Soul grumbled, "Too bad... I already know because Yume asked me what your weak spots were..." he taunted. Then perked up. "Yeah, I'm coming,"
Yume smiled and walked inside after Lumen. She was excited to see Lord Death.
Lord Death saw Lumen and Yume, and waved his hands. "Hello! Heya Hiya!!"
Soul noticed he had made BlackStar quiet. He felt a bit bad. "Hey, you alright?"
Lord Death motioned at his mirror. It showed a picture of the sky, turning a light red color. "I think that are kishin in the basement is starting to become too powerful. I want to assign you and your friends to do some more work with it. Such an more security."
Soul shrugged. He could understand that maybe BlackStar's life with Yume was touchy. "Sorry, coming."
Lord Death smiled behind his mask. "Yes you may, if you're okay with that," he said, them held up a hand. "Be warned he may not take it lightly."
~ time skip ~
Soul answered his phone, worry shooting through him. "Lumen!" he exclaimed then heard she was in the hospital. "Oh my god.... OK I'm coming!! Is anybody with you?"
BlackStar raised an eyebrow. "I'm just walking!!" he scowled, but stopped the high and mighty act.
Gurēsu smiled weakly. "T-Thank you, ma'am."
Soul ran out the door, not even telling Maka what was going on. He leaped onto his bike, and drove off still on the phojem "I'll stay... Don't tell me now. I don't care what you may have done wrong. I'm just scared for you,"
Soul's heart dropped, and about shattered. He slowly walked to her bed, and dropped to his knees. He took her hand in his, the bracelet dangling over his hand a bit. "L-Lumen...." he stampeded, tears welling up in his eyes. "I.... I'm so sorry.... I'm so so sorry...." Soul's eyes got red from holding back tears, then he finally started to cry.
Yume and BlackStar entered the Death Room. They looked around, and saw that everything seemed okay in here even though the earthquake had almost tore the school down.
Lord Death saw the group of kids, and gave a warm welcome as always.
Yume was very suspicious as to why this place was untouched. Maybe there was some sort of a force that stopped it?
Faelin listened to the conversation, not really knowing what to say or do. She wasn't really all that interested either.
Soul got up a bit further on his knees, and hugged her, crying yet trying to stay strong. "I don't want you to die either, Lumen. I love you.. I can't lose you," he sniffles while hugging her.
BlackStar grabbed Yume's hand, and walked steadily to Lord Death unlike normal. He was definitely getting better.
Soul let go of her and nodded. He pulled a chair over and sat back down. He held her hand, putting his full attention to her. "Alright, please tell me"
Lord Death dipped his head. "I believe it was the kishin Asura. I need you all to secure him. Very bad things will happen if now. Soul, Maka, Tsubaki, BlackStar, Kid, Liz, and Patty have been through this before,"
Soul was shocked that she was part witch, but wouldn't dare leave her due to such a small fact. "I can't leave you. You mean too much to me for that to happen. I love you, Lumen."
BlackStar scowled. "Erhhh... That dang kishin.. They run ramped!"
Soul let go, very scared of this new problem. "Fe-Feathers?!" he asked, backing up slowly. He then ran out the door. "I need a nurse!!!" he called, dashing down the tight halls.
Soul gazed at the bird before him, terrified. His big red pupils were now small in fear. "Cancer doesn't do this...." he breathed, his usually calm self flaking away.
Soul was a little bit calmer knowing she was a shapeshifter, yet he was still scared.
BlackStar put a fist to his chest. "I'm with Soul on this one!"
Soul nodded, and slowly walked over to her. "I know..." he said, his deepish voice ringing clear.
