[fancypost borderwidth=0px; width: 500px; line-height: 12px; text-align: justify; font-size: 12px;]Okay. This was not okay. She was not okay.

Alicia was known for being an optimist, but right now there was no bloody optimistic way to look at her current predicament. She was going to die. The thing was walking towards her on long hairy legs and staring at her through large eyes as black as the night sky. A night sky without any stars that was for there was no lovely light in the creature's eyes. She was pretty sure the darn thing was licking it's chops - wait, did it even have a tongue to lick with? Ali didn't know and quite frankly she didn't want to know. Well she probably would know soon because she was pretty darn sure it was going to eat her.

The cream tabby feline was backed up against a tree with nowhere else to move. If she had been thinking clearly then she probably would have climbed the tree because she was a cat and cats could climb trees. Alas fear had a way of messing with the brain and Alicia was most certainly scared, something one could see by the way her mouth hung slightly open and her forest green eyes were wide and swimming with horror. She was going to die, she was totally going to die.

But what could she do? She couldn't walk around it or try and get past it because what if it jumped at her? Then she'd still be dead. Plus it was rearing up and it looked angry so there was no way she was just gonna try and slip away from it. The creature had definitely seen her. Oh, wait. She could call for help - there was probably someone hanging around somewhere.

"Guys?" Ali called, her voice trembling slightly as she spoke, breath catching in her throat as her green eyes stared at the rather menacing creature as it advanced towards her on it's long hairy legs. "H-help?!" Came the feline's second call, hoping that someone was nearby to come and rescue her. But... But what if it ate them too?

Oh, yeah - probably a good time to mention the fact that the creature advancing towards her was a spider. Only the size of her paw but Ali had never been able to deal with spiders, in fact she had arachnophobia. It was a stupid thing to fear but she was pretty sure she was going to get eaten - whoever came along was likely to just laugh at the site of Ali petrified because a spider was walking towards her.

// this is the stupidest thread ever,, but i was bored and wanted to give her a phobia of something

[fancypost borderwidth=0px; width: 500px; line-height: 12px; text-align: justify; font-size: 12px;]Oh god, oh god. How could everyone be so calm about it? Plutia was torturing someone? How could they all just stand there and take it. Oh god, oh god no. This was not alright, this was so not alright. Her stomach was churning and she could hear Plutia cracking the whip down on the serval and Ali just wanted to be sick. She didn't care what the chick had done - there were better ways to deal with things than torture. She wanted to get up and leave but she didn't want to be called out for being "weak" or even disloyal due to her inability to put up with the torture.

The cream tabby cat's saw Fabian take a seat beside her and felt him nudge her shoulder gently with his nose. She attempted to smile at him but due to how she was feeling and the way her stomach was flipping over and over and threatening to empty its content, the smile probably looked more like a grimace. Oh well, Fabian might have made an attempt to comfort her but right now he was as bad a the others and it made her feel sick. Ali's discomfort and feelings about the situation were written all over her face but the others just sat there taking it. They didn't seem disturbed at all by it and it disgusted her.

[fancypost borderwidth=0px; width: 500px; line-height: 12px; text-align: justify; font-size: 12px;]Slightly critical green eyes watched the male as he sighed, and she watched his body hunch over slightly. Honestly she didn't mean to sound as angry as she was coming off. It wasn't even her place to be angry, it wasn't like her father had left her. Well he had but Volcanicstar wasn't her father and it was him that they were talking about. Him and his goddamn stupid decision to walk towards a volcano and then never come back, thus leaving his family and friends to believe he was dead.

He was talking about her doing him a favour and the tabby cat refrained from rolling her eyes or huffing at him. God, she didn't want to be keeping his secret. She didn't want to be the only one knowing he was alive - she didn't want to have to live her life with the knowledge of his existence being some huge secret. Ali was also a pretty shitty secret keeper, but considering this one had the possibility of hurting more than a few of the people she knew then she'd keep it close to her. She would actually try this time.

Taking a seat, the she-cat wrapped her tail over her paws as he spoke of being an idiot - this did cause her to roll her green eyes. "I'm not going to lie to you here - you're definitely an idiot," she stated, breaking her frown with a small smile to show she didn't mean the words in an offensive manner. From what she could see he at least... felt bad for it. Or maybe he was just embarrassed by the fact he'd walked into a volcano and he didn't care for his family at all. But he certainly seemed like the type to care for his family.

"Why don't you come back? You could, y'know. You could come back with me." As she spoke she looked out at him with green eyes that had softened slightly, ones that the anger had faded out of when he admitted to being an idiot. He admitted he was an idiot and she'd realised it wasn't really her place to be angry with him, he hadn't done anything to her. Even as she spoke with a small smile, Ali knew he wouldn't go back with her. He'd asked her to keep his secret for a reason. He wasn't going back.

"Don't bother answering that - I already know you won't. After all, you told me to keep the fact that I know you're alive a secret, so I'm guessing you're not planning on coming back." Alicia spoke the words as if it didn't phase her that he wasn't coming back. It did though. It meant she had to deal with his secret and the friends she had would never see him again. So she changed the subject.

"How old are you? When people spoke of you, I always imagined you to be, y'know... older. Wow, that sounds bad - but you're younger than I thought you'd be." Her tone was curious and her words were actually quite genuine. She did want to know how old he was. He looked about her age, but older or younger she didn't know.

[fancypost borderwidth=0px; width: 500px; line-height: 12px; text-align: justify; font-size: 12px;]whoo, i'm up for ali getting tortured she is so against purposeful infliction of pain this will ruin her to have it happen to her

[fancypost borderwidth=0px; width: 500px; line-height: 12px; text-align: justify; font-size: 12px;]"Are you serious?" The cream tabby didn't even have to take her eyes off the quickly moving creepy-crawly to know who was talking. She recognised the voice, even with the amusement lacing it. Daryl. They hadn't really spoken a lot but she had been around the guy enough to recognise his voice when she heard it. Plus the heavy paw steps had indicated a larger creature and a tiger was pretty spot on when it came to large.

Ali was on the verge of asking him if he was going to help her or just laugh at her when he grumbled something about girls and spiders. Then suddenly the spider before her was on fire and within a few short moments it was nothing more than dust on the ground, which actually left Ali feeling sick as he asked if she was alright with him having killed it. Green eyes wide she glanced up at the guy, taking in his smirk and shooting him a thankful smile for his help before responding. "Actually - no. Not how you did it anyway. Like c'mon - you could of just killed it. Instead you torched it, that must have hurt like crazy. No instant death there." Ali's words were spoken with a slightly amused smile to show she didn't mean anything by them and she was indeed joking.

Then Birdtunes was there, an amused look spreading across her face as she took in the scene. Alicia didn't blame her - she knew how it must have looked to see Ali scared shitless by a spider, something barely the size of her paw. Despite the fact that Ali had never been a kittypet or property of two-legs, her quite irrational fear of spiders was just something she'd never been able to shake. Birdy's words to Daryl did cause a grin to appear on the girl's face, though. Yeah - Ali liked this chick.

[fancypost borderwidth=0px; width: 500px; line-height: 12px; text-align: justify; font-size: 12px;]Ah, so the the guy knew how to smile after all! He looked a lot better when he smiled. But then again so did everyone - a smile was the best thing you could wear and Ali practically lived by that saying. Anyone who knew her knew that it was a rare thing indeed to see her without a smile on her face. She was an optimist through and through, sometimes she wondered if it was the only likable thing about her. It was obvious she had a fiery temper and she was also passionate when it came down to what she believed in, she was also prone to being pretty darn naive. Was her optimism the only reason people liked her? Ali sure hoped not because sometimes it was hard to find the good in every situation she came across.

When he confirmed that he wasn't coming back anytime soon she gave a nod of her head. After all, she'd been expecting it and so him confirming it didn't change much to the pale furred girl. Then he was answering her question about his age and it came to her attention that he was only a moon older. There really wasn't much of an age gap between them at all and Ali felt stupid for expecting so much of the tomcat. He was still young - as was she. The way people had talked of him made him sound older but he certainly wasn't and she supposed that having leadership thrust upon you at fifteen moons of age must have been stressful. Yet her guilt at expecting more of him didn't show and instead she kept her smile in place, face morphing into a look of mock offense as he said he had thought she was a moon old.

"Gee! Pick on the short people much," she teased with a grin, giving him a well meant roll of her bright green eyes once more. So the boy also had a sense of humour. Ali found it easy to slip into friendly banter, even if she did barely know the guy. She also didn't mind pointing out the fact that she was a little bit on the shorter side of average height. It was a well known and very obvious fact - most people her age were taller than her. Volcanicstar was tall anyhow, yet next to the short figure of Ali he looked much taller. Alicia didn't mind the fact that she was short though, she liked to call it fun sized anyway, not short.

"Fourteen moons, actually." The tabby cat offered with a bright smile in his direction, green eyes on the taller boy as he raised his posture with his paw to his chest. Despite the fact he had sort of walked out on his family, Ali found herself liking the guy. He had seemed awkward at first but he had a pretty darn good sense of humour - plus he was polite which was always a plus.

[fancypost borderwidth=0px; width: 500px; line-height: 12px; text-align: justify; font-size: 12px;]The cream furred girl could be spotted by the stream, crouched and drinking slowly from the chilly and surprisingly clean water. One couldn't see it by the way she was crouched by the water but the feline was a little shaky on her paws and didn't quite appear to be her usual cheerful self. Truth be told, she wasn't feeling like herself. Her head was spinning and her stomach was churning, twisting slightly when she even thought of the cause. Plutia had taken it upon herself to torture someone in front of the whole clan, something which had Alicia feeling less than perky and cheery. One of the things Ali was most against was the purposeful infliction of pain, especially when there were ways around it. In the case at hand, the scene had left Alicia feeling sickened and outraged - mainly sickened though.

Filling her stomach with the cool water of the stream, the tabby cat had lifted herself up and onto her feet again. Hearing paw steps behind her, the she-cat, who was feeling quite on edge at the moment, whipped around, half expecting someone to be there ready to torture her. Alas her startled green eyes only landed upon a tall and lanky white furred figure - a familiar white furred figure. Someone she knew was definitely not here to torture her. God, what was she thinking - why was she so on edge?

Managing a smile the feline spoke. "Hey, Fabian." Ali greeted, pushing the smile onto her maw and fighting to keep it there. What was with her today?
