Barkpaw opened his eyes, blinking. His jaws parted in a small yawn, his mind whirling with the images of his vivid dream that he had experienced last night. He could still recall the wind ruffling his fur as he ran through the valley he called home. He could still hear the roaring sound of the waves crashing onto the shore as he approached the vast expanse of water, and he remembered the smell of salt as he stood on the seashore. Barkpaw had felt a strange calmness wash over him as he watched the waves endlessly toss themselves against the shore. He has always felt this way when he was on the seashore, and he will always cherish this feeling.

Barkpaw quickly decided to put this dream behind him so he could focus on the day ahead. He could always relive that dream here in the waking world, and he was certainly grateful for that. Sitting up, he twisted his head around to give his coat a quick wash.

Cherrynose sat in the valley, watching the rising sun slowly ascend in the sky. She had made a habit of getting up earlier than most cats, and she had to admit that she enjoyed watching the sun rise as the new day dawned on the entire valley. The orange and white she-cat knew that she would probably be needed for a patrol, but in all honesty she didn't really care. If they need her that badly, they can always come and find her. Cherrynose couldn't help but snort at the thought of a cat interrupting her alone time. She hated it when cats interrupted her, and the thought alone was enough to make her fur on the back of her neck bristle. The thought of a hunting patrol made her stomach growl, reminding her that she hasn't eaten since last night. A small breeze stirred the purple irises that surrounded her as she got up, finally deciding to stretch her legs with a small hunt.

Cherrynose jumped at the sudden noise, spinning around quickly to see Runningcreek. Forcing down a hiss of annoyance at her clanmate, she quickly faked a smile. "Hello, Runningcreek," she mewed. Hopefully this lump of fur would leave her alone if she just replied to his sickeningly cheerful greeting. It took great self-control not to claw his ears off right then and there, but Cherrynose successfully restrained herself. "What are you doing up so early?" she quickly inquired. And why did you have to irritate me out of all cats with your foolish antics? she thought sourly.

    ooc; alright, thanks.

ic; Glacierpaw trotted into the camp, his eyes gleaming with excitement. Two pitiful looking mice dangled from his mouth, but he hadn't originally planned on hunting when he left the camp. He had been out exploring the territory, and he decided to hunt on his way back to give his clanmates an excuse as to why he had been gone for so long. However, the hunt didn't go very well, and he only managed to catch a couple of scrawny mice. As he entered the main cave, he shook the snow off his pelt. He walked over to the fresh-kill pile and laid down his prey. Better than nothing, he thought to himself, his ears flicking as he looked around the camp.

Icicledrop opened her eyes, blinking in confusion. She had only intended to close her eyes for a couple of seconds, but she had drifted off into sleep. Shaking her head and getting up, she turned around to give her ruffled fur a couple of quick licks. Noticing that Glacierpaw was back from his little expedition, she couldn't help the snort of annoyance that escaped her. "He's been gone for nearly a day and he only manages to bring back two scrawny mice?" she muttered to herself, tail tip twitching.

Glacierpaw nodded in greeting to Cloveheart as she past him, blinking sympathetically once he saw Berrykit's face wrapped in cobwebs. Poor little scrap, he thought, wondering what happened while he was out.

Icicledrop twitched her ear but didn't say anything to Cloveheart. She wasn't in the best mood today, and she was making it quite obvious.

Deciding to go over to the nursery to see if he could overhear anything that might tell him what had happened, Glacierpaw slunk over to the nursery. Careful not to be seen, he pricked his ears and listened.

Icicledrop looked over at Echosong, "I fell asleep while I should've been doing something important for the clan," she answered the she-cat. Saying out loud made Icicledrop realize how silly it sounded, but she honestly didn't care if it was silly or not.

ic; Icicledrop looked over to where Glacierpaw was crouched, narrowing her eyes. "Alright, fine," she meowed. Her attention wandered to where the fresh-kill pile laid, and noticed itt was starting to get rather low. "I'll go out hunting then, the clan will need more than two pitiful excuses for mice," she decided, getting up. But before she went hunting, she had to do something. Walking up to where Glacierpaw was, she swatted his ear with her paw. "You shouldn't be eavesdropping on your clanmates," she stated matter-of-factly. "Now stop sticking your nose into other cats' business and go do something more productive."

Glacierpaw jumped in surprise as he felt Icicledrop swat his ear. He turned around, pelt burning with shame at being caught. He dipped his head to her, walking quickly past her and back into the main cave. Stifling a yawn, Glacierpaw headed towards the Apprentices' den. Maybe I won't get in trouble for taking a quick nap.

Icicledrop watched Glacierpaw walk off and headed for the exit. She knew it was a little too late to go out hunting, but she decided that a quick night hunt would put her in a better mood. Walking out into the cold night, she bounded off in the direction of the stream. She had felt like fishing tonight, so that's what she was going to do.

Icicledrop returned to camp with a trout clamped firmly in her jaw. She dropped her catch on the fresh-kill pile, and padded wearily towards the Warriors' den. Her stomach growled, but she felt too exhausted to eat anything. Entering the den, a strange yet familiar scent hit her. Blizzardbone? The thought of Blizzardbone returning startled her, but she decided to ask questions in the morning. Climbing into her nest, she curled up into it and quickly fell asleep.

Glacierpaw opened his eyes, blinking. Slowly getting up, he let a yawn escape from him. His nap had replenished his energy, and now he was ready to tackle the day. Turning around, he quickly groomed himself before padding out of the Apprentices' den. He quickly entered the main cave, glancing at the fresh-kill pile. He hadn't eaten last night, and his stomach growled at the thought of prey. Surely nobody will mind if I eat? he thought while padding over to the pile. He quickly snatched a hare from the pile, and trotted over to the entrance of the Apprentices' den. Settling down, he began eating the hare, taking quick, famished gulps. While he was eating, he pricked his ears, overhearing Stormpaw and Snowleap's conversation.

Glacierpaw walked out of the cave, fluffing up his fur at the cold. He was used to it by now, and he was glad his short fur was so thick. Snow was falling lightly from the sky, and he hoped that the snow wouldn't get too heavy while they were out. Glacierpaw headed towards the forest, repeating what Icefern said in his mind over and over so that he wouldn't forget. Looking around at the trees surrounding him, he felt proud to call this his home. Spying a stump from the corner of his eye, he suddenly veered towards it. A stump covered with moss, just like Icefern said. He looked around, spotting the bright green leaves of parsley stucking out of the ground a few tail lengths away. He walked over to the vivid plant, crouching down and beginning to break off stems.

With his mouth full of parsley, Glacierpaw got up. The silence made him feel rather awkward, and he tilted his head at Stormpaw. Why are you being so quiet? The question burned in his mind. He enjoyed hearing other cats talk about their day, talking about what kind of prey they had caught and the battles they've won. Even though he couldn't talk himself, he still enjoyed it. He began walking back to gthe cave, glancing over his shoulder to see if Stormpaw was following.
