He had been sleeping peacefully for once, eyes shut tight as he curled softly against his bed, listening to the howling winds just outside the buildings. Such a sleep hadn't lasted long however, as folks began shouting, and words were tossed from everyone's mouth and lost within the winds. It was enough to stir Balthazar, and piercing emerald eyes opened within a heartbeat once he realized what was going on, and all that charm and flirtatious spirit he oozed at all waking hours was replaced by a stern seriousness, and a need for survival. Gathering himself up and getting onto his paws, the male had begun following instructions, paws thudding against the now slick ground as he tried not to fall, joining up with the group, his own voice being added to the frantic shouts.

"How many are left inside?" his baritone voice rang, paws poised to dart back inside to grab anybody left behind if it was needed of him, his eyes looking around for familiar faces and those he wanted to see out of harms way. Reyna came into view, and he made his way over to her, pelted against the wind and rain as he stopped once near, hissing as he watched the house being swept away.

"Are you alright? Can you stand?" he shouted to her over the wind and rain, eyes bright and wide as he offered her a paw to help her get back up if she needed help.

He remained politely quiet as Alejandro ambled his way over, his green eyes glancing at the familiar tiger once before returning to look back out the window. His electrical emerald eyes cast over the looming crowds and drizzling rain, watching as droplets slid down the windows glass, and how the world outside was tremendously dark— brightened only by flashes of lightning which were only followed by the rumble of thunder.

As Alejandro spoke, he once more turned to look at the tiger, listening politely, a small smile upon his inky maw. It was a pleasure to hear the tiger speak after all, and to see him without his usual shyness was a real treat, Balthazar thought— perhaps it came with being sleepless and tired.

"I suppose you could say that," the excitable tom said, his voice much more calmer than usual, to accustom for the night, and since he also took pleasure in the sound of the rain hitting the roof of the building. It was a sound he didn't want to miss- but if it was to talk with the tiger, Balthazar didn't mind as much.

"It's not often I get a good nights sleep nowadays, perhaps to the point where I'm not sure if I even need it anymore—" he joked, stopping to chuckle ever so slightly. "It's always so quiet in the rooms I find, and I much prefer ambiance. Makes sleeping easier... in case of this storm though, its been so loud, and quite flashy. I couldn't miss it for the world," he mused, humming lightly to himself afterwards as he looked between the tiger and the outside world as he spoke, nodding his head as he did so. Truth be told, ambiance could have accounted for many a thing- from the actual outside weather to the gentle sound of someone else sleeping in the room, but Balthazar for once was content with normal conversation not laced with innuendos or flirtatious movements, and he felt fine simply being near Alejandro while he listened to the rain with fine, soft conversation as to not disturb the others who slept.

"Hm. I guess they can be disruptive of normal sleep patterns though," he added, almost as if an addendum to what he had said early, voice even softer as he gazed back at the tiger, head tilted.

//WHOOP didn't realize you meant she had fallen into the water my bad

It was a good thing she had managed to pull herself out, since Balthazar hadn't initially noticed she had slipped under it all with the poor lighting conditions and the thick of rain that fell about them. Though when her paw had touched his he realized otherwise, and was helpless as she puked up the water she has taken in. There wasn't much to do in such a situation really, and the feline stroked her shoulder for comfort with his tail, pressing his body close to hers for both support and comfort if she needed it, hoping to find someone in the crowd who maybe knew her more- her face was a little on the unfamiliar side of things to him, after all.

"It'll be OK- are you good to walk? Did you break anything?" he asked, bright eyes scanning for the group through the miserable and dangerous weather, ears and eyes alert- he didn't want to miss anyone else who could have gotten swept away this time- once was already close enough and one too many.

Balthazar understood, nodding his head and his eyes burned with an intensity not normally seen within their bright green depths- but it was do or die out here, everyone seemed to know that now, but the feline would have been damned if he simply left Reyna behind, no matter how well he knew her or not.

"We best start moving then," he said, his tone from against the pouring rain and scarcely heard even if it was a shout, and at feeling the taller animal press against him he started to steadily walk at whatever pace she needed- his steps carrying the urgency of the situation with each trudge through the slippery ground, wary of the edges so near to the water now. "Get to Blizzardclan! Any ally!" was being shouted now, looked like the territory was too dangerous, even for high land then, it seemed. It was also good to hear Tauriel's voice, to know she was OK amidst all of the turmoil- and Balth hoped the same could have been said for many others, too.

His main priority as of then though was to follow orders and to help Reyna get to safety, green eyes from as they looked straight ahead.
