so, not bothering to change or get ready - because honestly who was he going to impress - other than change from a black shirt to a black, wrinkled button down that had already been laying out, he slipped on his black boots and headed out (not bothering with a jacket because once he had remembered it he was already halfway there and didn't really feel like going back).

halfway across the campus, he could start to see other students scurrying along, either alone and clutching jackets or in groups of twos or threes, giggling with excitement as they headed towards the "ball". he simply followed the the groups until they reached the scene, and once inside he let out a breath of air as the warmth hit him. he definitely regretted not bringing a jacket.

sighing and realizing he was already here and might as well make the best of it, he began making his way over the designated "refreshments" area, dodging dancing people and groups of people chattering. only, on his way there he ended up running partly into someone anyways, said someone hitting him right in the side and making him lean slightly. hell, if he'd been a little clumsier and maybe a little lighter he probably would have taken a step away.

turning in the direction in which the blow came from, he opened his mouth to apologize (even though he didn't do it so he really didn't mean it) when he saw who it was and sighed instead, tipping his head back and rolling his eyes. "Oh, it's you." His tone was practically monotonous, edging on annoyance. "Didn't you know this is a school function, Tink? I'm allowed to be here. Don't sound so disappointed to see me."
