    Name:: Sammy Lea
    Age:: Seventeen
    Gender:: Female
    Species:: Angel; Sammy died at six to save her sister's life, but she doesn't know this and nor does her family. All she knows is that she has 'powers' that she struggles to control.
    Cabin:: #1
    Sexual Orientation:: Straight / Questioning
    Personality:: Sammy is the stereotypical 'stoner friend'; smokes weed, likes to philosophize, has huge conspiracy theories and likes to make people question everything. You could fairly describe her as a little sadistic; she enjoys disturbing those who are comfortable, but equally likes to comfort the disturbed. Additionally, she sees life differently to others and likes to question everything in it, while treating it as a big game. Her angel status, although unknown to her, has given her clarity and a subconscious understanding of the universe beyond life on Earth, subsequently making her not care about a lot of things; school, grades (although thankfully she is naturally smart), relationships, her appearance. Sammy is very laid back and seldom worries, although she acts recklessly and frequently dangerously.
    Other:: Her parents sent her to this camp because they feel that she's 'out of control'. Her weed habits and the 'wrong group of friends' have contributed to this. They love Sammy dearly but prioritize other things over her, such as her younger siblings, their jobs and the family's reputation. Also, they are conservative Christians, and one of the reasons they sent her away was to stifle the rumor that Sammy is gay because she kissed a female friend at a party. They wouldn't admit this, but are afraid of it affecting their status.

    Name:: Freddie Lea
    Age:: Seventeen
    Gender:: Male
    Species:: Human
    Cabin:: #2
    Sexual Orientation:: Straight
    Personality:: Freddie is a happy-go-lucky, friendly guy whom kindness comes naturally to. He is easygoing, accepting and loves the company of others. Freddie hates injustice and will stick up for anyone, whether it be his popular friend or the 'uncoolest' kid in the school. Although he is generally optimistic and radiates positivity, Freddie gets lonely easily and if left with his own thoughts for too long, he'll slip into a state he doesn't want to be in.
    Freddie suffers from Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, meaning he goes through periodical intense tiredness many times a day, and it doesn't go away with sleep or rest. This affects his life badly and it caused him to succumb to depression two years ago when first diagnosed, but now he can deal with it and manage his life around the condition.
    Other:: Sammy is his twin sister. They're very close, although polar opposites. Freddie didn't need to come here whereas Sammy did, but Freddie didn't want her to go through it on her own if she hated it, so he convinced their parents to let him go too.

    "Move?" Sammy glared at her brother as they both tried to exit the bus at the same time, their shoulders jamming in the doorway. With one final push Sammy jumped out first, giggling. Freddie followed and swatted his sister's shoulder, smiling too.
    They both collected their luggage from the compartment in the bus and picked up the various bags. Freddie tried to carry some of Sammy's, but he was rejected and his effort thanked with something along the lines of 'I'm not that weak."
    The siblings stood by each other and looked over the site, and at the other people who had already arrived. Sammy lingered back on her own but Freddie approached the guy who had just gotten off the bus with a smile.
    "Hey, man. I'm Freddie. Do you know where we're supposed to be?" he asked, by way of introduction.

    [font=times new roman]Freddie thanked him and smiled at everyone, already in his element. He loved meeting and talking to new people. Sammy, on the other hand, hung back behind her brother and quietly observed everybody. She'd seen a couple of girls already and presumed that they'd all be in the same cabin, but was way too wary to go and approach them.

    [font=times new roman]
    Grinning, Freddie replied with "Yeah, it sure is!", before flashing a quick reassuring smile at his sister. Sammy raised her eyebrows back and turned her attention to the girl who just spoke.
    Her unorthodox opening line caught Sammy's attention, provoking a little smile. At least some of the people here seemed interesting.

    - truth be told, luke is dangerous. unstable, fearless and single-minded, his unshakable mindset can be a key ingredient in a recipe for disaster. when luke wants something, he gets it. however, he isn't pushy. in fact, he's polite, patient and pleasant. on the surface, at least.
    while luke can be complicated and brooding, if you catch him in the right mood he can show you the world.

    To direct her lightly curled, shiny mahogany ponytail away from her face, Jade twitched her head a little. Her arms remained above her head and her body stock still, to support a fellow cheerleader above her.
    She kept rigid. Only six more seconds. Five, four, three, two, one... eventually, she saw the girl at the top of the pyramid tumble down to the ground in a neat ball. The music stopped and Jade relaxed, stretching her trembling limbs.
    "Again!" Miss Quinn, the coach, demanded. "Jade, your toe touches. We call them toe touches for a reason. You freaking touch them."
    Rolling her eyes, Jade tightened her ponytail and obliged. "Sure." she muttered.
    Once the whole rigmarole was finished for the sixth time, the coach was eventually satisfied and the girls were allowed to go.

    "I'm the head cheerleader," Jade sighed to her best friend as they made their way out of the gym. "We don't need coach hanging around constantly. I know what I'm doing. I'm capable of coaching us all."
    Knowing better than to argue, Nat nodded without a word and bade goodbye, heading to the canteen. Jade didn't notice. Instead she caught sight of a girl, sitting on her own in the bleachers, whom she hadn't seen around before. Despite her 'popular girl' status, Jade knew and kept track of pretty much everyone in her year, but didn't recognise this girl with the dark hair and against-dress-code piercings. Maybe that's why she intrigued her.

    As always, it had been a struggle that morning to get up. After awakening while it was still dark, Luke had laid quietly in his lair of crumpled sheets for a long time; yet only stirred himself at the obnoxious beep of his alarm. After dressing in the regulation white-shirt, black trousers ensemble, Luke quickly fixed his hair and trudged downstairs.
    He was greeted by the sight of his mom cooking pancakes and the smell made him feel sick. Toast, yes. Cornflakes, yes. Bacon, tomato, freaking mushrooms, yes - but not pancakes. A particular incident involving too many of the things when Luke was ten made him recoil at the smell alone.
    Stacy, his mom, knew this but didn't fail to make them every morning for his younger brother. The boy in question was currently munching his third, Nutella smeared around his mouth.
    "Heck, Toby," Luke commented with a wry smile. "You'll get even fatter if you keep stuffing those."
    Toby, tall, muscular and skinny, laughed and skipped out of the room, not taking offence. Luke himself had an enviable body. Despite his tendency to claim, usually to girls, that hours spent lifting weights at the gym had contributed to his build, the young man really didn't exercise. He was just lucky that he had fast metabolism and a small appetite.
    Eventually, after Toby had lost and found his tie, his step-dad had yelled at Stacy for losing the Jaguar keys before realising that they were in fact in his pocket and Stacy had made yet another cup of coffee, the whole family was out of the house. Stephen sped off to work and the now three-piece ensemble made their way next door.

    --

    Luke stood in the doorway and swallowed. Everybody was looking at him. He dragged out the silence just a bit longer, to worry his mom, before breaking out a charming smile.
    "Hello." His voice was friendly but lacked the warm undertone you usually hear when meeting a kind stranger. His eyes locked on Freya and reluctantly resisted the urge to check her out in front of her mom. It was hard. Meanwhile, his mother smiled at Freya's and Toby moaned that he was bored and wanted to leave, immediately.
    "That's perfectly alright with us, isn't it, Luke?" Mrs Swan said in reply to Freya's mother. Unlike her son, she was all cheerful ambience and genuine warmth. Luke twitched almost undetectably in irritation at this, and wanted to get going. He kept his smile on, though.

    Luke yanked open the door of the Mustang and sat down heavily inside, before shutting it maybe a little harder than he needed to. The engine revved as he turned the keys, pulled out of the street and started down the road. It was hard for Luke not to speed past the annoyingly identical rows of houses; the suburb's familiarity irritating him. He wanted to drive so fast the tires burned, leaving marks in the black tarmac, glistening slightly in the distance under the LA sun.
    Instead, Luke settled on the speed limit, remembering what had happened last time he returned home with a ticket.
    It was only then he realised that the girl had spoken. In a monotonous, flat voice he replied.
    "Do you mean what is this school like? Because if you do, you can find out for yourself. If you don't like it then go home. Easy, right?"
    The silence that ensued came as a relief to Luke. He did not enjoy small talk. Instead, he focused on the roaring sound of his car as they passed through the town, buildings flashing by at fifty miles per hour. Yet as he did this he found himself attempting to ignore the brunette's presence, that filled some sort of space that had never been there before during all those months of driving to school alone.

    As the car door slammed and Freya, in all her beautiful glory, quickly put distance between them, Luke winced. He sat quietly for a moment and breathed out, stopping up the passage to guilt. She definitely overreacted. Didn't she? I mean, why freak out and run off without looking back?
    Running his hand through his hair, Luke grabbed his school bag and exited the car himself. The bright sun bore down before him, illuminating the school and searing his eyes a little. In all honestly, Luke disliked the sun and the warmth. It got on his nerves. He preferred winter, when all was dark, cool and quiet. When people wrapped up and kept to themselves.
    The young man was quickly snapped out of his distraction by a loud girly giggle, accompanied with 'Hi, Luke!'. Luke smiled briefly at the gang of freshmen who had just 'stumbled upon him' in the most obvious manner. He really needed to stop attracting underage girls who still wore training bras and braces, and instead focus on those more in his league.
    Or out of it.
    Speaking of them, Luke noticed Freya in the hallway. She'd dropped her things. Typical. With a resentful sigh, he supposed that he'd better head on over to help her out, or at least act like he was about to - their moms would definitely talk, and if his found out that Luke had been treating her less than ideally, there'd be hell to pay.
    However, just as Luke reached Freya, some guy beat her to it. Not just any guy, however; Maverick Harwood. Luke's teeth gritted sightly at the sight and sound and obnoxious presence of him. He walked a little faster.

    "Um, no, anyone can come along." Jade replied. She folded her arms over her chest and returned the girl's gaze, although maybe not in the same way she'd received it.
    With a small smile the brunette spoke again. "Yeah, she is kinda. She just wants us to do well, I guess. Although cheerleading isn't everything."
    Glancing back at the girl, Jade wondered why she'd never seen her around before. She decided to ask. "Are you new here, by any chance? I don't recognise you."

    Luke watched Maverick drift away and stayed watching until the tall blonde guy had turned a corner. He clenched his jaw slightly. That guy. It was only then he made his way over to the pretty blonde and her friend; at her beck and call, as always.

    "Hey, Lika," Luke murmured in reply, raising his eyebrows in a brief greeting before looking back down at the floor.
    "Luke! Over here." At the deep masculine call, Luke looked up. Three of his friends stood by the stairs and motioned for him to come over. With an apologetic facial expression he signaled that he had to stay here, and earned an understanding grin and thumbs-up in response.
    So he stayed hovering behind Freya, and listened to the icy conversation that followed.
    Why are girls such bxtches to each other? he wondered as the three exchanged bitter comments. Would it hurt Freya to attempt at making a good impression on her first day? Would being friendly for once really scar Lika for life? Apparently so.
    Rolling his eyes the tiniest fraction as Freya wisely kept quiet, he turned to Miss Popular. "Lika. Want to maybe help Freya out a bit?" Luke accompanied these words with a flash of dazzling smile, standing a little closer to her. He then glanced back at the brunette, wondering how she'd respond.

    "Yeah, I'm Jade." Pleased at the her-being-famous comment, she couldn't help preening a little and flicking her long ponytail. She looked at Naomi again and smiled.
    "Rebel, huh?" Jade glanced around and licked her lips once. "You might wanna keep a lid on that around here. You'll either get pulled up by the hard-*ss teachers or get into the wrong crowd." She pulled a face. "Yeah, stay away from them."

    Luke smiled emptily at Lika, winked at her and watched her walk off. However, he soon found his eyes trained on Freya instead of the blonde; and they didn't move until the enchanting trio had turned the corner. He sighed and scuffed the tips of his Vans on the hard floor, before making his way to his own first period. Biology.
    As he passed through the corridors, the irregular throb of moving students slowly lessening, Luke contemplated his luck at not having a class with either Lika or Freya. They all were clearly in the same science band, but fortunately this time he wouldn't have to spend an hour listening to the three young women bicker amongst themselves. Well, that might not even happen; if Luke knew anything, he knew that girls were weird. They could backstab, bxtch, and become best friends all in the space of half an hour.

    Shaking his head, the young man meandered towards room 300 and entered the lab quietly. The door shut behind him. Some of the windows were open, which granted the room an airy breeze and stopped the LA sun wreaking too much havoc on his core body temperature. As he sat down, Luke scanned the room for friends or, admittedly, hot girls - of which there were aplenty. However, he barely seemed to notice them this time. Neither did he take note of any of the work he was supposed to be doing. He was distracted; but by what, he didn't know.

    ooc; you probably figured haha but I just realised that there's no scroll thing on any of my posts, jsyk they scroll down and there is more :3

    It seemed like forever, but eventually the bell signalling the end of first period echoed in the empty halls. Some seconds later dozens of teenagers spilled out of the doors, filling up the previously vacant space. Luke was among them. He ran his hand through his hair and pulled his backpack over his shoulder. Where to now? Oh yes. English, room 345.
    Privately, Luke enjoyed English. Maybe Shakespeare wasn't the 'in' thing and the Brontë sisters weren't cool, but he'd always liked the way the subject wasn't confined to yes and no answers. Some freedom was granted, but there was also a level of precision that you had to attain, in order to excel.
    And excel he did. As much as the young man liked to come across not-bothered and no-shxts-giving, Luke was pretty intellectual. His only problem area was homework and coursework; two things very much on the bottom of his list of priorities. This hamartia often landed him in trouble and his grades slipped notably because of it. Today though, there were no due-dates looming on the horizon and therefore Luke was reasonably chipper. He was free to do whatever he wanted tonight, and probably tomorrow night too.
    Luke arrived at room 305 fairly early, greeted the teacher with a half smile and made his way over to his usual seat at the back. Once settled in the precariously wobbly chair, he glanced up at the work displayed on the walls - and grinned as he noticed a masterpiece of Lika Harwood's. There was her name, scrawled in large cursive at the top. Squinting at the writing, Luke came to the conclusion that it was supposed to be a haiku; although it was difficult to tell. That girl, he thought with a chuckle.

    Luke turned his attention back to the front of the class, as the teacher began to scribble the date and title on the board, and some more people spilled in. He scanned this wave of students somewhat attentively, while tapping his pen on the desk.
