Glacierpaw sat and watch snow fall outside, his tail tip flicking absent-mindedly. A peaceful feeling crept over him as he listened to the wind howl outside, stirring up the steadily falling snow.

Icicledrop saw that Firepaw was awake, and went over to him. "Glad to see you're awake," she mewed. "We're going hunting today. Are you ready to leave?"

Icicledrop nodded. "Good, let's get going then," she said, heading towards the exit.

Icicledrop headed towards the forest once she saw that Firepaw was following. Once she reached the shelter of the trees, she stopped and turned to Firepaw. "First I'll show you the hunting crouch," she announced, crouching low to the ground. She slowly began to inch forward, setting down her paws lightly. She made sure her tail didn't brush the ground. Once she demonstrated the crouch, she got up. "Now you try," she said.

Sorrelpaw trotted into camp, a squirrel clamped firmly in her jaw. After dropping her prey on the fresh-kill pile, she looked over to where Firestar was teaching Shadowpaw about the warrior code. Distrust swelled inside of her. She was too young to fight against Bloodclan in the battle, but she had heard stories about how ruthless and cold-hearted the Bloodclan cats were. She remembered the clan returning after the battle, bloody and wounded. And she remembered how some cats had never returned to the camp. She had often wondered if the former rogue could be trusted to live among the clan.
Goldenflower was sunning herself outside of the nursery, a low purr rumbling in her throat. She wanted to take advantage of the warm days ahead before the chill of leafbare arrived.
