[fancypost borderwidth=0px]I also really liked them! I hope you don't mind me using them in a few future raids :^)

Perhaps you could make a thread somewhere offering them out as a suggestion? It seemed to make the thread go a lot further than a lot of raid threads usually go, a bit like the really old fighting threads that were insanely fast (I'd love to get to that point again).

[fancypost borderwidth= 0px;]Everyone else seemed happy about going, so the leader would join them. As long as there was a large enough group left back home, they'd hopefully be fine. Had she known ShadowClan was also attending, she'd have been much more frustrated about having to turn down another invite. Blissfully unaware though, the vulture would swoop off to join the rest of her clanmates.

"Sweet, come on slacker!" Perhaps she shouldn't have shouted, even if she hadn't been that loud. Sore throat frustrating her for a moment, the vulture would soon find herself laughing ever so slightly at Bitterblue. Unable to smile at the feline to try and show her that she was joking, though the tone of her voice would hopefully give it away.

[fancypost borderwidth=0px]The Blackhearts were becoming more of a pain for the vulture as time went on. HawkClan was involved in a war, so they now needed as much help as they could get. After all, ShadowClan was involving anti-clans. Meaning that they already had a larger number of possible groups to aid them. So, Malakai's lack of communication with HawkClan was something Egretstar had finally decided to sort out. Choosing to visit Peter beforehand, to see whether the goat would want to visit them with her. After all, it seemed as though the leader's lack of contact wasn't exclusive to HawkClan. Instead, it was effecting the groups other close allies.

    "Peter!"

Still loosing her voice, shouting wouldn't do much good for the leader. It wasn't as though the vulture had too much of a choice though, considering she didn't have telepathy or anything else that could help combat the issue. At least the journey had been shorter than it would have been prior to HawkClan's move, which would help the vulture out quite a bit.

    [fancypost borderwidth=0px]"I will, definitely."

It'd be particularly nice to visit. Not only that, but right now it seemed as though Egretstar was going to have plenty of reason to be visiting. Whilst the Blackhearts were unresponsive, they'd have to make the most of the close partnership they had with one another. "We should probably visit the Blackhearts, see what's up..." Hinting toward the termination of HawkClan's pact with the group, the one eyed vulture would keep her vision focused upon her friend. Wondering as to whether he was thinking of the same thing in regards to the alliance. After all, Egretstar wanted Peter to be informed prior to her making any moves. More importantly, she wanted Peter to be on the same side as her on the topic.

    "A child?!"

Whilst she had been aware that the Blackhearts were becoming trouble, this was completely unacceptable in her mind. In fact, this was where Egretstar drew the line. "Peter... I think we should reconsider the pact with 'em..." Words quiet, the HawkClan lass would do what she could to try and make sense of the situation. Impossible, seeing as Egretstar likely would have known if their allies had been involved in giving the group any motives toward this. It didn't seem as though Athena's list was short, either. As though the situation wouldn't have already been bad if the poor soul had only lost a tail, or a leg. To a woman who didn't condone anything harmful toward children, this was probably the worst thing the Blackhearts could have done. Egretstar had already been questioning their alliance, after all.

"I wanna see what that lowlife has ta say for himself..."

[fancypost borderwidth=0px]"Hey, we haven't met yet... I'm hear ta talk with goat man about a trip to our... Friends, the Blackhearts..." Forcing the word 'friends', Egretstar would make her distaste for their allies known. Malakai was to blame for the clan's newfound decent to madness, which Egretstar was now going to deal with. Whether she could actually talk any sense into the man or not would be another issue. Still, if she was to end HawkClan's alliance with the group that would hopefully promote some kind of a change.

Speaking of the man, Peter was the next creature to join them. Had she been capable of doing so, Egretstar would have grinned at her friend. "HawkClan's good, all things considered." 'All things' meaning the war that had now broken out between themselves and ShadowClan. Something Peter was already aware of, so the leader felt no need to go into too many details. "I was wonderin' if you wanna go with me to visit the Blackhearts...? I wanna see what's up, though I'm honestly not interested in keepin' up our alliance with 'em." Hopefully, Peter would be thinking the exact same thing. The Blackheart Rogues promoted violence, which Egretstar was already well aware that the goat hated. Egretstar was more lenient toward this, until she had heard news of them mutilating a young child. Something she and HawkClan would have no part in, given she had a say in the matter.

Both Splitsecond and Travelpassion had chosen paths the leader hadn't expected, with Egretstar having thought Travelpassion would have been much more interested in a herbal route. Still, it was good to know that there would be someone in a medical rank. Splitsecond had proven herself to be an active member and so had Travelpassion. There wasn't much doubt in the leader's mind that they'd both be alright regardless of the paths they had chosen. Particularly now that several creatures were offering to aid Splitsecond's training.

"Sounds good... If ya need anymore help with trainin' on top of that, talk ta me an' I'll see if Peter or anyone else has someone available." It didn't seem as though the woman would need help beyond two trained individuals, but it felt better to give her the option.

[fancypost borderwidth=0px]Peter made a good point. In honesty, the vulture had already made her mind up regarding the topic. Athena didn't seem as though she would lie regarding such a grotesque crime, though part of Egretstar did wish she could trust the group they had a pact with over a recent ally. Purely due to the anger formed through Malakai's recent behaviour. Lacking communication with both of their closest allies, not providing any aid (without even providing any reasoning) to HawkClan in their newfound war against ShadowClan and now the possible mutilation of a RiverClan child. Most of these occurrences suggested that the Blackheart Rogues had simply fallen off the map, but the consistent issues spoken about during leaders meetings proved otherwise. Perhaps Malakai had been the only one to fall off the map, leaving a chaotic anti-clan without a leader in his wake. Honestly, such wouldn't act as too much of a shock to the lass at this point in time. Having lost all her faith in the other leader, though she should have at least waited to see whether a RadicalClanner could prove who's side of the story was correct. With so much tension to return to back home, it didn't seem right for her to have to deal with such an issue. In fact, it disgusted Egretstar.

After listening to Peter conversing with Vintagepompeii, the avian would nod. "Yeah, we should be good with a medical kit..." Of course, the woman was under the assumption that Peter would have somewhat of an understanding of herbs. Egretstar herself having no training on the topic, due to a lack of interest. Perhaps she should have done something about this, but the woman was likely going to continue putting off the option for the time being. When she had a spare moment with someone knowledgeable, perhaps it would be a topic to ask about. "You're right..." Moving onto the comment about bringing someone with telepathy, Egretstar would attempt to bring her focus back to the main situation at hand.

[fancypost borderwidth=0px]Three of those she needed had made their way to the meeting so far. Something the vulture was particularly worried about, considering everything that had been happening recently. Things needed to keep moving, but that took the co-operation of those she counted on. After all, they'd been promoted to their positions for a reason. If any of them had thought of their rank as nothing more but a snazzy title and a chance to gain power, they needed to step down as soon as they could. Not that now would be a particularly good time to do so, but at least HawkClan wouldn't have dead weight within their high ranks. Egretstar was being too cynical, admittedly. Issues kept arising for her group after she had thought that they'd met StarClan's demands. Though, perhaps this was what their ancestors had wanted. For pro-clans to start fighting for their kind against the anti-clans that attempted to flaunt their ruthless behaviour as something positive. Something that wasn't painfully detrimental.

"Spies..." A quiet, southern accented word would leave the avian. Words showing brief signs of discomfort, though the leader would power through anything like this. "We should probably send one or two out, to the biggest issues. ShadowClan, obviously, as well as BloodClan..." BloodClan had involved themselves in HawkClan's retaliation raid and seemed willing to involve themselves further. Something the leader wanted to keep track of, encase they became a larger issue for HawkClan than ShadowClan themselves. "Ideas?" Whilst Egretstar already had vague plans in mind herself, the woman needed to see what her members thought of what was happening prior to making any moves. After all, the last thing HawkClan needed right now was for her rule to become a dictatorship -- though she did have the right to make some choices without asking for opinions beforehand.

[fancypost borderwidth=0px]Dark brown and no thank you :^)

[fancypost borderwidth=0px]It was clear that something was up.

"I'm 'ere... You alright?" Soft, quiet words would come from the vulture. Quiet partially due to her beginning to loose her voice, though she was also attempting to be comforting toward the RiverClan stranger. After all, HawkClan had brought them into another war with ShadowClan (though RiverClan had to have known the risks beforehand). Alongside what Athena had told both herself and Peter during the last leader's gathering, Egretstar felt somewhat responsible for the group. Wanting to lend a helping hand to them wherever possible, even in simply sending out herbs and such.

Though, it didn't seem as though this issue would be solved by herbs. At least, not just a small gift.

Please check out the tournament guide prior to posting!

How this thread is going to be run:

[li]First of all, a team captain for 'Team Ostrich' is required. Please volunteer if you're interested in your character being a team captain and referee throughout the tournament![/li]
[li]A random generator will be used for the team member of each team to choose a member. The team leaders will take turns in choosing team members, though this can be done as soon as the first applicant posts.[/li]
[li]This thread will run until the end of the competition, to allow everyone a chance to join in![/li]

Just include 'APPLYING TO PARTICIPATE IN COMPETITION' somewhere in your post if you are waiting for your character to be chosen for a team! A team chatting/plotting thread will be made for both teams separately in the future, so please keep an eye out for that in the future as well!

Hopefully, this would help with moral in the clan. After all, a war was unfolding right before their eyes along with a cluster of smaller issues. Still, here the leader was. Waiting to assign members of 'Team Raven' for the Tournament they were holding. Ironic, considering the fact that the creature was indeed a vulture. Not a raven.

    [fancypost borderwidth=0px]

    x

Sure, who should make the thread?

[fancypost borderwidth=0px]"It's nice ta meet some of you guys..."

Quiet, the leader would begin by pointing out that she hadn't met a lot of those gathered. Those she had met mostly being other leaders who had attended leader's gatherings, Spiderstar being the most notable memory wise. The oriental having given her a lot of information in regards to the Blackhearts, though not directly to her. Having helped the lass to make a decision in regards to the group, lowering her trust in whom had formerly been a close ally. Athena had also contributed to this in the same fashion, leaving the vulture thankful for what both leaders had contributed in these meetings. Still, the news of things the Blackheart Rogues had done would stick to her mind. Leaving Egretstar frustrated that she hadn't made a move in regards to all of this sooner.

    "Is this about * ShadowClan?"

Rude. At least, that was how it seemed to Egretstar. "Mostly, yes." It seemed that most of those sending out invitations to the gathering had made that clear, though perhaps Egretstar had misunderstood. Fadingdaylight seemed as though she was going to be trouble, though the vulture would refrain from saying anything else to the woman for the time being. Hoping that the SkyClan leader would have something to say in response, meaning that Egretstar herself wouldn't have to.

Disconnected, almost, the leader would offer a brief nod in the direction of the leaders who were in attendance. Spiderstar and Beetlestar. A single working ocular would survey the rest of those in attendance, though she wouldn't nod to everyone. More for the sake of convenience than anything else, though it was common curtesy for her to nod in response to Spiderstar. "A lot, unfortunately..." Listening to Frostbite, Egretstar would choose to begin answering the woman's question. Frostbite had offered a starting point, it only made sense for her to work from this point. "They've raided us twice lately, unprovoked... We sent of a retaliation raid with several of their enemies with us, which involved ThunderClan actually." It seemed strange for the deputy to be unaware of this information, though perhaps it was a simple communication error. After all, the information would have had to travel through plenty of other members. "Since our raid, I've been told that they've declared free reign against ThunderClan, RiverClan and ourselves." Apparently, they'd missed out on the fact that Peter had also involved himself. Good, Egretstar didn't want her closest friend to also become a target.

"I know they're workin' with BloodClan, along with a few other anti-clans. I think they're tryin' to use the split between pro-clans an' anti-clans against us, which is why I've invited you lot here. Even if any of you are allies with them, I want to give you all fair warnin'..." More questions were bound to strike up regarding the situation, but her throat was particularly sore. Words becoming slightly quieter and pained, though the vulture would continue onward regardless. Hoping for a response of some kind for the pure fact that they could further drive the conversation.
