He didn't really linger with the touch, letting his hand fall back onto of his torso, eyes flicking to the road again. His eyes widened a little at the motion, but he still chuckled as a result, obviously not minding neither being closed closer not the embrace he was locked in. He licked his lips, then pursed them, turning back to the other to the point where there wasn't much before their noses would have touched -- well, their covered noses, to be fair. "Take a right." He whispered to him with a small glint in his eye. He hesitated slightly afterward, perking up a little. "The things you do for love." He sighed, by that stage growing strangely nervous. That didn't stop him from hooking a gloved finger around the cloth still pulled over his nose, tugging it down with a swift motion, suggesting he'd done so before he changed his mind. For one reason or another, he trusted the other thief wouldn't necessarily run it against him. "It's hard to breathe under there." He mumbled.

What more Finn Harley thing was there but showing off his identity at the fear of being challenged to do so? Probably a lot smarter, less emotional shit he could do, but now that's a decision he got stuck with. To be fair, it was only after a second or so attempt that he did cave in. Not so bad.

Restlessness prompted him a little, having Finn move slightly, though not in a manner that would disrupt their proximity, which he grew to by then somewhat enjoy. He watched as he easily transitioned from driving with his hand, to simply doing so with his knee, unfazed with the action as he looked on with the curiosity of a child about to open its first -- and potentially last -- Christmas gift of the year. A smirk curved on his now exposed lips as he shamelessly took a moment to look at the other, humming a barely audible 'cute' before turning his attention, around the edge of awed staring and pure gawking. "Things you don't necessarily want to hear from your driver," he retorted with an amused chuckle, resting back against him, but not without entirely taking off his hood and undoing the cloth first, leaving it by his side to, if needed, pull back on later. "Unless you've got better suggestions, there's the diner. Small and homely. Sort of. Not very ideal, but it's open at..." he squinted at the clock in the van. "Three in the morning. How time flies when you're having fun, hm? We should have about half an hour there before you gotta go." He added, mindful of the hour he'd been given as a point of having to depart again.

[center][fancypost=background: transparent; font-family: verdana; color: #A0B0A8; font-size: 10px; width: 600px; text-align: justify;]kiana's features scrunched up slightly in thought. the idea to ask crossed her mind, but that was long ago and as time passed, it grew a more risky move to pull. "i don't know, to be entirely honest. if he does, he never shared with me." she fiddled with her thumbs a little, wondering if she should have asked further into the matter. until now, it didn't seem quite that important. a lot of things wouldn't until they became a more personal matter, as it had to most people in her coven.

lyra's yawn brought her back around, concerned that her time for departure was nearing. she must be exhausted after her shift and the last thing she wanted was to push her beyond what she'd see reasonable.

her eyes fell to their hands as the werewolf squeezed it gently. the action wasn't undesirable, only intriguing her further. coming in such close proximity of one another would have seemed impossible just at the beginning of the day. "thank you. you're a good person, as well. much more so than i was taught to expect."

the topic of her nursing job seemed to strike a particularly good nerve, for her developed enthusiasm was hard to miss. it forced a smile onto her, a pleasant little acknowledgement of the obvious affection she had for her occupation. some people could only dream of possessing something like that. "i'm glad that you enjoy what you do," she said slowly, not wanting to speak too much of it, for she had little to no knowledge of the topic herself. "it must be rather satisfying, if not mortifying at times. but you hear quite a lot of praise for the works at the hospital." sometimes more aggressive articles and information would be spread, but usually as a result of the vampire and werewolf ongoing conflict.

"i'll take your word for it." kiana chuckled softly, having forgotten at that stage the extent of human fragility that was once her own trait.

she smiled hopefully at the offer, nodding a little. "i'd be happy to see around, even just for a short talk. luckily enough i was able to get a spot in the neutral territory. my father was inclined toward something more 'homely', to say."

genuinely happy with the answer, she worried her bottom lip a little. there was truth in what lyra had said, undeniably, which she was more or less aware of. the trouble was that some other people weren't and never found it difficult to look down at such relationships. taking that it wasn't even through the normally accepted adoption, but rather through mixed blood, the situation was easily made weirder. "i wish that's how everyone viewed it. i never had a father before him, but he's a very good one." the vampire began to shift a little, noting that not only did the woman appear a little tired, noted from before, but darkness had fallen outside.

"i should probably get going soon." she noted, beginning to sit up straighter, done quite smoothly, despite a small grimace present on her features as she did so.

He used the opportunity of having come near their final destination to stretch a little, arching his back before falling back into place soon thereafter. Compared to some, it wasn't a bad drive at all, despite such journeys usually draining his energy. He looked up at the other, suppressing a small laugh, only to be replaced by a smile. However, at the strangely almost awkward flirtations, he snickered again, "You are cute. For a notorious and dangerous thief, that is." He mumbled, cupping his face with a grin, teasingly bringing himself a little closer as well, until once again the gap between them grew dangerously narrow. "C'mon. Can't let you spend the rest of the night starin'. Well, really, I wouldn't mind. But we shouldn't let good plans go to waste." He purred, his gaze regarding him in a feline-like way before he drew his legs off from where they were propped on the dash. About to lean over to scramble out of the van, he paused mid-motion and looked back again, smirking at the other. "I'm Finn, by the way. Just so I wouldn't call you pumpkin all night." He winked at him at that, both flirtatiously in a way as well as suggesting that he wasn't about to drop the habit of calling each other the list of couple-oriented nicknames.

Noah perked up a little at the statement, being something that supposedly anyone would like to hear from a person they themselves put as much faith into. He looked at the milkshake, suppressing some laughter as it was planted before them with the two straws floating about. "Yeah, sure." He agreed without much hesitation in the manner, quickly studying the burger set before him, merely because he hadn't know himself what he ordered until then.

He slid out of the truck with not much a stumble as he'd come to expect, landing mostly cleanly. He watched as the other approached the side of the van, appearing quite pleased when his arm wove around him again. "Tyler. I'll keep you posted," he promised upon tasting the name, actually curious to see if he'd get used to saying it the same way he used pet names around him. It felt a lot more personal, taking that he'd known him simply as 'Copper Mouth' for a lengthy amount of time. He, not very subtly, held himself close to his date for the night, his own cheeks a reflection of a sudden rose shade that he was happy to believe wouldn't be very visible. He looked up at him and quirked a brow, "I'll tell after you actually take this lil' thief." He hummed, looking over to inspect his features again, like he couldn't quite catch a look. "To be honest, I'm pleasantly surprised. I wasn't sure what to expect beneath the mask." He teased, not entirely falsely. Tyler did, for all its worth, look a lot better than Finn had anticipated, something that he noted in spite of their ongoing antics.

-- low key might not make sense bc knock knock its literally five am

He nodded a little, looking back up at them, "It does look pretty good." He noted offhandedly, scooping up a fry earlier mentioned before slowly starting at the meal set in front of them, not rushing into it by any means. He wanted the pleasantly slow moment to last, although there was some undeniably curious part of him that wanted to hear all that had to be said from Riley once they got somewhere more comfortable, unable to help himself but wonder what that would be.

-- i need to fix my sleeping schedule that thing's messy asdjh

He cracked a half-smile when he felt the other lean his head on top of his own, if only slightly. The more open closeness was sudden and a little flustering, and although Finn considered himself mostly a person who wasn't a big fan of intimate contact -- unlike his inability to help himself but tease and flirt with anyone suiting his interest -- he felt idly comfortable. "You always do, sweets." He grinned up at him when their eyes locked together, a little surprised by the wave of awkward timidity from the other, not without reason, but still. "Say, when do you wanna meet about all that." He briefly looked toward the van, seeing the items still had to be split between them. Additionally, he liked to bask in the knowledge it wouldn't be long before he'd be able to see him again, more selfish of a thought. Besides, it had to be done at some point, preferably in a scenario where they wouldn't have to openly carry stolen goods around with them through the city. Somehow, he imagined that may bring around the wrong idea.

-- my normal attempts work for like two days
    a+ for effort tho

"Always got time to meet with you," he grinned up at him shamelessly, though that wasn't exactly true. It's not like he just sat around all day, doubting he'd handle it even if he could. "Well, that's not true. I got classes and shit, so there's that." He shrugged, expression warming at the soft smile that brightened the other's face in an admirable way. So, of course, he admired it for a short while, then found himself looking back ahead of them again. "But aside from that, I'm pretty much free. I may need a day or two, just to find someone to do business with after earlier. Y'know, don't suppose they'd be eager to see me hangin' 'round again."

He rolled his eyes playfully, giving a small shrug, "I took the promise not to cause trouble pretty seriously. Two weeks is like a personal best for me." He answered with a chuckle, shrugging slightly. Without the threat of being caught without the money -- replaced instead with anxiety of being caught and beaten, which he doubted would take place, considering he knew which places to avoid -- around the streets, nor having to worry about getting it any longer, he was free to go around pretty much as he pleased. Apart from the occasion where his roommate would begin to notice his frequent absence or having to attend lectures. Then his schedule tightened by a fraction. He looked down at his hip when his fingers began to tap on it, not mad but rather amused with the action. "Wouldn't dream about keepin' you waiting. I'll make sure to find you in three or four days." With Tyler's trademark traits, he doubted it'd be difficult. Aside from that, they had a tendency to bump into each other quite often.

    -- at least i tried
    a sentence of ultimate defeat

He tutted at him, a smile remaining on his face. The pun caused him to furrow his brows a little. The joke was awful, as puns were, but against himself, he still ended up laughing. As he had a couple of times before, he couldn't really help it. Neither wanted to. "You know how to make a man weak in the knees." He purred, shaking his head soon after at the attempt at an apology. "Eh, it's nothing. Ain't making you nervous, am I?" He asked, feeling like it was in place. He didn't necessarily want him to be anxious, never mind that he was a little surprised. Compared to their first meeting, he couldn't see how this wasn't less stressful. Still, his curiosity was stained with humor, eyes glued up at him.

Finn cocked his brow at him, smirking at the explanation. He somehow found it hard to believe that he could make the other feel anxious, in spite of it being the reality at this point, "I think it's cute." He hummed with a cheeky yet slightly flustered grin, unused to receiving genuine compliments quite as regularly, particularly from a person he deemed as attractive as Tyler himself. "You're lucky I got a shitty sense of humor." He grinned up at him, his tone softening a little as their eyes fell together again, the color on his skins deepening slightly.

He studied the smile with bemusement, allowing him to lean a little closer, giving it little thought. He was more than happy with the fact, to be entirely honest, huffing a little at the comment, growing a bit flustered. Something which he tried -- simultaneously failing -- to hide. "Am not." He grumbled childishly, though was aware of the heat flooding under his skin. "You're blushing too. A little," he added, grinning up at him in a victorious manner, taking some pride in it, as if it were an accomplishment. "It suits you. Better off without the mask hidin' it."

He made a little contented noise at the back of his throat as he felt his fingers return to the peculiar rhythm from before tapping into his hip. It wasn't particularly bothersome, having been barely able to feel it if it wasn't for the fact that he was rather sensitive to contact. "Oh?" He mused, swaying forth a little until they weren't as much as an inch apart. With some nervousness behind it, he pressed his lips to the corner of his mouth. He wasn't sure why, exactly, but while it felt like nothing much then, especially for not a 'proper' kiss, he could now feel his blush spreading to the tip of his ears. "Sorry...?" He send him a crooked grin, moving away a little again.

Becoming awkwardly shifty, he looked for a type of reaction, mostly expecting to be scorned for getting a step ahead of himself. Not surprising, considering that they haven't even technically had the planned date, not really anyway. "Almost certain?" He repeated with mock offence, smirking up at him as he was brought back against him, able to hear his heartbeat drumming in its own accelerating anticipation, eager to return the kiss once it was established that it was, in fact, okay for him to so, subconsciously bringing his arms around the other's neck, merely to bring them comfortably close.

Feeling Tyler's other hand wrap around him as well, clearly pleased with how things went. He didn't mean to cross a line by reckless behavior, something he expected was bound to happen at some point, wary not to turn the other away when they managed to get somewhat close. Finn stayed pressed close, relaxing in the embrace as they separated again. He felt himself turn a crimson color but paid no mind, chuckling a little at the statement. "Definitely wouldn't mind making that a habit," he agreed, rubbing his thumb along the nape of the other's neck, smiling stupidly.

He had to suppress a little laugh at just how cheesy they were being, compared to likely what would be expected of people like them, finding humor in a situation that otherwise costed him a little embarrassment on the most part. He rocked at the balls of his feet, preparing to make an answer, fairly certain Tyler would already be aware of its context without being spoken out loud, finding himself unable to say much as their lips collided again. He made a soft 'hmph' sound, semi-audible and majorly muffled, smiling in content.

Finn allowed himself to return to his casual posture, reluctant to leave the embrace, but also doubting just standing around kissing was the best idea they could come up with, in practice. "He sounds like a lovely man. But I get it. I wasn't allowed to a lecture once." He grinned, twining their fingers together as the other held his hand, giggling slightly. "Please do, it's been weighing me down and I'd appreciate it if you could hold it for me for a while." He nodded, beginning to make their way again.

He squeezed his hand in a small kind of affection, strolling by his side with a foolish smile, eyes focusing on the city they passed by, not really with devoted interest. He slipped into the diner as invited to by the other, glancing around. Unsurprisingly, it was mostly empty and the employees didn't look particularly happy with their night shifts either, something he found incredibly relatable. "Here," he motioned to a remote booth of kind in one of the corners, somewhere where they could get some shade of privacy, mostly away from the couple of people scattered around the tables. "Isn't this place just packed for the hour." He noted with a grin as he slid into one of the seats, letting go of his hand as he did so.

For a tendency to sit rather oddly for the most part, Finn struggled a little to find a comfortable position for himself, though soon found himself leaning on the table a little, his legs although spread locked at the ankles. He glanced around the diner, kind of familiar with it, while not really at the same time. His roommate took him there once when he invited him to a bar at the end of the last semester, where he got shitfaced and hungry and he became his personal babysitter for the remainder of the night. Without a doubt, a date with Tyler would be a much more pleasant memory. Or so he hoped, anyway. He grew aware of the other's eyes locked on him and looked over at him with a teasing grin, "See somethin' you like?"
