Sunny heard a door slam and Penelope whimper. He tilted his head confused. "Yeah I'm fine... Woah, did your humans leave you too," Sunny asked as Penelope reached the fence. His tail waving back and forth almost to the point where his entire hind quarters were shaking with him. The red Border Collie sat down and used his hind leg to stractch at his ear, his bright yellow collar making a soft noise with every scratch. Sunny looked up at Penelope with worried eyes. "I wonder where they are all going," Sunny whimpered. He paced the fence trying to think of where his and Penelope's humans could have gone. They were such odd creatures... it could be anything. "OH what if they are having a massive pool party!!! With lots of food... and they are just getting it ready! I bet they will be back for us in no time," He yipped with such hope.

Sunny shook his head, he's heard her mention this several times before. "They would never do that! Your female human loves you and would never leave you here alone. She's probably just helping with the pool party," He said comfortingly. Penelope had mentioned the male human before and from sunny's point of view, he did not like the male human. Sunny felt a small pang in his heart when he remember the little human hugging him for such a long time before leaving. He never did that. "My little human hugged me for such a long time before he left. He acted as if he was never going ot see me again. Which can't be true. They are just setting up a pool party." He tried to convince himself that this was true, but things where not adding up. He flattened his ears while trying to think. They did pack as many things as they possibly could. Inculding photos and very important things to the family. Are they going away for a long time? He thought to himself.

Sunny flattened his ears. He nodded his head as he paced the fence until he found an easy spot to slip through. Because of his small size this made it easier for him. He wagged his tail happily. Once he was through the fence, sunny shook his pelt, making his yellow collar clip together and making a small sound as he shook. "If they do not come back by tonight we can go out and look for them, I'm sure they will be back though. There is always hope!" Sunny yipped cheerfully.

Sunny leaped after Penelope. He leaped up onto the rocking chair but it did manage to throw him off the first time. Sunny huffed before giving it a second go. He successfully leaped up onto the rocking chair and placed his front paws on the window sill. Still managing to balance on annoyingly unbalanced rocking chair. "It is such a nice house!" He said cheerfully. He leaped up into the window and onto the counter. He peered over the edge of the counter. Penelope made the leap look so easy but Sunny was a bit smaller so the edge looked like a cliff to him. He sat down for a moment and took a breath before bunching himself together and leaping down onto the floor. He landed with a small 'oompf" and he smiled in relief. Sunny wagged his tail which really meant he was wagging his entire butt with his tail wags as well. He watched Penelope open the fridge which he was highly impressed with and his mouth began to drool as he saw the two T-bone steaks. His family only fed him dry dog pellet food but occasionally the smaller human would toss him left-overs from the dinner table that his humans sit at. Sunny walked over to one of the T-bone steaks and began to rip it apart. He felt the steak just melt into his mouth and he was in love. His tail waved side to side whacking anything in it's path. "This is the best steak ever!" He woofed excitedly as he took another bite.

The earth always had a cruel way of doing things. To Asterfrost this was basically her life. So much has happened to her and to be honest she wished it would stop. Her body curled protectively over Ebonykit inside a small fluffy cave that the two-leg had given them. Asterfrost was always on high alert when it came to her kit. Especially with that human around, it made things more complicated. Even though Ebonykit was about the same size as Asterfrost, she still treated Ebonykit much like a kit. Asterfrost sighed, her eyes half opened as she thought about life. Things where just a mess. The two leg never made escaping easy and she all she wants to be back with Cinderstep and her other kit Littlekit. He should be an apprentice by now. Something a mother shouldn't have missed. She thought harshly to herself. She felt Ebonykit shuffle next to her. Asterfrost moved to give her enough room. "Good morning," She purred rubbing her head on Ebonykit lovingly.

"Yeah... Morning," Ebonykit meowed stretching out her body and sliding out of the cave. Asterfrost watched as Ebonykit stretched out her body before walking over to the neatly placed bowls full of water and those nasty pellets that the two leg leaves. She meowed happily as she chowed down onto the pellets. Asterfrost only ate the pellets when she had two or the two leg forced her to. She hated leaving the safety of the small cave so she would always have Ebonykit bring her food. Asterfrost sighed as she watched Ebonykit, her heart stinging with pain. She wished she could have found Ebonykit in time before the two leg captured her. Things would have been very different. Then suddenly the door opened in front of her and the large two leg walked out of the room and headed over towards Ebonykit. Ebonykit looked up at him and meowed happily, leaping up to higher counter so she could receive what she calls 'pets'. Asterfrost hated the two leg and was not social with him at all. When Ebonykit was younger, Asterfrost refused to let him touch her at all. Now Ebonykit is much older and she can argue back making things more complicated. Asterfrost let out a small growl when the two leg reach out it's forearm and ran it across Ebonykit's back. He was saying some words with it, but Asterfrost never really cared to know what he was saying.

The two leg walked off to find something else to do and Ebonykit walked back over to Asterfrost with pellets in her mouth. Ebonykit laid the pellets onto the floor of the cave and sighed, "You know... he's not that bad. Maybe you should just give him a -"

"No, I am a warrior and warriors don't get pets from two legs. They are foul creatures that do more harm then good." Asterfrost cut her off sharply. Asterfrost flinched when she saw Ebonykit roll her eyes. "Just eat your pellets," She meowed leaping away to go find a toy to play for. Asterfrost grumbled staring down at the pellets at her feet. She hated the taste of the pellets and often refused them but today she was starving so she leaned down and ate the food as quickly as she could. She noticed something odd however. The two leg was staying in the kitchen pulling out a lot of what Asterfrost assumed to be food. Then Asterfrost noticed it. He had leaned over and had opened the window ever so slightly. Asterfrost stared at it in amazement. This was her chance. She could get out of here. She turned to Ebonykit who was messing around with a fake mouse. I can't wait for you to have the first taste of mouse. She thought excitedly. Asterfrost walked slowly out of the cave and walked over to Ebonykit.

"Hey... Ebonykit... I need you to cause a distraction in the other room." She meowed. Ebonykit whipped around confused on why her mother was out of the cave. She was so shocked yet did not question her like she normally would have. Ebonykit stood up and walked into one of the rooms. Asterfrost headed back to the cave and waited until she heard a small bang and clash which startled her and both the two leg. He hurried to find out the noise and Ebonykit walked right past him towards Asterfrost. Asterfrost basically ran from the cave towards the cracked window. She leaped high up onto the ledge and over towards the window. There was a sort of mesh that covered the exit but with her claws she made a clean break into the mesh before turning back to Ebonykit. Ebonykit looked confused but Asterfrost smiled. We are going to get out of here.

Ebonykit shook her head angrily. Ebonykit actually liked the two-leg petting her and running it's claws through her fur. It was comforting. "No, I am not leaving," She spat her tail waving back and forth. Ebonykit noticed the shock in Asterfrost's face. This only angered her more. "You are coming with me wether you like it or not," Asterfrost hissed turning back to the window. Ebonykit lashed her tail shaking her head. Asterfrost didn't let her get a word in before she yanked Ebonykit and threw he out the window. The drop wasn't that far and Ebonykit landed firmly on her feet. Grass spilled between her paws and she flexed her claws feeling the dirt underneath her paws. Ebonykit was shocked. She was never able to go outside so she had forgotten the feel for dirt underneath her paws. Suddenly she felt Asterfrost nudge her forcibly into a run and the two of them dashed towards the woods. Ebonykit ran closely to her mother but when she looked at her, she didn't see the dark tired face. Her face was bright and she truly looked happy. Ebonykit struggles to keep in pace with her fast and skinny mother but she does manage to keep her eyes locked onto her. Maybe she is not as crazy as I thought her to be.

Ebonykit raced after her mom until the trees started to thin out and the area wasn't that hard to navigate. Asterfrost slowed down, huffing and puffing from the run. In the light, Ebonykit noticed how skinny her mother was. She wasn't terribly skinny but her body looked weak and it couldn't handle much activity. Ebonykit smiled but her belly growled in hunger. She wished she would have brought some food with them. Asterfrost smiled and meowed to her in her mother voice,"Wait here." Then she was off. Ebonykit sighed looking up at the sky. She only ever saw the sky from the window never on the outside. It was beautiful and the colors where much brighter. She heard some shuffling around her and she turned around slowly her senses tingling. Her body hunched over into a sloppy crouch her tail waving slightly. She shook her hind end and leaped at the figure but nothing. Instead she watched as a mouse fled away. It was so fast I didn't even see it slip away from me! She thought, amused and surprised. She heard her mother behind her and in her mouth was what looked like a fat vole. At least thats what she thought it looked like. Ebonykit was shocked that she had caught something that big. Asterfrost dropped it to Ebonykit's paws.

"Here, we can share this," She meowed excitedly. She leaned down and took a swift bite from the vole. Ebonykit felt her stomach churn but she leaned down and grabbed a mouth full of fur. Sure underneath the thick skin there was some meat but it had a odd taste to it. She honestly didn't know what to think of it. She took another bite and a bite after that. When she looked up at her mom, she was eating swiftly and wouldn't come up to breathe. She must have been starving, Ebonykit sighed as she took another bite. The pellets were not bad. When Asterfrost and Ebonykit finished the vole they buried the bones then where on their way. Asterfrost meowed happily, "We shouldn't be too far from the territory. I believe we could make it to the border by sun-fall." She said excitedly. Her tail waving side to side. Ebonykit stared at her curiously. She had never seen her mother this happy an energetic. She gave a small smile before following after her mother.

All Burntpaw could remember was a golden field. The grass was soft underneath his paws but when he looked down at his paws he saw blood stained in his paws. In shock he jumped back but when he looked up he saw what looked like his mother only younger. She had wounds all over her body and but she was still holding her ground. There was anger in her eyes and hints of fear. Burntpaw had this feeling of hatred towards her and he had no idea why. "Mom!" He cried out hoping that she would forgive him for his mistakes. Burntpaw watched her struggle to hold herself steady as she was losing too much blood. You don't deserve to live! The voice in his head hissed. No you're wrong! She is a good mom and a good person. His body shook as he tried to escape his nightmare. Wake up! Wake up! Please!He pawed at his face his head screaming. I DON'T WANT TO KILL HER!

"I hope you die," She spat, blood splattering on the ground below her. Tears welled into Burntpaw's eyes before he was startled awake. He felt a paw in his shoulder and when he looked up he saw his sister, Driftpaw was looking at him annoying. "If you are going to cry in the morning, please try to be polite and not wake up your sister," She meowed with her 'helping sarcasm' voice. The ginger tabby flicked her tail and smiled down at him. Burntpaw smiled back and he watched her leave the apprentices den. He felt his body relax a little but the dream was still fresh into his memory. He shivered before standing to his paws and shaking himself a little before heading out of the apprentices den. He looked over and noticed that Ministar was standing getting ready to do todays ceremonies. He remember back when he was made an apprentice. It was a shock that Ministar would be his mentor, especially after she lost the last one. What was his name again? Nettlepaw. Burntpaw flicked his tail and found a comfy spot to sit during the ceremonies. He wondered what they would be doing today, but he sure hoped it would be battle training.

They walked for what felt like hours. Asterfrost's paws hurt and bled from the walking but she did not give up. She made sure that Ebonykit and her had enough to eat but food was not easy to catch out here. She did, however, notice that Ebonykit was growing unhappier the longer they walked. Asterfrost suddenly felt bad for her, all Ebonykit has ever known was the two leg place. She considered it to be home. Asterfrost never looked at it from her perspective before. Asterfrost looked over at her daughter who had her head low and her eyes forward. "I'm sorry you had to take care of me during those moons. I should have taken care of myself and -"

"It's whatever," She sighed clearly not wanting to talk. Asterfrost was taken back a little by her tone but she did not want to start a fight. She lowered her head a little as they continued to walk. Her eyes narrowed when a sharp scent recognized. "Ebonykit don't make a sound," She whispered. She was frozen in place and her tail waved nervously.

A large red creature stood from the grass it's teeth baring at them. Ebonykit jumped in the air, terrified she turned around and darted in the opposite direction but when she turned around to find her mom, she wasn't there. Fox-dung. She thought turning around back to the fox and noticing that Asterfrost was standing her ground towards the big red creature. She lashed out her paws and stretched the fox across the nose which made it yelp in pain. The fox lunged at her but because she was so small she slipped under him and raked her claws underneath it's belly. It was as if she had been trained to do it her whole life. Asterfrost whipped around bracing herself for another attack. The fox screeched in pain as it ran off from them. Asterfrost was panting heavily but Ebonykit noticed that she had a large wound on her shoulder. Ebonykit whimpered to herself, We need to find you help quick.

Driftpaw found it odd that her brother had these horrible nightmares. It almost didn't seem natural. She sighed, if only he would talk to her. He's so bright and happy but deep down her sister vibes are telling her that he's not okay. She didn't understand it. She looked up at the leader as she spoke, but she didn't really listen. She just sort of zoned out with a bored expression on her face. She also wondered when there was going to be another gathering.

Burntpaw sat down a listened quietly. Burntwhisker would sound like the perfect warriors name, he thought to himself. He flicked his tail, turning his head to Driftpaw. Valerianclaw was a little late to the gathering wakeup call but he did manage to find a nice spot to sit. He hated ceremonies. They were always so boring and he just hated that everyone would be in one place at once. It was a annoyingly crowded and all he wanted to do is pick up she-cats. He rolled his eyes, searching the crowd for Briarfeather. She would make things more interesting, just as he was about to heads towards her he heard a rustling noise behind him. A familiar face appeared out of the bushes and he was a bit shook. "Well then... Things just got a bit more interesting." He meowed loudly, interrupting Ministar.

Linnetstar didn't remember much. All he remembered was hitting his head and forgetting who he was a for the past few moons. He lived in a barn for a few moons and was happy there. It was peaceful and he could hunt the mice the barn. It wasn't that bad until recently his memories decided to flood back to him. He remembered who he was and that he needed to get back to his family and his leadership. He knew they must have moved on and Minimarsh would have been made leader but and he honestly wants her to stay as leader anyway. She was a strong cat and he truly believed in her. Still, here he was, standing face to face with the wall. A physical and emotional wall. He was scared but honestly he couldn't wait. He forced his body to move and he slipped in the undergrowth and stared face to face with what looked like a clan meeting. He locked eyes with Minimarsh and he gave a small smile. I did make the right choice didn't I.

Was he like important or something. She glanced over at her brother and noticed that he was staring. Did he know who that is? If he did know... how?

He turned back to his sister and she was staring at him which confused him a little.

It is has been quite a while since she was wounded but she still had to hunt for Ebonykit. She crouched low and leaped snatching a vole, snapping it's head to the side. It dropped limp in her mouth and she breathed a small prayer to starclan before carrying it over to Ebonykit. She felt a small satisfaction when her face lit up to food. She's getting used to actual prey. She thought hopefully. Her wound on her should was stinging but she tried to ignore it. They were so close to the edge of the territory and all she had to do was get there. Then the medicine cat should be able to help her. She sighed giving Ebonykit a small look. Ebonykit had not been able to look her in the eyes since the incident. Asterfrost can't read her expressions so she feels left in the dark. She should be an apprentice by now training... Asterfrost thought painfully. Littlekit... Her body hurt. He was so young when I disappeared. Ebonykit doesn't even remember she has a brother.

He jolted awake and yawned. He was fairly annoyed that Heavenlyflame was trying to wake him from his slumber. "What do you want Heavenlyflame. Are we actually training or are we just going to walk around the territory pretending like you know how to be a mentor." He snapped. This is how he saw it. After his last mentor was killed he was handed off to Heavenlyflame who had just been made a warrior. Heavenlyflame was only 4 moons older then him and now he was supposed to act like Heavenlyflame had enough sense in him to mentor him. He honestly wished he had gotten Ministar as a mentor. She would have been a much better fit instead of Burntpaw.

Valerianclaw rolled his eyes annoyedly. He stood to his paws and headed over to the fresh-kill pile. He plucked a mouse from the fresh-kill pile and walked over to a shaded area were he can eat. He searched around camp for a she-cat to flirt with. That's honestly what keeps him feel young.

❄ "I also want my warrior name back as well... if that is alright with you. It would get kind of confusing," He meowed. Linnetstripe was his warrior name before he became Linnetstar. His eyes trailed over to his kits, he wanted to meet them but honestly he wondered why Silverstride never said anything to them about him. They grew up not know him which sort of stung a little.

When he heard her comment he snorted a little. It was true, he was kind of a player... this wasn't new. "Is Briar jealous," He teased before taking one last bite of his prey before continuing, "Trust me, there is enough Valerian to go around." He swished his tail when he heard her mention something about hunting. He honestly wanted to jump to his paws, but he tried to play it cool. "It's a date then," he purred.

❄ Her eyes focusing on the walk. She had to be close to the border. She just had to be. Her wound on her shoulder stung with every move. She glanced back at Ebonykit, her face was full of worry. Then she smelled something familiar. She gasped in surprise and in happiness. She raced forward, not checking back to see if Ebonykit was behind her. Her paws pulled her forward until she was drowning in the scent she had missed so much. Moonclan. "Geez it smells like cat pee out here." Ebonykit meowed loudly. This caused Asterfrost to laugh a little. "This is Moonclan, Ebonykit. Your home," She purred walking past the borderline. Asterfrost was almost in tears. The skinny small silver grey tabby lashed her tail her head searching the area for any signs of other cats. "Stay here and wait for me. I'm going to look around. There has to be a patrol out somewhere," She meowed walking off into the brush. Cinderstep, Littlekit... I'm home... She thought to herself.

❄ She lashed her tail excitedly. "Battle training!" She meowed. The couldn't wait to use her abilities to defend her territory one day. Other clans will tremble when they see me! She thought to herself. I will be the greatest warrior this clan has ever seen! Her tail waved wondering what Rubbleclaw was thinking, when she noticed that his gaze shifted towards another cat. Oh it's just Archwing. She shrugged it off boredly when she noticed her brother. She wondered if he was battle training today too. She hated battle training with her brother. He always ended up turning weirdly aggressive for some reason and sometimes uses his claws on her. So she always disliked training with him.

❄ Ebonykit watched her mother leave and she shook her head. It stank around here so she hopped that they wouldn't be here for too long. Her tail curled tightly around her body, and he nose twitched. It did smell like cats had been here but not recently. Maybe last night? Who knows. She just thought her mother was crazy. She flicked her tail when she noticed something moving along the brush. She crouched to her paws and slowly stalked forward. She had been practicing since she they had left and this time she was determined to catch something. She waited a heartbeat before lunching forward and landing on top of what looked like a leaf. She growled angrily. Her teeth bared in a small snarl. I hate this! She thought to herself. Her mother made it look so easy yet here she was only being able to catch a leaf. She swiped the leaf away and stick as well.
