[shadow=black, left]Cloudia ran as fast as she could, dodging people when they were in the way. She stopped when she saw the investigation up ahead. She had to be a good couple minutes away from the box. Instead of going back to where they originally met, she decided against going past the tape. It would take a minute for her breathing to return to normal while she waited for Jane to show up.
That woman... who was she? The boy said the box felt warm and they heard a mechanical like sound from inside. Based on that description, it was highly possible that the police box was the TARDIS that belonged to the Doctor. That meant Jane could be one of three things: a thief, a companion, or the Doctor.[/shadow]
-
[shadow=black, left]Jane seemed to be taking a while. It could have been Cloudia's own impatience. Getting bored of standing around in the same spot, she went to the tape and showed them her paper. Once they let her in, the brunette returned to the investigation at the water. Her mind was still thinking about who Jane was.
True, but I meant it as a thief of the Doctor.[/shadow]
-
[shadow=black, left]Cloudia turned around to the familiar voice. With a proud smile, she began to speak. 'It was a bit difficult, but I did get something that might be helpful in our search.' She took her notepad out of her pocket and flipped through it. She paused on the last page where she wrote some information about the alien's appearance. 'Whatever we're dealing with is large and/or powerful due to the damage it caused to the edges of the lake. Also, it seems to have left some sort of slim based materials behind.' She looked up from the notes. 'There was also a witness. A child. They claimed that they saw a creature in the water that looked like a slug, yet different. The investigation team didn't want to ask any questions though. They thought it was the witness's imagination.'
She met the witness in an elderly's home. They told Cloudia about what they thought they saw, and she listened. That story was the reason why she even came to investigate the situation.[/shadow]
-
[shadow=black, left]'So,' Cloudia began again as she put the notepad up, 'where do we have to go now? I'm more than willing to provide aid in finding this alien. And don't tell me that it's too dangerous!' A smile returned to her face. 'I'm use to danger. Also, to be honest, I bore easily of this planet. So chasing after an alien might be just what I need in life.'[/shadow]
-
[shadow=black, left]'Wouldn't have said it, if I wasn't willing. And I believe it's time for you to answer my question. Where to now?' Cloudia asked again. Her smile hadn't faded off her face yet. She placed her hands in her jacket pockets as she waited for Jane's reaction. This person was interesting. Couldn't be a thief. Probably a female version of the Doctor or a companion. Both of them would be the type to run into danger to save others. A thief, not as likely.[/shadow]
-
[shadow=black, left]Cloudia was a bit surprised by this news. She never left Earth before, so it should be exciting to go beyond the planet's atmosphere. Radioactive alien's or not. Deciding to put her excitement to good use. 'You have a ship?' The brunette asked with a laugh. After a moment, she bit her lip. 'How long will the trip take? Not that I'm backing out. It's just that space travel to the moon can take about four days. And I don't even know what or where Vesitor is.'[/shadow]
-
[shadow=black, left][tt]'Twenty seconds? It can go that fast?' The woman asked with surprise. Inside Cloudia's mind, she was trying to figure it out. With each word Jane said. Based off what the other female said earlier about companions, it was more than possible for her to be the Doctor. Though that wasn't enough to solve this matter. Maybe going to Vesitor or their return to Earth would tell her the identity of Jane. Cloudia also had to be careful. One small gester to her own identity and who knows what could happen. Outside her mind, she smiled again. 'I suppose the true question is, when do I see her?'
-
[shadow=black, left]'It has a gender? I mean, I just called it-her by a female pronoun because people always do it. We always call our cars, pirate ships, and land by female pronouns.' Cloudia justified her reason behind calling the TARDIS a her. 'How does your ship have a gender?'[/shadow]
-
[shadow=black, left]Cloudia's thoughts were now on the TARDIS. Would the box make the connection between her and her father? She knew it was living so it had to have intelligence. Being something that can travel through all of time a space, would it know everything about Cloudia? 'Ship, right? We need to hurry since this alien might be dangerous to our planet.' She spoke after a moment.[/shadow]
-
[shadow=black, left]'Following.' Cloudia responded, staying behind the other. She already knew where the TARDIS was so she had to pretend that she didn't. 'What does she look like?'[/shadow]
-
[shadow=black, left]'True. Although, some excited people don't mind spoilers.' Cloudia sing-songed. She was the type of person to travel ahead of time to see what the surprise was. Not that she would admit her watch could get her to preform time travel. That was the sad thing for her. As long as she was with Jane and the TARDIS, she couldn't cheat time, unless she was willing to let both know what the watch was. The brunette smiled slightly as an idea came to mind.
'Tell me, alien...' she paused for a moment to give Jane even a second to react, 'expert, have you ever felt the urge to know what a surprise is before you get it? Sneaking down to peek at Christmas gifts before Christmas Day?'[/shadow]
-
[shadow=black, left]Got ya. Cloudia thought to herself. A companion wouldn't have cared about being called an alien. The Doctor would, if they want it to stay a secret. That idea just sparked an devilish game within her mind. Nothing dangerous. Just a bit of fun on Cloudia's part. 'Not a Christmas person. I'm not much of one either. Though I do love the idea of giving out gifts to loved ones. So, alien...' She paused in speak again. 'Um... planets, do they have Christmas? Or is that just an Earth thing?'[/shadow]
-
[shadow=black, left]'Which one would that be?' Cloudia asked, fighting the desire to sneak another 'alien pause' moment in there. She couldn't do it too often or Jane would catch on. Yep, even mentally, she would call the Doctor that. At least, until the Time Lady admitted. The brunette was thinking up different ways to have fun with Jane's secret identity. She couldn't just keep saying alien. That would get dull.[/shadow]
-
[shadow=black, left]Taleo and Vesitor. It seemed easy to remember the names. Cloudia nodded with acknowledgement. She thought for a moment before daring to make her next statement. 'It would be nice, if we could travel back to when it wasn't a desert. Time travel doesn't exist though. That's a shame.'[/shadow]
-
[shadow=black, left]Cloudia decided to stop with anything that might have Jane be on guard. She needed to stop asking and talking about subjects that closely link to what Time Lords are known for. 'Perhaps. Anyways, I want to get to know you better.' She began. 'What do you like to do? Outside of aliens and space.'[/shadow]
-
[shadow=black, left]Once the TARDIS was unlocked, Cloudia stared for a moment. She took a second to walk around the outside of the box. Coming to the doors again, she decided to enter finally. The brunette's face was beaming as she glanced around the place. 'I'm not sure if this is your lab, house, ship, or what.' Cloudia looked back to Jane. 'But whatever it is, she is beautiful.'[/shadow]
-
[shadow=black, left]'Risk of radiation poising versus never seeing another planet while helping to protect Earth.' Cloudia spoke thoughtfully, as if she was really considering the decision. She smiled again. 'I choose the adventurous one. Besides, the radiation risk isn't going to stop you. Is it?'[/shadow]
-
[shadow=black, left]Cloudia got closer to the console and rested her hands on the edge, being careful to avoid the buttons and levers. 'Because, if you do, people might die or because doing it keeps you sane?' She couldn't stop herself from asking that question. Once the words left her lips, she faced Jane again. This was probably the first time that she was that serious since she met the woman.[/shadow]
-
[shadow=black, left]She never heard of the Doctor having a brother before. Who was the man and what happened to him? Those were questions that Cloudia thought best remained unasked, no matter how curious she was about it. 'The innocence of Earth is lucky to have someone like you protecting them.' A light, forced smile formed on the brunette. 'Allons-y.'[/shadow]
-
[shadow=black, left]I looked it up to find more information on it. It seems that the show has hinted about it in the classic version, but the newer series leaves the topic alone.
Cloudia gripped onto the edges of the console, not sure how the TARDIS flew. Or how well or bad Jane could fly it. She was prepared for the worst case scenario. The brunette watched the Time Lady's movement carefully, trying to memorize which levers and buttons would be important.[/shadow]
