/ it's fine!! was the convention fun?

Leo instantly looked up as his phone made a recognizable "ping" sound, his heart almost skipping a beat as he read the name of the contact. What were the odds? Leo rolled on his back while holding his phone above him, a small smile slowly forming as he read the text. He said that he didn't want to go outside but now he actually had the motivation to do it, even if he had no car and no umbrella in case it rained. He did have a couple of sweatshirts with hoods on them, though, but it was in the middle of summer so he would either die from heat stroke or look oddly suspicious. The jacket he had on currently was rather light but it didn't have a hood so if Leo got stuck in the rain, his hair would suffer the most. Well, judging by the messy state it was in right now, perhaps he needed that to happen. It wasn't the worst but it could be better.

Leo had been trapped in his own thoughts and almost forgot to reply, yet thankfully he managed to snap out of it and realize before he hit the five minute mark. His eyes drifted back to his phone and he quickly typed:

it's my day-off so i can come over! i'll be there in 30 min or so

That was the best estimate he could come up with. If he left now and walked at a slightly fast pace, then he'd be able to get there in said amount of time. That being said, the teen wasted no time, standing up from the couch and stuffing his phone into his pocket once again. If anything, it was also on vibrate, so he'd be able to sense it if he got a new text or a call. Er...what else did he need? Should he bring something there just so he wouldn't show up empty-handed? He didn't have much food in the fridge other than the necessities so that was out of the question. Oh, his wallet. The dark gray wallet was sitting on the kitchen table next to the small pile of checks he received from his jobs. He grabbed it and also put it in his pocket - perhaps they could go somewhere fun if the sun decided to come out. After getting ready, Leo slipped on his white sneakers and checked up on his appearance in the mirror one last time. Man, he looked tired. The stress was obviously getting to him. Well, he just had to hope that it wasn't that noticeable. With that all said and done, Leo opened and closed the door behind him, locking it.

Long story short, it did start raining at one point. Leo was halfway there, hands in his pockets as he walked in order to make sure that he wouldn't be mugged, until he felt a couple of droplets splash on his face. He glanced up at the sky, which was now a darker blue color. The rain droplets made dark splashes on the sidewalk, slowly growing more rapid until it was almost pouring. Leo arched an eyebrow before letting out a small laugh. What were the odds? The harshness of the rain motivated him to walk a little faster, so he did manage to get to Helix's house three minutes earlier or so. Thank goodness. Anyways, now that he was here, should he knock, call, or ring the doorbell? Or maybe he could just mess with Helix. Without much hesitation, Leo chose the last option and allowed a mischievous grin to grace his features as he pressed the "call" button on Helix's contact, bringing the phone to his ear.

"Hey, I'm a street away from your house but it looks like somebody left a present at your door. You might wanna check it out," Leo would say if Helix picked up, attempting to stifle his laughter. If he didn't pick up, then Leo would just leave that as a voicemail. It wasn't exactly a prank, he was just poking fun.

    [fancypost borderwidth=0px; width:480px; text-align:justify;]
/ i mentally replied but i didn't physically reply feel free to hit me with a brick

Walking anywhere was never really a problem for Leo. He used to have a car but since it wasn't technically fully his, he was forced to give it back once his friend got a job at a further location. That being said, he didn't have a car anymore. Well, it wasn't like that car was fully helpful anyway since Leo didn't have a license in the first place and only got basic lessons from his friend, so he only used it when it was a complete emergency. Situations like those barely ever popped up but if anything, they made Leo realize how screwed he was. Half of what he did was illegal - driving without a license, lying about his age in order to live alone, shop-lifting. Man, if he were ever caught, the justice system would have a field day with him. Although that was quite frightening, Leo was strangely at ease with that. Perhaps it was because he was confident that he wouldn't get caught.

Foot tapping rhythmically against the ground, the teen anxiously waited for Helix to either call back or open the door. Leo knew how unplanned and dumb the joke was but he felt like it would be a nicer way to announce his arrival instead of knocking on the door or ringing the doorbell. Plus, he was tired, but he didn't want to make it look like that so he might as well do something that he would normally do when he was in a better state. Not to mention the obvious fact, which was that it was incredibly fun. It wasn't going to be anything special, just something to lighten up the dreary mood that the rain set, which was still going. Watch it stop the minute Leo got inside, just because the weather liked to work against him like that.

Leo noticed the door open and a mischievous grin instantly graced his features. "Oh, Helix. Your present arrived." He began to speak, stifling a laugh so the joke wouldn't be so obvious. His hand went to cover his smile, although his eyes held a joyful flare in them. "First of all, no refunds. I have no receipt either." He dropped his arm to fold his arms across his chest, trying his best to keep a smile from forming in order to keep it as serious as possible, yet the twitch at the edge of his lips was giving it all away. Hey, he didn't say that he was good at this.

Then before he was able to say anything else, a thought crossed his mind. It was last-minute but Leo wasn't going to pass the chance up. He made his way closer, hoping that his cheeks weren't as red as they felt. "You do have to sign something to prove that you got it. Standard delivery protocol. Although I forgot the thing you sign it on, so I guess we have to improvise. Tell you what, you can sign with a kiss." Leo was actually quite proud of that since he thought up of it just now. He had been looking for ways to out-flirt Helix and this was actually pretty good in his opinion, especially since he had literally just thought up of it and it came out so smoothly. Ha! How the tables have turned.

    [fancypost borderwidth=0px; width:480px; text-align:justify;]
    pfft i know right
and don't worry, your post is good!

As Helix mentioned the "present" being delivered to the neighbors, Leo placed a hand on his heart, putting on a fake hurt expression. "Fine, I see how it is! Maybe the neighbors will appreciate me more. But you're gonna have to take me there 'cause I'm not walking." He huffed, trying to stop that mischievous smile from forming. He was also messing around, as he often pretended to exaggerate his emotions just to lighten up the mood or simply be annoying. Not many appreciated it, which was why he mostly did it when he was around Helix. He used to do it around Erin, where he would often shout the Team Rocket motto whenever they were next to each other, but he couldn't do that anymore. Maybe he would get into the habit of saying that with Helix, too. Prepare for trouble and make it double!

As he listened to Helix, he couldn't help but grow more confident. Aw yeah, this seemed to be working so far. Score one for Leo. "You don't? I'm pretty sure I'm doing you a favor - who knows what trouble you'd get in with the postal service. They're kinda petty when it comes to that, y'know." He pointed out, a small laugh escaping his mouth. Leo's eyes flickered with surprise as Helix leaned in only to lean back, and he instantly realized that he was getting teased. He should have expected it considering that this was Helix he was talking to, but part of him had no idea what to expect, which wasn't according to his plan. Should he move up, should he match his movements, should he just stand there like some idiot? Decisions, decisions. Leo was normally decisive although a majority of his decisions were risky, which was why he was hesitant here. Maybe he should go with it the best he could and try not to fully fall for this.

Keyword: try. It was easier said than done. A small sound of frustration rose in Leo's throat as he found himself falling victim the teasing, yet it didn't seem to last much longer. Helix might have won the battle but Leo was bent on winning the war. "Of course I checked..." He murmured in his defense, thankfully silenced by their lips making contact before he was able to say anything else. Finally. A feeling of victory washed over him as he did end up getting what he hoped - man, he really didn't think he'd get that far with the lame scenario since it was made up on the spot, but he was glad that he did. It was totally worth it. At first, he had no idea what to do with his hands, and they hung uselessly at his side for a couple of seconds. However, instinct eventually took over and he subconsciously aimed to move them up to Helix's waist, where they would hopefully stay even after he broke the kiss.

Unfortunately, Leo did have to pull away so he could breathe and not die from oxygen deprivation. Imagine how disappointing that would be. His cheeks were visibly red now and a small smile formed, growing larger as Leo began to slowly get his senses back. Laughter bubbled in his chest although there was very little reason to - was he laughing because his seemingly dumb idea worked or because he felt like this was his first time being happy after weeks of stress? Either way, he didn't really care.

    [fancypost borderwidth=0px; width:480px; text-align:justify;]
/ it's obvious that i'm out of thread ideas lmao

Leo was feeling rather bored this evening. There wasn't much left to do with the destruction of the tornado, especially since a majority of his stuff was gone. Who knew where it was? Certainly not him. Well, it wasn't like he had much stuff anyway, as most of it was pretty useless. He wasn't exactly a hoarder, he merely kept what he found interesting and he simply happened to find a lot interesting. All he had left were a couple of accessories and his volleyball, which was sadly almost deflated. He kept them all in a pile and made sure that nothing went missing while he was away. However, he wasn't up for doing something with them.

Halfway through his thoughts, he came to the realization that he didn't know a majority of those who resided here. They all seemed to know each other yet they didn't know him, so Leo supposed that he had to fix that, especially if they were living here. Now, normally the best and most traditional way to do that would be to host a meet and greet, but Leo felt like it would grow boring quickly. After all, who would want to just introduce themselves and then just stand there? Nah, Leo needed something way more entertaining, and he knew just the thing.

Getting alcohol was actually easy, since Leo knew someone who could reluctantly supply him with some. Perks of being friends with an alcoholic. Leo himself didn't drink too much, if anything he did it rarely, so this was just his second time doing it or so. He didn't like it much so he doubted that this would prove to be dangerous. Anyways, the blonde feline was already near the center of camp so he was confident that he would be able to gain some attention quickly. All he had to do was make this sound interesting, which he doubted it wouldn't. After all, the game was prone to getting personal fast, and Leo liked that risk.

"Hey! Who wants to play a game called 'Never have I ever'? For those of you who don't know what it is, it's actually a drinking game but if you don't drink, then you can use a substitute. If you don't know how to play, we start with ten chances. Someone asks a question, say something like 'have you ever been in a relationship'. Everyone who has drinks and gets rid of one of their chances, so they have nine left. The game continues like that until the person who loses all of their chances first loses." Leo quickly explained then allowed a mischievous grin to form across his face. "Be warned that the questions might get personal. That's the point of the game. Not to mention that I need to get to know you guys better."

"Speaking of getting to know each other, my name's Leo!" The Chief Enforcer added, just to get that out of the way. Now all he had to do was wait for possible participants.

Leo, once again, was quite behind in who was who and what they were doing in the Rebellion. He knew Evergreen but that was about it - of course, that was assuming that everyone else he knew was no longer around. Anyways, the mere fact that he barely knew anyone was quite pathetic considering that he was a social butterfly and craved interaction with others. Suppressing a tired yawn, he made his way over to see what was going on, his eyes resting on each member in turn before finally settling upon the returning member. At first, Leo didn't think much of him, but soon his eyes flashed with instant recognition.

"Trevor?" Leo muttered to himself, his pink eyes wide with both hope and confusion. Was he really back or did Leo mistake him for someone else; he didn't hear the guy introduce himself, after all. If it were the latter, it would be highly embarrassing, but that was the last thing going through the blonde feline's mind. He hesitated, unsure of what to do, before deciding to trust his instincts and hope for the best. That was what he had always done for the past couple of days and so far, it worked quite well. For the most part. "Welcome back! Do you remember me? It's okay if not, I don't mind reintroducing myself!" The ex-chief enforcer continued in a cheerful tone of voice, a friendly smile quickly forming on his face. He was more than happy to see someone he knew back, he was afraid that it might get awfully lonely if he didn't succeed in making friends with the newer members.

/ i'm responding to this thread two months late i'm so lame lol

As his laughs slowly faded, Leo realized that breaking apart the kiss was actually almost disappointing. It was like getting off of a roller coaster and feeling empty as the earlier rush and energy was gone. Leo almost considered pushing his luck and doing it again, although he thankfully stopped that thought from commanding him to go through with it. It was much more fun when it didn't happen that often, as it made the action more special, in some way. Not to mention the fact that it wasn't like they broke contact yet, so he was perfectly happy simply keeping in physical contact. At Helix's comment, Leo felt a mischievous smirk form and he scoffed, "Seriously? I thought it was pretty good. I even thought up of it on the spot! I have to get some type of credit for it. It was, like, borderline your level flirtation." However, despite his witty retaliation, his cheeks were practically burning up. It was practically his go-to reaction to being called such things.

"It's raining?" He echoed part of Helix's statement, his eyes drifting up to the sky as if to check before he realized that his hair was beginning to drip. Oh, and his hair looked so nice today! Well, whatever, he supposed that there wasn't much he could do about it now except whine about it. Anyways, he actually didn't realize that it had been raining, as his mind was clearly elsewhere and ignored any type of weather inconveniences. Hell, he probably would have stayed there for hours if Helix hadn't mentioned that they should get inside. Strangely-hued pink eyes returned to rest upon Helix and he followed after him inside the house, wondering if it was warm inside. Leo didn't have enough money to pay for heating so he used as many blankets as he needed when it got cold. He thought that he would have enough money for heating soon but unfortunately, he was wrong, just like how he was wrong with a majority of his money estimates. It sucked.

Ugh, why was he thinking of his money issues when he came here to escape them? Honestly, his mind worked against him a majority of the time. The blonde closed and locked the front door behind him with his free hand before beginning to run it through his hair, shaking his hand off as it came back wet. "Yo, do you happen to have a towel or something? I feel like the entire ocean is in my hair." He asked with a small laugh. Leo felt a little bad asking for something, even if it was as simple as a towel, but he also didn't want to ruin any furniture, so he felt like it was almost necessary. Not to mention the fact that it was a little uncomfortable, just because he was now focusing on it rather than on something else.

    [fancypost borderwidth=0px; width:480px; text-align:justify;]
Leo had to admit, this wasn't what he expected to see today. Lately, he had spent a lot of time with himself, attempting to sort through his issues. Now that was all over, he could now see that all he did was waste his time, as he didn't learn anything about himself other than the fact that he did stupid things on a daily basis and that he needed the help of a god to get his life together. Anyways, the blonde feline had merely been passing by, wondering what he could do to get rid of his energy, before he caught sight of the gathering group. Who were they talking to? Pink eyes flickering with curiosity, Leo trotted over, letting out an audible gasp as he caught sight of the young bird. She reminded him of someone he used to be very good friends with, merely by her base species.

"Aw, you remind me of Erin! Although he was a vulture or hawk, not exactly your color. Still, he was pretty cool! I bet that you're cool, too!" Leo began, giving her a friendly grin. It was quite cool that they had another member joining, especially one as seemingly interesting as this one. Then, realizing that he didn't yet introduce himself, the blonde feline added with a playful salute of his paw, "Oh, my name's Leo, by the way. It's nice to meet you, Gwyn."

Leo wasn't one for welcoming himself inside other peoples' houses, especially when he wasn't initially invited, but since the door was open and he saw Evergreen walk inside, he decided that he might as well check it out and see what was going on. Of course, if it turned out that he wasn't invited, he would most definitely leave, yet no one told him that he couldn't just walk inside, say hello. It wasn't like he had been doing anything of importance anyway. In fact, all he was doing was searching for something entertaining to do, somewhat half-asleep due to his insomnia and somewhat energetic due to his ADHD - it was a cruel combination but at this point, the blonde male was more than used to it. Still, sometimes he even amazed himself when he managed to push past both of those factors and do what he wanted. It all depended, honestly, as a majority of his decisions were based on pure impulse, such as this one.

As Leo saw Evergreen follow after the other female, he decided to wait for a couple of seconds before following in her footsteps. It couldn't hurt to see what was up, could it? "Knock, knock, guess who. I see that you have the door open and although this is your house, I'm going to come in anyway. But if you really don't like me, then you can just kick me out. No hard feelings, I promise." Leo called as he rapped on the door with his knuckles for about two seconds before inviting himself in, a friendly smile on his face. "'Sup? Yo, Eve's here too? Looks like it's a party. Wait, whoa, is that coffee? Redbull, too? Can I have some of them? There's no way you plan on drinking it all alone, right? It's no fun doing that kind of stuff by yourself." His attention flipped from one subject to another, as per usual, and it took a while for some to get used to that. He used to not struggle with it so much yet as his insomnia grew worse, so did his attention span. Anyways, Leo was a bit of a coffee addict, which was why he instantly caught sight of it, his strangely-hued eyes flashing with recognition.

Leo would be lying if he said that he was used to the abrupt change of territories that occurred a couple of weeks, perhaps even months ago, back when An'ei was in charge. He had grown attached to the city and considered it to be his permanent home - the fact that he was no longer surrounded by buildings and empty streets made him feel strange, almost as if he wasn't himself anymore. He had spent multiple nights simply repeating his own name in his head, as if that would help distract him from the feeling of homesickness that constantly clawed at his stomach. He knew that he was most likely one of the very few of the members in the Rebellion who felt that way, as some of them had already lived in this current territory or were born here, which sucked because Leo had no one to speak to about that feeling. They simply wouldn't be able to relate. Leo had considered speaking to Helix about it but he pushed the thought away as soon as it came to mind, knowing very well that he couldn't burden his boyfriend with his petty problems. Therefore, he would merely have to get used to the new territory and make the best of it.

Still, staring at the territory before him, Leo felt alienated. He felt like he didn't belong and the mere feeling was enough to give him a headache - then again, that could be a result of the lack of sleep he got. At this point, he wasn't certain what his headaches were caused by due to the fact that they could be caused by three different things. Letting out a small sigh of both irritation and exhaustion, Leo leaned up against a nearby wall and squeezed his eyes shut, trying not to think about what was currently bugging him. He was known for his optimism, he couldn't be giving in to his thoughts as easily as this. The blonde feline was trying his best, though, so perhaps that counted for something? He honestly didn't want to lose touch with what made him...well, him.

He then slowly, almost reluctantly, opened his pink eyes, scanning the light blue and pale orange splashed across the sky above him. At least the sky was very pretty at dawn.
