it took a great amount of self control to keep her body from flinching at the sudden honking voice, and the odd creature shuffling in her direction. her claws dug roughly into the ground, though she retained her passive expression. "hello." she returned, tone terse as she gazed at the penguin. that was what she assumed the stranger was, after all, though she never imagined she'd cross paths with one of the arctic-dwelling creatures. "you're quite far from home, i see." her head tilted with interest, piercings emitting a soft tinkling with the change in posture. she didn't feel particularly threatened by the bird, and it didn't seem to be deterred by her cartelian scent. that was, quite possibly, a first.

i've always wanted to stay in a cabin they seem so cozy

but oml what happened to your trailer? that sounds horrible

ahh if you guys wanna hear about it sure!

while xael had no control over the elements, she was equipped with tooth and claw. she slid forward, waiting for caera's call to leave. she wondered if she'd be able to find the molly she'd fought previously. they'd been painfully equal in skill, and she itched to prove her superiority.

while xael shared a common interest in getting better, she also harbored an interest in her own well-being. and, while the practice would undoubtedly be good for her, she'd have to pass of sparring with the massive creature. "i'll watch." she called in her typical breathy tone, slouching to the ground to wait for whatever challenger appeared. it would certainly be interesting to see how capable she proved herself to be.

"get a handle, george." xael called, tone low and questioning as she gazed at her associate through narrowed eyes. she was used to the shit he pulled with the birds, but the way they were dropping it seemed he'd deplete the territory. "we still have to eat, you know." she glanced at the girl alongside him, supposing her to be family of some sort. she doubted the guy had friends- especially those that would follow him to the cartel.

as much as xael disproved of caera's leadership, she had to admit that she was doing a much better job than twilightzone. in fact, the amount of effort the girl was putting into this was quite extreme. the lilac listened to everything caera had to say, making a mental note to find her after everything had boiled down a bit. "all understood." she called, heading lazily after those heading towards the exiles. she certainly didn't want to be the first one there, she knew that to be a one way ticket to pain.

to say the very least, xael was shook a the sight of the roaring fire. she happened to be close enough to hear caera's exclamation, which made her feel as hot with anger as the flames. "what the hell caera." she hissed beneath her breath, body tense as she racked her mind for ideas. she couldn't think of anything within her power that could help. they could retreat to the temple and watch it burn, but she didn't quite like the idea of doing nothing.

//sorry for the late reply, i've been out of the country xd

as the cartel declined, xael was glad to have hung on to a few more permanent customers. it was always nice to see their deprived faces, as strange as it seemed. she did make a life of drug dealing after all, so she had to find small things to enjoy. and, while on the topic, she found herself particularly enjoying the wad of cash accompanying jerseyboy.

the lilac gave a small smile as she made her way towards her customer, tail waving behind her. "jersery," she hummed in greeting, appraising the currency at his paws. "good to see you. here for the usual?" she decided to cut to the chase and spare the formalities, especially when he was looking as irritable as he did. she'd wait for him to answer before she summoned what she knew to be his typical order.
