[fancypost borderwidth=0px; width: 500px; line-height: 12px; text-align: justify; font-size: 12px;]Ali was pretty darn sure that her head was going to explode. It had turned out that someone everyone thought to be dead wasn't, and who was the only person who knew the truth? Alicia, of course. Not their family or friends, but a girl they'd met accidentally. She was quite possibly one of the worst secret keepers but the secret she was keeping would probably upset half the clan and she wasn't going to unleash what she knew. Besides, she'd made a promise. So despite her inner turmoil the feline had made herself wear a smile. She'd only been here a short time but she was already known for being bright and optimistic constantly and so she was going to keep it up. Ali didn't want to be harbouring the former leader's secret but there wasn't a whole lot she could do about the situation. So to take her mind of things the girl had decided to go for a hunt.
At this very moment the cream tabby could be spotted crouched in some long grass, keeping her belly low to the ground. Her green eyes were resting on a magpie that was perched upon a tree root jutting up out of the ground. She was readying to pounce on the creature when a cracking of twigs behind her sounded and her lunch took off with a squawk and some hasty wing flapping. Her almond shaped eyes followed the flying bird as it took off for a few moments before deciding it didn't matter. She wasn't starving, catching the bird wasn't a necessity. So instead of following it, the pretty feline turned on her paws and pushed her usual friendly smile onto her maw to face whoever it was that had scared her bird off. She wasn't bothered by it, something stated very clearly by her smile.

[fancypost borderwidth=0px; width: 500px; line-height: 12px; text-align: justify; font-size: 12px;]When Ali had called out asking if anyone would like to come help her decorate, she didn't quite know what she was in for. Only a few moments after she had spoken something jumped at the basket at her paws. Startled slightly the green-eyed girl had jumped back until her mind could register what was happening. Shiren was attacking the paints! Quickly the cream tabby girl had righted the upturned basket and hurriedly scrambled to stuff the decorations back in. Unfortunately she'd only been able to salvage a small amount of paint. A good 3/4 of the paints she'd collected had gone to waste due to the claws of the kid. Some of the paint bottles had split open and the paint had spilled out onto the ground, effectively tainting Ali's paws with varying shades of blue and pink - both colours which stood out brightly against her light creamy fur. At first her smile dropped as she realised how much paint had gone to waste. But she was determined not to let it get to her and so she dismissed her dismayed expression and instead pushed her smile back into the place, keeping the basket much closer to her this time. So they had a little less paint than before but that'd be alright.
Ali was known for her optimism and cheeriness, it would've been a shame indeed if she'd let the paint ordeal get to her. So instead she kept her smile up, even as her eyes drifted to Kitten and the girl gave her a rather blunt "no". Well, each to their own she supposed. It might've been a little more polite to say "no thank you" but she supposed some people were just more blunt than others. So Alicia gave the girl a smile and a nod of her head as if to say it was all good. Then her gaze moved to Mamura as he began to speak. At first she thought she was about to get disappointed again for it sounded like he was on the verge of telling her he simply didn't decorate. But then his gaze shot to the ground and he gave her a simple "fine". His answer caused her somewhat strained smile to brighten and her green eyes lit up. "Yes, thank you!" Ali exclaimed with a grin, giving him a thankful smile as she spoke. Mura might be shy and nervous as hell but he was gonna help and he was a nice guy. Then Plutia showed up and her smile stretched wider. She didn't know a whole heap about Plutia but she was pretty darn creative and it had been amusing indeed to see Mamura's reaction to the Mudmura.

[fancypost borderwidth=0px; width: 500px; line-height: 12px; text-align: justify; font-size: 12px;]"Are you not mad?" The name's question brought slight amusement to the girl's eyes. Mad? Why should she be? He had spluttered out an apology but now he seemed bewildered by the smile showing on her maw. You see, that was the thing about Ali - she was extremely lighthearted and unfathomably kind and friendly. Optimism was basically her second name and it was rare that she let the actions of others upset or annoy her - she liked to see the best in others even when it was hard to find. So no - she wasn't mad, although most people probably would be at least a little bit. But no, not Ali. So the answer to his question was no - she wasn't mad at him.
"No, it's a bird - there's lots of birds, it's really not a problem. No need to apologise." The cream furred feline explained, giving a small shake of her head as she spoke. Her green eyes flickered over the cinnamon furred tabby cat, noticing that he seemed a little younger than she was. "Alicia Carr, by the way - call me Ali."

[fancypost borderwidth=0px; width: 500px; line-height: 12px; text-align: justify; font-size: 12px;]The emerald eyes of the feline had watched as Mamura sort of froze for a few moments after her cheery thanks. But then something rather extraordinary happened, and right before Ali's own eyes, too! The corner of the leopard's lips were tugged upwards into a smile as he glanced up at her and he spoke, actually managing to give her a sentence without stuttering over his words. It was probably the first time he had spoken a sentence to Alicia without pausing or stuttering awkwardly - it was also the first time he'd done so whilst smiling and looking at her. Fancy that! He was cuter and much more warm seeming when he let a smile appear on his face and if Ali hadn't have known he'd probably get embarrassed by her saying so then she would've said it. But she didn't, and before she could dwell on it another clan-mate was causing the guy's smile to drop, oops.
Apparently Mamura was not too keen on Plutia after the whole "Mudmura" thing. The cream tabby furred girl couldn't blame him, but one had to admit that the whole situation had certainly been a little amusing. Plus she was happy to have Plutia on board for the decorating, she seemed pretty crafty. Alicia couldn't help the amusement from showing in her green eyes as Mura quite literally face-pawed. Then he was talkng about muradolls and mudmuras. Now the Mudmura Ali knew about - but muradolls? Now this was a whole new thing entirely and the tabby cat decided she'd have to ask Plutia just what the muradolls were. Or had been - for Mura had probably had them destroyed or something.
Next to make an appearance was Daryl, someone whom Ali had met briefly upon joining the clan. She couldn't really say she'd had a whole lot to do with the bloke since then. But here he was, making his way over and scolding Shiren for the attack on the paints - words which prompted a startling hiss from the dragon kid. Or brat. Yes, Ali didn't normally have anything bad to say about others but the dragon was a brat. He said he'd help with a smile and then offered to conjure up some more paints for them to use if she'd like. Returning his smile with her usual bright one she gave a nod of her head. "Yes, please! That'd be really great, actually! Thank you," Ali responded, giving another nod of her head as she spoke. Conjuration... now that was a power Alicia thought would often come in handy. If she was going to have any power she'd choose that one - or super speed.
From the corners of her eye the feline spotted Shiren moving to attack the paints and quickly Ali used a paw to pull the basket back away from the brat's claws. Shiren was a pain in the behind, but she supposed the dragon was still a kid and as such, still had a lot to learn. Especially about manners, apparently.

[fancypost borderwidth=0px; width: 500px; line-height: 12px; text-align: justify; font-size: 12px;]Alecta? Was she another one of Iason's kids? By the familiar way the dragon greeted the kid Ali guessed that she was. Making her way over on somewhat short but slender legs, the cream furred girl wore her usual bright smile on her maw. The lion cub was already pretty much bigger than her but Alicia didn't let her phase her as she came to a halt near Bramblingpaw, nodding her head at both Iason and the apprentice she'd met that time he'd accidentally scared off her lunch. "Hi, I'm Alicia - just call me Ali though." The ever optimistic and lighthearted girl said with a smile, green eyes now on the snowy coloured kid. Were most people as cheery and bubbly as Ali was all the time? No, not usually. Did it stop her from being those things at all? Obviously not.

[fancypost borderwidth=0px; width: 500px; line-height: 12px; text-align: justify; font-size: 12px;]If Beth had been hoping to find someone who was completely, utterly and one hundred percent on board with this road trip idea then she had found the right person, alright. Alicia Carr was known for being amazing lighthearted, bubbly and optimistic - but she was also known for her love of travelling and the fact that she was quite impulsive. So when her phone had been buzzing on the bedside table and Ali had rather sleepily checked the message, she'd pretty much shot up out of bed. A road trip? To New York? To Ali, the road trip sounded like a grand idea indeed. So the blonde had shot out of bed, throwing on a pair of light denim shorts, a loose cream tank top and her favourite pair of light pink and blue Nike runners. That was classic Alicia style though - if she was going somewhere it'd be in shoes she felt comfortable in and due to the fact that she was a runner, she felt most at home in the shoes. Her blonde hair had been left down in it's usual state of natural beach waves.
Already feeling energised despite the fact that she'd not long gotten out of bed, it didn't take her long to find the light blue backpack up in her cupboard. Grabbing it she stuffed the essentials in - clothes, shoes, toothbrush, deodorant, hair brush, shampoo and conditioner, razor and of course her phone charger. Slipping a hair tie around her wrist in case she needed it, Ali grabbed her phone from her bedside table before heading out of the room. Her roommate worked at the hospital and wouldn't be back until lunch time - by which Alicia would be long gone. So she scribbled a quick note and left it on the bench, telling her that she was going on a road trip and she'd see her in a few days. It was then that the blonde haired girl remembered money. They would probably need some. Ducking back into her room she grabbed her wallet, stuffing it into her bag as well. She wasn't by any means rich but she had a well paying job as a waitress and so she had a decent amount of money. Plus she gathered they'd be buying stuff at servo stations and stops along the way so it's not like it'd be too expensive - also she doubted she'd be the only one who brought money.
It didn't take the tanned and athletic looking girl long to reach the Starbucks at all and soon she was with the group, green eyes surveying those who had already gathered. A few of them looked tired and disgruntled but Ali was, as per usual, looking alive with a friendly smile showing on her face. "Hey guys," she greeted with a grin, her voice probably too loud and cheery for this time of the morning, whilst she tossed up whether or not she should grab a drink. A coffee or something was tempting but she didn't really feel like it and besides, she'd thrown a bottle of water into her bag along with a few muesli bars for everyone to snack on so she didn't need to waste money just yet.
Hearing Plutia's question about Mura, the blonde shook her head with a smirk. "Nope - looks like you beat him." She stated, amusement showing on her face as she spoke. Hopefully Mamura was coming on the trip, it'd be a real shame if he didn't. Ali found herself liking the guy - as a friend of course - despite his nervousness and it was quite amusing when Plutia and Mura were anywhere near each other, let alone in a car together for hours on end!

[fancypost borderwidth=0px; width: 500px; line-height: 12px; text-align: justify; font-size: 12px;]Despite the fact that Ali was seen with a smile on her face and her green eyes alight with warmth a good 90% of the time, it was not a smile adorning her maw as she made her way over. Moving quickly the smaller feline came to a halt somewhere near Mura, her wide almond-shaped eyes showing concern. The cream tabby girl had been out hunting when she'd heard the screams, it seemed she wasn't the only one who had either because many others had rocked up as well. The guy seemed to be alright, though - shaken, but alive and apparently uninjured. There wasn't much to be happy about considering someone had nearly murdered the lad but she was thankful he was alright. Alicia and murder, harm or torture did not mix - purposely inflicting pain on someone was not her thing and she didn't unless she had to. Which was good because it meant she managed to avoid conflict most of the time, but now whoever had done such a thing to the NPC was not on the cream tabby's good side that was for sure.
Kitten had shrugged her shoulders when questioned but surely she must have seen something. It had happened right near her, after all! Alicia knew the other girl was a little cold, but surely she wouldn't... She couldn't possibly have... but what if she had? No. Kitten had basically said she hadn't and Ali would believe her.
