Dragonclaw noticed the pile of ashes. "Whoa," he murmured. "Something big must have happened. That pile of ashes wasn't there before the fight." His eyes widened as the realization came upon him. "Did I...did I turn Jasper to ashes somehow?"

Dragonclaw struggled to process this. Sure, his ancestors said he'd "gotten in touch with the royal dragon bloodline," but a cat breathing fire to kill another? That seemed too bizarre to be true, but apparently it was. Dragonclaw was descended from dragon royalty! That should've made him feel better, but it only scared him, knowing he had enough power within him to turn another cat into nothing but a pile of ashes. He took a shaky breath. "When I was passed out," he said, "I...I was visited."

"By my ancestors," Dragonclaw said slowly. "Apparently I come from a long line of dragon royalty. I met 6 of them. They said their names were Honeth, Lord Of Fire, Aigazora the Red Death, Bassilth Lord of the Skies, Jielarth Champion of Men, Quoloth Redeemer of Men, and Balthazar Protector of All. They said they were proud of me for getting in touch with "the royal dragon bloodline," but also that Jasper has not been permanently defeated, just temporarily forced back to the Dark Forest where he will take a long time to regain a physical form." Dragonclaw sounded a bit worried at this last part. He knew that since he was descended from dragons, he would likely live a lot longer than the rest of the clan, and that scared him, as InfernoClan was really the first place he felt accepted for what he was.

((Dragonclaw, Deer, and Ebony fought Jasper. During the fight, Dragonclaw was able to get in touch with his draconic heritage and burn Jasper to ashes with fiery breath. Afterwards, he collapsed and was visited by his ancestors in a dream, who told him they were proud of him for being able to get in touch with "the royal dragon bloodline," and also that Jasper wasn't truly killed, but temporarily forced back into the Dark Forest, where he would take a long time to regain a physical form. Dragonclaw and Deer were severely injured, and Shadow seems to be quite angry at Deer.))

and Snowpaw is being "guarded" by Shadowpaw, from Deer I think.

I would like to add my OC Dragonclaw to the series, as well as voice him if that's OK. I've been told I have a gift for acting, and I want to put that to use. I can send you an email with some lines and an audition tape, if you need it.

yes, well, I was hoping Dragonclaw could be sort of a...recurring minor character throughout the series, like he helps out the main characters during times of need, such as a tough fight, or when there's not enough freshkill.

Dragonclaw sighed. "I'm scared," he said softly. "Now that I know for certain I'm part dragon, I also know that I'll more than likely outlive the rest of you guys. That scares me, because you guys are really the only family I've truly been able to call my family. I don't want to be all alone again." Tears started welling up in his eyes, and he tried to blink them away.

((Yeah, underneath all that tough guy exterior attitude, Dragonclaw is kind of a scared little kit. He's been alone his entire life until he met Furnacestar, and he wants to be in the company of family and friends. He doesn't want to be alone ever again, because he's been that way for too long already.))

Dragonclaw smiled to himself. It felt kind of good, getting that off his chest, but he was still scared of being alone, and still a little shaken up from the fact that he was descended from royal dragons. Maybe he should just make do with what he has for the moment, and worry about it when the time comes.

((I was thinking that Dragonclaw could start a family with Ebonymoss, since she's the one he's secretly most attached to. I mean, as long as that's okay with you, Ebony.))

geez, it's been, like 2 months and nothing's happened. WHERE IS EVERYONE?!

(Yeah, kinda been wondering where everyone disappeared to. my original post was, like, 3 months ago now, and NOTHING has happened. It's sad, the way this thread...and it pains me to say this...DIED. this is the first thread I was really active in, and it's gone kaput. I wish someone would respond to my last story-related post so we could keep it going, but after 3 months of no activity, I've almost given up on it, and I don't give up on stuff easily.)

(I was wondering...maybe you and I could start our own clan and RP for it, since we seem to be the only ones that are still "active" on this one. We could take our characters from here and have them start a clan, what do you think?)

(I've been thinking about that, and the names I came up with are: DragonClan, VulcanClan, DracoClan, and FireClan. which of those sounds good to you? I personally like DragonClan or FireClan.)

Cats Needed to fill FireClan! FireClan resides inside the crater of an extinct volcano on a remote island in the South Atlantic. There is a lone tree in the center, which is Dragonstar's usual perch so he can keep an eye on things, as well as a sunning rock. There are several caves in the walls of the crater, which serve as both shelter from the sun and the living areas for the clan. The caves also lead into a tunnel system that leads outside the volcano and into the surrounding forest, where the clan hunts for food. The days are hot and nights relatively cool, at least compared to the daytime temperature.

Needed: Medicine Cat, Medicine Cat Apprentice, Warriors, Queens, Elders, Apprentices, Leader's mate.

What we have so far: Leader (me, Dragonfire149, as my cat, a tom named Dragonstar), Deputy (mego ☆ as her cat, a tom named Deer.)

Dragonstar sat in his tree, surveying the surrounding area. Hmm, not much going on right now, he thought to himself. I think I'll go hunt in the forest for a bit. He leaped down from the branch he was perched on, and followed the tunnel system into the forest.
