It was a rainy day, dark and humid. Downpour fell and soaked the dry soil, greeting leaves with wet dots and scurrying prey with a shower. Kotoko scrambled away from the beach as soon as the sky became grey and tried to run home as fast as she could- Though unfortunately, the rain beat her before she could. Shrieking as she was pelted with falling rain, the cub looked around. Her eyes landed on some bushes, where she would then immediately go for and hide in. Now she'd wait. She'd wait and take shelter until the raining stopped. Then she'd go home, dry off, and then probably take a nap. But now she couldn't do that. She had to sit there and be bored until she could. Fucking rain.

God damn, it was cold. Colder than touching snow with your bare hands, or the first few seconds of opening the freezer while trying to grab a frozen pizza, or eating watermelon in the winter. Long story short, it was cold. Real cold. Kotoko was curled up beside a small campfire, shivering, trying to get warm. She'd go back inside her hut if she could- But unfortunately, she locked herself out for some stupid reason. She tried breaking in through the window with a rock, but the glass her windows were made from were virtually indestructible. Mostly for safety reasons. And it was nearly midnight, so there weren't a lot of people up that she could ask to help break in. So, here she was, all cold and stuff, face wrinkled up as she let out a heavy sigh. "Fuck, why is it so god damn cold out here...?"
