicialverdict somewhat, she knew Muffet better, considered her a friend.

She scoffed at Littlepaw's remark toward his sister, Shootingpaw. Immediately feeling bad, she took on a sheepish look. "Ah, heh," Suite would say, attempting to hide her grin, "Kids, right?"

Her azure optics then flickered to Russianpaw. "I think we can manage a tour or something." She would return the younger feline's smirk. Tours were easy. Didn't they have something more challenging for her? Well, regardless, she'd be happy to give one. [b]"Now that everyone seems to be here, I can, like, take you to camp and show you around. You guys are probably tired, huh?"

[fancypost bgcolor= transparent; border: 700px]Suiteheart followed closely behind. She was somewhat reenergized by the thought of being caught. It was like being back home, causing havoc. She missed it, missed the feeling of anxious excitement in her chest. And, though she still felt bad from pranking the young one, she was starting to feel better.

She raced up to Arizona and attempted to grab her by her scruff. If successful, she would sling her over her shoulder, where the kit would comfortably ride out the rest of their escape. By now, a smile of mischievous delight had taken over.

[fancypost bgcolor= transparent; border: 700px]She didn't even get to look at what was behind her. Pulled forward by her friend, she followed. Fear had reignited in her and melted away the anger. For a split second, she wondered if what they were running from was Arizona's attacker. And so the anger returned. "What - what's after us?" she asked, scrambling after Arizona, clutching her hand.

[fancypost bgcolor= transparent; border: 700px]Suiteheart cracked a sly smile at the familiar voice. "Aw, c'mon, Muffet! Where's the fun in that?" She popped the blueberry into her mouth. While she wasn't the biggest fan of fruits, she wasn't the biggest fan of meats either. She'd say she was on the fence about it all, really. [b]"But please, like, stay and talk a while. I like your company."

[fancypost bgcolor= transparent; border: 700px]A smirk laced its way onto her snowy features. She liked this one. He said it like it was, no sugarcoating it. It was refreshing, in a way. "Hey, one can try, can't they? At least you didn't catch my fall as I tripped down the stairs. Now that would've been an entrance. I'd at least be glorified in stupidity and clumsiness."

She'd carefully listen to his next words. As a Paladin Trainee, part of her job description was making sure others were settling in nicely after welcoming them to their new home. She enjoyed it, made for honest, good work. "Yeah, I totally see that, dude," Suite answered, nodding her head. Her eyes widened slightly when she realized her faux pas. [b]"... Fuck, my bad. But, yeah, the cold is a real bitch sometimes. Sorry it's been difficult to navigate. You explore much?"

[fancypost bgcolor= transparent; border: 700px]She would give a nod. She was glad they weren't too tired for a tour. It meant things would be easier, probably quicker. Still, even as the disagreed to being tired, she could she their exhaustion. She thought for a brief moment, wondering if perhaps they'd all received their second wind.

"Ready whenever you guys are," she snowy creature responded, gathering herself up. Suite made a mental note of everything she'd need to point out. Geez, she hoped she wasn't forgetting anything. That would be bad.

[fancypost bgcolor= transparent; border: 700px]She would return the grin before continuing her run. It wasn't that Arizona was slow, but the older girl was faster. It would make their escape easier this way, so long as Arizona didn't put her paws over Suite's eyes.

Once far enough away, she slowed to a walk. Her breathing was hard for a second but calmed as she drew in a few, deep breaths. She chuckled to herself before addressing her small friend, [b]"Haven't ran like that since I was being chased by the guards, Ari."

[fancypost bgcolor= transparent; border: 700px]Suite would laugh at that. She liked his sense of humor, liked that his disability wasn't a bother to him. She didn't know many felines like that. Most asked for pity but he didn't. It was neat. "Right? Would've been hystairical." And Suiteheart with the jokes.

She, too, found herself easily getting on with him. It was like when she'd first really spoken to Retrograde. They'd sort of just clicked. And so had she and Little. It was a nice feeling. "Oh, geez. Well, I promise I won't cry. Unless, like, want me to or whatever. Then I think I can manage," she replied. "And you guess that's a fuckin' bonus? Hearing me cuss like a sailor?" She chuckled.

At the mention of him not having explored too much, her pierced ears perked. [b]"Well, you want to? Explore, I mean? I promise I won't let you walk off into an abbys. And, if I do, I'll only laugh a little bit."

[fancypost bgcolor= transparent; border: 700px]She waved a quick hello to Idleidol with a flick of her tail. They seemed somewhat nervous. She didn't blame him. If she saw some random feline, making fruit salad in the middle of camp, she'd have questions too. "Hey, don't think we've met before. I'm Suiteheart. You? Want any fruit salad? You can make your own." She offered him a smile of greeting.

Her azure optics flickered to Littletalks. Aah, her first taker it seemed! Nice. "It's just, like, a bunch of fruit in a bowl. I think the name is to make it sound fancier?" she mused, grabbing for another piece of fruit. [b]"Anywho, care to try or make some?"

[fancypost bgcolor= transparent; border: 700px]"Hey, what's going on I heard screaming and I - I just -" Suiteheart stopped, catching her breath. Her heart was pounding a million miles a second. She'd been worried for her friend long before his return. And, while she was overjoyed he was back, she couldn't help but feel like something was out of place. "Was worried," the Paladin Trainee finished, a sheepish look blossoming on her face when she realized she'd intruded. "Is everything okay?" They both seemed fine - Tama slightly concerned though that was normal -, but looks could be deceiving.

[fancypost bgcolor= transparent; border: 700px]"Suite. Feline. Small. One of my ear's has two piercings. Other than that, not much to look at - good in your case," came the slight teasing voice of the Paladin Trainee. You could practically hear the lopsided grin in her voice. She quite liked this little apprentice, thought he was an interesting character. The girl would park herself beside Muffet, muttering a quick hello to she and the others.

[fancypost bgcolor= transparent; border: 700px]Suite smirked. Story time. "Alright, so, like, a couple of months ago, my friend and I are messing around my hometown, right? Well, someone gets the bright idea to sneak into this club thing or whatever. It's like a big party place for people with music and whatever," she explained, eyes getting a kind of far away look as she recalled the night.

"The place is no animals allowed mind you. So we sneak in and head to the back. Once there, we're, like, knockin' bottles and shit off the shelves, throwing food around, clawing up furniture. We were kind of assholes." The femme laughed. It was true, they were. But everything had been so much fun. "So, finally, the humans hear what's going on and they run into the back. They're shouting, screaming, and we're just laughing. One of the humans - a real ugly, big guy - grabs a knife. Long story short, we booked it. Don't think I've ever ran that fast in my life. Probably would've been skinned if Horseshoe hadn't been there. He's too lucky for his own good."

She glanced at the ground, smirk dissolving. She hadn't said her friend's name aloud in months. It pained her. Her chest felt like it was ripping apart. God, she missed him, missed them all. What had ever happened? She wished she knew. [b]"Things like that used to happen all the time. We kind of lived on the run."

[fancypost bgcolor= transparent; border: 700px]"Arizona! Arizona, wait, who -" She didn't get to finish her thought, for she was slung into the dorm room. Seeing what the girl was planning, she helped to baricade the door. It seemed to be working nicely, keeping whatever the hell was after them at bay.

The loud knocking on the door made her jump. She crouched down on the floor, covering her ears with her hands, attempting to block out all sound. 'Just wake up from this stupid dream. Wake up. Wake the fuck up.' She looked up when she heard shouting. Her heart sank but quickly recovered at the sight of Arizona's phone working. Maybe they could get out of this nightmare.

// ooh, sounds like fun!! :0
maybe we should move the threads to like another board, too? Just so this one doesn't get cluttered?
