Birbclan cats live in the city outside of the Fourclans territory. You can easily find it by following the Thunderpath.

Birbclan cats are rogues and don't understand the way of the warriors that well. However, they do have a naming system. A kit would have an individual name and no suffix. Let's say a cat is born and it is named Blue. The kit is named Blue. After a half of a year, kits become apprentices.

As an apprentice, Blue would take the name Hatchling Blue. Apprentices are trained for half a year in medicine, combat and hunting. Apprentices take 3 separate assesments. To be a Warrior you must pass Combat. Warriors typically fight in battles, do border patrols, and deal with border skirmishes. A Hunter needs to pass Hunting. Hunters hunt for the clan and in return get first pick of the fresh kill. A cat that succeeds in passing Medicine may work in the Medicine Branch. There is an unlimited amount of medicine cats who also fight and hunt with warriors, almost like Medics in the movie Saving Private Ryan, who fight and tend to wounds.

Hunters take the prefix Sparrow. If Blue becomes a Hunter, Blue will become Sparrow Blue.

Warriors take the prefix Raven. If Blue becomes a Warrior, Blue will become Raven Blue.

Medicine cats take the prefix Dove. If Blue becomes a medic, Blue will become Dove Blue.

There are three options after becoming a warrior.

1) Most warriors retire at 6 years of service. Add this to a half a year as a kit and a half a year in apprentice training, and that shows you that most elders become elders at 7 years. An elder is given the prefix Owl. Say Blue retires. Blue is now Owl Blue.

2) A warrior may apply for a deputy spot. There are 3 deputy spots. This is because Amus, the main governing body of Birbclan, has several members and in case one dies there are three open picks for the Parliament to choose from. Becoming a deputy does not guarantee you the spot as a Leader. Each deputy is selected from a different faction(Warriors, Hunters, Medics). Deputies take the title of Hawk and represent their faction. If Blue were to become a Deputy, Blue would become Hawk Blue.

Some Deputies may become leaders. Amus votes on which deputy will become a leader after one dies. Leaders are leaders for the rest of their life and are granted 3 lives by Higher Thinking, the afterlife of Birbclan. There are 5 leaders in Amus, and they usually never have a majority. There cannot be more than two leaders from each Faction in Amus, or it would cause civil unrest. Say Blue becomes a leader. Blue would either be referred to as Birb Blue(informal) or Falcon Blue(formal)

3) A female warrior can take a mate and become a Queen. Queens share a den and are not separated by Factions. Medics CAN become queens, unlike the traditional clan values. However, this is disruptive to daily clan life if few medics are available. Queens don't take a new name.

Birbclan lives in a larger city.

Birbclan camp is in an alleyway. Dens are situated in abandoned buildings within the alley.

Amus, the main governing body, meets in a fountain square. Cats wishing to watch the debates sit around the circle.

This room, Moontower, is in an abandoned building. Doves meet up with Higher Thinking at this point. The Hawk that leads the Dove faction lives in this area.

Higher Thinking's paradise looks somewhat like this.

Birbclan cats believe in an afterlife called Higher Thinking. Lucky cats may be visited by their deceased loved ones in their dreams. Higher Thinking's realm is a floating city in the stars, the floating city of Agnamemnon. There the realm is ruled by cats, cats filled with human wisdom that they can share with mortals as they wish. They are also gifted with prophetic abilities.

Birbclan cats are realists and show personality and spunk. They are almost humanlike in their ability to make music, art and literature. Birbclan cats sometimes have parties late into the night, dance in the streets, have fun and explore the city. They live with the rhythm of the city just like the humans that live there. Humans rarely bother them. Birbclan cats come in all shapes and sizes, and some even have dyed fur(they found some dye in the trash and decided to use it. It's art.)

Birbclan does have segregation: the three factions, Doves, Ravens and Sparrows, often argue. However, Amus steps in before any argument becomes serious.

Earlier in Birbclan's history, there was a faction war... but it was resolved by the addition of the Hawks. There used to be only one Hawk and a majority in Amus. However, after the resolution of the war, the addition of two Hawks and the expulsion of the prospect for majority in Amus made the peace a resounding one.

Birbclan cats most often attach themselves to their faction.
