RiverClan was quite stressful at the moment. With all of the drama surrounding her various confused emotions, the feline had decided she needed a break from the life of her clan. Of course, she'd still be keeping up with her duties, but a break was needed before she became stressed enough to take out her anger on someone else. She tended to highly dislike that; it was one's own responsibility to retain control of their emotions, and that was something she would always strive to do.

The journey had not been hard on her; after years of travelling alone, her body was well conditioned to journeying distances. If she had said she wasn't excited for the prospect of learning more about another clan, she would have been lying; the Riverguard trainee tended to obsess over other clans for some reason, always after her perpetual pursuit of knowledge. This was the reason a rare smile made its way onto her usually placid expression; this was something she had been planning on since Praguespring's visit. Perhaps she'd see him here.

Radiumveins had been standing at the border for a few minutes, drinking in the sight before her. The territory was vastly different from her own; the grass itself felt different under her paws. Deciding not to waste any further time, she took a deep breath then exhaled. "My name is Radiumveins, I'm here to stay for a bit if that's alright."

    What had she even become?

Lucy's mind was stuck in the past. her childhood memories. usually foggy and unclear, were returning to her with full force. Everything was hitting her so hard lately that it was almost impossible not to take up her former alcoholism, which she'd been clean from for almost seven months now. Why was her childhood so hard to think about? Had it really been that bad?

Right then, it was the memory of Vertigo's death that was returning to her. Vertigo had been like a brother to her; the first raid she'd ever been on, he protected her and they had kicked some serious ass, especially considering he'd been a giant hydra and she'd been an undersized two month old kitten. And gods, the flash grenade attack they used to use together with her old shifting pelt; the nostalgia was almost palpable. She had grown close to him as a child and he had died, leaving her feeling empty and alone. It was the first death of significance in her life and one that had shaped her future in ways she had no way of knowing.

When the body of her friend had been discovered, her uncle Perevesti had been completely insensitive. Her other uncle, Casmir, had even defended him. That was the beginning of her hatred for the two family members, one that still lasted to the most current point in her life. Although she tried to be civil to avoid exile, there was no end to her vehemence when concerning the pair. That day was also the official day she and Blackjack had gotten together. After he had defended her against her uncles, they had gone off on their own, both utterly furious. Back then she'd even had her white serval body, the same one she used for her formerly-signature kills. As a child she tended to enjoy the color of blood against the bright white, but after a while, her paws were stained a permanent brown that couldn't be washed out. She still had the body around, actually. For nostalgia's sake.

That had been the night Lucy's first child had been conceived; Littlekit, Cagedpaw, whatever it was her child decided to go by. Although her daughter hated her after Blackjack's first death by her own paws, she never stopped loving her even up to the moment of her death. Oh christ, she missed her baby. Of course she hadn't been the best mother; being busy all the time and having constant relationship problems with her ex-husband, it was nearly impossible to be the type of mother she'd wanted to be.

Blackjack's first death. That was the next memory to come flooding in, causing the cougress physical pain. She took a step back and a gasp escaped her throat, eyes stretched wide. A tree had fallen on Black, and after that, a cougar had mauled him. He begged her for a mercy kill, and she had followed through. After that, when he came back, he had hit her after hallucinating; it hadn't been his fault, but Lucy didn't know how to deal with the situation in the slightest. Obviously, the feline had been angry. Angry enough to say things she regretted, to the point her and Blackjack had broken up. He had gone off somewhere and gotten shot in the head; on the ground was the note saying it was her fault. That was what had caused her first death; suicide. Back then she hadn't the mental capacity to deal with any amount of pain. However, she'd come back; it wasn't long before she was forced back into the mortal world. Death didn't ever seem to suit her.

After that, her and Black ended up back together, eventually with more kids. Logan and Mayday were the only two to survive; both were loved, but parenting was not Lucy's strong suit. Mayday became a mass rapist and tried to attack Lucy herself; her own daughter attempted a sexual assault on her. Logan was a wonderful child; she loved flowers and tended to be a pacifist. The former leader usually hated pacifists, but in her daughter, it was just all the more endearing.

Despite everything, Lucy could never see the wrong in her children. Her love for them was unconditional.

Blackjack and Lucy's relationship didn't last long after their marriage. After days of no sleep, her husband ate Logan alive in front of her, tossing the rest of the remains at his shocked wife. That had been the end of their relationship and friendship; she couldn't even bear to speak his name without feeling sick after that. He'd taken her precious daughter away, and that was unforgivable.

After everything with Blackjack, she'd gotten into another relationship. That had been with Ichigo of course; she loved him more than she thought possible for anyone. After everything, he'd always been there, even when she went half-insane during her reign of her home. During her pregnancy with their first litter, Blackjack had poisoned her, causing her to become sick and every cub in her womb to die. Ichigo had of course been furious; those were his first children. She knew it hurt him more than he'd let on. The following littler had better success; all five cubs were born healthy, but after not too long, only two remained. It killed her to know she was helpless in protecting the ones she loved above all else.

Gods, she used to care so much about family. Where then, were her siblings? Her parents? Her children? It had been a long time since Ichigo's death and Belial's ultimate leaving; she'd been alone for some time. There was nobody left to even care about, other than Finn. And half the time, she refused to even consider them family.

What about Chemical? Her original adopted father? The clan used to be absolutely overflowing with Warfares; where had they all gone? Where were her family? Where were her friends? Was everyone from her past just. . . gone? The albino cougress was not aware, but tears were leaking from her eyes. How had she gotten so far from who she used to be?

With a familiar tingling sensation, the former leader's body began to shrink. Black ram horns receded into her skull and her white fur became brown and striped. Previously pink eyes faded to a pale amber, and one scar appeared on her face, curling the left side of her maw into a perpetual grin. She'd subconsciously reverted to the body of her birth, one very few were left to recognize. Shaking, the small domestic padded over to the water to look at her reflection. She remained locked in place, staring at her own face. She hadn't reverted to this form in ears. So, why now? What had triggered all of this?

Of course, it was the placement. The pond. She was standing next to the place all of her childhood memories were stored. This was the place of her life. This place. . . it held too many memories. There was too much here for her to know how to handle. Only one solution could come to mind.

Inhaling a shaky breath, Lucy conjured a single bottle next to her paw. It was the cheap whiskey her and Annie used to drink together in that very place; it was the place she used to ride around on her best friend's back in the pond, the place Blackjack had made their relationship official, and the place she'd died.

Uncapping the bottle, Lucy took a single swig. She couldn't do this anymore.

Radiumveins arrived next, gray-blue eyes scanning the area. Along with the leader, six of her coworkers had arrived, a good turn out so far. Hopefully they could discuss ideas and such in this meeting, which seemed to be the point of such gatherings.

As soon as Tadashi dropped the flower, Radiumveins' entire body flushed with heat. This, or anything like it, had ever happened to the feline. She was a closed-off creature usually; travelling alone for four years had made her social skills deteriorate. An overwhelming euphoria was threatening to bubble out of her chest, which only further confused the riverguard trainee.

Despite her attempts, it was impossible to keep the smile from spreading across her face. The fact that anything had reminded Tadashi of her meant she'd been on his mind, and for some reason, that realization brought her a giddy feeling unlike any she'd felt previously. It did happen to be quite a unique shade of blue; tinged with gray, it perfectly matched her eyes. Without an explanation she suddenly felt she was about to shed tears, which didn't make any logical sense in that situation. What was going on with her emotions? Something just felt off, but not in a way she minded - the feeling seemed centered around the tiger in front of her. It was a feeling she didn't seem to want to go away.

Not able to get rid of the grin even at Mistkit's interruption (she did feel quite awkward around children, after all), she nodded once, purr rumbling out of her throat. "I-It's a beautiful flower, Tadashi. Thank you."

Radiumveins' cool gray-blue gaze first fell upon Redkit, greeting the cougar cub with a dip of her head. She was practically buzzing with the excitement of getting to learn new things about the allied clan, but this did not show through. "Thank you, Redkit," she responded after his statement, voice matching her expression. She'd always had a habit of remaining somewhat monotone.

Next to arrive was Kate, who was seemingly pregnant. Radiumveins herself was not quite ready for children and did not know how to deal with them in the slightest. being a mother seemed rewarding and fulfilling, but also quite stressful and time-consuming. An image of Tadashi flashed in her mind as she thought of parenthood, quickly pushed away with contained embarrassment. If she were to have children, it would have to be in a time that the Clan would not need her services. The riverguard trainee would need to focus all her energy on raising kits. Any mother would be expected to do the same, and although she had not even known Kate long enough to know anything about her, the medic intern seemed to have a kind disposition. She would make a good mother. "Yes, a visit. And no thank you, I drank from a stream not too far behind me, but I do appreciate your hospitality."

After the second brief exchange, the feline passed her attention on to the next to arrive. Stevie was how she'd introduced herself, and her manner of speech seemed different from the rest. By Radiumveins' assumption, she had come from a different area of the world, raised by others with similar speech patterns. "Thank you Stevie, pleasure to meet you."

Ah, and then the one she was already acquainted with. "Of course," she responded to his first statement, dipping her head in greeting as she had the others. Hopefully now she would get the chance to learn about this foreign land as she'd wanted to so long; her curiosity had always been centered around Clans. "I tour would be great." He likely presumed that she'd be asking questions along the way - he wasn't wrong if that was the case.

//sorry for the late reply!! i was on a really long car ride and trying to type on my phone in a vehicle gives me motion sickness

The feline remained silent as one after another streamed in, glad to see others with dedication to their jobs. No wonder RiverClan was improving and growing; with a strong leader and dedicated high positions, it was impossible not to thrive. Considering this place was her home, it made her glad to see it so healthy. With a nod to each who arrived, she finally settled her gray-blue gaze on Athena, dipping her head to her like she'd done to the others. It was her standard greeting, one that displayed respect - she always tended to feel respect was important, especially in the work environment. "No worries, and thank you all for coming. I'm not sure when it was, but I believe most, if not all of you, were there when I suggested a boot camp. I've been thinking on it for a while and would like to request that I hold it - and possibly invite allies as well. Maintaining strong foreign relations is important to the health of a clan, as you all know." With all of her various ideas, she tended to suggest involving their allies. As she stated, alliances were pivotal in clan life. "I'd also like to suggest a summer prom. There can be formal dates, we can invite allies, and it would give everyone a break from hard work. The anticlans seem to be taking a break from antagonizing us, so it seems like a good time for a party."

    "Hey, Lucy!"

That couldn't have been who she thought it was. There was no way, right? Her children. . . they were gone. Adeline had been the last one she saw, and even Adeline's son, her grandson Pyrrhicwar, was dead. Her whole family was essentially dead or missing, and none of her children had shown up in ages. So, this couldn't be. Right? This couldn't be her daughter.

    But it was.

It was hard to mistake the dragoness; after all, she'd hatched the kid. Lucy wasted no time on words as soon as she'd heard her name being called, pinkish eyes stretched wide as she sprinted forward as fast as she could. Most would likely have expected her to slow as she reached her daughter, but the albino cougress continued to barrel forward, toned muscles moving beneath her pelt. Aiming to tackle the dragon, she could feel tears welling up in her eyes.

    No words could express this.

Hell, this was her home and she didn't even know a singe damn person here. The only way to remedy such things was a meet and greet - that way, she could meet whoever had joined the clan since her death.

"Someone meet me and f*ckin' greet me, I need to get to know you all," the cougress called out, accidentally knocking over a bottle of whiskey in the process. She was a bit drunk, her tolerance having dropped quite a bit after her attempted sobriety. That was out the window now, so she could once again drown her feelings in liquor.

Blinking twice, she moved her head back, eyes wide for a moment. She seemed dreadfully confused but recovered quickly, shaking it off. "Whoops, sorry for language. Unless you guys don't give a sh - fu - goddammit, I'm trying to say unless you guys don't care." Picking up the bottle, she took another sip, closing her eyes to enjoy the harsh flavor.

"HEY! I have a lot of questions so someone needs to catch me up." Even though she tended to be loud, she at least was making an effort to yell quietly. The statement in itself was an oxymoron, but she couldn't help herself. Perhaps she was just excited about being back.

"First off, who the fuck moved us here? I miss the desert. Also, what's changed around this shithole?" Realizing her mistake, she cleared her throat somewhat awkwardly. "I, ah - mean that in the nicest way possible. Used to hating the place I live since I left here, y'know?" They probably didn't know, but who cared. "And uh, status on owning slaves? Is that still a thing or a no-go now?" Back in the day Lucy had been a massive slavedriver; it would be nice to pick that back up again. Her slaves had been fed and treated decently fine if they behaved, they were just the various enemies that she'd captured. All of them were dead by then, probably; she'd had them locked up when she died and she doubted anyone had opened the doors in the old territory since then.

"Well, that's alright! I was born here - well not here, the desert, but BloodClan. I just did my best to learn, you'll do great," Lucy responded to Adelaide's statement, offering a grin. She wasn't usually type to be encouraging, but kids were an exception. She'd always been of the firm belief that age didn't mean much. Everyone had potential. It was a surprisingly positive outlook for someone so cynical.

Oh, Evangeline had answered her question. Lucy hadn't yet met the other leader, but so far she liked this one. She seemed on top of things, which was always important to the health of a clan. Hopefully it could begin to thrive once more. "Oh, well, that makes sense. *in. . . how'd they even get there?" "Walkers" weren't something she'd encountered, so it wasn't like she could tell everyone she'd deal with the problem. Of course she'd be journeying back to the desert to see what they even were, and hopefully not wreck her body along the way. It was her favorite one, after all. "Good thing about the slaves though. They can be useful as hell, I'll prove it sometime." She planned on doing just that, of course. Then was the issue of what BloodClan was like when she led. "Well, weekly meetings and such. We also had disaster simulators at random unannounced times, which I controlled with elemental powers. It prepared the clan for natural disaster. Pretty useful in the long run, but I doubt those are still going on. I could start 'em back up if you want," the cougress offered, grin once more spreading across her face. She enjoyed the simulators; they gave her a chance to push her powers. "Rankings, right. The tier system's still in place right? And are leaders still commanders or is there a less boring-slash-cliche name for it now?"

Her pinkish gaze then moved onto Beth as she spoke, shrugging once. "I've got more questions for later, so hopefully they can be answered." Gods she didn't know any of these people. Well, maybe their names, but there was a time when she had a personal relationship with nearly everyone in the clan. Those days were over, but it was possible they could be revived. "And don't worry, you'll learn all this stuff in no time. Actually, being here you'll learn stuff, so stick around," she added to Akise, tail flicking in his direction.

Wait, wait, wait. That. . . what the fuck? Was that - no, no, no, were all her kids just appearing out of no where? It wasn't a bad thing, but it was hard to remain composed when things that emotional happened. "Wh- GOD WHERE DO YOU KIDS KEEP COMING FROM I FUCKIN' MISSED YOU!" Digging her claws into the ground to keep her from pouncing on her child, the cougress instead stared somewhat awkwardly. Gods, she wished their father was here.

For the first time in her life, Lucy didn't know who BloodClan's allies were. She had automatically recognized the scent of StormClan from quite a bit away; she remembered the war with them well. It had been one of the dumbest battles she'd fought; the entire thing had been started purely because they refused to kick out one of the people she'd exiled: Bill. He was one of the many she would forever hate, for reasons that she would never publicly announce. The only to know was her twin considering they'd been there, but likely, they would try to kill her if she brought it up.

Back in her days as leader, their policy on enemies was attack on sight. She had no idea if this still stood or if StormClan was even an enemy, so there was no physical reaction, just a verbal greeting. "My name is Lucy. Since you're on our border I'm assuming this isn't an attack, and I have no idea what out Clan relationship even is, so I should probably ask; who are you guys and what are you doing here?" The statement was as non-threatening as her body language; she'd lazily sat down as she arrived, one ear flicked back and her tail swinging idly behind her.
    [/fancypost]

    [fancypost bgcolor=; border: transparent; background: url(http://i.imgur.com/zg7XCh8.png); height: auto; width: 420px][fancypost bgcolor=; border: transparent;margin-top: -18px; width: 378px; height: auto; text-align: justify; font-family: arial; font-size: 10pt; color: white;]
Wispy clouds drifted around the blue sky, showing the day would bring no bad weather that day or in the coming days. If Lucy so wanted she could change the weather patterns, but in her mind, it was generally better to allow nature to run its course. She was squinting up at the sun then, white fur practically glowing in the bright light. That was the only downside to this body; she stood out quite a bit. Well, there was only one remedy for that. It was too hot out for fur anyway.

Unlike others, shifting into a new body proved to be quite bloody each time. Her transformation began with the wings; along her shoulder blades, the muscles began to bulge and writhe beneath her increasingly stretching skin. With a dreadful ripping sound, massive silver wings tore through her flesh as the rest of her body began to expand, spikes running along her spine stabbing through the skin along her neck and back. Four sets of horns emerged from her skull with an unforgettable grinding noise, snout growing forward and teeth elongating. By the time the entire transformation was done, a massive leathery-skinned wyvern stood among a heap of bloody white fur, shaking the red liquid off its maroon-scaled surface. Her coloring nearly matched that of the blood she was attempting to shake off, spreading crimson droplets about the area. The entire process was exceedingly painful, but it was always fun to see the reactions to whoever was unlucky enough to watch the transformation.

An idea had come to her not long before, one that she herself had witnessed as a child. She remembered how Azi, Ancalagon back then, had given her a ride in his dragon body; Vertigo had done the same. Everything around there seemed to be making her feel so nostalgic. Spiked tail waving behind her, the wyvern called out, "Anyone want a ride?"
    [/fancypost]

Where even was the high position area? Lucy was becoming increasingly frustrated with not knowing her way around the new camp, but she was too stubborn to accept a tour. She'd figure it out on her own soon enough. An annoyed huff was followed by a pronounced "plop" on the ground, the ram-horned cougress licking her teeth. Her pinkish eyes were narrowed, quite obviously a sign of her losing patience. It wasn't anyone's fault but her own, considering she refused to accept even minor help.

"ANYONE WHO CAN APPROVE SHIT, I NEED YOU. I HAVE AN IDEA AND I'M GETTING REALLY FRUSTRATED BECAUSE I CAN'T FIND YOU." Considering they'd likely arrive quite quickly from her rather loud vocalization, she continued almost immediately. "Why don't we have a summer prom? We can invite allies and all that, plus I always liked parties."

Lucy didn't notice everyone's apparent distaste of alcohol; the old BloodClan had been full of others just like her, so she wasn't particularly used to anyone complaining. Even in the Rift after her first joining, she'd been constantly drunk. Well, that was her average state. It had been since childhood; being around adults that quite obviously didn't care was helpful. "Lucy's m'name," she drawled in response to Tessa, pink tongue running along her lips absentmindedly. "Lucy Tooooor-mentusss." Nodding decisively, she stumbled a bit from the movement, quickly catching herself. "Got lotsa more last names, actually. . . f*ck if I remember them."

Lucy's glassed-over gaze moved onto Adelaide next, squinting at the name. She remembered Adelaide the old DarkClan leader, but no way in hell was she the same one. Unless. . . she shrank! Wait, no, Addie was dead. But the two last names were familiar. "Whoooooo are your parents, young child?" Maybe she knew them. Probably, actually; she knew a lot of people.

Oooooh, and then had arrived their royal leader. Lucy couldn't help but grin; this gal was everywhere. She appreciated that. Leaders were meant to keep the clan in order and that was impossible if they were never there. "Eva? Well, my name is pretty short but if you feel like it you can call me Luce. Heh, my ex-husband always called me that. I think he's dead." The statement was followed by a snort, thinking of all they'd been through. Couldn't hurt her when she was drunk, right? Grabbing the mostly empty bottle of whiskey in her maw, she tilted her head backwards and the remainder of the golden-brown liquid flowed down her throat. That was the second fifth she'd downed in less than three hours.

She did remember Duskmire, along with the few before; she had seen him around a couple times, meaning he was pretty active everywhere as well. "Youp," she responded with a single nod. She was lucky her name was easy to remember; it was a bland one, but it suited her somehow. "Nice to meet ye, matey."

"Lucille, to be exact. Actually I'm kidding, just Lucy, or shit-for brains. Whichever you prefer." A faint chuckle followed her words, eyes slowly drifting closed before snapping open. "Shit I almost fell asleep." Sometimes she forgot to pause in between words so her speech sounded rushed, almost like one extended word. Gods, she needed to learn not to get so shitfaced in public.

"Hang on, I'm glowing?" Lucy sounded genuinely confused by Juggernaughtcub's statement that she was a "ray of sunshine." It was a term she'd heard before but forgotten the meaning of, thus the momentary panic as she glanced around her body. Apparently, the movement was too quick. Slowly drifting to the side, she eventually toppled over, continuing to lay there with her eyes blank. "Am I dead?"

In all honestly, Lucy liked Duskmire. He was always there when she wanted to say something, even if he did seem a bit timid; perhaps the dance would help her break him out of his shell. "Thanks for the support," she responded with a grin, aiming to pat him on the head with one large white paw.

Attention flicking to Juggernaut next, her grin only grew wider. She'd always had an avid appreciation for both sarcasm and pessimism; both traits the cub seemed to possess. It wasn't going to take long before she began enjoying her time in BloodClan. Hell, the fun had already started. "Wouldn't be prom without the sappy love story bullshit, right? Bet you'll fit right in."

Well, here was someone she hadn't met, but already was taking a liking to. His sarcasm was appreciated. Gods, this was why she loved her old home. Everyone was so fucking fun to be around. Nodding in Crackedpaw's direction, she then flicked her attention to Evangeline.

"'Course. I can send out invites, too. Want it to be a multi-tiered event? Competitions and such, I mean. We can have a mass meet and greet to start with then move to the dance, where there'll be contests. We could also have people vote for shit like choice awards; the king and queen of course, but also shit like "most likely to be dateless" and "favorite crackship." I can set all that stuff up too." If she was being honest, she just had a thing for setting up events.
