    "Hello. I'm here to, uh...join." Chasingpaw would trail off. He needed a warrior name to join. Obviously. Someone told him that 'Chasingpaw' was the best bet for a name. So naturally, he chose that for his name. He didn't really question. "My names Chasingpaw." The boxy glasses didn't really stay on his face right. They hung crooked, needing constant adjustment.


    His black fur was held well against his figure. Obviously he put some effort into it before he came to the border. (A small detail nobody but him would probably notice.)


    Equipped with his fake name, and decently groomed fur...he'd wait to make first contact with a colouredclanner. The anticipation was real.

    "Oh. No, I don't mind at all." A good natured smile would take over his features. "But, you can just call me John." He could. But he probably wouldn't. He was pretty happy it was auto accept. If it wasn't, he was pretty sure he wouldn't make the cut. He wasn't really the best at anything. He was pretty inventive, but that probably wasn't a useful skill to have under these specific circumstances. "So, there's two Chase's now, huh? I guess thats pretty confusing. But, in a way...it works."


    He'd nod to Lucinda. He wasn't sure if he should just...accept the compliment, or compliment her back. It was a tough mental battle that was waged in his head before he uttered the magic words: 'Thank you.'

    He had an excellent point. If you had bad eyesight, you did need glasses to see. Whether he needed to point that out or not was up to debate. "Oh, and uh...I really like your glasses too Lucy. Chase senior, you don't wear glasses." In classic nerd fashion, he'd adjust his glasses after his statement. What he had pointed out was obviously quite riveting. "But you have a very nice personality."


    The kid was obviously onto something.

    "Oh god, really? Thanks a ton. I thought I was boring." The apprentice would move his gaze over the other, carefully. He was looking for another way to compliment them. The small nerd would trail off. Obviously trying his hardest. It had been less then thirty seconds and he was already blowing brain-cells trying to come up with the wittiest compliment. A pun maybe. "T-Thats really nice of you Chase."
    He said the words as seriously as one could get. Just from the tone of his voice, you could tell the words where really intense.


    He wanted to consider himself an intense person. Even though that was the opposite of what he actually was.

    He wasn't exactly sure if complimenting someone was a crime, but he wouldn't object. He knew there could be no reprieve for a wrong move here. Who knew how lenient the opposing felidae would be. He was pretty sure he was acting super fly however. "It's nice to meet you! Someone said I should name myself Chasingpaw. So uh, thats my name now. You've got a pretty cool name though. Is that a reference to the conflict between homo sapiens during the fabled world wars? The second one, correct? I hear thats where they started combining warfare and trenches. Though that may of also been the case for the first one." He'd look up at the other with clear blue eyes. Was hard to tell what was going on through his head right now.


    He was actually thinking about how much he detested clowns, something irrelevant. Surely.

    He'd stop talking. She seemed to acknowledged the fact that he'd done his research. This was a good day. "Thats probably going to be me by the end of the day." He was still sitting where he was, since the first post. "You know, nicknames tend to happen when you have two people with the same name." She didn't seem to be very amused.


    He had the slight urge to adorn himself in a clever, witty disguise. He wanted to gain reputation as a comedian, even though most people didn't understand his off beat sense of humor.
