[align=center][fancypost bgcolor=transparent; borderwidth=0px; bordercolor=transparent; width: 325px;][justify]✯ — [size=9pt]Takumi glanced up at Jonathan as he arrived, and though his grumpy frown never changed, he was at least somewhat relieved that he wasn't alone on shift anymore. He would casually shift over to the next cash register with a huff. "Yeah, yeah, whatever. Just don't be late again. You guys are the worst sometimes," he muttered to the other boy's apology. Right, back to his actual job - he hadn't been listening at the time, but now he realized that someone had asked him something about hot chocolate. His caramel gaze flickered over to the waiting customer, whom he recognized as a younger girl he'd seen around school. Freshman, probably - Sakura's age. He had to wonder if his little sister knew this girl. He waved a hand at the menu. "Yup - you want some?"

[align=center][fancypost bgcolor=transparent; borderwidth=0px; bordercolor=transparent; width: 325px;][justify]✯ — [size=9pt]When Takumi found himself approaching to catch a glance of the newcomer, he hadn't expected to see the female version of himself. There were some differences, of course - he has caramel eyes while she had blue; he had a red ribbon tied around the end of his tail while she didn't. But they wore the same long, white pelt, and even seemed to sport a bit of the same attitude. The Hoshidan prince slid over with a frown, blinking his half-lidded eyes. "Yeah, hi. Takumi Hoshidan," he would say simply, quirking a brow. "Interesting greeting method you have."

[align=center][fancypost bgcolor=transparent; borderwidth=0px; bordercolor=transparent; width: 325px;][justify]✯ — [size=9pt]Takumi didn't seem affected by the fact that his arrow had been deflected; he continued to watch his clanmates with that vacant, angry stare, almost zombie-like. His ears twitched at Tama's words. He seemed to grind his teeth together, squeezing his eyes shut for just a moment, before reopening them, a bright crimson fire practically alighted in them. "You.. You're lying!" he hissed at her, voice torn from his throat and spilling over with emotion. He tensed, raising his bow as if to shoot again. "You..."
The male was distracted, however, as Lostboy began speaking. He whipped his head in her direction, breathe raspy and slow. Brother. The word, the way she spoke brought a familiar warmth to him, and for a second he seemed to realize what he was doing, shock expressing itself across his facial features. He staggered back with a pained groan, dropping Fujin Yumi and gripping his head with a paws. It hurt... It hurt so bad.. "Sist-" He gasped, but was unable to finish - he was gripping his skull with so much force that blood began to leak from where his claws were placed, a few droplets trickling down the side of his head.
The first sentence out of Atoningpaw's mouth seemed to send him back into his brain-dead rage, and he gave a roar of anger, grabbing his bow once more and throwing himself against the wall that Tama had put up. His rival's speech, as blunt as it was, actually did begin to bring him back to his senses - for if there was one thing that Takumi wanted, it was to prove Ato wrong. But at the same time it feuled his rage, and in the end the possession won. The fire behind his emotions came mostly from his time as a human, where he'd felt insignificant next to the greatness that was his siblings, but it had carried over into this realm as well. All of his clanmates - the older ones, or the more well-known ones especially - he felt inferior to in some way. Simply because of his past experiences. The paladin trainee rammed into the wall again, snarling at Atoningpaw, "I-I'll kill you first!" His voice was raw, a far stone's throw from his usual smooth tone.

[align=center][fancypost bgcolor=transparent; borderwidth=0px; bordercolor=transparent; width: 325px;][justify]✯ — [size=9pt]Takumi approached soon behind Marijo, fixing everyone with a quick, sweeping glance and his signature frown. He took a seat, tail twitching, next to Lucina, simply listening for the time being. This was not unlike the meetings he'd once had with his royal adversaries, back in the 'other realm,' as it could be called. The idea of being a high position had been strange at first, but maybe it wasn't so different from being royalty. Right now he was just... lower down on the tiers than he was back at home. He blinked a few times when his name was mentioned. Hey, cool. As for the blind date... he cringed inwardly - sounded like the perfect opportunity to be awkward around someone he'd never met, alone. But maybe other people would enjoy it. "The blind date thing sounds fun for.. y'know.. people who like that crap. Uh, which is probably a lot of people." Nice save, Takumi. "For promotions, I'm not quite sure.." He wasn't too certain of all the requirements to actually be promoted, but he would surely figure it out eventually.

[align=center][fancypost bgcolor=transparent; borderwidth=0px; bordercolor=transparent; width: 325px;][justify]✯ — [size=9pt]There was the familiar plink of the bowstring as Takumi loosed another arrow; it spiraled towards the base of a thick oak tree, where it sank deep into the chest of a straw dummy, which had been constructed rather poorly into the shape of a feline. The arrow dissipated into the air with a crackling noise, the only traces of its existence being a smoking hole in the middle of the practice dummy. The Fujin Yumi was a powerful thing, but was was also incredibly useful when considering his form - now, it didn't matter whether he had opposable thumbs or not, because the arrows knocked themselves. He could just focus on aiming and shooting.
Slowly he lowered his bow, muscles relaxing, breath leaving his lungs in one deft motion. The satisfaction the tom felt after hitting his mark during target practice was simple, yet unmatched by anything else. For once in his life, he could feel like he was doing something right - something none of his other siblings could do. Ryoma and Hinoka were both terrible shots, and Sakura refused to even try. Although he may not have been known for being the best warrior in the royal family, he had surely been the best archer. That was something he could always count on.
Corrin's words caught him by surprise - so much so that he forgot the cold demeanor he usual offered her and instead fixed her with a puzzled look with a snort of disbelief. He set his yumi on the ground, tail twitching back and forth, red ribbon drifting along with it like a flag in the wind. "You want to learn how to shoot?" he questioned, youthful voice taking on a flat tone. Takumi suddenly seemed to remember who he was talking to, and seemed to turn away slightly, refusing to meet her eyes. He frowned. "What's the point?" He asked his sister - and he genuinely meant it.

[align=center][fancypost bgcolor=transparent; borderwidth=0px; bordercolor=transparent; width: 325px;][justify]✯ — [size=9pt]Takumi's eye twitched, and he gave an annoyed huff. What?! His greeting had been fine! "At least I wasn't vulgar right out of the box," he retorted snarkily, referring to the single swear word she'd used. As royalty, he'd always been taught that vulgarity was for commoners and barbarians - and, save the occasional cry of frustration, he often refrained from using it. He leaned forward in Holster's direction, in an almost taunting way. The girl was already getting on his nerves, and they'd known each other for less than ten seconds. At least after this event, he would know to go out of his way to avoid her. Sheesh. He glanced away with a cold frown. "What was wrong with it? You're supposed to be welcoming during meet-and greets - but what do I know? I'm just a guy who's been in a clan longer than you." His youthful voice was dripping with sarcasm. Gods, he was being incredibly hypocritical - even he realized that at this point. But he wasn't about to take back what he said, not after he'd gotten himself deep enough in this situation already.

[align=center][fancypost bgcolor=transparent; borderwidth=0px; bordercolor=transparent; width: 325px;][justify]✯ — [size=9pt]It was raining out. Nothing too bothersome - a light drizzle, sourced from a pale gray sky. The rain drops were small, barely visible - but just big enough to dampen Takumi's pelt, causing his long white fur to cling to his frame.
In the distance, thunder rumbled. The paladin trainee supposed that this wasn't really prime time for a tour of the territory, but if Fell didn't mind the weather, neither would he. Besides, despite the fact that he had volunteered, he wanted to get this over with. Unless he was in a good mood, he happened to be more of a lone wolf, and being by himself with a stranger was nowhere near his idea of fun.
Pausing by the camp entrance, Takumi would wait there for Fell with an impatient flick of his ribbon-tied tail. The strange male had only just gotten back from actually joining, so hopefully he'd be ok with a little more walking.

[align=center][fancypost bgcolor=transparent; borderwidth=0px; bordercolor=transparent; width: 325px;][justify]✯ — [size=9pt]Takumi pressed himself low to the ground, his caramel gaze trained intently on the forest clearing spanning out in front of him. He was watching a rabbit; it was a particularly large one, likely having just come out of hibernation, and he wanted nothing more than to catch it. 'This will be an excellent kill... I'd like to see Atoningpaw top this,' he thought to himself with an indignant huff, smirking. Normally he might've shot the creature down, but he still lacked a proper bow. It was annoying him to no end - hopefully he'd be able to finish his carving soon.
The feline crept forward, careful not to step on anything that would make too much noise. A sudden gust of wind tugged at his long white fur; the rabbit seemed to perk up suddenly, before it looked directly at him and bolted away. "Damn it all!" The lean male growled, giving up on his stealth and stepping into the open. It seemed he'd forgotten to make sure he was facing the wind. Not keen on giving up, but also incredibly frustrated, Takumi proceeded to sit there and brood.

[align=center][fancypost bgcolor=transparent; borderwidth=0px; bordercolor=transparent; width: 325px;][justify]✯ — [size=9pt]Takumi may have offered Kion one of his signature snarky comments, had Holster nod... well, done whatever she had just done. Instead of continuing this little argument - one he refused to lose, as usual - she had laughed. Right at him. It was an annoying little giggle, too. Confusion crossed his features in the form of a frown and a quirk of an eyebrow. "Wh-What're you laughing at?" he questioned indignantly, suddenly flustered, mostly because he wasn't sure why she seemed so amused by him.
..And then she changed the subject. The young tom would narrow his eyes suspiciously at Holster; why go through all that trouble to be rude, then turn around and compliment him? Was it sarcastic? It sure didn't sound that way. He hesitated. "Yeah. Silk. Why?" His voice remained monotonous before raising a pitch or two as he asked his question. He glanced at Century with a small frown but said nothing to the lager male.
