The dog barked and ran toward the bushes, it looked back in the middle of the yard, wanting them to follow it. It's eyes were full and large. A slight animal moaning came from the bushes.

Kquay-Nau-Dianne Uuyla`aGuwine Noshe'Ta'airi Bri`i felt the current, her eyes opened and she saw the being descending from the sky. She took no time to think, only instinct guided her movements, instinct and magic. She swiftly rose from sitting position to running. Breaking the magic of concealment she had placed around herself, she focused her power on her spinal column. Massive wings burst from her lifting her from the ground and into the air. She sped toward the being in the sky ahead of her. Opening her mouth she unleashed a ear splitting scream, and gathered shards of magic in her fists.... -

Inside the bushes curled up in a small ball was another dog, but it looked to be in much pain. The dog that had barked at the door was nuzzling the small dog and moaning. It looked up at the third dog and the girl with the bow.

The first dog stayed painfully close to Lauren as she entered the house. It never took it's eyes off of its partner.

Suddenly the first dog began to shift. It's body grew upward, it's fur shrank away, it's ears retreated into its head, and a man stood before Lauren. He stretched out his arms, and took the dame from her arms. "Give her to me. Do you have a syringe in there?" He asked Jessica, "Quickly now." He laid the dog on the couch, and knelt beside her.

The man open his coat and pulled out a vile of light blue liquid. He filled the syringe and knelt, petting the dog's head he quickly inserted the syringe into her neck. His shoulders softened when he was done, and he turned to the children. "I'm sorry to intrude, I would not have but for Susanna's sake." He waved a hand toward the dog on the couch. "She..."He stopped and his eyes wandered down. "Is there a place we could stay until she is better?" he asked.

Matthew walked into a room that was unoccupied and lay Susanna on the bed. She was snoring softly. Matt sat down in a chair next to the bed and sighed. He handled the situation, but he felt like it wasn't right, to abrupt. He hated this. All of it, but he didn't let it show. He had to be strong, like Susanna.
